Always keep this in mind.

That's right. The Republican party and the NRA have no problem demanding that guns be allowed in our public schools where they can put our children at risk, but when it comes to their own safety it is strictly no guns allowed.

Hypocrisy thy name is conservative.

CPAC panelist requires security to escort her out of the building after she calls conservatives out for supporting Donald Trump and Roy Moore.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Right wing pundit Mona Charen had to be protected and escorted by security officers when leaving the CPAC stage Saturday afternoon after voicing her opinion on Republicans who hypocritically support “sexual harassers and abusers of women,” specifically, President Donald Trump and former Senate candidate Roy Moore. She also called French neo-fascist Marine Le Pen a “disgrace.”

Charen was part of a four-person panel at CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, who was asked what riles her up.

“I’m disappointed in people on our side for being hypocrites about sexual harassers and abusers of women who are in our party, who are sitting in the White House, who brag about their extra-marital affairs, who brag about mistreating women,” Charen, speaking about President Trump, told the audience. They reportedly booed her.

“The Republican Party endorsed Roy Moore for Senate in the state of Alabama even though he was a credibly accused child molester,” she continued.

Several people in the audience booed and shouted, “Not true!”

“You cannot claim that you stand for women, and put up with that,” Charen insisted.

Now before you get too excited about this woman you should know that she writes books attacking liberals and  the LGBTQ community, and is essentially a fairly terrible person.

She just happened to speak a little truth in a place where truth is defined as an enemy of the people.

Speaking at CPAC NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch suggests that the media sees mass shootings as "ratings gold."

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Speaking at the 2018 Conservative Political Action Conference, Loesch noted that she had participated in a CNN town hall after the school shooting in Parkland, Florida that left 17 dead.

“Many in the legacy media love mass shootings,” she charged. “White crying mothers are ratings gold.”

“I call B.S.,” Loesch added, mocking a line from Parkland shooting survivor Emma Gonazlez. “I represent 5 million plus members [of the NRA], average everyday Americans, moms and dads. They do the school run, go to the grocery story, they’re students, they’re hunters. They are people like me who simply don’t want to be assaulted in the parking lot if we go to the grocery store to buy a gallon of milk at night!”

Before finishing her remarks, Loesch revealed that she needed armed guards to safely exit the CNN town hall.

“You heard that town hall last night, they cheered the confiscation of fire arms,” she explained. “And it was over 5,000 people. I have to have a security detail to get out. I wouldn’t have been able to exit that if I did not have a private security detail. There were people rushing the stage and screaming ‘burn her.'”

Speaking of B.S. I call that on Loesch's claim that the stage was rushed and she needed security to exit the event safely.

I assume that she is referring to this.
I don't see anybody rushing of the stage, or calls to "burn her," but I do see angry people, some who lost loved ones to gun violence, yelling "shame on you" to her as she is leaving.

Is that what made her feel unsafe, and that she needed armed security to protect her?

You know I used to think I would never come across a woman as despicable as Sarah Palin.

I was wrong.

Donald Trump tells CPAC audience that he is the president they have been waiting for, while some wave Russian flags in response.

Courtesy of Washington Post:

President Trump declared himself among friends as he delivered a campaign-style speech Friday at an annual gathering of conservative activists, where he told the crowd that the movement he built during his campaign represents the future of the Republican Party.

“Now you finally have a president, finally,” Trump said, later promising that “the forgotten men and women of America will be forgotten no more.”

With his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference at National Harbor in Maryland, Trump became the first sitting president since Ronald Reagan to address the group during his first year in office. After taking the stage to Lee Greenwood's “God Bless the U.S.A.," Trump pledged to return often.

The wide-ranging speech amounted to a victory lap for Trump and chance to recount his campaign promises as well as thank a wing of the party with which he has not always been in sync.

“The core conviction of our movement is that we are a nation that put and will put its own citizens first,” Trump said, prompting the crowd to chant: “U.S.A.! U.S.A.!”

You know it is becoming increasingly clear that Trump sees himself less as a president, than he does the second coming of Jesus Christ.

And this is how some in the audience responded to his all about me speech.
Okay this might be my favorite thing to ever happen at CPAC.

Not that there is a lot of competition for that title.

Book deal dead, CPAC speaking slot rescinded, and now ejected from Breitbart. The terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week of Milo Yiannopoulos.

Courtesy of CNN:

The professional provocateur has resigned as an editor at Breitbart News amid a firestorm over unearthed comments in which he seemed to endorse sex between "younger boys and older men."

Yiannopoulos released a statement on Tuesday afternoon, minutes before he was scheduled to give a press conference in Manhattan.

"It would be wrong to allow my poor choice of words to detract from my colleagues' important reporting, so today I am resigning from Breitbart, effectively immediately. This decision is mine alone," Yiannopoulos said in a statement.

While Yiannopoulos has made a living off of deliberately offensive statements, his comments on two recently discovered video clips proved too much, even for his friends and colleagues at Breitbart.

Jesus literally just 48 hours ago this guy was considered a conservative rising star.

And now he is essentially radioactive.

Gee, I guess promoting the idea that gays are pedophiles and that their sexual assault could work to help children "discover who they are" simply proved a bridge too far for the conservatives.

Remember it wasn't the antisemitic, anti-women, or racist comments that got Yiannopoulos in hot water.

Those apparently were just fine with the conservative folks, and even helped him to win a slot at CPAC this year.

Joan Walsh of "The Nation" recognizes that those disgusting comments were not only what made Yiannopoulos a star, but it is not the first time that kind of talk has done so:

But the question everyone should be asking is, how did a low-rent scam-artist like Yiannopoulos rise to the top of conservative politics, anyway? Even some conservatives are mystified. Reagan biographer Craig Shirley was aghast. “This is the first time I can recall a spoiled man child whose main purpose is self-promotion being selected as…[a] speaker at CPAC,” Shirley told The Daily Beast’s Matt Lewis.

Shirley’s memory is a little short. CPAC helped mainstream another “spoiled man child whose main purpose is self-promotion” just four years ago when the group invited Trump to speak at its conference. Yiannopoulos’s political trajectory tracks that of the man he calls “Daddy.” His fall shows that the craven opportunism of the modern conservative movement has at least one limit: pedophilia. Of course, both men should have been stopped long ago.

The rise of Yiannopolous is evidence that modern conservatism is mostly driven by fear, backlash, scapegoating, and whiny complaints about “political correctness,” which essentially comes down to white men complaining they can’t insult women and people of color without censure anymore. That’s the heart of Trump’s appeal, too.

Yep, there is a reason that Yiannopoulos calls Donald Trump "Daddy."

They share a similar pig-like DNA.

Trump was able to talk about "grabbing pussies," and walking in on young girls changing their clothes, and still get elected president. And one would think that in an environment like this conservatives should be able to get away with saying just about ANYTHING.

Unfortunately for Yiannopolulos he forgot the old adage, "Never get caught with a dead girl or a live boy." (Yes I know that in this case the idiot was not actually caught with a live boy, but from his words it sounds like there were a lot of time he could have been.)

By the way don't think is the last we will see of this pathetic little troll.

Personally I hope the media stays on this, because I would REALLY like to know who would fund something like this.

Here is Milo Yiannopoulos, Breitbart writer and one time scheduled speaker at CPAC, defending pedophilia. Update!

Courtesy of If You Only News:

In a hangout session recorded and posted online, the Breitbart writer is seen explaining to the group (including one person inexplicably wearing a wrestling mask) why raping children isn’t always bad. His justification was horrific.

“This arbitrary and oppressive idea of consent, which totally destroys the understanding that many of us have of the complexities and subtleties and complicated nature of many relationships.”

The relationship he was specifically referring to was talking about an adult having sex with a 13-year-old boy. Even the guy in the wrestling mask seemed embarrassed to be a part of this.

Yiannopoulos went on to suggest that boys who are raped as kids might experience a sexual awakening from the ordeal and might grow to enjoy it. This, again, is the logic rapists use to explain away their crimes.

If you are like me that probably made you a little sick to your stomach.

This Milo guy is a disgusting POS.

And this was certainly NOT the only time that he defended men preying on young boys. He did the same thing here on the Joe Rogan Show.

I have no idea why people keep giving this asshole a platform, and I was disgusted by virtually everything he said while appearing on Real Time last week, however he is currently a conservative darling and was indeed scheduled to speak at CPAC this week.

However with this new revelation his invitation has been revoked:
To be clear the fact that he was a disgusting racist POS did not bother the folks at CPAC right up until it became common knowledge that he also supported the statutory rape of little boys.

However he has worked for Steve Bannon at Breitbart for years, and surely THEY, as a news gathering organization, knew about his past defense of pedophilia.

So when will THEY cut him loose as well?

OR is he exactly the kind of fucked up people that they regularly employ?

Update: Milo's book deal is now dead, and there is a debate within Breitbart of whether or not he should continue working there.

Well there goes that career.

NRA head Wayne LaPierre blamed the shootings in America on gun free zones. And did so while standing in a gun free zone.

Courtesy of RT:

NRA head Wayne LaPierre spoke Thursday at the annual conservative convention, lambasting the creation of gun-free zones. He called the areas ‒ which often include schools, movie theaters and restaurants ‒ "the worst and most dangerous of all lies."

"The simple truth [is] that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,” LaPierre said, repeating a favorite conservative talking point. “The politicians and the media be damned."

There was of course this rather embarrassing fact about the convention at which LaPierre was speaking.
Yep the conservatives want to allow guns at every public place in America. Except in one where they might be shot of course.

On a related note:

On Thursday, gunmaker Smith & Wesson (SWHC) reported huge quarterly numbers. Third quarter revenues rose 61% year-over-year to $211 million, boosted by a 25.3% jump in handgun sales. Earnings per share of $0.59 beat estimates by $0.18, and the company is even more optimistic about the future, issuing strong guidance for next quarter.

In the company’s latest annual filing, the gunmaker said, “We experienced strong consumer demand for our firearm products following a new administration taking office in Washington, D.C. in 2009. In addition, speculation surrounding increased gun control at the federal, state, and local level and heightened fears of terrorism and crime can affect consumer demand for our products. Often, such concerns result in an increase in near-term consumer demand and subsequent softening of demand when such concerns subside.”

In other words with the NRA's help gun manufacturers were able to dramatically increase gun sales with claims that the Obama administration would soon make some gun sales illegal, or would even be "coming for our guns."

That fear, punctuated by reports or mass shootings, helped to put more guns in the hands of frightened people, terrified by the government, crime, and of course terrorism. (The Islamic kind of course, not domestic.)

Ben Carson drops out, after finally opening his eyes enough to see the obvious.

Courtesy of NBC News:

Ben Carson on Friday announced he is "leaving the campaign trail" after a string of disappointing finishes in the GOP presidential primary contests and urged his former Republican rivals for more civility.

"There's a lot of people who love me, they just won't vote for me," Carson said during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference taking place outside Washington, D.C.

The announcement was expected after Carson released a statement saying he does "not see a political path forward" after this week's Super Tuesday contests. He did not participate in Thursday's GOP debate in Michigan.

I like how these folks always use the term "suspends" when what they mean is "get the hell out."

Let's face it Ben Carson NEVER stood a chance anyhow.

Not only is it very unlikely that the GOP will nominate a black man for president EVER, but his election cycle in particular is defined by racism and intolerance.

I think I might actually miss Ben Carson a little.

I mean sure he was fun to mock, with his talk of Pyramid grain silos and his apparent narcolepsy, but he was also one the few folks in this race not acting like a middle school bully.

Donald Trump bails on CPAC so fast he misspells "Kansas."

Nah, those CPAC folks are even too crazy for me.
Courtesy of TPM:

Donald Trump cancelled his Saturday morning speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in suburban Washington, D.C., the conference announced on Twitter on Friday.
Apparently the Trump campaign confirmed the cancellation in a statement which misspelled both Wichita and Kansas and contained a number of other grammatical errors as well.
Here is the corrected statement.

I guess I'm a little surprised Trump is cancelling, I mean rampant racism, misspelled words, ad hominem attacks, you would think he would feel right at home.

Maybe it's because they won't allow him to bring that gun he always brags about carrying around with him, or because his other "side piece" was not invited to speak.

All I know is that this ensures that just about every other speech given will contain negative comments about him.

Well, color me unsurprised.

I swear if tomorrow hypocrisy became illegal the conservatives would simply wither up and die.

Which all in all is not such a terrible thought.

By the way guess who once again is NOT scheduled to speak

Tuesday, March 03, 2015

Newly released behind the scenes video shows Sarah Palin pimping "Amazing America" to NRA News and demonstrating why she really needs good writers and a teleprompter to help her make any sense.

Okay talk about disjointed speech patterns.

Currently Palin supporters, and her daughter's ghostwriter, are touting her CPAC speech as an indication of the REAL Sarah Palin. However this behind the scenes interview proves just the opposite.

Palin is all over the place in this interview and seems to be having significant trouble completing one thought before she gets distracted by something else.

You know, like usual.

And Palin's ridiculous argument against the FCC's net neutrality move is almost too stupid to comment on.

By the way the "average citizen" rarely knows what's right when it comes to complicated problems. That's why we go to the experts.

Bristol Palin's ghostwriter earns her money by laying a big juicy smooch on Sarah Palin's bony ass.

As you read this keep in mind that was written by the lady on the left, not the illiterate imbecile on the right.

From a post called "Why People Love Sarah Palin" courtesy of Brancy's blog:

Sometimes when I’m just hanging out with Mom in Wasilla (No you're not, you're just the ghostwriter.), it’s easy to forget how other people perceive her. That’s why I was so excited to go to Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) with her — it’s just fun to see her in action. (Plus she needs somebody to help her with her makeup.)

The crowds just love her! They hang on her every word. And she always gives her time to talk with people. They know she’s one of them.

Here are some of those people who love her so much streaming out before she finishes taking questions.

Mom knocked it out of the park this week at the She talked about how we as a country should take better care of our veterans. This was a very personal speech for her and our family, since Track served in the Army and was deployed to Afghanistan twice. (Yep, gotta mention Track. After all that is why Palin made him enlist in the first place.)

I don’t know anyone who loves our military more than my mom. She honors their service every chance she gets. The quote she shared from George Washington is what she wants too: “With a heart full of love and gratitude… I most devoutly wish that your latter days may be as prosperous and happy as your former ones have been glorious and honorable.”

Here is Palin showing support for the troops by helping one of them destroy her political aspirations.
Nancy then goes on to link to a Breitbart article praising the CPAC speech.

Here is the summation:

Even people who aren’t fans of my mom have to admit that “she had fire and passion,” and she spoke “with an authority and an emotional impact.”

Some have called her speech “un-Sarah-Palin-ish,” but this is the mom I’ve always known and loved. It’s the same person she’s always been, and that’s why the American people continue to love her!

Once again these are not the words of Sarah's daughter Bristol Palin. These are the words that a ghostwriter is paid to write as a phony representation of Bristol's adoration for her mother, and to help promote her mother's agenda.

In other words this is as phony as the persona that Palin adopted during CPAC.

The Sarah Palin we saw at CPAC was the carefully constructed creation that she needed desperately to portray to the public after they became stunned and disgusted by the  REAL Sarah Palin that showed up in Iowa and in the photo above.

And the really sad part is that not only does it take a team of paid writers, advisers, and groomers to make Palin palatable to the public at large, but it also takes a paid ghostwriter to create the image of a supportive and loving family.

Sometimes trolls will suggest that we are all jealous of Sarah Palin in some way, and that is why we are critical. However nothing could be farther from the truth.

I think she is a pitiful person and a victim of her own ignorant ambition. As are almost all of the members of her immediate family.

P.S. By the way is Bristol dating Dakota Myers, from the Fuc_ You  Michael Moore picture, now?

This is what she wrote under the photo:

had such a good weekend in ky with this cutie

As Bill O'Reilly would say, "Trial daddies come in, trial daddies go out, nobody can explain that."

Results of CPAC straw poll show that Jeb Bush does better than expected and Sarah Palin beats Mike Huckabee.

Here are the CPAC straw poll results courtesy of the Washington Times:

25.7 Sen. Rand Paul
21.4 Gov. Scott Walker
11.5 Sen. Ted Cruz
11.4 Dr. Ben Carson
8.3 Former Gov. Jeb Bush
4.3 Former Sen. Rick Santorum
3.7 Sen. Marco Rubio
3.5 Donald Trump
3.0 Carly Fiorina
2.8 Gov. Chris Christie
1.1 Former Gov. Rick Perry
0.9 Gov. Bobby Jindal
0.8 Former Gov. Sarah Palin
0.3 Former Gov. Mike Huckabee
0.3 Former Ambassador John Bolton
0.1 Sen. Lindsey Graham
0.1 Former Gov. George Pataki

1.0 Undecided
0.7 Other

A couple of surprises.

One that Jeb Bush was able to come in fifth in a rather hostile environment.

Two that Rick Santorum is still even allowed to participate in these things anymore.

And three that Sarah Palin was able to come out ahead of a man who actually quit his successful show on Fox to prove that he was serious about running, while all she does is shake her moneymaker until things get hot and then up and quits each election cycle.

The Duck Commander's advice to potential presidential candidates at CPAC, "Carry your Bible and your woman."

Courtesy of Raw Story:

“In case one of you gets to be president of the United States, make sure you carry your Bible and your woman,” the reality star advised. “I’m just saying, safety. Safety.”

According to Robertson, the United States was “almost” at a place where both religion and morality had been lost.

And to make his point, he asserted that the CDC said that 110 million people in the United States were suffering from sexually transmitted diseases or infections.

“I don’t want you to die early!” he exclaimed. “It you’re disease free and she’s disease free, you’re married, you keep your sex right there, you won’t get sick from a sexually transmitted disease! Come on!”

“There is a penalty to be paid from what the beatniks and it morphed into the hippies!” the Duck Commander continued. “What do you call the 110 million people who have sexually transmitted illnesses? It’s the revenge of the hippies! Sex, drugs and rock & roll have come back to haunt us! In a bad way!”

I hate to break it to ole Duckie there, but premarital sex and multiple sexual partners predates hippies by several thousands of years.

Not only that but the hippies had some pretty good ideas about doing away with war, sexism, and racism that I really think we could use a little more of these days.

Sure having sex with more than one partner has some risk factor, but so does owning a gun, driving a car, or eating at Chick fil A, yet I don't see this moron getting all worked up about that.

I always love it when people who get their information about marriage and sex from a book written thousands of years ago, try to give the rest of us advice on how to live our lives.

“You want a godly, biblical, medically safe option? One man, one woman, married for life.”

You know if I want a boring, unfulfilling, sexually frustrating option, I just might make that choice.

But until then sexually transmitted diseases, here I come!

(Just kidding kids. Remember, no glove, no love.)

Once again Sarah Palin benefits from the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Look how proud she is of herself.

This is right after Palin delivered a speech that where she did not start to babble incoherently, or confuse dates and addresses, or become overly defensive and combative.

In other words it was not filled with the kinds of gaffes that we have all come to expect from a Palin speech.

And that has managed to impress a handful of reporters.  Such as Sam Levine from the Huffington Post:

Her latest remarks were certainly clearer than a confusing speech she gave last month at the Iowa Freedom Summit, which was criticized by conservatives and cheekily applauded by Democrats. The focus of her Tuesday speech was also a contrast to her previous two CPAC speeches in which she focused more on lobbing zingers at President Barack Obama.

Yes the speech was clearer, and there were fewer mistakes, while also offering only a crouton or two of word salad, so I guess that makes it a good speech?

Here was how the Daily Beast's Olivia Nuzzi reported on the speech:

A typical Palin speech usually involves props: Dr. Seuss books or Big Gulp sodas. This year, she has none.

A typical Palin speech is usually an incoherent string of Palinisms haphazardly strung together in her folksy twang. This year, she is subdued and barely has any accent at all.

What the hell is going on? Have the last six years of Palin’s public life just been performance art? Has she purposefully been lowering the bar for her public appearances so that she could come out and impress just ahead of Republican primary season?

So the bar for a successful speech by Sarah Palin is simply coherence.  Man I certainly wish this lady had been my professor in college, I would have aced every test.

And look how easily Nuzzi is sucked in.

All it takes is one speech where Palin does not drool all over herself for her to suspect that all of her other incomprehensible speeches were some kind of set up.

Seriously? Has she not heard Palin struggling to answer simple, unscripted questions?

And how does she NOT realize that this entire outing was carefully scripted so as to repair the damage that she caused with her LAST speech in Iowa?

Of course not all journalists were fooled. This from Margaret Talev at Bloomberg news:

Sarah Palin rallied conservative Republicans on Thursday with a charged critique of President Barack Obama's approach to fighting Islamic radicalism, suggesting he is betraying U.S. Christians and ignoring the lessons of the Nazis.

Yes, she actually DID attack President Obama several times, and invoked Nazis to do so.

No Sarah Palin has not changed, improved, or been tamed. She is now, and always will be the same ignorant, vindictive, grifting lunatic she has always been.

And just because she is occasionally caught without flecks of foam gathering around her herpes infested maw is no reason to think otherwise.

Update: Here's another oh so flattering picture.

Thursday, February 26, 2015

Sarah Palin's entire speech at CPAC.

The topic that Palin claims to have been asked to speak on was veterans. So you know she was ready to trot out the name of old Warrior Body himself Track Palin.

Palin starts off by giving us a history lesson in which she suggests that George Washington set the standard for honoring our veterans and that we have fallen far short of that. (I actually agree with that.)

Palin makes the very valid point that our veterans today are serving longer deployments than all military servicemen before them, and even lays out the multiple problems they are facing after they finish their military service. (Of course she injects Track's name, claiming she worried about him while he was in Iraq, without revealing her role in forcing him to go into the military in the first place.

But then Palin decides to lay ALL of the blame for the mistreatment of our returning vets on the Obama administration, without a word of condemnation for the Bush administration, which is ridiculous since it was they who sent these men and women overseas in the first place with no adequate plan for their return.

Palin also decides to blame Obama for "not winning the wars:"

"But see the thing that those vets, from the Revolutionary war, what they had, that today's troops don't, is victory. And that is the thing that they cherish most. They deserve to know that their sacrifices are not in vain. To know that what they fought for, and what their friends died for was worth it."

At no point does Palin bother to remind the crowd that the war raged under the Bush administration for six years with no sign of victory on the horizon. No in Palin's version of history the Republicans started a glorious righteous war, that the Democratic President lost. Undoubtedly on purpose.

Palin goes on to blame Obama for "waving the white flag" and suggests that he has allowed the "Islamic terrorists" to grow stronger because he does not want to engage them.

"Aside from God almighty what is the only force strong enough to keep this barbaric rolling tide at bay? The only thing standing in between us and savages? It's the red, white, and blue It's the United States military."

Yep, that is a thing that she said.

Palin goes on to gin up fear among the audience concerning ISIS and claim that due to President Obama's "lead from behind" approach that Christians are being killed by them all over the Middle East. (She does not seem to care how many Muslims they kill, only the Christians matter in Palin world.)

"Oh the naive Obama state department. They say 'We can't kill our way out of war.' Really? Tell that to the Nazis. Oh wait you can't, because they're dead. We killed em."

Palin's lack of understanding about the difference in fighting a standing army, and a terrorist organization is stunning. But that CPAC crowd ate it up with a spoon.

At this point in the speech Palin goes into full military pander mode, and even manages to fake a little emotion as well.

At the end of the speech Palin participates in a really short Q and A, where unlike previous speakers she is only asked to respond in one word answers. They call it a "lightning round." (You know that was arranged to keep her from saying anything stupid.)

Question: "Barack Obama?"

Palin answer: "Sorry. Hey we came in second out of two. Sorry."

Question: "Hillary Rodham Clinton?"

Palin answer:  "I'm sorry."

I'm noticing a pattern.

Question: "Lady Margaret Thatcher?"

Palin answer: "Iron."

The next question is about her message to young people which she responds to with a helping of the word sausage that the organizers were working hard to keep her from vomiting forth.

The last question is whether she thinks there is a double standard in the way the media treats liberal female candidates and conservative female candidates, and of course Palin answers "Yes."

Below is a tweet from reporter Kasie Hunt demonstrating how much of the audience responded to the Q and A.

Sarah Palin sighting at CPAC. Update!

(Sent by an IM fan.)

Apparently this outfit is Palin's entire wardrobe for the week as it is also what she wore to visit Disney World with Bristol.

Oh yeah, that's going to set a fashion trend.

By the by, SarahPAC is currently trying to scrape together a few bucks for the fashion maven by selling these crappy "I Stand with Bibi" t-shirts.

Palin better get comfortable with that top, it looks like it might be a while before she can afford anything new with money from her rapidly diminishing supporter base.

At some point she will have to start "gasp" spending her own money.

Update: Here's another one from that Gina Loudon woman:

Perhaps the greatest letter ever written to Sarah Palin. And it was written by a 12 year old girl.

Madison Kimrey
Courtesy of Liberals Unite:

Dear Sarah Palin,

Usually, I’ll read about some things you said and laugh. I’m not laughing today. The reason I’m not laughing today, Sarah, is that I’m a young woman who actually cares about my country. I care about the next generation of leaders, and I want them to have more role models in the political arena that inspire them, not more clowns for them to laugh at. I want them to have advocates who will fight for them, not more attention-seeking snake oil salespeople.

You tweeted on Monday, “Look who fired the 1st shot in the real ‘war on women. Hint: it wasn’t the GOP. See this excerpt from Hillary’s book.” The excerpt from Hilary Clinton’s book describes a situation in which she felt uncomfortable making a statement questioning the legitimacy of your selection as John McCain’s running mate as an attempt to use a woman to appeal to women voters. Really? You think this was the “first shot” in the war on women? You don’t think women have had to fight for every right we currently have, every opportunity we have? You don’t think women must continue to fight for these rights and opportunities which are constantly under attack? Well, let me tell you what I see from my house, Sarah. You’re the one who is fighting a war here, not just on women but on justice, enlightenment, and freedom.

When you spoke at CPAC, you declared that a culture war had been won against “perpetual panties-in-a-wad people” because a homophobe marketing himself as a redneck didn’t lose his job on a reality TV show. Well, let’s talk about our panties, shall we? There was a time not too long ago when women only had one choice when it came to their panties. Now, opening the underwear drawer can provide an endless array of colors and styles. I think it’s past time that you choose to put your big girl panties on and stop defending the ridiculous, perpetuating false attacks on our president and appearing at Tea Party rallies holding your hand over your heart. That’s not politics, it’s pandering. You, Sarah, are pandering to the lowest common denominator instead of trying to promote reasonable discourse and the across-the-aisle approach to policy that the majority of Americans want.

You seem to think women like me are “cheap dates” who are going let anyone in their panties who says what they want to hear. That would be the people you’re pandering to, Sarah. That would be the people who think the 2nd Amendment means carrying an assault rifle into Target. That would be the extremists who cover the bodies of their victims with “Don’t Tread on Me” flags. That would be the people who threaten women with rape for speaking out on the issues.

The future of this country deserves better. I deserve leadership who, regardless of whether or not I agree with their policy positions, is capable of conducting themselves with dignity. I deserve leaders who, when attacking the positions of their opponents, attack them with the truth. This nation deserves leaders who work to expand the opportunities and rights of all Americans and who don’t contribute to tragic outcomes for our fellow citizens.

I’ve tried very hard to find something to admire about you. The struggle was real. I do admire that our country has come so far that you and I as women have the opportunity to speak out and engage in the political sphere. Even though I disagree with your positions and methods, I admire you for using the opportunity so many women who came before us have fought for us to have. I don’t know how far I will choose to pursue my career in the political sphere, but it would be pretty cool to come out the way you did at CPAC with some music playing before my speech. You chose, “She’s Country.” This is my choice, and I hope the youth of this nation will continue to join their voices and sing so loudly we eventually drown out the voices of ignorance, greed, and intolerance.

Sincerely,

Madison Kimrey

Damn! I feel like I have found my long lost daughter.

This is not Kimrey's first time writing an open letter to a Right Wing lunatic, in April she did the same for Phyllis Schlafly.

She also has a blog called Functional Human Being.

Sort of comforting to know that one day when I hang up my keyboard that there are gifted writers like this ready to take on corrupt politicians, Right Wing wingnuts, and homophobes in my absence.

Sarah Palin gives interview about new faux hunting show, Fact Check.org calls her CPAC speech mooseshit, while Jimmy Fallon mocked the fact she plagiarized Dr. Seuss.

Courtesy of Access Atlanta:

Politician turned pundit Sarah Palin says vegetarianism "is an old Indian word for poor shot" in a new interview appearing in the April issue of the magazine Guns & Ammo.

She also shares wisdom from her father, who advocated taking children on hunting expeditions. "I'm really blessed that all my kids love a rugged outdoor lifestyle," she says.

You know that whole "Indian word for poor shot" joke is as old and used up as Palin's lady parts.

Oh and by the way we call them Native Americans today.

For the record there is virtually nobody in Wasilla who has ever known Sarah to hunt, and seasoned hunters who have seen her hold a rifle all agree she could not hit the side of a barn if the barrel were pressed up against it. I have little doubt that his interview will be chock full of the same fake family mythology and bullshit as ever other one she has ever given.

Speaking of bullshit, here is what FactCheck.org reported about her comments about Obamacare at CPAC:

Sarah Palin told her fellow conservatives at CPAC that “there are more uninsured today than when Obama began all of this,” referring to the Affordable Care Act. But there is no evidence of that. Annual Census surveys show the percentage of uninsured Americans in 2010, when the ACA became law, was 16.3 percent. It dropped to 15.7 percent in 2011 and 15.4 percent in 2012. Gallup surveys show the percentage of uninsured Americans hit a five-year low in the first two months of this year.

It is too early to determine the full impact of the ACA, but the fact is that the percentage of uninsured Americans has been on the decline since the law took effect — and, conversely, the percentage of the insured has increased. Congressional budget experts project that the law will reduce the number of the uninsured by 13 million by the end of this year.

The Census Bureau’s annual Current Population Survey shows 16.3 percent of Americans were without health insurance in 2010, when the law took effect. Since then, the rate has fallen to 15.7 percent in 2011 and 15.4 percent in 2012. (The raw numbers have gone down, too, from 50 million uninsured in 2010 to 48 million in 2012.)

As for the state of the “uninsured today,” which was Palin’s time frame, Gallup regularly conducts a survey called the Well-Being Index of more than 28,000 Americans. On March 10, Gallup issued a press release on its latest survey that carried the headline, “U.S. Uninsured Rate Continues to Fall.” The survey, which covered Jan. 2 to Feb. 28, shows the percentage of uninsured Americans hit a new five-year low at 15.9 percent, down from 17.1 percent in the final quarter of 2013.

By the end of 2014, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates the law will reduce the number of uninsured Americans by 13 million people. The report says there will be 25 million fewer uninsured Americans in 2024 because of the law.

In other words, piles and piles of Palin's signature brand of moose poop.

In fact the Affordable Care Act is doing quite well, and one can only imagine how much better it would have done if the conservatives had not been pissing on it from the moment it was passed, and had actually worked to help make it more successful.

But what am I saying, that would have meant doing something good for their constituents.

Now in the comedy arena Palin provided much inspiration, especially for Jimmy Fallon.
