Stephen Colbert humorously mocks the Redskins over racism on his show, predicts that certain "small minded" people will not get the joke. Michelle Malkin and the Right Wing go out of their way to prove him right.

Courtesy of Americans Against the Tea Party:

Yesterday, Stephen Colbert masterfully made a point about Redskins owner Dan Snyder refusing to change the team’s name but starting a foundation to help Native Americans in his usual satirical way.

Colbert has, through the years, played his role well, often using offensive humor to highlight some of the darker aspects of our society. As a right-wing character, Colbert utilized Asian stereotypes in an effort to make the point that if the Redskins were employing any other racial stereotype, people would care.

Conservatives, of course, leapt on the opportunity to pretend they are not racist by jumping at one of their most hated enemies on Twitter, after Comedy Central quoted part of the segment out of context–making for the perfect opportunity for the right-wing to slam Colbert without actually watching the segment!

The above was a tweet from Comedy Central on behalf of the Colbert Report.

Of course it received some outrage from the suddenly ethnically sensitive Right Wing. Which prompted this response from Michell Malkin:

That's right she is calling for the Colbert Show to be cancelled because she does not understand parody.

And she was not finished yet.

Of course a few of Malkin's flying monkeys also jumped on the bandwagon.

This level of cognitive dissonance inspired Colbert to tweet this from his personal account:
The tweet contains the link to the bit that was referred to by the Comedy Central account, and once you watch it you kind of have to admire how deftly Colbert baited the hook in order to reel in the Right Wing's professional outrage machine.

I have every expectation that Colbert, and possibly other late night comedians, will have a field day with this in the coming days.

Sometimes it is like shooting fish in a barrel. Stupid, stupid, fish.

Sarah Palin MIA on Hannity yesterday.

So yesterday this was posted on Palin's ghostwritten Facebook page:

Today, I’m in a remote area in Alaska (in Illiamna in Bristol Bay) and heading back in Todd’s float plane to do an interview for Hannity’s show on Fox in a few hours from our house.

So of course the Sea O'Pee'ers damn near wet themselves with anticipation.

However Hannity came on and immediately started to talk about the Zimmerman trial, in the first segment usually reserved for the Princess of Poison Punditry. And by the end of the show it was pretty clear that she was not making an appearance.

Which was kind of odd considering the fact that Hannity had a segment on his show called "Is the Left Demonizing the Tea Party?" A segment that literally cried out for the nonsensical word salad of the Tundra twit.

This of course did not escape the notice of the barely coherent Palin-bots who were shocked from their usual stupor to do a thing we call "ask questions.

"We are just as disappointed as you all are that Governor Palin’s segment was not on. Her Facebook post technically does not suggest it would have been aired tonight, but I do believe two very reliable folks who say they heard Sean advertise it today on his radio show.

Whatever the case is, hopefully they will run it soon and once again I have no idea why FOX tonight is spending all this time talking about Zimmerman after one of the biggest legislative follies in history came out of the Senate today.

Some are already claiming that the segment will air on different days, yet we cannot confirm through Governor Palin or FOX, so we’ll await confirmation.

Michele Malkin's insane Twitter focused blog Twitchy gathered a number of angry Palin-bot Tweets demanding to know where Sarah Palin was and accusing Hannity of being liar and tool of the GOP. (Right on both counts!)

Later this was posted on Twitchy:

You do not want to make Sarah Palin angry, and while you’re at it, you shouldn’t make Sarah Palin fans angry either. Palin was to have returned to Fox News tonight with an appearance on Sean Hannity’s show, but her segment was reportedly postponed after being hyped by the network. While viewers did get to see the same footage of the George Zimmerman trial we’ve seen all day long, most would have preferred Palin to “star witness” Rachel Jeantel.

Now I have no reason to place any faith in the accuracy of the "reporting" from Twitchy as it links to a Palin propaganda site for its explanation. And it seems to me that Hannity's show had plenty of room for Palin's interview as proven by that liberals vs teabagger segment I cited earlier.

So, what happened? If it was just a logistical problem with Palin not making it back home in time, you would think THAT would be offered as the simple explanation. Because I have to tell you IF Palin traveled all the way from Bristol Bay just to film this interview with Hannity, and then got bumped, well that goes to show a dismissive attitude toward the Wasilla Wendigo that will certainly not sit well with her fans, OR with the Grizzled Mama herself.

Favorite example of conservative infighting of the day.

So apparently Michele Malkin and Donald trump have started a Twitter battle that is pretty damn ugly, and gloriously entertaining.

Mediaite has all the ugly details:

Malkin’s conservative Twitter aggregator site Twitchy took to calling the real estate mogul and recent CPAC speaker Trump a “conservafraud.”

Shortly thereafter, Malkin took to Twitter — as she is wont to do — to ask Trump why he once called her a “dummy” and “smeared” her “past.”

Oooh, calling the Donald a "coward." That is not going to go over well.

Ouch! Well if Malkin is even remotely familiar with Trump she should have expected this.

Think she learned her lesson? She is a Right Wing moron so of course she didn't.

Others on Twitter are trying to warn Malkin that Trump has no scruples, but it does not look like she is listening.

That is all Mediaite had so far but trust me the battle rages on.

This was Malkin's last salvo:

Can I just say how much fun it is to sit back and watch two of the most distasteful people on the planet ripping into each other in a public forum?

Now if you will excuse me I think my popcorn needs some more butter.

Michelle Malkin, Right Wing firebrand and official crazy person, agrees that Obama IS responsible for Republican infighting. Seriously?

Courtesy of Mediaite:

Conservative commentator Michelle Malkin stopped by Fox & Friends Saturday morning to agree with her Republican colleague Charles Krauthammer about the “internal civil war” within the GOP. Malkin called it “obvious” that President Obama‘s strategy was to “drive a wedge” between Republicans.

According to Malkin, Obama and the White House have “narrative setters in the liberal media” who are “raring” to blame Republicans for a fall over the fiscal cliff. She claimed, “House Republican conservatives who are holding the line aren’t going to get what they want.”

Malkin criticized some of her fellow Republicans saying there is now a split between “House conservative Republicans and House ‘capitulationist’ Republicans.” According to her, Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid will sit down later today to attempt a compromise and that’s “never a good thing.” She continued accusing Obama of setting up the GOP war, claiming,

“If they don’t come up with something, again that wedge gets driven further and Obama can sit in the catbird seat and blame, blame, blame Republicans for their obstructionism.”

So once again we hear how this completely incompetent  un-American pretender to the Presidency, is suddenly now considered so diabolical that he has single-handedly destroyed the Republican party by pitting Teabaggers against the establishment Republicans until they kill each other off.

You know, if this were true I would be organizing a grass roots political campaign to give the man a THIRD term in office. However I think it removes the responsibility of these idiots for sending political illiterate paint chip eaters to Washington to obstruct progress, and who are now bitching that the progress has been obstructed!

After all what in the hell did these morons think would be the outcome of handing power over to a group of people who had, at least for a while, chosen Sarah Palin as their honorary leader?

I mean come on!

Palin to rally army of Right Wing bloggers. Oh, this can't be a good thing!

Courtesy of Fox Nation:

The conservative blogosphere has yet to move past the death of patron saint Andrew Breitbart, but it will get a major jolt this month from an equally provocative hero: Sarah Palin.

The former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee has committed to delivering the keynote address at Right Online, the annual gathering of conservative bloggers and online activists organized by the Koch-backed non-profit group Americans for Prosperity Foundation.

The June 15-16 conference will be the first time the event is held on a different weekend and in a different city from the liberal online activism conference upon which it was based, Netroots Nation.

And that’s no mere coincidence, say Right Online organizers.

This year’s meeting is focused on higher-level tactics and strategies than past year’s editions of Right Online, which sometimes had the feel of a crash course on blogging 101. The Vegas conference features training on video exposes to be conducted by guerrilla video journalist James O’Keefe, a session on polling featuring conservative’s favorite pollster Scott Rasmussen and a session moderated by columnist Michelle Malkin entitled “How to Use Facebook & Twitter to Win,” which will include instruction on using social media to drive narratives.

It’s an area in which Palin can rightly be considered a pioneer, having mastered a high-impact, communication style that almost completely circumvents a traditional media from which she’s sometimes gotten rough treatment.

You know much of the reason that Palin is now considered an internet pioneer is related to her frustration over the information that was gathered and dispensed online by the Alaska bloggers.

Palin became obsessed with us, and in response brought Rebecca "RAM" Mansour up here for her "audience with the Queen," so that she could utilize C4P to fight back against the uncomfortable truths that were being revealed on a daily basis.

Of course even then she could never manage to actually work the internet without somebody ghostwriting her Facebook posts and online articles for her.

Palin has not so much "mastered" the online communication, as hidden herself behind it in order to shape a mythology about herself that her on air appearances all too quickly reveal to be false.

Having said that I have to admit to being more than a little uncomfortable with the idea of Palin somehow leading a crazy ass army of blogging sycophants, willing to fill the internet with lies about the President and attacking our democracy one post at a time, while also working to reshape Palin's image so that she can once again be relevant.

Gee can you even imagine having Sarah Palin, James O'Keefe, and Michelle Malkin all at the same conference?  That is almost TOO much insanity even for Vegas!

Can you spot the Fox pundits, unethical politicans, and neocon mouthpieces in this beautifully photoshopped version of "Alice in Wonderland"?

This wonderful piece of art was created by Blue Gal, and if you visit her blog she will reveal all of the little so-called "patriots" milling around in the poster. (She also posted it over at Crooks and Liars.)

Wow! I wish I had that kind of talent.

I also need to give a H/T to Kajo for bringing it to my attention.
