I saved this just for today.

You hold those loved ones close my friends, because who knows next year we might be celebrating the holidays in an underground bunker.

Believe it or not the Sarah Palin/Azealia Banks feud is going into overtime. Update!

As we posted yesterday Sarah Palin has threatened to sue Banks over those rather disgusting remarks she made on Twitter.

Before that came out Banks had issued an almost apology, but now it seems that the rapper is no mood to smooth things over.

You know if Palin had not cut her advisers loose when the SarahPAC funds started drying up, she might have had someone around to tell her that responding to a rapper in a war of words is something that even Trig would be too smart to fall for.

Let's face it this Azealia Banks faces NO downside for going after Palin.

Her audience is only going to like her more for taking on a racist icon, and Sarah Palin's few remaining supporters would not buy a rap album with a gun to their head.

And if Palin were to ACTUALLY try to sue this person, not only would that suddenly make Banks one of the most famous rappers in the country, but she would lose badly and attract even more scorn from the African American community.

If Sarah Palin has even one surviving brain cell left in her head she will accept defeat and walk away while she still can.

Update: And now Nancy French, as Bristol's doppelganger, joins the scrum.

Palin hiding behind her faux daughter, who did not see that one coming?

I guess if Banks goes after Bristol then poor Sailor Grace will be pressed into service as a human shield as well.

Seriously Michelle Obama is like the coolest FLOTUS ever, amirite?

Courtesy of HuffPo:

As if we didn't already think Michelle Obama was the chillest FLOTUS yet, her new rap video will make you love her even more (and want to go to college).

The first lady teamed up with "Saturday Night Live" comedian Jay Pharoah to drop a beat about the benefits of higher education.

"If you wanna fight crime, you should go to college/If you wanna write rhymes fill your head with knowledge/If you wanna stare at grass don't go to college, but for everything else you should go to college," Obama expertly raps alongside Pharoah, from a recording studio that appears to be inside the White House.

I love Michelle Obama!

It is really going to be a shame when she and Barack are no longer our first couple.

Though I have to admit I can certainly imagine "first gentleman" Bill Clinton pulling off something like this as well.

A rap guide to Evolution. Six minutes of pure brilliance.

Cynic, skeptic, a man of no faith, I have been called them all.

But in truth I am just a man who feels driven to brush away the fallacies and myths in order to better appreciate the miracle of life that is all around me.

And what better way to appreciate then to realize that I am a part of it all, as wondrous as the star matter which whirls around inside of me, and as simple as the individual cells that give me this shell to call me own.

I don't need religion to tell me I am special, I already know that.

In fact so are we all.

I would never let anything as provincial as a god, or a pantheon of gods, come between me and the magnificence of our universe.

Nor, in my opinion, should any of us.

Will the real Mitt Romney please stand up?

Very nicely done.

I am always amazed by how many truly creative people are out there using their talents in such inventive ways. This must have taken quite a lot of work, and it deserves to be seen by as many people as possible.

Protest song for Wisconsin.

Here are the lyrics courtesy of likala.

Scott Walker works for multi billionaires
John Boehner works for multi billionaires
while corporations get billions in welfare
and millions in this country been out of work for years

Sarah Palin works for multi billionaires
American workers vs multi billionaires
they wanna end social security and medicare
while millions in this country don't have a dime to spare

Can main street get a bailout
Tell the president our checks weren't mailed out
Tell the house of representatives and senate
And whatever business got the stimulus and spent it
Now they getting record profit that's tripling with no limits
But they cutting jobs and unemployment benefits have ended
How we gone live with no income coming in
And the little help we get is cut from the budget then
What's the role of government
Do workers stand a chance if multi billionaires are running it
Oh now you worried bout the deficit and cutting it
But when them banks needed billions you had enough for them.
Them car companies you had bucks for them
2 wars rebuilding 2 countries guess we stuck with them
the average citizen just ain't lucky then
cause we be getting pimped so I guess we getting fucked again

Rush Limbaugh works for multi billionaires
Bill O'Reilly works for multi billionaires
while corporations get billions in welfare
and millions in this country been out of work for years

Sean Hannity works for multi billionaires
Crazy Glenn Beck works for multi billionaires
they wanna end social security and medicare
while millions in this country don't have a dime to spare

When did the American worker become the enemy
Why is wanting a living wage such a penalty
What happened to justice and liberty
These billionaire haters wanna crush us literally
On the box is Murdoch and his foxes
And if you watch it you might as well be an ostrich
They terrorists cause they hold facts hostage
24 hours straight of we hate what Barack did
If you want to unionize your a communist
But if you buy a congressman they just call you a lobbyist
It's so obvious but here's where the problem is
they act like regular Americans but they sloppy rich
Why you think they wanna cut taxes
cause every single one of them in the higher brackets
This ain't white or black it's class warfare time for action
Just look at wide the gap is

American workers vs multi billionaires
The middle class vs multi billionaires
while corporations get billions in welfare
and millions in this country been out of work for years

Rupert Murdoch is multi billionaires
the Koch brothers are multi Billionaire
they wanna end social security and medicare
while millions in this country don't have a dime to spare

By the way it looks like the Madison police chief has some real concerns about what Governor Walker said to that fake Koch brother:

"I spent a good deal of time overnight thinking about Governor Walker's response, during his news conference yesterday, to the suggestion that his administration 'thought about' planting troublemakers among those who are peacefully protesting his bill," Wray said in a statement." I would like to hear more of an explanation from Governor Walker as to what exactly was being considered, and to what degree it was discussed by his cabinet members."

"I find it very unsettling and troubling that anyone would consider creating safety risks for our citizens and law enforcement officers. Our department works hard dialoging with those who are exercising their First Amendment right, those from both sides of the issue, to make sure we are doing everything we can to ensure they can demonstrate safely," he said.

A Washington Watchdog group has some real concerns as well:

The Public Campaign Action fund alleges that this represents an effort to coordinate spending with an independent entity, which may be illegal under Wisconsin law. The group also alleges that such a call may not be received on or made from state property.

It appears to me that Governor Walker may have quite a lot on his plate.  Perhaps trying to bust the unions was not quite as good of an idea as his corporate overlords told him it was. Ya think?

Oh this is just TOO good! Sarah Palin's "Real American Stories" is forced to drop LL Cool J interview portion after he points out Fox deception.

The clip of LL Cool J intended for the show was a minute and eight seconds long. After hearing of his dissatisfaction, Fox programmers pulled the moment from the show.

"‘Real American Stories' features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith's interview fit that criteria," FNC head of programming Bill Shine said in a statement.

"However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career."

Did you get that little dig at LL about his "fledgling movie career"? It sounds like somebody is feeling a little pissy that they were called out on their lies.  The people at Fox just hate that!

Here is the full Ludacris "Politics (Obama is here)" video.

I have to say that if you watch the whole video it kind of grows on you.

I even agree with a lot of it.

But it is bad, bad, bad, though kind of catchy! And we cannot allow this kind of thing to make Obama appear to be connected to a bunch of rapping thugs, or others who know how to throw down a rhyme! Remember this campaign represents change and hope, not guns and dope! (Oh crap did I just rhyme?)

"Get out and vote or the end will be near

The world is ready for change because Obama is here!

'cause Obama is here

The world is ready for change because Obama is here!"

Damn, now I will never get this song out of my head.

Vote for Obama bitchez!

Rapper Ludicris comes out with a pro-Obama song that may actually do more harm then good.

I admire the passion that the African American community feels toward Barack, and I am right there with them, but they may need to keep in mind that there are some kinds of support that may simply scare the hell out of the average white voter.

Remember that Obama has gone way out of his way to make himself appear to be a non-threatening biracial man. From his simple black suits to his careful speechcraft, Obama has defined himself as a positive candidate who can give us hope and open the door of possibilities to ALL people. Whether you are African American, Caucasian, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, or some mixture of each, Obama represents you.

In other words Barack is less 5o Cent and more the Fresh Prince, he is accessible to everybody, not just those who happen to look like him.

Now personally I kind of like the song, and I am not usually a huge fan of rap, but you just know this is going to turn up on FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, and a hundred other Right Wing media outlets who are going to use it to illustrate that Obama wants to give America over to the African American community and that this is the end of the white dominance in this country. The black community will love it but the white community will freak the hell out.

So Ludicris, buddy, could you perhaps hold off any more supportive rap songs until AFTER Obama is President? I even promise to buy your album when it comes out. Because I am sorry to say, you are just not helping here.

Obama's camp has already condemned it.
