The good news is that they caught one of the guys behind that Nigerian Prince email scam. The better news is that he is not Nigerian, not a prince, and lives in Louisiana.

Courtesy of The Times-Picayune:

Slidell police say they have arrested a "Nigerian prince'' who is accused of helping scam people out of thousands of dollars.

Michael Neu, 67, has been arrested and charged with 269 counts of wire fraud and money laundering following an 18-month-long investigation by the Slidell Police Department's Financial Crimes Division. Police said Thursday (Dec. 28) that Neu, of Slidell, is suspected of being the "middle man'' in hundreds of scams to separate people from their money.

In the scam, an email arrives from someone claiming to be or represent a Nigerian prince who says the recipient is the beneficiary of a large sum of money - often millions of dollars -- but must first send personal financial information such a bank account number to speed the process.

People do fall for the scam, police say.

"Most people laugh at the thought of falling for such a fraud, but law enforcement officials report annual losses of millions of dollars to these schemes," Slidell police said in a news release.

I have different criteria for if I think you are worthy to interact with.

If you gave money to Sarah Palin, at any time, then I cannot have a conversation with you.

If you voted for Donald Trump you need to get off of my property NOW.

If you fell for this Nigerian Prince email scam, you literally may be too stupid to live on your own without some kind of adult supervision.

I mean seriously, how dumb does somebody have to be to fall for such a transparent  attempt to steal your money?

California man arrested for planning a terrorist attack on Christmas Day.

Courtesy of NBC News:

A California man was charged Friday with plotting to aid ISIS by traveling to Syria or staging an attack in San Francisco on Christmas Day, though court documents suggest he later got cold feet.

Everitt Aaron Jameson, 26, of Modesto was arrested earlier in the day and charged with providing support to a terrorist organization. Law enforcement officials say the FBI began investigating him in September, after a tipster reported that Jameson was making pro-jihadi comments in a Facebook posting.

Court documents said when undercover FBI informants and employees began communicating with him in October, he praised ISIS and the deadly Oct. 31 truck attack on a New York City bicycle path.

Investigators said he told them he had the money it would take to go to Syria to join ISIS but later he began to talk about carrying out some kind of attack in the U.S., using skills he learned in the Marine Corps.

The FBI said he eventually began talking about attacking Pier 39 in San Francisco, a popular tourist attraction, because he knew it to be a crowded area. Court documents said he told the undercover operatives that he had no escape plan because he was ready to die.

Does not appear that Trump's Muslim ban would have done a damn thing to keep Americans safe from an attack like this.

Not only is this dude white, but he received his training from America's military.

Certainly does not fit the profile that we are told identifies a terrorist these days.

Well good thing the FBI is still doing its job, despite constant criticism from the new commander-in-chief.

Track Palin was arrested for beating his father, Todd Palin! Update!

Track, the beater, is on the far right, and Todd, the beatee is 4th from the right. One person separated from Track's last victim.
Courtesy of ADN:

Wasilla police came to the Palin home after Sarah Palin called them just after 8:30 p.m. to say her son was "freaking out and was on some type of medication," according to a sworn affidavit filed in court by Wasilla officer Adam LaPointe.

Track Palin came to the house to confront his father over a truck he wanted to pick up, according to the affidavit. Todd Palin told his son not to come because he'd been drinking and taking pain medication.

"Track told him he was (going to) come anyway to beat his ass," LaPointe wrote.

Todd Palin told the officer he got his pistol to "protect his family" and met his son with the gun when he came to the door, according to the affidavit.

Track Palin broke a window and came through it, and put his father on the ground, the report states. He began hitting him on the head.

Todd Palin escaped and left the house. He suffered injuries to his face and head, the officer wrote. He was bleeding from several cuts on his head and had liquid coming from his ear.

Track Palin was arrested on charges of felony first-degree burglary and misdemeanor criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault.

Well I guess we now know what really happened during Todd's supposed "snowmachine accident" last year.

Did you see the part where Todd went to get a gun?

He was literally so afraid of his son that he was preparing to shoot him dead.

THAT is fucked up, even for the Palin family.

By the way leaking liquid from your ear is a pretty good sign of a ruptured eardrum or possible damage to Todd's brain.

I wonder how Sarah feels today about helping her boy avoid jail time, or any real counseling, after he attacked and beat his pregnant fiancee?

How did that work out for you Sarah?

Update: According to Court View the charge for destruction of property, which we now know to mean the Palin family window, has been dismissed.

The bail is set at $5,000.00 but it does not appear that anybody has paid it yet.

And the date for his preliminary hearing is December 27th, at 1:00 PM.

Gee I wonder if a bandaged up Todd will show up as the star witness?

Update 2: Here's more from ADN:

As police arrived, they saw two vehicles leaving the home: Todd Palin was in the first, and officers could see blood running down his face, LaPointe wrote.

Sarah Palin, in the second, was "visibly upset," he wrote. Officers learned Track Palin was alone in the house, and they could hear yelling coming from inside.

Police called to Track Palin to come out, and he came out the partly open front door, according to the affidavit.

"Track stood on the porch," LaPointe wrote. "Communication was attempted which failed due to Track yelling and calling myself and other officers peasants and telling us to lay our guns on the ground before approaching the residence."

Palin walked back in and the officers saw him moving around, the affidavit states. Then he came out an upstairs window onto the garage roof.

"He moved around in a strange manner and assumed a prone position just behind the roof line in what appeared to be an attempt to locate officers on the property," LaPointe wrote.

He went back inside, the officer wrote, but communication was re-established after 10 or 15 minutes of silence and Palin came back outside to talk.

Police put him handcuffs without incident and read him his Miranda rights in the back of a patrol car, according to LaPoint.

He told the police to lay their guns down?

What kind of entitled POS thinks he can tell the cops, who arrived to place HIM under arrest, what to do?

Well, a Palin POS of course.

Track Palin arrested!

Courtesy of KTUU:

Court records show the son of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been arraigned on three charges Sunday morning, all are domestic violence related. Track Palin, 28, faces a Class B Felony charge of first-degree burglary, one charge of assault in the fourth degree and one charge of criminal mischief in the fourth degree

According to CourtView, the charges were all committed on Saturday, Dec. 16. Palin was arraigned in the Palmer Courthouse at 10:00 a.m., Sunday morning.

Records indicate he previously faced domestic violence charges in 2016. At that time, Palin faced fourth-degree assault charges, a weapons charge and a charge of interfering with a domestic violence report. He was allegedly intoxicated. Former Gov. Sarah Palin spoke about those accusations against Track Palin, suggesting post-traumatic stress disorder may have been a factor from his service in the army.

Well now we know what got Palin so fired up about those old stories about her family yesterday.

So you want to hear something really funny?

Dennis Zaki and I were just joking around on Friday that Track was definitely going to end up back in jail anytime now.

And lo and behold.

Update: According to Court View Track is currently in custody.

Perhaps nobody is interested in bailing his drunken ass out this time.

Update 2: Court View also did not identify WHO Track assaulted, so right now we do not know if it was another hapless girlfriend or a family member.

Anybody seen Todd lately?

Three men arrested after one of them opens fire at group protesting speech by white supremacist. Update!

Courtesy of ABC Ten News:

A Texas man who fired a shot at a group of protesters after Thursday's Richard Spencer speech at the University of Florida and the two men who encouraged him to open fire have been charged with attempted homicide, Gainesville police said.

Tyler Tenbrink, 28, fired the shot, after he and two brothers in a silver Jeep shouted obscenities, threats and chants about Hitler at the protesters, who were at a bust stop on SW Archer Road, police said. Tenbrink has also been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to the arrest report, William Fears, 30, and Colton Fears, 28, both of Pasadena, Texas, shouted "I'm going to f****** kill you," "kill them" and "shoot them," before Tenbrink fired the shot, which missed and hit a nearby building.

Police said that as the Jeep sped off, one of the protesters was able to get the license plate and reported it to investigators, who relayed it to law enforcement in the area. An off-duty deputy with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office spotted the Jeep with the matching Texas tag around 9 p.m. on I-75 about 20 miles north of Gainesville.

Well good for that guy for having the presence of mind to get the license plate number after being forced to dodge bullets.

According to police, just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the men in the Jeep stopped to argue with the group of protesters on Southwest Archer Road and one of the passengers yelled "Hail Hitler" and other chants.

The protesters argued back and one of them hit the rear window of the Jeep with a baton, according to the arrest report.

The Jeep then pulled about 10 feet away, stopped again and Tenbrink got out and pulled a handgun on the protesters as the Fears brothers egged him on, police said.

At least two of the three have shown connections to extremist groups, according to Gainesville police.

Two of the men are being held on a million dollar bond, while the shooter is held on a 3 million dollar bond.

Hey, maybe Donald Trump will post their bond? After all he is the one who helped bring these cockroaches out into the light.

Just another reminder that racists, and apparently wannabe Nazis, are no longer bothering to hide in shame, and are instead taking to the streets to fight for their right to be complete assholes.

Just like their hero.

This is the country we live in now, whether we like it or not.

Update: Apparently this Colton Fear fellow was interviewed by CNN:

Colt Fears, a 28-year-old wearing a pin he described as "an S.S. thing," came to Gainesville from Houston to support Spencer. He said he agrees with about 75% of what Spencer says, but said he thinks Spencer sometimes "beats around the bush."

"He won't address that our entire Hollywood media is run by the Zionist media. He won't address that. There's certain things he won't talk about that people in our movement want him to talk about," Fears said.

Oh yeah, he seems like a sweetheart.

(Thanks to the constant reader who sent me that CNN link. Can't do this without you guys. )

Utah nurse arrested for following protocol and not allowing a police officer to take blood from an unconscious patient. Update!

(That is a very troubling video to watch.)

Courtesy of the Salt Lake Tribune:

A nurse says she was assaulted and illegally arrested by a Salt Lake City police detective for following a hospital policy that does not allow blood draws from unconscious patients.

Footage from University Hospital and officer body cameras shows Detective Jeff Payne and nurse Alex Wubbels in a standoff over whether the policeman should be allowed to get a blood sample from a patient who had been injured in a July 26 collision in northern Utah that left another driver dead.

Wubbels says blood cannot be taken from an unconscious patient unless the patient is under arrest, unless there is a warrant allowing the draw or unless the patient consents. The detective acknowledges in the footage that none of those requirements is in place, but he insists that he has the authority to obtain the draw, according to the footage.

At one point, Payne threatens to take Wubbels to jail if he doesn’t get the sample, and he accuses her of interfering with a criminal case.

“I either go away with blood in vials or body in tow,” Payne says.

After Wubbels consults with several hospital officials and repeats the policy, Payne tells her she is under arrest and grabs her, pulling her arms behind her back and handcuffing her. The footage shows the detective dragging Wubbels out of the hospital and putting her inside a patrol car as she screams, “Help! Help! Somebody help me! Stop! Stop! I did nothing wrong!”

This nurse is extremely professional in how she interacts with the police, and even has her supervisor backing her up on the phone, and still this asshole manhandles her and treats like a common criminal.

That is a man who became a cop, not to help people, but to use the uniform and the authority it represents to bully people into submission.

It should be noted that the nurse never said no to the officer and instead was simply relating to him the hospital restrictions on what she could do to comply with his request when he arrested her.

Heavy.com relates that the officer, Jeff Payne, has NOT been fired and remains on active duty, though there is an internal investigation.

There are also reports of other officers in the area harassing medical staff in hospitals and this seems like a fairly widespread problem in Utah.

No lawsuits pending as of yet, but I think the hospital and this nurse have a very strong case for one.

Personally I hope that the hospital gives this woman a commendation for doing her job in the face of such a terrifying situation, and perhaps a nice raise would not be out of the question as well.

Update: The two officers have been placed on leave.

White nationalist Christopher Cantwell is now in jail cell. Where he absolutely belongs.

Courtesy of the New York Times:

A white nationalist whose behavior at the violent gatherings this month in Charlottesville, Va., brought him notoriety after he appeared in a widely viewed documentary remained held without bond on Thursday, one day after the police said he had turned himself in to the authorities in Virginia.

The man, Christopher Cantwell, 36, was charged with two felony counts of illegal use of tear gas and one felony count of malicious bodily injury by means of a caustic substance, the Albemarle County prosecutor, Robert Tracci, said in a statement. A preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 12.

In a statement released late Wednesday, the university police said they had been notified that afternoon that Mr. Cantwell had turned himself in to the Lynchburg Police Department in Virginia. The brief statement did not say when Mr. Cantwell turned himself in.

He was being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Lynchburg, Va., pending transport to Charlottesville, the university police said.

According to the Chicago Tribune this Cantwell guy is being held without bond, but he has a reason for why he pepper sprayed that counter protester:

He insisted he was defending himself, saying he did it "because my only other option was knocking out his teeth." He said he looked forward to his day in court.

Boy he sure talks tough doesn't he?

Sadly for him we know the truth.

Oh yeah, he's going to do great in prison.

Kentucky Republican chairman exposes himself in department store bathroom.

Courtesy of Kentucky.com:

A Kentucky Republican Party county chairman has resigned after he was arrested in Tennessee on charges of indecent exposure and resisting arrest in a department store, the GOP and police said.

David Narramore, 54, of Whitesburg was arrested Saturday night in a Belk department store in Kingsport, Tenn., according to police there.

A store employee told officers that he was in a bathroom stall next to Narramore when Narramore began rubbing his foot against the employee’s. Narramore then exposed himself to the employee, according to police.

Narramore was escorted to an office, and when police officers arrived, he tried to “passively resist” arrest. After pulling away from and then moving toward officers, and then attempting to fight the officers, he was subdued with a stun gun, according to police.

Narramore, a dentist, was taken to the Kingsport city jail.

Okay so here's my question.

Should we not have some law protecting ourselves from the possibility of being sexually harassed or assaulted by these Republicans?

I mean can't they get their own bathrooms or something.

Look, I am all in favor of treating everybody equally, but think of the children.

Should we really risk exposing them to these GOP perverts?

All I'm saying is there  should be a law.

Thirteen year old films ICE while they arrest her father as he tries to take her to school.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez was dropping off his daughters at school in Los Angeles on Tuesday when he was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. His 13-year-old daughter, Fatima, sobbed as she recorded her father being handcuffed in front of her and her mother.

Avelica-Gonzalez, 48, who has been living in the United States for over 20 years, had just finished dropping off his 12-year-old daughter in the Highland Park neighborhood when he was detained. His 19-year-old daughter, Jocelyn, who was at work during the incident, told the LAist that a car had been following her father since the moment he left the house.

“My dad dropped off my first sister and then when he turned around, they turned on their light,” Jocelyn said. “My dad was really scared. He didn’t want to pull over, but he did. As soon as he did, one car went in front of his truck and one in back of his truck. They took him out and they arrested him.”

I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying this must have been for this young lady.

Yet this is the harsh reality undocumented immigrants are now forced to face.

This man, who has lived in this country for over twenty years, was doing nothing wrong and ICE used a DUI conviction nearly 10 years old and a two decade-old incident involving an incorrect registration sticker as a reason to arrest him in front of his daughter.

As it turned out Avelica-Gonzalez was granted a temporary stay but that does not mean he will not eventually be deported.

And remember this is now happening all over the country.

Welcome to Donald Trump's America.

CBS reports on those arrests in Russia for treason possibly linked to the CIA investigation into the hacking of our election.

Courtesy of CBS News:

Russian news agencies are reporting that former members of the domestic security agency and a cybersecurity expert have been formally charged with treason.

Reports emerged last week that three officials of the Federal Security Service (FSB) and an executive for cybersecurity company Kaspersky Labs had been arrested for treason. Government officials haven’t commented on the case.

We reported on this last Friday and reached the conclusion that these charges of treason were directly linked to the investigation launched by our intelligence agencies into the Russian hacking of the DNC and other agencies and individuals.

A conclusion, by the way, essentially confirmed by Russian lawyer Ivan Pavlov:

Pavlov has told The Associated Press that he represents the fourth, unnamed arrestee.

“Everyone involved in the case is charged with treason, and in fact, this is the only article, no other charges,” Pavlov is quoted as saying to Tass. Like Interfax, Tass is controlled by the Russian government.

According to Pavlov, the criminal case is being investigated by the FSB’s own Department of Investigation.

Investigators accuse the defendants of transferring Russian state secrets to U.S. intelligence services, according to Tass. Unlike previous reports in Russian media, the accounts citing Pavlov that were published Wednesday do not specify which U.S. agencies the suspects are accused of colluding with.

“The name of CIA does not appear in the case, only the country (is mentioned),” Tass quotes Pavlov as saying. “Yes, we are in fact talking about America, but not about the CIA.”

Of course they aren't, but then who exactly would these security experts be talking to in America?

And as I mentioned in my previous post it certainly does not appear that these individuals are being punished for the hack itself, but rather for helping America investigate that hack.

While we are on the topic let's not forget that these folks were "arrested" but at least one individual who spoke out of turn is no longer with us.

Courtesy of the Telegraph:

An ex-KGB chief suspected of helping the former MI6 spy Christopher Steele to compile his dossier on Donald Trump may have been murdered by the Kremlin and his death covered up. it has been claimed.

Oleg Erovinkin, a former general in the KGB and its successor the FSB, was found dead in the back of his car in Moscow on Boxing Day in mysterious circumstances.

Erovinkin was a key aide to Igor Sechin, a former deputy prime minister and now head of Rosneft, the state-owned oil company, who is repeatedly named in the dossier.

Remember both the Trump administration and the Kremlin have reason to undermine any investigation into the hacking, and to obfuscate any evidence that might emerge from the investigation.

We can see how the Kremlin is working to sabotage the investigation, by killing or kidnapping those that might be questioned, now watch for Trump to make an attempt to put a stop to it or, failing that, distract from its findings.

Anti-gay minister busted over child pornography. Your feel good story of the day.

Courtesy of United Humanists:

The 40-year-old pastor regularly preached that marriage is between a man and a woman and that all homosexual activity is a sin.

He was arrested after police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which claimed that a social media account in Sherwood was storing pages and pages of child pornography.

In March, Reynolds informed elders at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship that he was under investigation for child porn possession.

When they asked if he had engaged in viewing the material, Reynolds told them he had “not knowingly done so.”

He did not "knowingly do so?"

Well for somebody who did not knowingly do something the cops sure found a hell of a lot of child porn on his computer.

In fact he is facing 70 counts distributing, possessing, or viewing child pornography.

Now somebody please explain to me again why we are supposed to be afraid of transgender folks sharing our public bathrooms with young children, but have no problem with 40 year old pastors doing so.

John McCain fundraiser arrested on suspicion of cooking meth. Seriously, who's surprised?

Courtesy of AZ Central:

A woman listed as the RSVP contact for U.S. Sen. John McCain's re-election fundraisers was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of drug charges after Maricopa County sheriff's deputies found an active meth lab and other illicit drugs while conducting a search warrant at her north-central Phoenix home, officials said.

The Sheriff's Office identified one of two people arrested in the drug bust as 34-year-old Emily Pitha, a former member of the staff of retired U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., who most recently worked on GOP campaign fundraising.

McCain's campaign manager, Ryan O'Daniel, issued this response Tuesday night:

"We commend the hard work and dedication of our law enforcement officers in their fight to keep our community safe from illegal drugs and associated criminal activity. The campaign immediately terminated any relationship with Ms. Pitha upon learning of her alleged involvement in the operation.”

A Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman said authorities were first alerted to possible drug activity at Pitha's Phoenix home by a parcel in transit from the Netherlands containing over 250 grams of MDMA – raw ecstasy. Detective Doug Matteson, the MCSO spokesman, said Pitha's boyfriend, 36-year-old Christopher Hustrulid, signed for the packaged when it arrived at their doorstep Tuesday afternoon.

You know I guess I kind of assumed that being a meth head was a prerequisite to working for John McCain.

After all we remember Sarah Palin right?

This arrest is of course not exactly good news for McCain who is facing perhaps his toughest bid for reelection ever.

Gee wouldn't it be awesome to have the first female President AND the first female Senator from Arizona elected in the same year? Why yes it would.

Feds arrest co-chair of Donald Trump's veteran coalition for participation in Bundy standoff.

Courtesy of OPB:

Federal authorities on Thursday arrested a New Hampshire man for his role in a standoff by Nevada ranchers opposed to federal control of public lands.

Gerald DeLemus, of Rochester, was named in an indictment in Nevada as a “mid-level leader” and organizer of a conspiracy to recruit, organize, train and provide support to armed men and other followers of rancher Cliven Bundy.

DeLemus, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and tea party activist, last year signed on as a member of presidential candidate Donald Trump’s New Hampshire veterans coalition. A July news release posted on Trump’s website listed DeLemus as a co-chair.

What? You mean people associated with the Donald Trump campaign are in trouble with the law?

Who could have predicted such a thing?

DeLemus was not the only person caught in the FBI's net. They also indicted and arrested thirteen others

A superseding criminal indictment was returned by the grand jury on Wednesday, March 2, and now charges a total of 19 defendants. The 14 new defendants are Melvin D. Bundy, 41, of Round Mountain, Nev., David H. Bundy, 39, of Delta, Utah, Brian D. Cavalier, 44, of Bunkerville, Nev., Blaine Cooper, 36, of Humboldt, Ariz., Gerald A. DeLemus, 61, of Rochester, N.H., Eric J. Parker, 32, of Hailey, Idaho, O. Scott Drexler, 44, of Challis, Idaho, Richard R. Lovelien, 52, of Westville, Okla., Steven A. Stewart, 36, of Hailey, Idaho, Todd C. Engel, 48, of Boundary County, Idaho, Gregory P. Burleson, 52, of Phoenix, Ariz., Joseph D. O’Shaughnessy, 43, of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Micah L. McGuire, 31, and Jason D. Woods, 30, both of Chandler, Ariz.

Twelve defendants were arrested earlier today. Two defendants, Brian D. Cavalier and Blaine Cooper, were already in federal custody in the District of Oregon.

“These indictments and subsequent arrests send an irrefutable message to the American people that our determination remains steadfast to protect them and pursue individuals who participate in violent acts of this nature,” said Special Agent in Charge Bucheit.

Wow, look at all the Bundy's. I wonder if there are any Bundy family members NOT in jail?

Gee what kind of country are we becoming when a man cannot gather a small army of heavily armed idiots to engage the federal government in a standoff?

You know besides a country of laws of course?

Happy Valentine's Day courtesy of the currently incarcerated Oregon standoff protesters.

And of course let's not forget the guy who started the whole thing.

Yep, nothing says I love you quite as much as getting yourself arrested while under the mistaken impression that you are protecting the rights of people who do not even know that you exist.

Gee, I wonder if these folks have met any new valentines since they entered the penal system?

The not yet arrested Oregon protesters are upset that the FBI is blocking their cell phones and internet access.

LaVoy Finicum, martyr or moron?
Courtesy of OPB:

OPB spoke with the remaining occupiers inside the refuge Sunday by cellphone. They say federal authorities have locked down their ability to make or receive calls.

David Fry, one of the four remaining militants, said the FBI made it so the occupiers can’t make outgoing calls on their cellphones. Fry said he can receive incoming calls, but that the other three in the refuge appear unable to receive calls on their cellphones. The militants also said they’ve lost access to the internet.

Wait, no phone calls and no access to internet porn?

The feds are playing hardball now.

On the other hand none of these yahoos have been arrested or shot dead by the side of the road, so you know there's that.

Speaking of being shot by the side of the road, as expected the death of  LaVoy Finicum at the hands of law enforcement encouraged some sympathizers to form something called a "rolling protest" on Saturday.

It also inspired a truly horrible tribute song called, I kid you not, the Ballad of LaVoy Finicum (Cowboy's Stand for Freedom).

Let me say once again that if this had been a group of brown skinned Muslims taking over this building that the bodies would already be piled up to the sky and there would be no tribute songs or rolling protests to mark their passing.

Woman uses meth and then rides a motorized cart through Wal-Mart eating chicken and drinking wine. Do I even have to tell you it happened in Florida?

Courtesy of WFLA:

A woman ate sushi, cinnamon rolls and the majority of a rotisserie chicken, drinking wine while driving a motorized shopping cart at a Walmart, according to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. She was arrested for shoplifting and other charges.

It happened at the Lecanto Walmart Tuesday. Citrus deputies responded after the store loss prevention employee contacted them about an alleged shoplifter he had in custody. The employee told deputies that he had noticed the woman acting suspiciously driving the motorized shopping card.

He could see a half-empty bottle of wine in her cart. He also said he watched her grab a box of sushi from the shelf, eat a piece and put the box back. She did the same with cinnamon rolls and mini muffins. He saw her eat the majority of a rotisserie chicken while on the shopping floor.

Overall the woman, aged 20, manged to consume $32.36 worth of food and wine.

Now see THIS is why I stopped shopping at Wal-Mart.

At first I was not sure it was Florida. After all nobody even got shot.

Fox News terrorism expert has been arrested by the Feds and charged with fraud. Isn't that a prerequisite for Fox News?

Courtesy of CNN:

Wayne Simmons, a recurring guest on Fox News who claimed to have 27 years of experience with the CIA, was arrested Thursday after being indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that he lied about his service.

Simmons is accused of falsely claiming that he worked as an "outside paramilitary special operations officer" for the CIA from 1973 to 2000. On Fox, this was often shortened to "former CIA operative."

He was also indicted for using that false claim to gain government security clearances and an assignment as a defense contractor, where he advised senior military personnel overseas.

Simmons made his initial appearance in court on Thursday afternoon. If convicted, he could face up to 35 years in prison on charges of major fraud against the United States, wire fraud, and making false statements to the government.

Simmons is a familiar face to Fox News viewers. After the arrest was announced on Thursday, Fox News spokesperson Irena Briganti told CNN that he "was never a contributor for Fox News," and that he appeared on the network only as a non-paid guest. She therefore declined to comment further.

Uh...well as it turns out Simmons has a website on which he claims that  "has been a Terrorism Analyst for the Fox News Channel since 2002."

Can you say "Awkward?"

But let's be fair. After all just about everybody on Fox News is fake.

There are fake terrorism analysts.

Fake psychiatrists.

Fake liberals.

Fake black people.

And of course tons of fake journalists.
So if you are surprised by this then you simply have no been paying attention.

Newly released dashcam video suggests that Sandra Bland should never have been arrested. Update!

Courtesy of CNN:

The family of Sandra Bland, whose death in a Texas jail has boiled over after newly released video showed what happened at a routine traffic stop, expressed anger Wednesday at what they said was further proof that Bland was unnecessarily arrested.

Bland, who authorities say hanged herself in her jail cell, was not clinically diagnosed with depression or on any medication and was "ecstatic" at the prospect of starting a new job at her alma mater in Texas, family attorney Cannon Lambert said at a press conference Wednesday.

"Why is it that a 28 year old woman who had received two job offers take her own life? Why would she call her mom in excitement about those jobs and take her own life?" Lambert asked.

"That just does not jive with someone who would take their own life," he added.

Sharon Cooper, Bland's sister and a spokeswoman for her family, the family was "infuriated" by the actions of the officer who arrested Bland, as seen on the trooper's dash-cam video.

I have kind of kept my powder dry on this story, waiting for this video along with more evidence to emerge.

Now that it has I feel confident in saying that none of this makes any sense.

That woman may have been labeled disrespectful in her response to the police officer, but he was downright abusive. And her attitude in fighting back, and exclamation of wanting to have her day in court, certainly does not suggest the mindset of a person who would take their own life only days later.

This thing stinks to high heaven and I am quite glad that the inquiry into what happened is being treated like a murder investigation.

Marine formerly jailed in Mexico, who became a cause celebre among conservatives, has been arrested again in Georgia.

Courtesy of CNN:

Andrew Paul Tahmooressi, the Marine reservist who made international headlines during his seven-month imprisonment in Mexico, was arrested in Georgia. Tahmooressi was arrested in Twin City, Georgia, on Wednesday for a traffic violation, carrying an open container and for refusing to take a DUI test, his spokesman said.

"He will be arraigned in the morning," spokesman Jonathan Franks said late Wednesday night.

Tahmooressi made news around the world after his arrest on March 31, 2014, at a Tijuana, Mexico, checkpoint.

Mexican customs agents found three firearms in his truck, including a .45-caliber pistol, a pump shotgun and an AR-15 rifle. The country's strict federal gun laws prohibit anyone from illegally bringing weapons into the country.

Tahmooressi maintained that he took a wrong turn on the California side of the border into Tijuana and accidentally crossed the border.

As I am sure almost everybody here remembers this Tahmooressi guy received tons of support from conservatives who claimed that he was being held in Mexico on trumped up charges, and demanded that President Obama secure his release.

Of course a lot of us, myself included, remained unconvinced that this guy was quite the victim that the Right Wing was portraying him to be. (More on that here courtesy of Mexico Trucker.)

I remember how thrilled the Righties (Including our own Sarah Palin) were when this guy finally got released, almost as if he were a prisoner of ISIS rather than some dumbass who crossed the Mexican border with a car full of firearms.

So now this conservative "hero" has been arrested once again, this time in America, and the charge is having an open container of alcohol and for refusing to take a DUI test.

Of course you know the only reason that somebody usually resists taking a DUI test is becasue they know full well they will fail it.

Gee I wonder how long it will be before Sarah Palin and the conservatives start demanding his release from the Georgia jail, and start bitching that President Obama is doing nothing for this brave man who fought for all of our freedoms?
