Has it been ten years already?

And thus began one of the oddest occurrences in America political history.

At first I, along with my fellow Alaskans, celebrated the first female governor giving birth to a baby while in office, which was also obviously a first.

But then.....well we all know what happened then.

I think my only real regret after all of these years is that I could never figure out exactly why, how, or from where.

Lots of theories, some of them frankly a little insane.

But no definitive answers.

All we know for sure is that whatever Palin thought she was going to achieve by making this decision, it is clearly not what ended up happening.

Instead of living in the White House with full time nannies seeing to little Trig's needs, she is stuck back in Wasilla hawking weight loss products on the internet with her baby factory of a daughter.

Lost in the shuffle the past month or two is this former A+ list celebrity . 

All of you know her name so I guess she still has A+ list name recognition. Last year it looked like she would continue her 15 minutes and also find a way to keep on bringing in money to her secret slush funds of cash. Now? Not so much? She got into a private war with the man who was her main backer. She lost a couple of her high paying gigs in front of cameras. She also burned a lot of bridges when she chose the side of the man who has now banished her. Money is drying up quickly. She has massive bills on the home front because she pays the bills for countless family members. At least one of those family members is in trouble legally and PR wise and is always needing people paid off for things he has done. There has been quiet talk about marrying off one of her children to a very wealthy man who could restore the fortunes of this now crumbling empire.

I think besides that very last portion we already knew all of this to be true. 

So who do we think she is trying to marry off, Willow of Piper?

As promised here is an update on the death of Juneau Mayor Greg Fisk. Update!

The newly elected mayor of Alaska's capital city had suffered injuries when he was found dead, but police are awaiting autopsy results to announce a possible cause of death, officials said Tuesday. 

Juneau Police Department spokeswoman Erann Kalwara said Tuesday the cause of death remains unknown. 

"It's not clear what the cause of those injuries are," she said. She could not comment on the nature of the injuries, she said. 

Fisk lived alone. There was no sign of forced entry into Fisk's home above Juneau's downtown. 

"We haven't ruled anything out yet," she said. Police are hoping the state medical examiner in Anchorage will complete the autopsy in a couple of days, she said. 

Investigators on Monday didn't speculate on a possible cause of Fisk's death but did not immediately rule out foul play.

There are still plenty of rumors swirling around.

And the fact that there was no forced entry, injuries present, and the fact that the police are not ruling out foul play is doing nothing to change that.

According to ABC the police have also ruled out a gunshot, drugs, or suicide as the cause of death.

Update: Autopsy reveals that Fisk died of natural causes. 

Well there at least is one conspiracy theory that can be put to rest.

Anybody want to guess?

So I figured I would follow the link and see where it led.

It led here:  

Formal notification of receipt to Vote Sarah Palin USA President 2016 a sum of five million UK pound sterling (at exchange rate of equivalent in USA dollars of November 5 2012). The sum of five million UK pound sterling is equivalent value of asset held (which has a commercial market value of ?5 million). No expenditure was incurred in November 6 2012 USA presidential election campaign. This is because Sarah Palin was not an official USA presidential candidate on November 6 2012. This is the only filing that i have to disclose to FEC relating to 2012 campaign activity relating to USA presidential election 2012.

I quite literally have NO idea what this is. I checked and they do not seem to have any presence whatsoever on the internet.

Anybody have any ideas?

By the way 5 million UK pounds sterling works out to approximately $1,501,700.00 American.(Oops, should not have relied on a Google search, it turns out to be more along of the lines of $7,508,500.00)

I have so many questions.

Update: It looks like some small number of those questions have been answered. Well almost at least.

This is the profile of the person,zaccheus gilpin, identified as the treasurer of VOTE SARAH PALIN US PRESIDENT 2016.

And this was found in a Wall Street Journal article titled Brussels' Wacky Lobbyists:

Then, there’s Zaccheus Gilpin, who is based in the UK and whose registration suggests that he has pledged ₤5 million to the Conservative Party, “payable soon.” We have been unable to track Mr. Gilpin down, although a Google profile of someone with the same name suggests he’s a male model in his early 40s looking for worldwide assignments, who also claims to be an excellent kisser.

So my question is who is this person trying to mess with? The media, us. or Sarah Palin?

P.S. Thanks for all the digging you guys did on this story. I literally had just a few minutes to post it before having to leave for an appointment and did not have enough to time to do any thorough investigating myself. But you guys are the best so I knew you would get to the bottom of it.

By the way despite what the Palin-bots will say about people on the McCain staff NEVER seeing the side of Palin depicted in the movie, I have it on good authority that that is not true.

However to protect their own futures in politics, or due to some lingering loyalty to John McCain they remain off the record, though many of them DID reinforce what Schmidt and Wallace shared with the authors of the book Game Change with the screenwriter and director of the HBO movie.

It is worth noting that this movie brought in HUGE numbers over the weekend.

The HBO movie “Game Change” drew 2.1 million viewers Saturday night at 9 PM, making it the most watched HBO original movie in eight years. That does not include replays, which boosted the viewership even higher. Over the course of the entire weekend “Game Change was viewed by 3.6 million viewers.

Not too bad for, to use the Palin-bots desired label for the film, an "historical fiction."

Let me also share that my friend Geoffrey Dunn let me know that the movie has also caused his book "The Lies of Sarah Palin" to see a resurgence in sales as well, and as of this posting is among the top twenty of Amazon's Political Leader Biographies. 

Thank you Sarah for helping to garner so much attention for the movie, and by reflection so much positive attention for Geoffrey's book. Couldn't have done it without you!

P.S. Let me also take a moment to provide a link to a presentation that Nicolle Wallace gave on March 30, 2011 at Rutgers University, in which she does INDEED state that she was told "the daughter is seven and a half months pregnant" which of course later was changed to five months pregnant. (Go to about the 10:25 mark on the video for the statement.)

I would very much like to see somebody (Rachel?) sit down and really ask Nicole Wallace some very pointed questions about Bristol's pregnancy.

Such as did the fact that Bristol's due date changed by two and a half months send up any red flags?

What was going on under that dress during the convention?

And did she ever see Bristol not bundled up where her belly looked odd, or seemed to have changed shapes? (I will avoid any questions about breast size, though to be honest that confuses me as well.)

I know that is very unlikely to happen, but you have to admit it would be a riveting interview. And like I said before I think the most revealing part of the Sarah Palin story revolves around her relationship with her eldest daughter.

Which by the way is why you STILL see occasional attacks against Mercede in the comments section even if the post has NOTHING to do with her.

Is Rebecca "RAM" Mansour getting married? Update: No!

And before you start, NO I don't think this is the person RAM is marrying.

I had a visitor e-mail me this link of recent marriage licenses issued in Michigan.

Look whose name is on the list:

Rebecca Mansour of Lansing and Laurence M. Oversmith Jr. of Jackson

Yeah I know!  I was pretty flabbergasted too!

I KNEW she got heaved under the Palin bus pretty hard, but I had no idea it would turn her straight.

Unless of course she was straight all along. (I have always been a little fuzzy about that.)

Now currently THIS is the only evidence we have about these potential nuptials, so we certainly cannot be sure that this is THE famous Rebecca Mansour that was Sarah Palin's number one fan and most vicious protector.

However she DID grow up and attend school in Michigan:

An article in the March 17 Section A about Rebecca Mansour, an aide to Sarah Palin, said she grew up in Madison Heights, Mich. She grew up in Royal Oak, Mich., but attended high school in Madison Heights.

It is not much to go on, but perhaps as the days pass we will dig up some more information that will confirm my suspicions.  Or perhaps not, You never can tell.

BTW, I am going to ask that we demonstrate a little restraint and NOT simply slam RAM on her appearance.  I know, it will take every ounce of control that some of you have, but I just think this thread will devolve into a really ugly example of internet abuse if I allow it.

Having said that, I think that her sycophantic allegiance to the Grizzled Mama, her Twitter attacks on Bristol, and her penchant for spreading lies and misinformation are TOTALLY fair game.

Update:  Ops it looks like the Rebecca Mansour getting married is NOT the Rebecca Mansour who was once Sarah Palin's number one fan, before she met the undercarriage of Palin's giant bus to future anonymity.

Well that is too bad, I think it would be great if RAM had something positive going on in her life.

Perhaps she could find something else to drain the Palin poison from her soul.  I don't know, perhaps a couple of interviews, or a book deal, or maybe even having a sit down with a fellow blogger to share some stories about the trials and tribulation of writing about this nasty bitch poor misunderstood political superstar?

Nobody has heard from Sarah Palin's ghostwriter/stalker Rebecca Mansour since May 20, 2011. That can't be good.

No hide nor hair seen of RAM since this tweet over a month ago. Which was four days before THIS story broke.

If anybody has seen this person, and one would think she would be hard to miss, please contact this blog.  Or the authorities, if that seems more appropriate.

Frigid Alaska days, unexpected guests, and interesting gossip about Sarah Palin.

Go ahead and blink a couple of times and wipe away the sleep dust, just so you can be sure that you are indeed seeing what your eyes tell you they are seeing.  Yes that is Arizona Governor Jan Brewer at the start of the Iditarod in Anchorage, with none other than a vaguely bearded Todd Palin.

How odd is that? Well I find it very odd, and more than just a little surprising.

I guess it did not come as much of a surprise to  Brewer's Twitter followers however, since she has been tweeting updates about her trip for the last two days.

Now if THAT was not weird enough (And take it from me that is certainly weird enough!), I just heard some very interesting information today from somebody in the know, who says that the Grizzled Mama herself has been working with a local guide to learn how to handle a rifle with more competence, and that she also has a film crew with her shooting an episode for "the show" up by the Denali highway. 

That is all I know right now, but apparently it was assumed that I would know what was meant by "the show."  However, to be honest, I really have no freaking idea.

The last I heard "Sarah Palin's Alaska"  had NOT been renewed for a second season.

Which leads me to wonder if in fact it WAS renewed for another season but is being kept on "the down low" for some reason, or if Palin is filming some completely NEW version of her reality show, or if this is being filmed for something completely different.

I also have to wonder how Governor Jan Brewer fits into this, or whether she has anything to do with it at all.

All I can do is report what I know so far and hopefully get the chance to flesh it out as more information becomes available.  In the meantime if any of YOU hear anything please leave a comment or send an e-mail and let me know.
