A certain form of a protein called neuropsin, which plays a role in learning and memory, is expressed only in the central nervous system of humans, concludes a Chinese study that compared the DNA of humans to several species of monkeys and apes.
The researchers said that a mutation specific to humans triggers a change in the splicing pattern of the neuropsin gene, creating a new splicing site and a longer protein. When the scientists introduced this mutation into chimpanzees, they started to produce type II neuropsin.
"Get your damn dirty hands off of those chimpanzees brains!"
Actually maybe we should just go ahead and make a bunch of intelligent apes and give them the planet. I mean can they really fuck things up any more then we have?
If the conservatives get all worked up over man on man love, just wait until they get a load of human/chimp marriages. Personally I can hardly wait, at least I won't be the hairiest one in that relationship.
