Liberty University student stopped from blowing up Falwell protestors with bombs.

Even in death, the Rev. Jerry Falwell rouses the most volatile of emotions.

A small group of protesters gathered near the funeral services to criticize the man who mobilized Christian evangelicals and made them a major force in American politics -- often by playing on social prejudices.

And Campbell County authorities arrested a Liberty University student for having several homemade bombs in his car.

The student, 19-year-old Mark D. Uhl of Amissville, Va., reportedly told authorities that he was making the bombs to stop protesters from disrupting the funeral service. The devices were made of a combination of gasoline and detergent, a law enforcement official told ABC News' Pierre Thomas. They were "slow burn," according to the official, and would not have been very destructive.

So perhaps we can get an idea of the type of education students receive at Liberty University by scrutinizing this one student.

  • He certainly did not learn any debating skills because he tried to problem solve using violence.
  • He obviously did not learn morality because he thinks it is okay to kill those that he does not agree with.
  • He did not study psychology or else he might have realized that what he was doing was nuts.
  • And finally he did not learn much about chemistry because his mixture would not have been effective.

Unfortunately for our country, and education in general, this herpes sore of a university will continue to churn out small minded, hate filled, Christian Nazis for at least a dozen years to come. That is definitely a bad thing.

  1. I believe I read that Liberty University has churned out 150 of the officials in the Bush administration.

  2. Those are from Regent University, Pat Robertson's brain washing academy.

I am sure they are just as well educated as the simpletons coming from Liberty. This probably exlains much of why our country is so screwed up right now.
