Even with Pakistan in a full blown national crisis, the march toward war with Iran continues.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's announcement Wednesday that Iran had 3,000 working centrifuges raised fears in Washington that Israel would respond to the statement with a preemptive military strike, the Times reported Thursday.

The British paper quoted military sources in the US capital as saying that the figure presented by Ahmadinejad could be the "tipping point" that touches off an IAF strike. Washington was reluctant to go forward with a strike against Iran, but Israel was a "different matter," the officials said.

Even before the Iranian president's announcement US defense officials told the Times that "Israel could do something when they get to around 3,000 working centrifuges. The Pentagon is minded to wait a little longer."

That whole "raised fears in Washington that Israel would respond to the statement with a preemptive military strike", statement is pure horseshit! The Bush administration wants this conflict in Iran so much they can taste it! They are simply manipulating Israel into accepting the blame for starting it.

Do you really think if Israel did not have a concrete promise of support from the United States they would be threatening Iran? Hell no!

If they attack Iran, they may find themselves facing Iran, and Syria, as well as potentially Russia and China. Not to mention what this would inspire the Pakistanis to do. Israel would quickly be overwhelmed, without a promise that America would have their back. Even with our support Israel is totally screwed.

No this country is using Israel to start another "proxy war" in the Middle East that may take decades to fight, and will ultimately result in the death of millions and an uneasy truce between the countries that are still left standing.

I hate admit my own naivete, but I actually began to feel that with the unrest in Pakistan, the United States would have to abandon its desire to start some shit in Iran. Just goes to show that anybody can allow their guard to drop occasionally, even somebody as distrustful and paranoid about this government as I am.

  1. I think that is why Bush has said so little- he is pissed that his warmongering wet dreams have been yet interrupted again...scary...I was just watching BBC news and they said that Bhutto has been arrested, but I can find NO verification of it, and also I NO MEDIA is covering the Strikes/marches and protests that are suposed to be going on right now.....

Musharref has been arrested the lawmen and charging them as terrorists...and that could easily happen here...

BTW the torture AG was just confirmed- oh goody...

you are not paranoid...you are paying attention...you are a true patriot...namaste.
