The NIE report makes it impossible for the United States to attack Iran, so they bring in the B team. Israel.

Israel has warned Iran to either co-operate with the West over its uranium enrichment program or face military action.

Ron Prosor, Israel's newly appointed ambassador to Britain and one of his country's leading experts on Iran's nuclear program, said that Tehran could enrich enough uranium to make an atomic bomb by 2009.

"At the current rate of progress, Iran will reach the technical threshold for producing fissile material by 2009," he said.

"This is a global threat and it requires a global response.

"It should be made clear that if Iran does not co-operate, then military confrontation is inevitable. It is either co-operation or confrontation."

Will this nightmare never end?

I have long felt that the Bush administration had planned to use Israel to start a confrontation with Iran, so that they can ride to the rescue and get the war they want without taking the blame.

But after hearing this most recent NIE report I had come to believe, perhaps naively, that the steady march toward war with Iran was no longer possible.

But we continue to underestimate just how determined this administration is to start the next world war. They will not let anything stop their evil plans.

I just wish that somebody could talk some sense into the Israeli leadership. Because no matter what the outcome of this next major battle happens to be, it is a given that Israel will be either destroyed or damaged beyond recognition.

Where is Bill Clinton on this issue? He might actually be able to talk some sense into these gentlemen. Oh I am sorry, he too busy trying to make sure his wife is in place to inherit this nightmare. And the Republicans would like nothing more then to blame a failure in Iran to a Clinton administration.
