Sen. Barack Obama, campaigning to be the first black president in American history, won the Iowa caucuses Thursday night, barely turning back rivals Hillary Clinton and John Edwards in the beginning test of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.As I write this Obama is ahead with a little over 36%, Edwards has 30%, as does Hillary.
I keep hearing Chris "Tweety" Matthews talking about this being about America choosing a Black man over a woman.
He could not be more wrong!
This has NOTHING to do with race or gender!
This is all about change. And who is most likely to lead this country toward a fresh start.
Iowans have decided that Obama is the best choice to usher in that change.
Now in the general election we may finally see race rear its hideous head, but not right now.
Now all Obama has to do is reach over and grab John Edwards hand and invite him to run together, and they will be unstoppable!

And Tweety was slipping glucose tabs into his gob, as I'm sure Enigma noticed. Some of his political "insights" were unbee-effing-leivable. Like that Edwards has no international support. From what depth of diabetic sugar-drop did he pull that out of?
