This story is about Obama, and only about Obama.

An embarrassed State Department admitted today that the passport files of all three presidential candidates -- Sens. John McCain, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton -- have been breached by its employees.

The bombshell announcement came within hours of the admission that Obama's personal file was improperly accessed several times earlier this year and no one was notified of the breach.

The bullshit around the revelations that both Clinton's and McCain's records were breached as well is both pungent and deep.

Clearly the administration is trying to deflect any probes into why Obama's records were breached by making it seem as if everybody who runs for President gets their privacy violated.

Besides it has already been revealed that in the case of Hillary's breach it was a complete accident that was witnessed, and corrected, by a supervisor who was standing behind the new employee as they struggled to learn the system.

And as for John McCain, who cares? If the administration wanted to know where he had been in the world they could just call him and ask him.

This is definitely some secret probe into Obama, for reasons that we do not know now, and may never truly understand. But it is clear that the Republicans are afraid of him and will do anything to find the chink in his armor. Especially now that the Reverend Wright debacle was so masterfully defused by Obama's brilliant speech.
