Yeah I know that everybody is suffering from Sarah-exhaustion but this clip is worth watching just to see Governor Perry pushing Palin around the stage like a little kid who is getting in the way of the grownups. I especially like the look on his face.
I have a new idea for a drinking game.
The next time you hear Sarah talking, take a drink every time she says "also".
Or if you want to get drunk faster, take a shot every time her conversation starts to contradict itself.
But remember kids, be responsible drinkers, don't listen to a Palin speech and drive!
okay. i got to minute 3:14 and had to stop. i can't listen to her nonsense. just can't. and it's too bad, 'cuz i like a good drinking game.
ReplyDeleteIt's like she just tries to talk so much to make herself sound smart, and it backfires. What's so funny is that Sarah doesn't even realize it. In that Wolf Blitzer interview she talked so fast and said so many words about nothing!
ReplyDeleteYesterday on MSNBC Larence O'Donnell made a great point about her running for national office again, and why it would be almost impossible. People forget that she walked into a ready made national campaign. If she decides to run (big IF), she has to build her own organization, get her own supporters, funraising, etc., and survive the primaries, and THAT will never happen. Sensible moderate Republicans are embarrased by her, and they are the only hope their party has if they want to avoid permanent extinction.
I cannot listen to to her word salads...however I agree with the person who posted that she does that because she thinks it makes her look smarter.
ReplyDeleteI worked with someone like that a few years back, and she embarrassed herself on a number of occasions.
The funniest/most horrific time was when I used the word "vacillate" in a sentence. She asked me what it meant, and I explained that that it meant going back and forth re: a decision.
Later we were in a team meeting discussing our clients and she decided to use the new word she learned. She used it in the correct context...however, she said..."he is vagillating". I was stunned...and looked around the conference table at a whole lot of horrified counsellors. So humiliating...but she didnt care, and neither does Palin.

She seemed really depressed to be there, didn't she? And at one point she was lead back to the podium like some sort of war prisoner. I think she really wants to be free of the McCain campaign at this point - but feels that she has to support them.
ReplyDeleteThe result was a very two-faced speech. Some written, none rehearsed. It was ... awkward.
