Americans United for Change creates ad to out those behind the the fight against health care reform.

This guy got rich by overcharging everyday Americans for their health care.

Why should ANYBODY get this rich by gouging those who are trying to protect their health and the health of their families?

Personally I would rather buy into a government run health care program that was more about protecting its clients than lining their own pockets.

But hey that is just me.

I know this is off topic, but Gryph I think you showed your hand too soon. If your source is not willing to come out then you are screwed. All the Palins have to do is not legally divorce and you have effectively ruined your reputation. I know some will believe whatever you say just like some believe whatever Palin says.

I for one believe facts. I think its about time you showed some facts. Or you have seriously damaged this blog and your reputation.

For all you know that info was fed to your "source" as a way to smoke out leaks. You probably hurt that person as well. Did you check your facts? Did you check up on your source? Or did you swallow it hook line and sinker.

I'm kind of concerned that you will take the word of this source as fact without any checks or evidence to back it up, and spread it as fact.

Don't worry about being sued though, Palin doesn't have the balls to go under oath. Her little lawyers threat was just that. A meaningless threat, that will go no where, just like all the others.

This is a blog, you can say what you want, true or not.

Dude! Palin is taking Todd with her everywhere. Doesn't say much for your story if they are seen hand in hand everywhere. They were together at a banquet this weekend being all gross with each other.

    What say you?

  3. OT, but here's a great article on our fave ex-gov:

    http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2009/08/03/palin_ahmadinejad/index.html

Juan Cole compares her to Ahmadinejad.

  4. With Sarah and Todd ready to end things.. that means they must not like each other a whole lot (specially given the affairs and all that juice)

Given that.. This is Prime time for Todd to do his thang and just leave. Missy Poo would be like wait! we had a deal! You can't do this to me now! I neeeed you! At least "act" like we are in love

He's already screwed money wise.. with all her "debt" and baggage now following her.. she won't do the book deal til she makes sure the whole lot of loot is all hers..

    just sayin'

  5. Redhead,

If you read Gryph's post again, you'll find that he didn't mention the word divorce. Whether or not they divorce is/was not the point. He obviously isn't relying on only one source who might have "fed" him the information. He's made it clear that he has proceeded cautiously, making sure of his facts before posting anything. You mix him up with $arah who fires wildly from the hip at any imagined slight, hoping something will stick.

Why are you focusing on the marital status of the post? Because there is no defense for Todd pulling a gun on Levi or the fact that $P has been pressuring the Prosecutor's office in Sherry's case to give her the max? Why isn't there any outrage from the Palin camp about these allegations? They try, as you are to distract, deflect any and all deeper questions by focusing on the trivial. Why no outrage from the Palin camp on the babygate issue? Got any ideas? I thought not.

Don't worry, Gryph's blog and reputation are solid gold, certainly not damaged in the slightest if the Palin's do stay together, in misery, for the rest of their lives.

I will agree with you on one point. There will be no suit filed.

  6. It may not be my place to say so, but I think Redhead is just a concerned reader who wanted to say something. I don't think what was said was said out of malice or anger.

Choosing to leave other issues in the blog post Redhead was talking about out of their reply here does not necessarily mean it was a strategic move in order to distract or deflect anything. The big issue Palin made with the post had been about Gryphen saying they were going to split up. That wasn't the whole issue, as other things were mentioned in the letter I saw, but it seemed to be the issue that sparked the letter.

Maybe, and I don't know because I don't know Redhead, but maybe Redhead didn't mention the other issues because they felt compared to the stink Palin's lawyer made over the subject of Gryphen writing that the Palins were going to split up according a reliable source, the other issues were not quite as important to mention.

Who knows? It doesn't have mean he/she was angry at Gryphen or was trying to distract or deflect anything. Not every little thing said or left out is a strategic move. Not everyone is that scheming.

    Don't be so cynical. :p

And as for this particular post, I agree. I would rather have a public health plan, than what we have now or what the Republicans would rather us have.

There really only seems to be one reason that the people against a government health care plan are only against it because they realize that more people are going to want to go to the government's plan. Thus, any further ideas or plans for the private health care to line anyone's pockets (or their own) too far into the future are going to be ruined.

That pretty much gets rid of their, "the people don't even want a government health plan by majority!" silliness that I keep hearing.

Most people I speak to want a government health care plan anyway. :p

    Health Care...

I went back to work after being on disability for over 10 years and I was shocked to find that I had better health coverage with Medicare/Medicaid then my new co-workers. They were restricted to one hospital group. I worked with one lady who had one day surgery at a hospital facility and after she went home, she collapsed. Her husband told the paramedics there she had surgery, so they took her to the main hospital. She almost died and was placed in ICU for 3 days. The insurance would not cover because it was not the hospital under the plan. The hospital had contracted with another hospital facility for that particular surgery. After coming out of ICU, she was transported to the hospital under the plan. See how crazy it really is?! They had to file bankruptcy for when they got that bill for ICU.

Medicare/Medicaid paid for my double spinal fusion. Private insurance paid for another spinal fusion. I can't say one provided better service than the other; the same doctor performed both surgeries at the same hospital.

    The fear-mongering is deployable.

    Health Care...
    here is idea or many
    1. To those we have elected, stop thinking with your wallets, no more contributions from the drug, insurance, hospital companies lobbyists, you don't deserve it. You don't serve them, you serve "We the People" or we will vote you out.
2.Avoid unnecessary wars with other nations, that have done nothing to us. Stop the evil empire building and genociding of humanity.
3.Demand drug, medical insurance, hospitals to lower their costs: share the expense and stop using us for lab rats.
4.End result: healthly nation who can afford health care. No taxation need.
