Group looking to purchase St. Louis Rams drops Rush Limbaugh. Reason? Smells of cheap cigars, racism, and homophobia.

Now to be honest, I really did not have an opinion on whether Rush should own a team or not.

I don't watch that much football and it would make little or no difference to me WHO owned a sports team.

However I was struck by THIS quote from Rush after he found out he was dropped like a hot racist potato.

According to an account by ESPN, Limbaugh said on air Wednesday: "This is not about the NFL. It's not about the St. Louis Rams. It's not about me. This is about the ongoing effort by the left in this country, wherever you find them, in the media, the Democratic party, or wherever, to destroy conservatism, to prevent the mainstreaming of anyone who is prominent as a conservative.

"Therefore, this is about the future of the United States of America and what kind of country we're going to have."

WTF?

Look you egotistical asshole, what happens to you as an individual has NOTHING to do with America. You are an arrogant, self important, little prick, NOT an entire nation. (I would like to get credit for omitting the obvious fat joke here.)

You know I hear this same crap from Hannity, Glenn Beck, and Bill O'Reilly. They seem to believe that they represent the REAL Americans, and not the corporate CEO's who pad their wallets and give them their talking points.

Sometimes it is difficult for me to determine if THEY are the idiots or if they are just counting on the fact that WE are the idiots.

Do you know how to tell if you are an idiot or not? Simple test. Turn on your television. Is it tuned in to FOX News? Well there is your answer.

I wonder if they would have been called the St. Louis Right Wings with sheets on their helmets. Or perhaps the St. Louis Pills with prescriptions on the helmets. Either way they would have been a joke because it would be rather tough to win in the NFL with a team full of lily white, overweight racists.

So sorry Rush but there is, finally, something money can't buy. It can buy a get-out-of-jail for drugs free card, but it can't buy respectability.

Between the remarks about McNAbb, Bloods vs Crips, wanting to give a medal to MLK's killer and the racist crap thrown at Obama, he is radioactive so to speak, to civilzed people.

  4. Re: those fat jokes about Limbaugh...

In the interview aired a couple of days ago, he said he's dropped 80 pounds, and it really looked like he did. He seemed to be telling the truth for once.

He must have been stung by the jiggling, bouncing image of himself that Keith Olbermann used for a while after that February (date?) 2009 Conservative conference (that Sarah Palin didn't go to).

Question is, how did he lose 80 pounds in 8 months without his teeth falling out (assuming they're still his natural teeth)? Gastric rubber band surgery? Most likely.

But with an addictive, oral personality like his, look for Limbaugh to balloon up to an even larger size within a year. Wouldn't he look good floating over Broadway in NYC in the next Macy's Day Parade?

This is NOT about free speech. He is free to spew any and all crap all day, and he does.

But none of us is free of the consequences of free speech in the marketplace, which they like to say is best when FREE.

Excellent post! I get so sick and tired of all the Faux wingnuts equating everything about them to fascism, socialism, the ruination of 'Merika, etc. And oh, Glenn Beck, STOP using the HOLOCAUST as an example of whatever small (perceived) injustice has been done to you. Grow a pair, boys - FAST.

I don't think Rush is a prick. You have to have one to be one. He's so fat, he hasn't seen his in years.

The only problem with Rush Limpballs’ statement is that it isn’t peace-sign-flashing, granola eating, save-the-whale lefties that are against he being part of the “Team Owner’s Club.” The people who’ve cast “the ole sex tourist” out are white, Republican, rich guys.

For 30 years I have been "undeclared" as a registered voter. But, the reason I signed up to be a Democrat recently was so I could donate to the Dem Party, because they are more patriotic than the Repubs in my opinion. I have made Alaska my home during this period, but have lived in many states, and even other countries. I feel I have broad insights and am objective in my views. (Palin is another reason I have made this decision. She disgusts me to no end.)

Rush Limbaugh is a self inflating, wife hopping, flaccid, drug addled pedophile junkie who seems to think that everything revolves around him. It is true that while his mass has at times reached nearly planetesimal levels, to my knowledge nothing has been confirmed to be in orbit around Lord Lardass.

The Porcine Prince should be in prison for raping children. Anybody, ANYBODY that places any stock in anything this moral reprobate says has seriously flawed judgement.

    LOL...thanks, Gryphen. Great post!

I have to admit that I was glad that guy was dropped, basically for his venom spewing mouth. I can't listen to him on the radio for more than a few minutes. I found it embarrassing to be driving and caught yelling at the radio by other motorists.

OT---MSNBC has a report on right now about a little 6-year-old boy who is over Colorado in some kind of balloon....oh, no! It is not a regular kind...

To all of you 60ish men who listen to this asshole on the radio...turn the station...I repeat turn the station. I just hope he pisses off the teabaggers although that's unlikely because he's the one insighting them.

  22. The hypocrisy of the Right has no bounds.
They try to legislate everything that they want and stand for and at the same time cry about large government.
Rush is a liar, a hypocrite and just plain evil.
He does not represent all conservatives, just rich white ones that want to keep the system as is, because it serves and enriches them.

    PatD sez,

Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck et al do not actually have any coherent political philosophies to impart.

They have no bona fides to back up any noise that they may make that resembles some sort of political commentary.

    What are they then?

Entertainers with an extremely low-brow "shtick"! Kind of like the baggy pant Vaudeville comedians, endlessly recycling the same tired old material.

Finally! Finally, his rhetoric has turned on him and he's feeling the pain. No matter that he lays the blame elsewhere; there has been plenty said about why the mysterious group chose to drop him from further involvement.

Living in St Louis, I'm relieved. As a human being, I'm ecstatic he's out of this picture, at least!

Wow, just watched Hardball, this very subject, the segment was great! Would be a great addition, indeed!

The reverend was excellent in keeping to the topic at hand, that guy's peers withdrew his name. And to his defense, PBuchanan was using talking points. It was very interesting how he thought it was evil, what happened to that guy. And he played all the cards, even Vick and then censorship. My bad, but censorship by one's peers is not like censorship by government. Why should those players put money in some guy's pocket after he dissed them on the American airwaves? Don't the airwaves belong to everybody? Then, he stepped on toes and now his yelling unfair?! He bite the hand, and as usual, blaming others instead of accepting the consequences of his words! But I was shocked to hear he is on the airwaves three hours each day! No wonder! The piped piper he is.

I was impressed by an American workforce having a voice, reminds me of Norma Jean!

For those football fans out there watching Sunday Night Football on NBC, just remember Al Michaels is Rush Limbaughs Best Friend Forever, google it. I can't stand to listen to Michaels anymore knowing he admires Limbaugh so much.
