The father of Sarah Palin's grandson "says he doesn't want to hurt Sarah Palin but he knows some things that could do just that," CBS News gushed Tuesday morning by way of plugging Wednesday's "exclusive" interview with Levi Johnston on "The Early Show."
Want more? We've got it, compliments of CBS:
"The Early Show's" Maggie Rodriguez asked Johnston about Palin's new book. Which, BTW, Palin herself will plug on the Nov. 16 episode of Oprah Winfrey's syndicated talk show -- which, in one of those extraordinary coincidences, is distributed by -- CBS!
"Sounds like you really resent her now," she asks Levi during the interview, which was taped in advance.
"Well now I've heard all the things she's said. You know, the Sarah Palin I knew before, it was -- it was her putting on a front, it was her being fake to me and now that everything's slowly coming out and I'm hearing more things, you know, and things she's said and done, you know, I see the real Palin," Levi responds, before stepping through the looking glass:
Maggie: Are you hurt by all this?
Levi: I was yeah, and now its just kind of like, alright, well now its my turn.
Maggie: What do you mean by that?
Levi: Well its like Vanity Fair. I'm gonna go out, I told a little bit of stuff and you know, I'm just not going to take it anymore.
Maggie: But you really sound like somebody who's dead set on hurting these people the way they hurt you.
Levi: No, I'm not really in it to hurt them though.
Maggie: That's what it sounds like...somebody whose bent on revenge and getting even, 'now it's my turn'.
Levi: Well that's part of it, I guess, but at the same time, you know, if she's going to go out there and say things to me, about me, I'm going to leak some things on her. I mean that's just how it is.
Well it is about freaking time!
So tune in tomorrow kids, it looks like Levi might be ready to stop screwing around and to start giving up the goods.
Update: Huffington Post is covering this story as well and the comments section is "pregnant" with babygate comments. Go see for yourself.
I think that he has already been interviewed. I get the impression that he will not be saying mroe until he releases his book and that we will not learn much more from him until then.
ReplyDeleteI hope I'm wrong.
Look Levi, I don't mean to be pushy, but it's time tell whatever it is you want the world to know about your almost mother-in-law. Really, you've got people, and not just a few, that are and have been on your side. So, no more pussy footing around. Okay. Good.
ReplyDeleteI just hope he keeps his pants on. He does have a little boy or two.
ReplyDeleteWouldent it be sweet if he spills the beans on Babygate? Admits he's the father and Bristol is the mother, or that Track is the father and what's her name is the real mother?
ReplyDeleteSweet dreams, children.
Don't expect him to spill a lot tomorrow. He's got to give up just enough to keep the interest and speculation going. That way people will want more, whether it's in a book, interviews, whatever.
ReplyDeleteLevi - You've got to be honest for the sake of the country. It's that simple.
ReplyDeleteLike anywhere else, blood runs thicker than water in the Johnston household.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Levi is going to break out the charts and graphs!!! :-}

I would like to know that this is true. I can believe he is mad as hell, but what does he have to tell and what is his back up?
ReplyDeletePalin does not need anymore reason to attack him. I want to think that Rex and Tank have him well covered.
It's been going on too long and too much tease.
levi ain't gonna say anything worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteSarah Q.
OT, Does anyone know how Levi's sister, Sadie, is doing? I think this is her senior year of high school. It must be hard with her mother not there. Sadie is on her own at 17 years old.
ReplyDeleteLevi who?
ReplyDeleteStrategically...I would think Levi has been told to ' wait ' until Sarah's book comes out until he tries to dispute certain Facts she claims. That way she can't take it back. It's in print. That seems smart and his lawyer would know that. The book will act like a way to cross examine Sarah's testimony.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Huffpo story... they are letting everything through it looks like. I was able to paste the active link to Bree's picture slideshow a few times. The dates with the pics... tell the whole story. It was never moderated and some of the comments have as many as 3 links back to Baby-gate stories and blogs. Links that were forbidden a few weeks ago. Comment away on the story.Everything goes.
Come over to Huffpo on the Palin story. Hurry

What a fuckin tease. He's a bigger tease than Olympia Snowe.
ReplyDeleteI don't see it coming out tomorrow either but instead he's letting those that want to capitalize on the bringing her down that he's got the good if they want them.
ReplyDeleteHe is all too easily attacked whenever he does anything, but I'll say it again....in every instance of reading and watching this kid he doesn't seem to have a vindictive or greedy bone in his body. Think about it, he didn't ask to be a part of this, he stayed home in Wasilla doing his own thing then they drew him in, gussied him up and put him on display.
If he knows the goods on her and her devious behavior he owes it to all of us to make it known and quite frankly he deserves a chance to make some money for his two boys. Ultimately his income helps Bristol and the boys.
That said now it's time to take on Joe Lieberman's sorry ass.

If Levi has a patriotic bone in his body, he will do all he can to STOP this grifter/liar/vulgar idiot from going any further in her quest to destroy our Country - she wants to "progress" this great Nation to a Theocracy.
ReplyDeleteShe spews her vile, hateful remarks at our President, and her followers eagerly hop on board the crazy train. Please Levi, if you have anything that can stop her - do it for your Country. The woman is a dangerous demagouge.
No, no, no. Levi owes us nothing. Yes he knows all. But the minute he tells it, he loses the leverage of it. He still has a sister going to school, a mom in jail, a baby or two to watch ever, a possible custody battle ahead as soon as SP can find a way to cut him out of their lives. Tiny tidbits, Levi. Don't say NUTHIN'. The more you keep in reserve, the more power you retain when the SP machine tries to do you in again, just like before. Do what Rex tells you to do. Sock away some money. Keep some ammo in reserve.
ReplyDeleteLevi: WHATEVA
ReplyDeleteAnd what do you mean about start leaking stuff? Get on with it, already.
Team Levi!
ReplyDeleteI don't think Levi is capable of saying anything more than "You know." He's an undereducated nineteen year old whose experience in the Big World is extremely limited.
ReplyDeleteIf he REALLY had something to say, he'd say it on 60 Minutes where it would get far more exposure.
I'm not holding my breath on learning anything more than the super-crunch-from-Taco-Bell story.
The closer to 2012 we get the higher the price for Levi's information. He is waiting for the book and the interviews to see what Sarah has to say. His interview today did send a warning volley to Sarah.
ReplyDeleteLevi seems honest and straightforward. He's keeping the pressure on Sarah and it's just a matter of time before she implodes. Looking at the photos of the house under construction, she's undoubtedly already spent the book advance and then some, when you consider what she has paid her ghostwriter and her agent. That's why she's frantically trying to raise more money. It's not going too well on the lecture circuit and no one seems too interested in her "expertise."
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Amy1 @743pm. Even though most of us, me included, want Levi to tell all as soon as possible, the situation almost HAS to be manipulated. 1st, Sarah's book has to be released. Lately I've been so frustrated with the constant speculation that I've consoled myself by telling myself that if something significant does not break on or shortly after the book release, then that will be it for me. I will be done. Tired of being teased with something that MAY or MAY NOT exist. I'm okay with that. Frankly, as of this point in time, I'm satisfied that Palin stands no chance of becoming the GOP nominee in 2012 or the future. She is taking the path of Gingrich, who has way too much baggage to be a serious contender. She would absolutely NEVER make it through the primaries. I don't care how many unintelligent fundies there are out there, it ain't enough to get her anywhere near the White House.
ReplyDeleteNow, I consider: what does Levi have to gain? Well, since he was dragged out of what likely would have been a normal young person's path in life, whether modest or not, he needs to think about what his options are for income and support of his child(ren). Even though it seems crass on the surface, he needs to get as much as he deserves out of this. Look, his life was derailed by these people and his prospects (Alaskans can confirm or debunk this) for a regular life hence are possibly quite limited now, because of that experience. Tawdry as it may seem, it is no more tawdry than the grifting that his former to be M-I-L is engaging in.
One thing that disappoints me is that I'm not hearing Levi talk about are the national and political implications that Palin presents as being the reason for him to divulge what he knows. He has already said that he was used and duped by her. Why not translate that into the public also having been duped as the reason that he is revealing what he knows. Right now, the tit-for-tat scenario is not garnering him much in the way of sympathy or credibility. Certainly, he could rise above tawdry if the information he knows were framed in such a way. Would it not come across as more sincere and altruistic?
That's just my .02 for today :)
