The father of Sarah Palin's grandson will talk exclusively with"Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez on the program Monday, Oct. 26. Rodriguez will ask Johnston about Palin's upcoming autobiography, "Going Rogue: An American Life," among other things.
Well personally I am addicted to Levi's story, so I will definitely be watching.
I still believe that Levi has the most damaging information about Sarah, and that when he finally does decide to put pen to paper (or sits down with a good ghostwriter) it will destroy the last vestiges of Palin's credibility.
THAT is why Caribou Barbie is going on the offensive in her book "Going Rogue". Apparently she believes that if she can keep this a contest of "she said, he said" that she will come out ahead.
Personally I think she is fooling herself.
I kind of hope that Levi avoids the whole Playgirl question, though I am puzzled at just how he hopes to keep it classy.
I will be watching too Gryphen, thanks for the info. I think Levi's lawyer wants Sarahs book out first. I bet its already written except for a small rebuttal chapter. My guess is Levi's book will be out by Xmas while Sarahs will already be in the dollar din :)

ReplyDeleteI remain firmly in the Levi/Butler camp: Playgirl aside (I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on that one), it has been my impression that Levi's aims (and the Butler team's, on Levi's behalf) have been entirely to provide for his family. Give his mother good legal protection and a get-out-of-jail card ASAP, gather financial resources, get appropriate visitation, and down the line perhaps a custody suit, where a nice nest egg would be a decided asset (and lack of same could prompt the Palins to try to establish that their money gives them a better claim to healthy upbringing of children).

I don't see Levi as that interested in U.S. political issues, in outing anyone, in "setting he record straight," or in our curiosity or wish for closure in this matter, and certainly not in fame per se. I think he is thinking about his son, or the two little boys, and his role in their upbringing in a family that he hopes to make as whole as possible, after all that has happened. I think these are the purest goals I have seen among this whole huge nest of Palins. So let's give him a break on Playgirl. I think the national notoriety re nudity means v little to him, as he lasers in on his true goals and prepares for life after SP. Go Levi!

This is just one more example of why Palin needed to get this book out early--before more damaging information comes out--in order to maximize her financial gain (and her publisher's). If she really cared about setting the record straight, she would want to have the last word, not the first.

To 7:14, I'm from MD, for what it's worth! Gryphen, I fear that nothing that Levi has to will be taken seriously by the MSM. Look at his VF article. Todd Purdum's article was talked about as fairly bad for Palin whereas Levi's was sniffed at even by liberal op-eds.

Hopefully, he will take the money, get his GED if he hasn't already, and enroll in a college or trade school.

If Levi and Bristol are the parents of both boys does this mean that he signed away his parental rights to one of them? And did he do so under some duress?
I have great difficulties reconciling myself to the idea, as some here and on other blogs have claimed, that Bristol faked her pregnancy with T2. I can, however, accept that she was not as pregnant as was claimed when the news was first released last September and that she gave birth some time later than originally claimed. I think that Gryphen's post with the post partum pictures of Bristol best backs up this theory.

I also think that she could have been padded to make her appear more pregnant than she was during the convention. But I do believe that she was pregnant. Just not five months pregnant.
Therefore my working theory is that Levi signed away his parental rights to T1 and that he did not become a father again until 2009 and that Bristol gave birth later than claimed.

I'm worried about putting too much trust in Levi. I don't think we can say that Rex Butler is giving him such good advice if he's going to be in Playgirl magazine? ReplyDeleteYes. It doesn't take much of a stretch to make those two pregnancies work out. Just a few weeks do it. It's incredibly suspicious that nobody saw Tripp until he was supposedly 7 weeks old. Except, of course, for Sherry, whose fate was in Sarah's hands. I keep thinking that Sherry is what's keeping Levi from talking. She's in jail. Sarah has a lot of friends, and by this time I've reached the point that being a friend of Sarah's automatically means corruption- because she dumps anyone who doesn't agree with her. How likely is Sherry to stay safe, or even get medical care, if Levi acts up? I don't think he's a rocket scientist, but he's smart enough to lawyer up and keep his mouth shut.
Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with the Playgirl pictures? What's the big deal? Who is shocked by nudity any more? Levi Johnston going the full Monty for cash to support his child is a lot classier than Sarah Palin could ever hope to be.

After reading about Levi's black helicopter taxi to capture him away from what he wanted to do, I have felt great empathy. They hood winked him against his will. It just wasn't right.

Okay let me address this question about the bodyguard, because I have seen it pop up on a number of blogs and even on cable newscast or two.
ReplyDeleteTank Jones is a Private Investigator, who has also worked as a bodyguard and bouncer. He is a giant of a man, and very intimidating.
However his main job in dealing with Levi is as his agent. It is Tank and not Rex who deals with most of the media questions and makes the deals for magazine work and television appearances.
There have been reports that Levi had two bodyguards with him in New York, but I am not sure who the other person would have been, though I am certain that one of them was Tank, who never let's Levi too far out of his site.
Now to the question of whether Levi has had threats against him. Hell yes! And does he NEED protection? I would say that at the very least he needs to be very, very cautious.
Some of the people who support Palin are out of their fucking minds! Shannyn, Linda, AKM, and I have all seen that up close and personal as our e-mail accounts filled up with hate filled messages. Some people even threatening to kill us or our families.
The four of us do not pose anywhere near the kind of threat that Levi poses, so it stands to reason that HE would get the most attention from the bat-shit brigade, and he does.
By posing for Playgirl, Levi will lose some of the moral highground he has achieved over SP. Sadly, he is young enough to see this as a way to feed both his ego and his pocketbook. I hope he will change his mind and not do the pose. As far as his book release goes, I think he will do best, money-wise, to release it shortly after SP's book comes out; it could be a smash hit during the Christmas sales season.

ReplyDeleteAlthough pardoning turkeys at Thanksgiving brings on-camera time for many a mayor and governor across the nation, and seldom raises an eyebrow, only Sarah considered that she might be inviting criticism. Why?
It was reported that Palin's office was asked by the photographer if she wanted "that" as a background, and they were told, "no worries."
If the "little levity" Sarah referred to was the scene in the background, she pretty much stood alone. Few others found it amusing--in fact, it could easily be construed as a veiled threat by some folks--and it is my guess that it didn't just go over the heads of those to whom it was, perhaps, directed.
So, if it were left up to me, at least for the time being, I would see to it that Tank never leaves young Levi's side--the video is still on You Tube, for anyone who needs a reminder.
The whole Playgirl like porn meme is sold to you by some corporate spin machine. If you feel morally violated, take a breath and reaccess. Two things stood out for me:
Pastor John Doak quotes SP as saying: all evil, Lord, turns to good..that..for those he loves.
Huh? "For those he loves?" Golly, Wally, maybe I missed something, somewhere, but I have always been left with the impression that the Lord loves everyone--it is evil deeds "He" hates.
So, maybe SP thinks that she has a free ride. Since He loves "her" she can do all the evil she wants then stand back and watch as the Lord miraculously turns it into good?
Okay, maybe that is a little over the top--but the report also included the information that Sarah did not attend church that day--that lends, at least, a sprinkling of credence to young Levi's statement in the VF article that she did not attend church that often.
I find this prejudgement of Levi's motives for posing in Playgirl rather odd, considering it's fine for an upstanding homophobic Christian woman (Prejean) to surgically enhance her body (temple) to try to win a beauty contest, and still be held up as a role model.

ReplyDeleteI too wish Levi had confined his public appearances to The New Yorker magazine, which I love, but face it, folks, he's getting more money and a bigger audience to care about that moment when he finally must speak, or when he must threaten to speak and have it have some teeth.
Let's give him a break. Let's give his Butler team a break. I see them handling it well. Maybe not the way you or I would (but maybe we would be wrong). And let us remember that -- in contrast to SP and her team -- Levi+Butler have committed no crimes, no unethical actions. Levi's Mom's crime? ReplyDeleteSeriously folks, all this talk about how the kids resemble someone other than their parents is silly and distracting. A while back, people were on about how Bristol looks more like Sherry J. than Sarah. What's the point of all this? It just detracts from the legitimacy of the babygate story, which has many serious aspects to it, not just idle speculation about nothing.
Gryphen and the other bloggers have put alot of effort into getting at the truth. Why give people who read these blogs an opportunity to say that we are just a bunch of Sarah haters who will promote any crazy idea that makes her look bad?
