Oh THIS is not going to make a certain ex-Governor of Alaska very happy.

“Game Change,” the 2008 campaign tell-all book by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, takes over the No. 1 rank on our list of top political books, while “Going Rogue” by Sarah Palin slips to No. 5.

And guess what? "Game Change" managed to get to number one without having a bunch of conservative groups buying it in bulk to create the artificial illusion that it was a great book.

Let's face it if "Going Rogue" had been forced to compete on a level playing field it would NEVER have even come close to a bestsellers list. But Palin always insists the deck be stacked in her favor, doesn't she?

She's fading into oblivion, like the worn out toy the dog is tired of playing with. The sooner the better.

  2. Too bad her followers don't read (PROUD of it, too!).
If they read this book (with an open mind), I believe they would get a clue.
But, like all CULTS, open minds are not allowed.
I loved "Game Change." It is NOT a "hit piece" on Palin at all - just the facts, those pesky facts.

  3. If only the media, mainstream and otherwise, would quit giving her the attention she craves. Although I have to admit, I don't recall her being mentioned on KO and TRMS last week...a good sign. If we all lay low, she'll go away, or more likely do something incredibly stupid to get back in the headlines. Someday, it will be something just stupid or breathtaking enough...

"Game Change" gave us the telling phrase "mentally unstable" which the McCain staffers were discussing. That gift warrants a No. 1 rank.

  5. Granny grifter Fades all too slow. I am afraid she will see the enduring effect she has wraught by the permanent dents in our foreheads everytime she spews more bullshit. Now there is an entrepreneurial item a forehead protecter that mounts on desk infront of keyboard. Now if Levi's book out sold hers THAT would be a cringe factor.

And the New York Times noted today that her book had dropped off their Best Seller list.

Dang! I'm only number 8 on the Library list. But let's see, it's come down from 22.
    I'm getting there. Cant wait!!

Just wait, as far as attention. I'm sure she'll be tweeting something real soon to get herself back in the news.

    Dread it all...

Why read a work of fiction, when the non-fiction account is available?

Glad to hear "Game Change" is being widely read. I bet it is on the bedside table of every person professionally associated with organizing and running successful campaigns. SP had the chance of a lifetime to cultivate and impress this nation's top movers and shakers and she has poisoned her own well.

Today at Wal-Mart I noticed the best seller endcap was largely stacked with Dean Koontz's latest thriller "Breathless" and a bio of Susan Doyle.

I can hardly wait to get my hands on Geoffrey Dunn's book, although I know that with each week (almost each day) that passes, she is giving him more material for his book.

I expect this will be a continuing series, as SP will continue to seek the spotlight, no matter what crazy stunt she has to pull for attention.

  14. Saw her book at WalMart the other day for $19.97. Needless to say, I turned the books around. BTW, who would pay that price anyway!

I loved Game change! It didn't spend enough time on Paylin/grifter liar but what it did was striking!
All of them knew what a mistake she was out the gate, she lied on her vetting papers!
Yep, granny, those Pesky facts...all come back to haunt...tsk,tsk!

Slow and Painful! I've loved the past week with her blabber all over Andrea, then Andrea striking back.

"Now if Levi's book out sold hers THAT would be a cringe factor."

I'd like that too. I'm just not so sure Levi will do much since his sons involved. But we can hope!!

  17. I'm shocked that 'Going Rogue' is still selling and on the list at all. I wonder how many copies it takes to put a book in the no. 5 slot?

I'm waiting to get her book at the dollar store. I say by June it will be there in the island of misfit books.

I thought I saw a book list recently where Going Rouge was #17?? I saw a woman on the plane a few weeks ago reading Game Change. She looked absorbed, and proud of it - she was holding it in such a way that it was highly visible. :-)

I have Dunn's book on pre-order form Amazon. It is a WHOLE book devoted to the Palin lies and escapades, unlike Game Change.

Thanks Gryph, for your continued hard work on this blog. Do you get time to do anything else??

OT: What if they had a snowmobile race and there was no snow???
    http://frontiersman.com/articles/2010/02/21/local_news/doc4b81df2ceb853452903871.txt

Hey SARAH, Hows that "Global change is a snowjob" workin' out for ya???
Look at the pics on the MatSu valley online and you will see NO snow!
I think they should of called this gas guzzling "race" off...now peoples live's are in jeopardy.

I am worried for the Iditarod, A REAL race of guts, Mushers and their dogs, so I hope snow falls after the irondawg.
The Iditarod is the only real race anyway.

So after 3 months at #1, Palin slips to #5 and this is bad news?

Care to wager where 'Game Change' will be in April?

I thouroughly enjoyed "Going Rouge", and am looking forward to finshing Game Change. Sarah's scamming days are coming to a close, once Dunn's book hit's number 1, everyone will be onto her and there'll be nowhere to hide.

BTW Thanks, Gryphen for all you do. I don't say it enough, but please know how much we appreciate your hard work and insight!

Ask yourselves, how many copies of Game Change were printed and how many were sold?

Sarah Palin's has already sold the bulk of her books. And trust me, if she ever decides to run for President, she will sell more.

And no, her book sales were not inflated. That claim made by the blog owner cannot be confirmed by corraborating evidence.

Not a good weekend for Mrs. Palin.
Her book drops to #5 on the best seller list.

She only got 7% of the vote in CPAC's straw poll.

She bombs big time in her attack on Andrea Friedman.

On the net, article after article, blog after blog are denouncing her, commenting on her mental INabilities, bitterness and meanness.

Wonder how that campaign on C4P is working out for her? You know the one where Adrienne Ross said to call the Family Guy sponsors and "call Murdoch, Ailes and FoxNews first"?? Can't wait to see who gets smacked down on that one.

Poor lil ol' Sarah. What up Sarah?

Game Change has been at the top spot on Amazon since it came out. It knocked Going Rogue off because it's the type of book that appeals to a much greater portion of the American people. It's well-written, filled with facts, and gives us the real behind the scenes look at campaign 2008. $arah's book was her way of trying to get back at those she was angry with even though she was the one to blame for the mistakes she made. It was nothing but a whine fest and a serious politician would never do that prior to running for national office.

The only reason her book sold well is that the fundies bought it by the thousands to give away. The funny thing is, they still have copies, along with Newsmax. She's not all that popular but she can't face facts.

Don't forget the fact that in order for Palin to sign the books of her minion followers'- they were forced to buy two books -- no receipt for two books - no signature. About a week ago my son told me in Wisconsin Going Rogue was advertised on the radio for $4.95.

You can't make this stuff up. I hope Sarah is exposed and soon.

That has to be one of the most idiotic posts you have made (and that is saying a lot). First of all, Sarah's book has been out for over three months, for it to still be in the top 10 is commendable. Second, how long did it take Game Change to get to be number 1. I believe it took longer than Going Rogue. Third, I guess the thousands of people that were lining up to buy her book EVERYWHERE she had a book signing were a figment of our imagination.

Oh, well. We know how "Progressives" like to spin facts so I guess that it is par for the course.

Her followers tried to make "Game Change" look bad on Amazon by giving it just one star (claiming that they were rating it low because it wasn't out on Kindle yet). However, that didn't work. "Game Change" and the truth are winning!!!
