Climate activists decide that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not disliked enough to convince Americans to embrace clean energy so they replaced him in their advertisements with Sarah Palin.

This is the old advertisement that the American Values Network would put on city buses.

Now here is the replacement.

The ads will run on about 100 D.C. buses for at least a month, said American Values Network Executive Director Eric Sapp. The campaign is “well into the six-figure range,” he added.

Yeah I think they made the right choice. Seeing that smug face of Sarah Palin next to an oily bird makes me REALLY want to embrace clean energy and piss that bitch off!

Do you know what my favorite part is about this group?  The fact that they are a FAITH based group comprised of religious leaders and people of faith, as well as veterans and military leaders.  There is no WAY for Sarah to fight back!

What is she going to do, start insulting her base?

Ah Karma, I just love it when you make an appearance!

The Department of Defense is leading the way for Clean Energy because, it also helps our country's National Security. There was a townhall at the Denai'na Center yesterday. Former Iraq war vets, and Retired Marine General gave their perspective. The first Navy ship that runs on biofuel has been launched. Many things that the military are doing. I wish more locals had attended!!! Please check out this website and pass it on. Look under events for a townhall near you. They have already traveled over 25,000 miles through the states spreading the grassroots message.

Senator Begich also gave a speech.

It doesn't matter that the group is faith based. If they're disagreeing with Saint Sarah, then they're obviously from the wrong faith. See how that works?

The challenge for these advertisers was to make an ad for BP, showing that the oil spill is a good thing.

From an Australian show about advertising, Wednesday night:

  5. Oh rest assured that Palin supporters will demonize anyone who doesn't rally to the banner of Saint Sarah.

I'm so glad to hear their plan is not to just "PRAY" about it; that mankind's raping of Mother Earth, has no effect, just because we asked God to clean up our mess.

Although, it can't hurt, as a "side" effort, as I suspect we are way past being able to control the payback coming our way.

Palin OWNS the inane slogan, "Drill, baby, Drill," into perpetuity.

Before the Gulf oil spill, it was obvious that she smugly reveled in her ownership of the implied naughty macho-sexiness of the slogan.

Now, Palin owns the oily sh*t mess in the Gulf by virtue of her previous eagerness to assume the role of the GOP's pin up girl for "drill, baby, drill." The heady, but erstwhile, macho-sexy smugness is languishing under national outrage over the greatest environmental disaster in this country's history. Couldn't happen to a more deserving shill.

Final note: Using Palin as the antithesis of the "smarter way" to energy is the best part of the bus ad. I wonder if she even comprehends that her obvious ignorance is now a potent advertising tool.

Yup, her backers must be grinding their teeth today, trying to think of a comeback to this one. Perhaps God is demanding that we drill for the natural resources He planted for us, and it's OK to ruin untold miles of shoreline/people's livelihoods? Hey, the Rapture is just down the block anyway, so who cares? Wink, wink, you betcha!

But seeing Sarah's oily con artist grin next to the horrid result of the GOP mantra is priceless negative PR. Whatever brings Sistah Sarah closer to her eventual emotional meltdown is fine with me!

Back when, a few christian bible authors had many believing that anyone who supported the green movement was possibly supporting the dark side, since environmentalists seemed at the beginning to stem from a lot of new ageism, homeopathy, naturalists from 60's rebellious hippie movements, and what not.

In this decade, there is more faith-based concern with the temporal habitation of man. The problem with the old school of thought which still lingers, is that anything to do with working towards a greener earth is aiding and abetting the hedonistic liberals. But it seems finally that they are waking up from that deep sleep and seeing how profound this problem is.

Definitely funny to see Sarah's face on their ad.

Gryphen...you have to see Sarah's new SarahPAC promotional video. They just showed it on Morning Joe.

That is hilarious. Especially since Ahmadinejad was Sarah's FAVORITE name to say during the '08 campaign. So impressive to be able to pronounce it (she obviously thought). OH, simple Sarah!

I love this on so many levels: the word "smarter" next to Scarah's face is a great zinger, not to mention replacing Ahmadinejad's face with hers...priceless! AND a faith-based organization...a triple whammy! See, Scarah, God talks to all kinds of people, not just you and Beck. I'm pretty sure this time he's telling you to STFU. GREAT start to my day; how 'bout you, Scarah???

Yes, Anon@4:36 AM $p thought she was so intelligent because she could pronounce Admadinejad. Yet she could not pronounce then Sen. Biden's name. Had to play granny cute and say Obiden. No respect given to anyone.

Curious isn't it, that most americans understand that oil demand can be related to national security but not to your wars?
