Update: I am barely into Chapter One and I am already reading about Todd bullying somebody.
It is Catherine Taylor the lady who rented Joe the house next door to the Palins for that summer.
I met Catherine at the house when Joe first moved in. She was very, very sweet.
Before she even knew who I was she leaned in close and said "You know what? I don't think she had that baby."
That made Joe laugh uproariously and he said to her, "Do you know who you are talking to?
After we explained who I was she offered to sit down for an interview with me, but something made her get cold feet and it never happened. That is too bad, I imagine she had tons of information that I would have loved to post.

I daresay that Gryphen getting an advance copy does not mean that he can disclose any info prior to the public release on 9/20 unless told to do so by Joe Mc's publisher. Joe Mc and his publisher, in order to build advance interest in the book have most likely told those lucky enough to receive a copy 5 days early, that there are "certain items" that they can share, to push sales and build interest, but I'm certain it won't be a free-for-all. You still might have to go to that library whenever the book is available and actually read it yourself.
Of ANYONE I can possibly think of, YOU Jesse deserve to have this book in hand to support your hard work for the years you have had your 'nose to the grindstone', building a huge reading audience from around the world, hanging on your every post for it's snark, it's intelligence, it's gentle sharings, it's beautiful rage, it's unraveling of the myth that is Sarah Palin...aka...Vanilla from Wasilla.

There are a LOT more revelations coming out in Joe McGuiness's book. Yeah, she had a 1 night stand with Glen Rice. He confirmed it to Joe and a few other people over the years. Why would he lie? As a youngster I found great happiness in "notching my bedpost" with sexual conquests (it was the free and easy early 80's, pre-AIDS, at least in small-town America), but I really never noted their ethnicity. Soon they were pointing out just how threatening the supposed “cop-killer rapper” looked in his terrifying sweater and tie ensemble. I would have complained right then, there is little room between the two houses. First, please learn English. I had to read your question 3 times to realize what you were saying.
Answer: You're talking about Glen's reaction versus Sarah's reaction, so comparing them makes no sense whatsoever. Did you notice Glen didn't claim it happened again? Sarah didn't say that she was horrified she talked to a black man. She said she was horrified she slept with him. And apparently, she didn't do it again. No contradiction there.

Robert Stacy McCain lives (or used to, last time I checked) down the road from Hagerstown, MD in the enclave of Seventh day Adventist school and church territory. Not picking on the church, I have a great respect for them.
ReplyDeletePerhaps McCain feels very secure living on church property,in what is considered a Republican enclave with Roscoe Bartlett as the long, long time Republican representative. Bartlett is also an Adventist. The area is conservative, and often considered "red neck" as compared to the rest of the state of MD. Last I checked, McCain's wife operated the daytime childcare center for the local Adventist academy. They also live in church housing. I have read his blog and I don't think it reflects the integrity of most Adventist church goers. He has a bunch of kids and would have a tough time carrying for them if he had to house and support them all on his own. I guess he depends on his wife a lot, kind of like Todd Palin.

From day one when Sarah announced to the whole world that her daughter was pregnant, Levi is the father and they plan to marry she had her people go straight to the Johnston home to answer the phone and door for them. She did not to take any chances of the Johnstons telling the media the truth. Her people took control over the situation. Told them she was doing them a favor so they didn't have to deal with the media. The Johnstons know no why they did it but was blind to it when it all took place. Then, under the bus they went. Have fun reading Gryphen! I haven't decided if I'll order one for my Kindle on Tuesday or not. I'm not sure how many revelations there will really be for people who've been watching Sarah for years.
Haven't read the comments and so maybe I am repeating something already said, but this book and the hit piece movie and the levi book all falling in the same time frame give her the perfect excuse for not running while saving face among the most loyal. Look at the smear campaign, and she is not even announced yet. Think of what a full campaign will bring out. Think of how her family will suffer. And so on. She can play the victim big time now. Good for all of America that she doesn't run, of course, but she needs to keep the money coming in and now she kind of has the escape clause from the corner she painted herself into.

ReplyDeleteAs much as I hope McGinniss' book puts the soon to be defendant (I hope) out of commission, I admit that I was looking forward to the circus of $Paylin making some feeble attempt of a pretense of runnin' for POTUS. I very much doubt that will happen now.

ReplyDeleteI didn't know that Palin was the mayor of Wasilla at the time of Leppnick's murder. They had a house in Wasilla & there may have been some pertinent work that the local police could have helped with finding & convicting the the killers.
Anyway the author mentioned a couple of times that Palin was so busy with her own preoccupation of firing the police chief etc. That nothing was done locally to help the state troopers.
Way to go Sarah! You pretty much stalled an investigation & practically let the killers go free.
Is the anything she doesn't ruin?

Sarah has known all along that The Rogue and Levi's book as well as the Nick Broomfield documentary were all coming out in September. She's timed her "announcement" at the end of September.

The advance notice about when she'll make her big "announcement" will be perfectly timed to measure the fall-out from the two books and the documentary. Time to decide if she can keep the "I haven't made up my mind" tease going or whether she has to tearfully hide from the haters, retire to wherever and become an martyr.
I'm hoping she will decide on martyrdom. She's a natural for it.

Good grief...Gryph CAN'T release too much info BEFORE the book comes out, have you NO sense of humor about how some of us are "begging" him to NOT release too much info before the book is released? We are not stupid enough to believe he can "read us" the book word for word and/or tell us more than he is allowed before 9/20/11. "STFU?" you say? I would respond in kind, rude person, but I don't have issues like you obviously do. You'll get to "read" the book for free in due time. (and just for the record, I paid $14.95 + free shipping on my Amazon pre-order for the book, not exactly breaking the bank there dear) My friends & I take turns buying "must read now" books and swap.
