I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I have watched this video, and it just NEVER seems to get old.
There are of course numerous versions of this video, but I decided to go with the traditional Countdown version featuring Keith Olbermann stand in David Shuster. Unlike some of the other videos they had the decency to blur out the actual headless turkeys and bloody carnage taking place behind that clueless dipshit from Wasilla. I did not want to ruin anybody's appetite today.
Very presidential. Maybe that was a metaphore for what she was about to do to anyone who got in the way of her relentless march to the WH?? I have no doubt that the troll will be here today, describing the "happy, loving Palin family" all enjoying themselves at Applebees. Too bad they never had the experience of REALLY gathering around the table to enjoy any meal prepared by their heartless "mother" She locked herself, with her Crunch Wrap Supreme, in her room. Happy Thanksgiving to all the INTELLIGENT people on this blog.
ReplyDeleteYes, Gryphen, the Palin turkey interview has reached cult status along with A Charlie Brown Christmas and the episode of WKRP in Cincinati where they thought turkeys could fly!

ReplyDeleteC-SPAN is running a call in segment on the confrontation between Douglas "Dr. Rice" Brinkley and Rep. Don Young (R-AK). It is a hoot. Rep. Young is getting very little support. Dr. Brinkley said he has received over 5000 letters in support.

Alice's Restaurant and Palin's Turkey Slaughter, Thanksgiving traditions.
ReplyDeleteAn anonymous source at the turkey farm told me all the turkeys had volunteered to be euthanized after listening to Sarah screech.
ReplyDeleteThe poor birds just could not take it any more.
Friend to Animals great and small?
ReplyDeleteLOL. Never noticed that before.
I don't care what she is talking about, wish she'd just shut up.
Hey, she isn't carrying that Fargo twang in this act of Amnesty.
ReplyDeleteShe is an act. A bad act but worth six figures to some. Go figure.
"So many good Americans desiring. . ."
ReplyDeleteI'm always dumbstruck by her idiosyncratic way of speaking. I can't believe some people find it endearing. Or worth a $100,000 in front of an audience.
gee Sarah why aren't you at the Turkey Trot Race in Tri-Cities today..since your such a fantastic runner and remember you didn't finish the race last time, Oh I forgot that was just another photo op!
ReplyDeleteSilly me, I forgot you can just sit in your "Office of Sarah Palin" and someone can just photoshop you in at the finish line.
ReplyDeleteIt´s so strange seeing sarah in these old clips when she still looked like a female.

This vid is as much a Thanksgiving tradition as "Alice's Restaurant." Not on the same level, you understand, but at least Sister has donated one pop culture holiday classic as part of her "legacy."
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Gryphen!
I love this video. I never get tired of it. Although I do usually turn down the sound part way through. But the timing of some of the words (brutal, chopping block, etc) is perfect enough to put up with the big Turkey up front.
ReplyDeleteShe was stil pretty then.
ReplyDeleteshe is so brutal, she reads from her pardon paper for way to long, just goes on and on, then she must say great appreciation about 15 times, so pathetic
ReplyDeleteLMAO!! This video never gets old. Thanks Gryph.
ReplyDeleteYeap! I know the Holidays have started for me once I view this video. I anticipate seeing it, like I do all the Traditional Christmas cartoons I watched since I was a child, and the Christmas songs playing on my car radio. LOL! Thank you Gryphen, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your wonderful daughter.
ReplyDeleteSarah's two greatest flubs, the "post pardon" tv interview and "The post partum" radio interview.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the memories, Sea Hag!
Happy Thanksgiving to Gryphen, his immediate and extended family and friends, and to the great posters here at IM.
I suspect that this clip will take its place alongside "Scrooge," "Oliver," "It's a Wonderful Life," "Miracle on 34th Street," and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" as part of America's holiday viewing tradition.
