To this day nobody knows what Jared Loughner cites as the reason for his shooting spree.
But we do know who put those crosshairs over Gabby Giffords district, and who was the MOST responsible for the violent rhetoric that we were hearing leading up to that terrible day.
Don't we?
Palin followers always say the Republicans didn't support Palin after the shootings. It has never occurred to them that maybe all those silent people found her Crosshairs map and rhetoric as disgusting and as distasteful as the rest of us regardless of political party.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of Palin's excuse, or the media's excuses for her, her map and
rhetoric were a call to violence.
Is this reason enough, for us to boycott all things Palin?
ReplyDeleteIt is for me.
A heart felt blessing to all the victims and their friends and families.
May something like this never happen again.
Palin free in 2012!
C4P already has their "tribute" up, and of course it defends poor, put-upon Sarah, the true victim in all of it. Not much action in the comments section though, only one so far.
ReplyDeleteThe silver lining in this tragedy is that Gabby and the other survivors will live long productive lives and contribute positively to our world, and Sarah will only be remembered for crosshairs and weirdhairs.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Mark Kelly, Sarah never even picked up her Blackberry to call them after the shooting.
ReplyDeleteMay Sarah rot in hell forever.
Queen Bitch: May you spend this entire day HAUNTED by these people dead, maimed, scarred for life, and the role you played in it. An accessory to murder is what you are. You are the WORST kind of human being, and I hope you SUFFER ten times what you caused.
ReplyDeleteOut, out damned spot.
ReplyDeleteWill these hands ne'er be clean?
Here's the smell of the blood still: all the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand. O, O, O!

Personally, I think Sarah Palin does believe she had something to do with the shootings and it excites her. She is a demagogue who wriggled with glee when peopled followed her lead in openly questioning Obama's motives and morals. She loves the power. it doesn't matter whether or not the shooter was one of her followers. It's enough for Sarah Palin that other people think he was.
ReplyDeleteThe thought that someone might adore her enough to kill for her makes her drool. Plus, there's the added bonus that she could claim to be the real victim. Her incredibly selfish, inhumane Blood Libel speech opened a window into her psychopathy. No sane person would have said those things.
If C4P supports Palin for putting crosshairs on Gabby Giffords, then aren't they "accessories" to Loughner's crimes? From a moral vantage, there is no other conclusion. The world has condemned Palin & her bloodthirsty, racist AIP followers.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Republican, and I went to that Safeway parking lot in Tucson last January to tell Congresswoman Giffords that I disagreed with her position on health care. I never could have imagined the nightmare that followed.
ReplyDeleteSix people were killed and 13 more were shot, including Rep. Gabby Giffords and me. My injuries have healed, but my heart still hurts at the memory of nine-year-old Christina Taylor-Green -- she had her whole life ahead of her before she was brutally murdered.
Today marks one year since the shooting. Please take a minute to watch this video of a few of us who were lucky to survive that day and join us in remembering the friends, family and neighbors we lost.

Will Sara do something today to grab the limelight? I suspect she's sitting up there in the wasilla compound plotting out the various strategies she might employ. It has to be a victim move though, something to grab attention and make people collectively go "Oh poor sawa"
ReplyDeleteGryphen, are you going to post the video of Palins insane look/words on Fox last night? It shows how nuts she is!
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine that I'm sure she heard Mark Kelly say He was disappointed Sarah never called, and STILL she has done nada! A normal decent human would at least send a note.
I agree with the person that said her blood libel video truly showed the world Sarahs psychopathology. And it's shocking that in her sick mind, that was the appropriate response.
Sarah: it's never too late to send words of admiration, support AND regret/humility to Gabby. I know you won't but I still had to say it. You have no class, a cold heart and a severe personality disorder.
Why would Palin say just 2 days ago: "I'm all in favor of girls with guns who know their purpose" in regards to the Sarah McKinley (18 year-old who shot an intruder)? Why would Palin insert herself in this story so close to the anniversary of the Tucson shooting?
ReplyDeleteIs she so merciless and cruel not to see how horrid it was to make glorify guns so close to this day?
She considers this girl a hero because she took a shot at this intruder. No mention of the deceased. No mention of this poor girl's post-trauma and reaction now. The girl's trailer has blood stains that she'll have to clean up and be a reminder of that moment all her life. This girl has a 3 month-old baby and no husband.
Sarah's reactions and her seeming solutions to thing are to just blow up anything that stands in her way. She has no conscience. No wonder Alaskans are afraid to speak up.
@6:26
ReplyDeleteYou're right on the money. Very astute observation.
Jan. 8, 2012 will mark the anniversary of the tragic shooting of 19 people at a Congress on Your Corner event in Tucson.
ReplyDeleteArizona Public Media presents a one-hour documentary, Together We Heal, that explores healing in the aftermath, both individually and as a community, over the past year. For many, grieving and healing have become on-going and consequential parts of their lives.
The program features in-depth interviews with victims and their families, members of Congresswoman Giffords’ staff and the doctors and nurses who treated them.
Watch it in the video window at left.

I'm tweeting out this blog post as well as the one from the other day and youtubes, hoping to bring a small hand of Karma to visit Caribou crosshairs today!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H54zrRD3EXU
I hope this anniversary will totally finish the job that started last year b/c her blood libel whining vid was the beginning of the end of her.
Oh really funny...where are the trolls?
Its strangely quiet.
and another you tube

Hey Sarah, don't show your face outside of your house you pathetic excuse for a human being.
You are a disgusting crazed POS of a person May lady Karma hit you like RAM's Hammer! LOL (thor's Hammer)
Anon 6:26--
ReplyDeleteI think you are right--she loves to be the leader of a lynch mob. According to McGinniss' book, Chuckie was the same way. She learned it well.
I suspect that's why the GOP won't simply toss her aside. They know she will tell embarrassing stories about them. Their best bet is to ignore her. Good thing they own the media in this country.

I feel the same way however how do we know the email was even FROM Caribou Crosshairs?
We have the troll Brooklyn/avocado who could of easily impersonated Palin in a email. None of our stupid msm VETS anything? I bet if SP sent any blogger a email they would damn-well verify it indeed came from her before posting unlike our spineless msm.
I don't believe it was from her, nor the email send to a religious nobody a few months back.
Sarah Palin did you send that email? If so you are stupider than I thought!

OMG, ITA with this. It really describes the monster that Palin is.
On April 1, 2010, author and social activist Marianne Williamson posted this open letter to Sarah Palin on Huffington Post. Today seems a good day to remember Marianne's message, and perhaps the tone deaf ears that refused to listen.
ReplyDelete"In my lifetime, we have lost a President, a Civil Rights leader and a Presidential candidate -- all to gun violence. Another President was shot and survived the ordeal, while his press secretary was paralyzed for life. These are not left-right issues; they are not political correctness issues; they are human issues concerning life and death. I am not suggesting you would pick up a gun and shoot anyone; I am suggesting that there are other people who would, however, and in your position as a leading political figure you are stoking fires -- regardless of your intention -- that are simply too dangerous to be safely stoked."

The similarities between the murderer Loughner and the some of the arrested Alaskan militia plotters have yet to be covered by the media.
ReplyDeleteWhat a disgusting piece of shit Sarah Palin is for putting cross hairs on peoples head. Sarah knows she has ignorant and sick followers.
ReplyDeleteThen Sarah spewed all that rhetoric and hate towards President Obama which was like dangling raw meat in front of a pack of starving hyenas.
We can't forget the other piece of shit John McCain, he didn't stop her so he is partners with Sarah' Tucson shooting spree.
We need to remember John McCain's as well as Sarah Palin's part in this massacre.
Fuck you both Sarah Palin and John McCain!
Bill'O kept saying, "Tiller the baby killer" until someone shot Dr Tiller.
ReplyDeleteLike Sarah, Bill'O is an accessory to murder. Neither pulled the trigger, but both fanned the flames of hate.
Fuck Bill and fuck Sarah.
Twenty-two comments already. Where is the fairytale troll, telling us how immature and unknowledgeable we all are? And how the RILL victim in this is....YKH.
ReplyDeleteAnon 7:52, what do you mean by the similarities??
ReplyDeleteJared wasn't a member of any militia group from what I know. Are you saying he was?
And are you saying he was connected to the Alaskan group?
Can you be clearer or are you just guessing?
He was obsessed with Gabby before Sarahs crosshair maps.
I do despise Sarah and think she is terrible for our country. She incites the worst element in our society.
But Jared is apparently schizophrenic and I wasn't aware he was even in touch with politics.
It's a severe disease and Jan Brewer has cut almost all psychiatric care for the poor here in Arizona. It's a moral disgrace. Millions of homeless ( many vets) with severe psychiatric disorders and zero help,
The zoo animals and desert plants are treated with more respect than the mentally ill here in Arizona. It's like 49 th in the country for mental health treatment. It was much better for awhile, but ole Jan took care of that.
And she had a severely mentally ill son.
So Christian of her!
There is a candlelight vigil at the U of A campus tonight in Tucson. After the gun show. Yes, you read that right. There is a gun show in Tucson today.
ReplyDeleteWe will see if Sarah Palin listens to Roger Aile's commands this time,
ReplyDelete"Sarah last time I told you to shut the fuck up and sit down and you went against my advice. Ya dumb bitch I'm telling you again to STFU and no Blood Libel video this year. And Sarah take all that shit off of the top of your head you look ridiculous!"
I worry about the hate she still inspires in her followers. Within that group, there are the few crazy enough to still think they are her defenders. The GOP is the enemy; anyone who writes anything negative is the enemy; anyone who slights her by not mentioning her in some way as a viable leader in this election is the enemy, etc.
ReplyDeleteSoon, the general election will come around and they will realise that her 'jumping in' isn't going to be possible, and it will be liberals and the President who will be named the enemy. This is a huge fear for me- I worry for the country.

ReplyDeletePHOTO: Gabby Giffords Remembers Parking Spot She Chose On Jan 8th
Mark Kelly, astronaut and husband of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was tragically shot in Arizona back in January, tweets this dramatic image of Gabby pointing out the very spot in which she parked on January 8th.
What a repulsive person Sarah is. To have never contacted the Giffords to offer sympathy and support. Disgusting. She really thinks she's the only victim.
ReplyDeleteGotta call in Shakespeare for this day ...
ReplyDelete"False of heart, light of ear, bloody of hand." King Lear Act III Scene IV
Yep, that's Sarah. And she will FOREVER be known as the person who put crosshairs, NOT surveyor's symbols, over Gabby Gifford's district. I'm glad Gabby got to comment on this before she was mercilessly gunned-down by a crazed right-winger.
When Sarah is finally jailed for her many crimes, she should be forced to watch childhood films (ala Alex from A Clockwork Orange - with eyes clamped open) of all the victims, with heavy emphasis on little Christina Green.
Bless you, Gabby and Mark! You're in our hearts today and always. And Bless our President, who prayed at Gabby's bedside when he could have sent a note or phoned it in ...
Peace, All! OBAMA landslide in November!!
6:26 I agree with everything you said.
ReplyDelete8:20AM (the first one).
ReplyDeleteSTFU! You sound as deranged as Jared. Stop defending that vile piece of shit Satan Palin. Who gives a fuck if the commenter was comparing AIP idiots to Jared!
This is about that POS Satan Palin who TARGETED a Congresswoman and that Congresswoman was SHOT and six other people ended up dead, including a child the same age as her own damn daughter!
I'm so tired of these slick troll comments trying to defend that despicable excuse of a woman! FUCK her and YOU too!
Sarah had called for violence and for 2 1/2 years before the Tucson shooting. She still glorifies guns and violence. Every supporter of Sarah Palin, every Republican and Tea Party member who didn't speak out about Palin before the shooting, shares the guilt.
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin is just as psychotic as Jared Loughner. Every time I hear Palin talking about how close and loving HER family is, I think of the families in Tucson who lost parents, grandparents, spouses, children. In his quest for a position that he wasn't qualified to hold, John McCain unleashed a vile, disgusting, stupid and insane woman on the country. In a quest for the almighty dollar, Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch continue to support her.
Karma. I do believe in Karma.
I changed my facebook profile pic to Gabby Giffords..
ReplyDeleteIn the best interest of the world, let's make today about Gabby, those that were lost and those that survived that horrible day.
Although I do hold Sarah somewhat responsible for her vicious rhetoric, I do not want to even mention her in the same sentence as Gabby Giffords.
Sarah isn't fit to lick Gabby Giffords shoes! Yuck! Well you get my point. It's comparing class to no class, guts to gutless, beautiful inside and out to plain ugly.
ReplyDeleteI could go on, but yes let's not use their names together. I know I just did but never again.
Gabby is a truly brave, positive role model for young women in this country.
The crosshairs and "Take Back The 20" stuff is still on her Facebook.
ReplyDeleteTom Joad, I'm with ya. The problem is that an industry has been built around Sarah Palin.
Anonymous at 2:46 PM - Exactly right, that's why it is still very important to keep up a steady drumbeat of justly deserved hard hitting criticism of Sarah Palin. She is but the representative for all of the other equally vile politicians who have been fanning the flames of violence and hatred against every other group of American citizens except for the white, fundie-christian dominionists.
ReplyDeleteIt is big business, but we need to continue to focus attention on this monstrosity - to make it clear just how dangerous they are. Also, the criticism needs to be so unending that it becomes embarrassing and a liability for anyone to be associated with this platform, to make them know - only the truly unintelligent could believe in this propaganda they put out!
Let's keep shining the light and make that business built around Palin and the others become unprofitable, shameful, and the hall mark of a stupidity that only fools would follow!
It's John McCain's Arizona. They will never take Loughner to trial, and we'll never hear why he did it. You can take that to the bank.
ReplyDelete8:20 AM - You say:
ReplyDelete"He was obsessed with Gabby before Sarahs crosshair maps."
And you also say:
"But Jared is apparently schizophrenic and I wasn't aware he was even in touch with politics."
Which is it, please? Obsessed with the politician or unaware of politics?

Anon 6:17 he had a problem with Gabby before Sarahs crosshairs. When I wrote he was not involved in politics that I know of, what I meant was that we have no idea if he was a Palin fan or a conservative. I have not read the links just posted though, and I will.
ReplyDeleteInteresting about McCains Arizona. Does he have that much clout??? Gabby is a house representative. I guess we shall see.
I watched the links people provided, and to those who were hurt and survived, I wish you all the best. This wasn't your fault, you were innocent victims. Survivor's guilt is hard to overcome. May you find solace and healing knowing others may not fully understand, but we're supporting you in spirit.
ReplyDeleteAnd those who died and their families, my sincere condolences on your loss.
I saw the memorial, and was moved at the planting of the trees in their memory. And seeing Gabby return and remember where she parked the car just made me weep.
What absolutely sickend me was all the coverage of the clown car debate on nbc, and the spotty coverage of the Tucson event.
(whew! I made it though without mentioning Crusty Cue Ball!)
"To this day nobody knows what Jared Loughner cites as the reason for his shooting spree."

ReplyDeleteYou obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about.
You said...
Interesting about McCains Arizona. Does he have that much clout???
He has managed to protect that POS from Wasilla this long, don't you think he would protect that POS in his own STATE?
Involved with militia movements, specifically Alaska's? NO.
ReplyDeleteInfluenced by rhetoric? ABSOLUTELY.
Jared is crazy. He spouted nonsense, posting stuff on Facebook and YouTube. But where did the nonsense come from? Unique individual ideas born independently in this unsophisticated under-educated mind? NO.
He referenced gold and currency; talked about the devaluation of the U.S. dollar. Blamed politicians for something. Targeted a specific politician at a planned publicized event. Implemented and carried out a plan - prepared with a weapon, took a taxi, etc. This man made a statement. No question.
This stuff is hallmark "survivalist", extreme Tea Party views, neo-Nazi, Militia movements and "taking back" America.
He IS crazy. But craziness and influenced to action are not mutually exclusive. And carrying out a plan requires a certain level of function that a profoundly-disturbed decompensating disorganized individual typically wouldn't be able to manage.
Sure, the Tea Party and Militia movements want to put as much distance as they possibly can between their organizations and Jared. Of course they do.
And the gun sights graphic is still on Sarah Palin's Facebook as we speak...
Arizona does not want that half-baked Alaskan anywhere near our state. Hell, Alaska doesn't want her!
ReplyDeleteShe will never live down her part in the Gabby Giffords tragedy here in Arizona. Not all of us in Arizona are gun-totin wackos, although we have more than our share.
Sarah, just move on. Arizona doesn't want you either.
