Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Don't you just love putting things into perspective?
And do you remember how outraged the Republicans were during THOSE unfortunate incidents?
No you don't, because it simply did not bother them one little bit.
But only Barack and only those 4 lives are a personal affront to these seriously deranged people who could give a flip about Ambassador Stevens or any kind of foreign relations.
No, because 4 Americans dead at one embassy under Obama is far worse than 31 at FIVE embassies under Bush the sudden Hero, huh? What a bunch of hypocrites. It reminds me of Gingrich trying to impeach Clinton while he was banging Calista and still married. They can't see the forest for the trees. And they are so desperate to discredit this really fine man it would be funny except they have nom plans to stop and work for the nation. Just when has the GOP EVER worked for anyone other than corporate interests anyway? Come on, trolls, name one US GOP President who did anything for the working class, let alone the poor. There must be one.
Don't be fooled by this political chess game. GOP is trying to position Scott Brown for John Kerry's vacated Senate seat to regain an additional GOP vote on the Senate. They are so obvious.
This is out there but with no follow up in the media. I wish someone would turn to the story of *why* the GOP is determined to waste so many millions of dollars in desperately trying to turn a tragic event in an unstable part of the world into this "huge huge huge conspiracy/cover up bigger than anything the country has ever seen!!!!!!"
Maybe this simple picture will go viral and the story will become 1) Why the double standard, GOP? and 2) What about those other events? Explain the difference NOW! and 3) What part of these investigations take time and delicacy, especially when national security and lives are involved don't you understand? and 4) Is it worth it to lose a few more lives if you achieve your goal of destroying the President?
Yes, of course, as with any similar event it should be investigated and any procedural, budgetary, and personnel issues that might have contributed to either the event happening at all, or how it was handled, should be dealt with.
But I cannot get over the republicans led by Romney screaming coverup hours after a highly confusing and deadly event occurred in a close time frame with a disturbance in another country.
Romney in particular was despicable in sneering at the words and actions of diplomatic personnel using all of their skills and genuine concern for both countries to try to defuse a very precarious situation. And Romney had the unmitigated gall to accuse them of cowardice and lack of patriotism. The coward that never served himself. Of course, he did that in full ignorance of the facts but hey, a few lives that he could use to fuel his campaign.
His utter contempt for the American people he would be charged with protecting as President should have disqualified him right then. Tools to use for his personal gain, that's all they were.
I think it all started because they were trying to distract from Romney's blunder. Now it's taken on a life of its own because they lost and are desperate to destroy Obama. Sad but true.
Rachel Maddow smacked down the defacto foreign policy leader of the Republican Party, Republican Senator John McCain, for being both wrong and incompetent on foreign policy.
After playing a Chris Hayes montage of McCain getting it wrong repeatedly entitled “Arm the Rebels”, Maddow delivered the final blow, “(E)ven if you’re just the opposition, you need to know what you’re talking about. You need to have a basic level of competence. And doing what John McCain says is not a reasonable substitution for basic competence on this subject.”
Whoo HOO! Another one down! Sarah won't like this one bit, but we are SO better off that this blowhard asshole is out of the picture, even though he tries every possible way to weasel his way past the people's votes.
Actually, he looks pretty good for someone who has spent the last two weeks curled up in a corner, sobbing and sucking his thumb and getting bashed over the head by reality.
Oh yeah, Political chess. Disapprove the black lady, get the white guy approved and have Scott Brown run for his Senate seat and gain another GOP vote on the Senate. They think they are smarter than everyone else.
Didn't Condaleeza Rice (sp?) give out misinformation based on what was reported to her? Didn't Colin Powell? Double standards don't work anymore GOP losers.
Great article, Gryphen, do read it in it's entirety.
Desperately Seeking Scandal: the GOP and the motivation behind the Benghazi freakout
So what's going on here? I can sum it up in two words: scandal envy. Republicans are indescribably frustrated by the fact that Barack Obama, whom they regard as both illegitimate and corrupt, went through an entire term without a major scandal. They tried with "Fast and Furious," but that turned out to be small potatoes. They tried with Solyndra, but that didn't produce the criminality they hoped for either. Obama even managed to dole out three-quarters of a trillion dollars in stimulus money without any graft or double-dealing to be found. Nixon had Watergate, Reagan had Iran-Contra, Clinton had Lewinsky, and Barack Obama has gotten off scott-free. This is making them absolutely living and they're going to keep trying to gin up a scandal, even if there's no there there. Benghazi may not be an actual scandal, but it's all they have handy.
What's with the GOP's selective amnesia? They've raised Sir Ronald Reagan to sainthood, and have acted like eight years of Bush/Cheyney world domination bullshit only matters if President Obama references it as causing the disaster of an economy he inherited?
Of course they won't like this! They didn't like it when videos of them saying the President has no control over gas prices, either.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just LOVE rubbing their noses in their own crap?!
A dozen attacks, 60-80 dead.

Who could NOT give a flip.
DeleteHow about 9-11?
ReplyDeleteHow dare you criticize a president in time of war.

I think most of the Republican followers rely on Faux News and talk radio which never states facts only absurd conspiracy theories...
