Russian Tampax commercial.

Okay be honest, is the fact that I laughed at this for almost five minutes make me a bad person?

It does right?

    OMG that is great!
Immediate flashback to getting my first periods the summer of JAWS release.
We were told not to go swimming if you had your period. Sharks can smell it from 10000 miles away. I took my chances but was always nervous.
That is really funny. No you are not a bad person!

Yes---it makes you a bad person. But it makes me worse because I am a woman and I laughed longer than you did.

Some study revealed that kids self-report fearing sharks more than murder, boogeyman, anything else. Even in inland America, where you rarely find a shark on the loose.

Good ad: fear of leaks is a huge fear for women.

Yes, you are a bad person. That's why I'm a devoted reader.

Shark has good taste in picking out women.

Bristol, do you have any idea how many good looking girls are in this world? and you are not one of them.

Sorry, but Bristol could have the BEST body in the world and she would STILL be ugly!

Now we know where the irrational tea party fears begin... Sharknados.

  7. When I was testing for my Open Water Diving certification (back in 1976) it was quietly mentioned that it would be better to wait when our menses was completed for the month before going into the ocean.

The fear wasn't sharks (and yes - JAWS had already come out the summer before) it was Barracuda: long, tube-shaped silvery fish covered with sharp scales and mouthfuls of jagged teeth, topped-off with rotten personalities. They would seek shiny things (so, we'd scrub-down any shiny metal on our SCUBA gear into a "brushed metal" look) - and they could smell a woman's monthly menses.

None of the guys would dive with us girls unless they were *assured* we weren't on our monthly ritual...

Hey Gryphen, just don't go swimming in Sweden or you'll be laughing in soprano after one of those ball-munching fish tries to gum your package. I know a pimp fish-picker that sounds like a little girl.

  9. The commercial is actually from Movie 43.
It was one of the funniest (and raunchiest) movies I've seen in a long time.
Opening bit - Balls on Hugh Jackman's chin.
    Yes, those kind of balls.
    I highly recommend the movie.

And then there was the kid who went to the store to buy Tampax. When asked, he explained that he wanted them for his little brother, who couldn't swim, and he'd read that with Tampax you could swim.

It's called chumming the water. Don't do that when you're *in* the water.

  14. Okay, that's pretty funny.

No way you could get away with that on American TV. Still, pretty funny.
