Last night's hysterical coverage by the Daily Show of the Affordable Care Act roll out. Featuring, by the way, Sarah Palin's old pal Gina Loudon.

Click photo to play video
I have to admit I damn near snorted my wine up through my nose when I realized that it was Gina Loudon speaking for the anti-Obamacare side. Could I really be this lucky, I thought?

Yes, I could. And she was just as dimwitted and uninformed as you could possibly imagine. In fact she is SO ignorant that Jason Jones breaks character to call her out on it.

As many of you remember the last time we talked about Gina Loudon was when she participated in "Wife Swap" back in March. It should also be remembered that she quit the show about halfway through.

Yep, that's a friend of Palin's alright.

What Happens to Conservatism When the Obamacare War Is Over?

Over the last four years, Obamacare swallowed conservatism whole. Where will they go now?

When we look back decades from now, one of the keys to understanding this period in our political history will be the story of how a set of market-based health insurance reforms that started as a proposal from the Heritage Foundation and then were successfully implemented by a Republican governor who later became the GOP presidential nominee, ended up being viewed by virtually all conservatives as not just an abomination but the very essence of statist oppression. Liberals have often expressed wonder or exasperation about the way conservatives changed their opinions about this particular brand of reform. But now that it's driving a government shutdown (and soon a potential default on the debt), we have to acknowledge that it's more than just a policy conservatives hate. The Affordable Care Act is far, far bigger than that. It has become the most important definer of conservatism in America circa 2013. It isn't that conservatives don't still want to cut taxes for the wealthy, or slash the social safety net, or liberate corporations from pesky regulations on worker safety and the environment, or make it impossible for women to get abortions, because they still want all those things. But Obamacare has swallowed conservatism whole.

Gina Loudon must be afraid "Obamacare" will cut in to or expose her "Rent a DS Baby" biz!

    O/T but to be expected

Citizens United to release unflattering film on Hillary Clinton ahead of 2016, no Republican outrage this time

Just ahead of the election in 2016, Conservative group Citizens United plan to move forward with a documentary to be released about Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state. This comes just after CNN and NBC canceled plans to release a miniseries. Citizens United President and chairman, has for sometime now, been at odds with the Clintons. What I’m saying is, he really, really holds some sort of grudge over his own indiscretions being investigated.

Jason Jones is a Canadian citizen, so he's well aware of what health care can be. It was hilarious when he called her out, and it was obvious she didn't even understand what words he was using.

"it was obvious she didn't even understand what words he was using."

I know, right? There were several instances where it was written all over her face as she tried to glean the context of the word. Classic.

I would LOVE to see all the footage that ended up on the cutting room floor!

Yet another example of the way conservative "reasoning" consists entirely of empty condescending platitudes and snarky bumpersticker slogans.

    YAWN, I say.

Jason Jones, even with his breaks from character, exhibited phenomenal self-control. I wanted to see him take his note papers and smack Loudon repeatedly over the head. The evil behind her stupidity and egomania is infuriating.

Gina Loudon. WTF!!! That was the conservative explanation of what is wrong with ACA. Thick on the makeup and thin on the facts. She didn't ride to that interview in a limo...the short bus picked her up. Stupidity is a pre-existing condition, And, you can't fix stupid.

FROM ANDREW SULLIVAN: The tone of this piece is its perfection. The studied civility when talking with complete fanatics, the careful reason when interacting with constitutional know-nothings … it’s like reading Ross Douthat, as the excruciating reality keeps surfacing that his party is a disgrace to the very idea of a political party, more extremist than any in the West save Hungary’s neo-fascists, unteachable and proud of it, a nub of Palin’s id quivering in its fervent frisson of pure vandalism.

Wow, this woman is a Sarah Palin wanna be.
Like Bristol she is mimicking the way Palin speaks, the silly lip licking and eyes squinting while pretending to listen to the questions, etc. The condescending proud dummy.
    It is uncanny.

I didn't know who she was...I gave her a pass for being incredibly stupid, figuring she's attractive enough, that she can cruise through life with no one expecting much in the way of intelligence from her.

Now to find out that she's someone who holds herself out as a political "expert" makes it all the more mindblowing.

She should have quit at the "All I want is world peace and to feed all the hungry children" phase, which most women who look like that, do.

Instead, she comes off like a hateful, total bitch.

    Go kick some puppies, Gina.

What was she looking off camera for during the "up in your vagina" part. a big gulp and a straw? She's got the manjueisms of Baldy! Must have been the "fun girls" at the drive ins and truck stops, they went to see the sukbmarine races, wink wink.

What's "conservative" about Gina? She's got more make up on then every season of Ru Paul's "Drag Race" and enough peroxide in her brunette hair to bleach a dozen vacuous dingbats.
    Typical surgically enhanced assclown.

Any word on a frivolous lawsuit against Stewart yet? That's Gina's second profession!

  24. I can't believe Loudon is a spokesperson for the Republicans. She is a fucking idiot.

No wonder Palin has her as a friend. Probably makes Palin look like a Rhodes scholar. (Look that one up, Sarah. And no, it doesn't mean you went to school in Rhode Island.)

  25. I honestly did not know Gina was a friend of Palin, but during the interview I told my partner "That woman looks like she took fashion tips from Sarah Palin". She looked cheap. I never paid attention to our 1/2 Gov. much, a few times when she wore the worst outfits but during the campaign trail she would consistently be business on the top and she would finish the look with hooker on the bottom. I believed it was the way Wasilla women dressed when going to the big city of Anchorage......without a clue.
