Retired Army general, and Fox News contributor, offers to lead disenfranchised Marines in surrounding White House. In a non-treasonous way of course.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

A retired Army general and Fox News analyst told a Tea Party group that he would lead a military coup against the U.S. government, if only reluctantly.

Paul Vallely, a retired major general and senior military analyst for the conservative news channel, told the Surprise, Arizona, Tea Party Patriots during a Dec. 3 speech that other retired military personnel and veterans groups had contacted him about the possibility.

“I had a call this afternoon from Idaho, the gentleman said, ‘If I give you 250,000 Marines to go to Washington, will you lead them?’” Vallely said as the group laughed and gasped. “I said, ‘Yes, I will, I’ll surround the White House and I’ll surround the Capitol building, but it’s going to take physical presence to do things.”

Yes because there are 250,000 Marines ready to commit treason by marching against this President, and surrounding his residence in a threatening manner.

Seems totally reasonable.

He said such a protest would be a continuation of Tea Party activism.

“The great things the Tea Party did, I mean, they were out there in the community, standing up, being seen,” Vallely said. “They did things, so we’ve got to go based on what the Tea Party has done and elevate it into something and get more younger people involved. So I don’t know how else to do it.”

The retired general has suggested that a new George Washington could be drawn from the ranks of retired military personnel to lead an insurrection because his aims could not be achieved even through this year’s congressional midterm elections.

“I don’t want to be criticized for starting a revolution, but I’d certainly head it if we had to,” Vallely said as the crowd applauded. “We all love a good fight if it’s worth it, right?”

Totally worth it. If you mean by "worth it" that it will result in arrest, embarrassment, and imprisonment.

I swear these Fox News/Tabagger types seem to exist in some kind of alternative universe where if they were to march toward Washington with a contingent of ex-military types that the ranks would grow until they had an army on their side large enough to challenge the might of the US Armed Forces.

Instead what is more likely to happen is that the few elderly veterans in the group would run out of air in their oxygen tanks, or the battery would go dead in their mobility scooters, and they would be forced to drop out before ever reaching their goal, and the handful that did make it would be too out of breath to chant or hold their protest signs aloft.

What a bunch of morons.

It's called sedition and it is illegal, he should be arrested and stripped of all his benefits. I hear Leavenworth is beautiful this time of year.
As thinking for the 250,000 marines are going to commit treason, he is just nuts. The baggers are such a low percentage of our population and yet I am willing to bet in their population they have a very low percentage of vets or active military. They are all cowards, and stupid, kind of like Tawd Palin, no military service, lazy, always looking for "whats in it for them"

This information needs to be sent to the FBI - although I suspect this guy is probably being watched already. I agree, all benefits he has should be taken from him. Bet there are many veterans out there that would love to knock the guys block off - with one good punch!

  5. What this man is suggesting is not sedition, but treason. And he knows that he can be a blowhard because he would not be able to get together 500 vets to do what he described.

According to the Constitution of the United States, which the tea partiers claim to love, he's commiting sedition. If he was contacted about leading a quarter of a million marines to conduct a coup, and he agreed, that's at the very least sedition, if not treason. Arrest him.

  10. So, why isn't this guy being charged with something? I don't get it. We don't need any martyrs but we also don't need to continue having idiots like this former general spouting off treasonous statements. This needs more than just a little visit from the Secret Service.

You know, I could accept ignoring the guy if he was just some blowhard but this dude is a GENRAL. This type of discourse from a high ranking military official? As treasonous as I find his behavior, think about it folks, if we had a trial and even if it went as far as hanging (which he deserves) or jail time...it would create even more divisiveness.

What needs to happen... as tax payers,
lets follow some Tea Party Logic, if there's such a thing...

He should have his military pension taken away...

No fight, no protest, no martyrdom... the dude loses his military benefits, for trying to incite a revolt against our Commander In Chief, who happens to be our democratically elected President!

That was the last insurrection to happen in this country on any large scale and it ended quite badly for everyone - but especially for the secessionists.

    Insurrection, secession, sedition
    are all TREASON.

Sarah Palin Disrespects President Obama with Jealous, Racist SOTU Rant

Sarah Palin was very busy last night. Too busy and important to watch the State of the Union, but she did catch it on her “truck radio” and she’s very concerned about that man in the White House. He’s arrogant and dangerously full of hubris. He dared to act like a President and use presidential powers. Something must be done!

She warned her flock on Facebook today, “We the People” don’t have to be “We the Sheeple” and just get shepherded towards a fundamental transformation that’s against America’s will.” To remedy this horrible, big government intrusion, she says we can elect more Republicans this November. Because if anyone knows how to do nothing while getting paid a lot of money for it and using taxpayer funded health insurance, it’s the GOP.

Yes, Ms. Palin did not watch “the fantasy declaration of ‘utopia’s-on-its-way’”, which is good, because I’m beginning to suspect that she allergic to hope and optimism, so certainly utopia is out.

Listening on her truck radio, she heard what she “forebodingly anticipated.” She was alarmed by the President’s hubris, “But the extreme hubris and naïveté that emanated from that speech was something new and alarming.” It’s as if he is President or something. Uppity Obama.

Palin cited Ronald Reagan and claimed that Obama’s speech “confirms we need rescuing from government like never before.” Who’s gonna rescue us from the “government”? Governmental employees like Republicans. Don’t try to work this out in your head. It works on a bumper sticker and that’s all that matters.

Apparently, Ms. Palin, who had health insurance via her husband’s union at one point and certainly as a governor, even if she did quit, lost her health insurance because of affordable health insurance being made available to everyone else. I think you know who wins in this case, and it’s not you. “In an attempt to “fix” our health care system, government has taken away our health insurance and forced us to buy worse plans we don’t want and can’t afford.”

She worried about the deficit but never mentioned the 24 billion dollars her tea party doppelgänger Republican Senator Ted Cruz cost the country with his shutdown over nothing. And while she hates green energy (she was the most socialist governor in America by the way – she pushed for oil companies to pay citizens for the privilege of using their land), nothing gets her down like amnesty. Obama amnesty.

Speaking of which, while claiming to be concerned with job creation for American workers, our government is trying to ram through amnesty, which will result in a flood of foreign workers competing with Americans for the few jobs there are.

Fear! I tell you fear! They’re coming for your stuff! VOTE GOP in 2014 because they already have your stuff and they want to keep it. They don’t want you getting a piece of the pie before some “foreign worker” comes in to snatch it from you, so it’s best if you just don’t have health insurance at all, and it’s best if Republicans keep obstructing job bills.

Palin is very hot under the collar about Obama’s “arrogance” and “hubris”, which she mentioned yet again in her clearly not over her 2008 defeat tome, “Between the hubris of an executive branch governing by fiat, to the arrogance of believing it can spy on citizens’ communications and unleash the IRS to harass people who happen to disagree with the President, it’s now more important than ever for us to press in and pay attention.”

Yes, pay attention! The IRS investigated liberals and conservatives, but if we ignore the facts, we can feel really scared and sorry for ourselves, which is always a bonus in Palin world. This is leading up to an implied request for money. Are you scared enough yet? (Please don’t ask about Republicans wanting the IRS to investigate rape victims, because we are on a one-way ticket to utopia here and reality does not apply.)

    and more...

GOP Leadership Rips Paul's SOTU Speech As 'Blatant' Self-Promotion

House Republicans are reportedly unhappy with Sen. Rand Paul's decision to give his own response to President Obama's State of the Union address, with a leadership aide ripping the move as "blatant" self-promotion in comments to the Huffington Post.

The aide told the Post that GOP leadership offices were "unhappy" with Paul offering his own response, which competed with the official party reply given by Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and a tea party response from Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT).

The aide lamented that the divided response resulted in stories highlighting the still-apparent fractures within the Republican party. The offices of Paul, Lee and the GOP leadership told the Post that they had not coordinated their strategy in rebutting the president's address.

And, of course, rather than just letting them drop, the liberals will take care of them & make sure they don't die. Because that is one of the ways to distinguish liberals from conservatives - liberals believe that people deserve care & dignity, even if we don't agree with them.
