Yesterday Curt Clawson won the special election to be Florida District 19th's Republican nominee, beating out four challengers.
Among them one of the Grizzled Mama's chosen ones.
This from Slate:
Among the vanquished: State Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto. She'd been endorsed by Sarah Palin, who flown into the district to raise funds for her. She'd been endorsed by Jeb Bush, who cut an ad for her. And she'd attacked Clawson for accepting an "Obamacare bailout," without anyone who edited that ad realizing that they were accusing the guy of taking a bailout in 2009 from a law passed in 2010.
It backfired. Clawson ended up winning 38 percent of the vote, exactly what pollsters had predicted. It's a sort of victory for Tea Party groups; in two weeks, in Nebraska's U.S. Senate primary, the conservative base and its campaign organs have another chance to determine the winner of an open primary.
I think it would be awesome if Palin's losing streak continued, and that every one of her endorsements ended up a flaming wreck like this one, as THAT might finally end any political gravitas that the Right Wing still thinks they perceive in her, AND dry up SarahPAC donations overnight.
However since she made so many endorsements this time around that is a lot to hope for.
Still, she IS Sarah Palin. So the chance that she rolls snake eyes every time, is not entirely out of the question.

What in the hell is all this wailing and breast beating about? Get a grip!
Sarah Palin did not lose a primary in Florida! What Palin did was to give a better chance to Lizbeth! Without Palins endorsement, Lizbeth was not going to make a good showing and instead WITH Palins endorsement, Lizbeth was IN the game!
Listen friends, an endorsement from Sarah does not guarantee a victory but DOES give the endorsee a better chance AT winning! THAT is the nature of endorsements in politics. Any number of 'excuses' can be tendered to 'explain' Lizbeth's loss, but the facts are that her opponent out spent and out organized Lizbeth.
For some reason that I fail to understand, folks seem to think that IF a Palin candidate is NOT the winner, then Sarah Palin herself has lost! Not so!
We all know that politics is a despicable and dirty business and that the best candidate doesn't always win. That has happened again this evening.
UNTIL we as a people REMOVE the influence of special interest money, and the rigged process of elections as controlled by both dem and repub parties, we are going to see quite a few more elections and primaries where the best candidate does not win.
To sum up, IF in every election where Palin endorses a candidate, and that candidate is expected to win, a la Ted Cruz, then there is going to be quite a few disappointed and upset posters here.
If more candidates ran a Ted Cruz high energy and well funded, and highly organized style campaign, then conservatives would have MORE victories.
In the long run, Palin will have many more winners then losers.
Please stop seeing her as some sort of a political superwoman. That is doing her a disservice!
Instead, try to see her for what she is, a politically savvy woman of boundless energy, who has a knack for picking winners! But friends, NO ONE bats 1.000! However, her average is higher then anyone else's has ever been! What is wrong with batting nearly .700!
Of course it was more worthwhile for her to support a losing candidate that it would be for her to support one who wins. And, she quit as governor because staying on would be quitting, and she is no quitter.
DeleteBatting 700 her ass.
DeleteOne of the other "shipmates" adrift in the Sea compared this loss to Churchill at Dunkirk. I know what mu$t motivate the VA cheerleader (wonder if he's having a laff when he types this dribble), but if the rabble still clinging to what's left of the Palin dinghy buy into this crap, they deserve to lose the household pots and pans to the Grifter.
DeleteHOWEVER, if Liz HAD won the primary, then this poor old doofus would be more than happy to give Palin total credit for it, despite the fact that he won't assign a shred of blame to Palin over her endorsee's loss.
DeleteBWAHAHAHAHA, the Virginia Medicare moocher is Senile.
DeleteDelusion and ignorance personified. I would not be at all surprised if Palin (or one of her *ahem* "consultants") penned that particular post.
DeleteUNTIL we as a people REMOVE the influence of special interest money, and the rigged process of elections as controlled by both dem and repub parties, we are going to see quite a few more elections and primaries where the best candidate does not win.

I'll have to reluctantly agree with the old welfare geezer here. This is the common denominator that connects us as Americans. The problem is when some go off the rails when their side doesn't get their way, or the other side doesn't see it their way.
It can't get fixed until we stand together to fix it. Sadly, too many on the "other" side are homophobic, anti-women racists. They don't get "live and let live" unless it's under their rules and beliefs. I seriously have doubts we will be healed as a country for many many years, if ever.
That olg guy @6:05 quotes...he worships someone with an IQ of 83. What's his IQ -70?
DeleteI seriously doubt Palin has a higher IQ than 50! She's slow, not smart and only street worthy and evil through and through.
Deletehttp://www.naplesnews.com/news/2014/apr/02/lizbeth-benacquisto-sarah-palin-fundraiser-voters/
DeleteThe comments here tell a different story mr "not a gentleman". The endorsement from crossed eyed grifter cost Benacquisto more than a few votes.
DeleteOct 16, 2013 NJ Palin endoresee Steve Lonegan loses by 9 points to Cary Booker.
Apr 22, 2014 FL Palin endorsed another loser, Lizbeth Benacquisto, in FL Senate race.
Next loss: Karen Handel in GA 5/20/14
Sarah Palin - Democratic Party's best friend.
Oops, I forgot that Sarah also endorsed and campaigned for Tea Party Candidate Katrina Pierson, who lost to Pete Sessions in a landslide 64% to 36%.
DeleteAn IQ of 50 is at upper end of moderately retarded. 83 sounds just about right:
Delete"80-89. Above the threshold for normal independent functioning. Can perform explicit routinized hands-on tasks without supervision as long as there are no moments of choice and it is always clear what has to be done. Assembler, food service.
This is also the I.Q. range most associated with violence. Most violent crime is committed by males from this range. This does not imply that all males in this range are violent, nor that all violent males are in this range. But when the modal I.Q. of a group is in this range, one may expect trouble with with many male members of that group."
(Note that dumb females can be violent as well, and charismatic dumb females can surely excel at inciting violence among dumb males.)

Was that you Palin, posing as "virginiagetleman11" on your facebook, to write positive s#$t and such and get paid for "postage" at the same time.
DeleteI don't think she cares whether her "picks" win or lose. She probably never even heard of these people until she got her marching orders. She had to make more contributions this year to justify her PAC. She's a fraud, a complete fraud.
ReplyDeleteHow true
DeleteI completely agree with you. It's all about getting paid. Dumbasses that send their money to her PAC deserve to be hoodwinked by Queen Grifter.
DeleteNotice she's only wearing one glove....and no hair net..ewwwwww! She is so grotesque.
ReplyDeleteShe's also waving that filthy Tyranny bracelet over the poop soup she's serving.
DeleteHer last 3 candidates lost in New Jersey, recently in Texas, and last night in Florida. That's called "losing", not winning. Although, in a way, she did "win" in the race for personal publicity which may be the goal anyway.
ReplyDeleteNo: She is winning the race for personal ridicule (quite handily, I might add.)
DeleteHas Karen Handel lost yet?
DeleteIf so, Sarah's now 0- 4. Yeah, using Palin Math, that's about .700, huh?
Three words: Ha. Ha. Ha.
ReplyDeleteSarah's fans' comments indicate that Sarah only endorses people who ask her to endorse them. What we don't know is what goes on behind the scenes. Did Sarah (excuse me, Tim Crawford) send out a blanket email to potential candidates to endorse? Maybe it was the stipulation that they candidate pay for Sarah's transportation, hotel, incidental expenses, and give her a plum speaking spot with photo coverage? When Sarah was governor she had a special form on the Alaska State website "request the governor to speak," which included a box to check off that would include inviting the Palin family. (That meant paying for the Palin family's travel, too).
ReplyDeleteSarah's fans dislike Bush, calling him an establishment Republican. What a curse. Jeb and Huckabee also endorse Lizabeth and now the fans are blaming them for her loss. Huh? Maybe it was Sarah's appearance at that skimpy BBQ. Or maybe Lizabeth wasn't such a good candidate.
Most in the USA have figured out that Sarah Palin is the 'kiss of death' in whomever she endorses.
DeletePlus, she's a proven fraud, liar, uneducated, a quitter and inept! Can't get any better than that! Haha!
Sarah supports Koch Brothers candidates. If the candidate is financed by AFP, Sarah is told to endorse the candidate. If the Kochsuckers do not have an interest in a particular race, Sarah might freelance by selling her services in her own. Otherwise, she endorses the candidate she is told to endorse and campaign for. Sarah is an idiot and does no independent research on her own as she claims. Sarah is merely a pawn and a political shill for the Kochs.
DeleteTIMBERRRRRRR
ReplyDeleteLMAO!
Delete"Listen friends, an endorsement from Sarah does not guarantee a victory but DOES give the endorsee a better chance AT winning!"
ReplyDelete-Sarah Palin's Ass Wipe
Tell that to John McCain who was slaughtered in 2008
Tell that to Iron Dog Todd Palin who was the first one to quit
Tell that to Willow Palin who quit high school
Want me to go on?
I guess now we know why she only tosses these turds $5K each: She knows they don't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Slush fund loss leaders is all they are.
ReplyDeleteThat's right. When they lose, Sarah can't be completely blamed because they didn't have a chance in the first place.
DeleteShe can't give more than $5K. That's the maximum allowed by law.
Deletehttp://www.fec.gov/pages/brochures/contriblimits.shtml
DeleteShe picks losers because she is a loser. I just took a look back to the stories about her "campaigning" in past elections.. She and her people were completely incompetent. She would not commit in advance, she refused to help raise money, she screwed campaigns over and over. She is actually too stupid to run a political organization, and so is attracted to similarly incompetent types: Katrina Pierson the shoplifter, that awful guy in NJ, Bencquisto, the animal castrator from Iowa, Karen Handel the Komen Fund destroyer in Georgia. Every one an incompetent loser. Just like Palin.
ReplyDeleteThat's our Sarah Palin
DeleteThe guy in NJ, Lonegan, is running again, this time for Congress. I'd like Palin to explain why she no longer supports him. How can anyone trust her endorsements?
DeleteThe Coming Clinton Economic Boom
ReplyDeleteHillary Clinton should thank Barack Obama for beating her in 2008. Every day.
Not only does the former first lady and U.S. Secretary of State appear as well-positioned as any candidate to capture the presidency in 2016, but her arrival in the Oval Office could well coincide with headwinds that the U.S. economy has not seen since, well, the last time a Clinton occupied the White House.
Are we getting ahead of ourselves? Absolutely. A lot can happen in three years, but there’s one scenario for 2017 that should be staring all would-be prognosticators in the face: The very real possibility of another Clinton economic boom like the U.S. experienced in the 1990s.
Here are five key economic and political trends that should leave Camp Clinton giddy — and the GOP scared out of its mind — when it comes to the next presidential election.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/23/hillary-clinton_n_5197589.html
That f'ing Sarah Palin is probably praying that our economy will collapse before the next presidential election.
DeleteShe is bound to get a few candidates right. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
ReplyDeleteI think that she needs to endorse candidates and spend some money doing so in order to maintain her PAC. Otherwise, it is just paying for the expenses of raising money, "postage," and travel to promote Sarah's book.
ReplyDeleteAgree 8:07. Also, Sarah is trying to show folks that she is still relevant in the world of politics, even though the GOP and now the Tea Party largely ignore her. Palin ruined any chance of future political influence when she quit the governorship to escape the ethics scandals headed her way and pursue TV stardom. Sarah's endorsements are all about drawing attention to herself (she'll never get enough), obeying her handlers and grifting money to support her lifestyle and lazy family.
DeleteFuck Sarah Palin
ReplyDeleteEeeew! No thanks. Sarah Painintheass can just fuck herself.
DeletePalin didn't bring out her NY boobs for the above photo op!
ReplyDeleteShe's such a fraud!
She didn't forget her Bucky Beaver teeth. What's up with that.
DeleteHoped she washed her stanky coochie.
Deletenew veneers, you know she never springs for the best of anything. If she did we wouldn't even know she wears wigs...
Deletethe crosseyed skank's 110% pure whitetrash
DeleteMaybe the Koch Brothers are paying her to endorse the candidates they know will lose. Maybe they know everyone will vote against a Sarah endorsement. She thinks she's there to get her girl to win, but her paid bosses are use her as the deterrent.
ReplyDeleteIf she's being paid by them, she may not realize she's being used as the King-dethroner, rather than a Kingmaker. The Kochs and Tea Party big wigs already have their chosen men and women in their sights, and Clawson was probably their man.
the Kochs intended to win, making her (Sarah) appear to be the political death knell girl.
It's a cinch; pay the 'irrelevant' one who thinks she's the 'undefeated', and get her to fly in, interfere in a State's affairs, endorse the least likely to win candidate and have voters 'gag' over her hubris, so that they'll vote for the Koch-ready man/woman.
She doesn't even realize it.
Ya think? I was thinking that someone has been picking crazy candidates for Palin, too. On the other hand, Jeb Bush and Mike Huckabee also endorse Lizabeth. hmmmmmm
DeleteGood, her choice lost and she lost money!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo Gryphen......her plastic surgery cheek implants are on display! I never gave it much thought before, but if you do a google image search it's unmistakable. The candidate also too looks like she indulged in a little "help".
ReplyDeleteIt just further confirms her phoniness.
But, but, how can a bespectacled brunette mama-grizzly lose? How? They dished ril BBQ to ril 'Mericans with their ginormous hands.
ReplyDeleteThese tea party patriots need to be exposed for what they represent. A threat to OUR democracy and way of life. The Palins and their followers expose ideas that are founded in sedition and treason. They don't represent we the people, they represent those that want to destroy all that the "founding fathers" created. They want a revolution. I think it is time to give them what they want, and let them reap the consequences of their talk. When the revolution comes, Sarah, I'll be "up front with my nine in the air, and my finger on the trigger of my 12 gauge pump". You betcha. The real patriots are what years ago were labeled the silent majority. I have a sense that the squeaky wheel will soon get the grease. Quit waiting, fire the first shot, bitches. Sarah will be cheering her ragtag disease infected army of vermin on, while hiding behind her face book page, fleecing them of their last welfare check. I've had too much caffeine this morning, I'm pissed. And I don't believe I am the only one.
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin has as much luck with her endorsements as she has trying to keep her daughters from getting Pregnant without husbands, and trying to keep her son from using drugs. Sarah Palin is the Queen of Losers.
ReplyDeleteWTH is up with her mouth? Reminds me of a tune kids sang in my teen years:
ReplyDeleteI'm a beaver, you're a beaver
We are beavers all
And when we get together
We give our beaver call!
(mouth sucking teeth noises)
Same expression, same hands motions.
Pardon the immaturity.
HOW old are you $arah?
You made me spit on my computer laughing. Thanks, I needed the humor break.
DeleteLMAO...loll....i'm laughing so hard I can't even type! good one!
DeleteJackie Kennedy's observation that "If you bungle raising your children, I don't think whatever else you do matters very much." is spot on.
ReplyDeleteSarah, you have a chance to go home and do a better job with the rest of your kids, please do and leave the politics to the people who actually care about the U.S. and its future. Enough of your celebrity grandstanding and grifting. Go home, raise up Piper and Trig with some passion and commitment. Show us you are a better person than your past performance.
Sarah go home
Delete-Piper
That ship, sadly, sailed years ago.
DeleteOh, Lizbeth, Sarah isn't into you, she'd endorse chlamydia just to get her name out there.
ReplyDeleteThey flew her and her Klan all the way to Florida to support Lizbeth...How did that work out for ya Lizbeth...lol
ReplyDeleteHey, is Lizbeth married to Cruz? her daughter is the spiting image of Ted Cruz.
Palin totally looks like an ugly old puppet in that picture. Like one of those puppets from horror movies. ewwwwww
ReplyDelete"The first of Sarah Palin's 2014 political endorsees goes down in flames"
ReplyDeleteGoose: Good shot Maverick.
(The real Maverick, not the village idiot of Wasilla.)
