Mitt Romney declares that he is thinking about, possibly, deciding at some time to, maybe, run for President in 2016.

Courtesy of Politico:

Mitt Romney told a group of longtime supporters on Friday that he is considering running for president, a major turnaround for a past GOP nominee who just a year ago categorically ruled out a 2016 run.

If he follows through, it would be Romney’s third White House campaign, and it would shake up the already large field of Republicans eyeing the presidency. But even many Romney supporters are skeptical he will ultimately jump in and risk losing three times.

“Everybody in here can go tell your friends that I’m considering a run,” Romney said at a private meeting in New York with about 30 former donors, according to one source.

Wow, Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush in the same race?

Can't you just fell the excitzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I'm sorry I drifted off, what were we talking about?

I know. Public figures should never ever allow themselves to be photographed eating -- anything. It's usually a very unflattering picture no matter the food.

Just a hint yesterday of Mittens running in 2016 made Sarah Palin lose her political erection.

I wonder if Willard the Weasel can emotionally handle three strikes? Certainly his wife, the ever-entitled "it's our turn" what's 'er name, wouldn't like it. To make matters even worse, what if his closeted son finally finds the courage to come out -- or is outed involuntarily?

Speculation aside, I welcome his candidacy. I worked against him before, I will do so again. Mitt is not destined to be our President.

Never underestimate the idiocy of a rich man who can't see all of those "yes" men egging him on are salivating for jobs and giggling behind his back.

Also, Ann can't get over the fact that it was obviously not "their turn".

Hillary has so much more going for her as a candidate than do any of the Republicans clamoring to get in the race!

Remember, the Republicans have been knocking Hillary constantly for the past couple of years to make Americans think less of her. They obviously are afraid of her!

I don't know why she'd want to run with all the crap that Democrats have to put up with, but I hope she does. She'd be the first woman elected and has far, far more experience for the position of POTUS.

Plus, I think it would be a kick in the butt having two President Clintons in the White House. Bill Clinton is loved and respected around the world today. They truly are a dynamic couple with an outstanding daughter!

All true. A while ago I read that Rmoney called all the big donors together and told them he WOULD run Only if they pledged their donations to him and noone else!! Sounds like an idea that Queen Ane would have. What a farce both these people are. Milquetoast Willard is a pantywaist.

@9:47 When Romney meets with the big donors, I wonder if he will remember to keep his big mouth shut-- or screen the people who mix and serve the drinks. If he was dumb enough to put a dog on the roof of his car, and then defend the action by saying that the dog liked it, he is dumb enough to made another 47% remark.

(When I say dumb enough, I mean that he lacks any sense of self awareness about how most people see him or hear what he is saying-- much like Sarah Palin, who is still defending Trig standing on the dog.)

Queen Anne of the dancing horse. Looks like she sucked on lemons. Rmoney and his family made mucho dinero from that last run. Then, after conceding, he cancelled the credit cards for campaign workers. Some people had no money to get home on.

Don't forget Queen Ann's "We've told you people everything you need to know" and "If women knew what was good for them, they would vote for Mitt" and "You're lucky to have him as a candidate." (Those might not be exact quotes, but that was the gist.) Both of them have spent their lives in such a wealthy bubble that they don't even realize how condescending, clueless, and entitled they sound to the rest of us--or that doing so alienates voters.

I just found this 2012 gem about why female voters LOVE Romney. (Hint: Because his wife is "beautiful and intelligent." This is from a Harvard nanophysicist who sounds about as sophisticated as Rush Limbaugh in his understanding of women.) Enjoy!

I would respectfully disagree with some of the comments here. Remember that Romney vetted Ryan, Christie and others for VP and Christie did not pass the vetting (and now has bridgegate to contend with). The other parts of the GOP clown car will have their dirty laundry aired for the first time and it will have a shock value -- but we know all Mitt's crap already so it has less shock value, they won't be so blindsided by it and can plan better. I think Romney can neutralize the clown car with his inside info and with his sense of entitlement that he will run again. We underestimate him at our peril.

I certainly hope Hilary runs and wins, but her age, health issues, past scandals, made up current scandals, general misogyny, some uncomfortable Clinton Foundation ties and Bill's ego getting in the way, GOP dirty tricks and voter suppression I think it will be a real challenge for her. We underestimate the challenges she faces at our peril.

    We must stay vigilant.

I just read that Carly Fiorina has suddenly become a critic of income inequality. This is the same woman who laid off thousands of HP employees, outsourced business overseas, and nearly ran the company into the ground.

She and Mitt seem to think that they're entitled to be crowned with any title they desire and that their past business history, which destroyed thousands of lives, will magically be forgiven and forgotten.

They also seem to keep forgetting that vast quantities of digital, video and audio records of their past comments and business practices continue to exist.

Sorry, Mitt, but you're no less arrogant, phony, cold, and detached than you were 4 years ago. And now we've got even more proof of those qualities from your own mouth.

Oh, he's running. I knew as soon as they (collectively, the family) adopted that black baby. That was to block anyone during a future Presidential run from accusing him of being a racist, or using the whole Mormon thing against him (Mormons were historically and notoriously racist against blacks until the 1980's, when Romney was in his forties. There's no evidence that he ever spoke out against that policy.)

Of course, it would be too blatantly obvious for Mitt and Queen Ann to adopt a black baby, so they got one of their five sons to do it. And, mind you, they didn't just adopt ANY old run of the mill black baby. They adopted the blackest one they could find.

There. Somebody had to say it. And, yes, I do think the Romneys are just that depraved and just that "entitled." Nothing but unethical assholes, all of them.

So the question becomes would Rubio or Cruz or Walker be willing to take second place on the ticket?

I don't see ANY of the Republican wannabees being willing to give up the top spot and accept VP. They all have egos too big to concede to the others.

The biggest weakness of the Republican candidates is hubris. Unfortunately, instead of choosing the candidate with the least, they always seem to go with the one with the most.
