Bristol Palin just got some support from her nemesis -- the baby daddy fighting her in a nasty custody war ... former fiance, Levi Johnston.
It's a strange twist. Levi, who shares 6-year-old Tripp with Palin, tells TMZ he and wife Sunny are going to do what they can to help raise her new kid. He says she's "a great mom."
And get this ... Levi says he's sorry for Bristol's string of bad luck, specifically mentioning the fact she called off her wedding.
As for the whole kid out of wedlock thing, Levi says waiting to have kids until the parents tie the knot is the way to go, but he understands things happen ... they happened to him.
TMZ goes on to say that Levi's words are strange for a guy still fighting Bristol for custody, but then again that could be exactly why he is not piling on.
Or it could just be that he is really a nice guy, and that everything negative people hear about him were lies told by a hateful ex-girlfriend, and her even more hateful mother.
From everything I have ever heard about Levi from people who know him is that he is a stand up guy who works hard, loves his family, and just wants to live a simple life in the town where he grew up.
On the other hand the things I hear about Bristol are the kinds of things that make you want to take a very hot shower, and scrub, and scrub until your skin is raw and you cannot scrub anymore.
Levi knows that keeping Bristol calm and happy can only help Tripp. He wants his son to have a mother who's paying attention to her children.

She thought she would be voted off right away (did the DWTS to please mommy dearest because Bristol "owed" her momma for costing her the VP job) but then Sarah's flying monkeys tinkered with the voting rules and kept Bristol on for nine more episodes. When she stayed beyond her "use by date" we got to see Bristol's pregnancy progress until she could no longer fit in her costumes. That is what is so maddening, nobody on the show would talk about it! That is how much power the Palins wielded at the time.

I think it's a "smart move" but I also think that he genuinely cares about Tripp and wants the best for him. This is a sticky situation for Levi and his wife but I think they are handling it very maturely.

I've read there may be a rift, I certainly hope not. Not at this time. It would be a postive for Bristol to have the encouragement and positive influence. May there soon be positive news about Bristol returing to work.
Most of all it would be positive if Bristol can step back from all Sarah has put her through. Is Sarah going to support her daughter? Sarah's concept of work is like the ridiculous TV disasters. What do you mean "returning to work"?? No job allows employees to take off for months at a time to film reality shows, then welcomes them back. Bristles has no idea what a JOB is, least of all a full time job. If there is a rift between Maria and Bristles, maybe it is because of a boyfriend? DeleteAfter the baby is born, there's plenty of time to request/demand DNA testing to prove who the father is. It's quite possible that Bristol, Dakota and Joey don't know at this time. DeleteLevi is not even a social media addict. It is not his baby and he is not a potential baby daddy. He was asked about Bristol and he gave a statement.
Bristol is into social media communications and she left everyone with a mystery. Duh, yeah media will be asking the prime players in this and the suspects. Bristol, fetus and all involved are not special people to be given special treatment.
Dakota and Joey can be asked about other things as well, it is not just about who is the dad? They did not ask Levi who he thought the dad was. They will ask Dakota and Joey due to their part and their more recent relationship.
The ball was in Bristol's court and she dropped it. She left with implications in regard to men. How many men? It could be many or only a few more. Only two names of the men she was having sex with are known. Her other sex partners are unknown. They may not even recall they had sex with her if it was a drunken orgy.

Had she been honest about slutty behaviors, the reveals would not call for there to be more information about the facts. She would be the person she claimed to be and that would be that.
Bristol is the one selling herself as the writer of a religious blog, the abstinence pledge, family values and so on.
Now she has been caught in her deceptions. She is also bringing another being into that negative world. Will that being be safe and cared for? Can she learn to respect family values and not just use it to sell her product? Since Bristol has outed herself as a liar, a fraud, a hypocrite with shady and questionable morals and sex issues... can she be the good mother she wants people to think she is? What danger is this baby in? What kind of father did she plan for her latest unwed pregnancy?
Will the father be able to look after the child if Bristol proves to be incapable and a bigger liar then is now known?
The unknown father is important to know about.
If it is Joey, is he ready to be a parent? Is Dakota too busy or will he leave Bristol alone and with more responsibility then she can handle? If it is someone from the Mugshot, is the child in danger of being with a drug dealer or something like that? Does she have to hide and deceive because the father is so low life?
Bristol created a situation with a million questions about her new baby's well being and safety. Bristol created the mystery.
Her parents have abandoned her. Will both Dakota and Joey abandon her? Why? That indicates Bristol and the baby are in a bad way.
It would make more sense and not so much concern and questioning if those near to Bristol behave reasonably and like adults. Take Levi's example for instance. He stepped up. He doesn't have anything to hide.
No one knows if Bristol's best friend has been asked her latest news. You would think that Marina Lupas would be sharing Bristol's "blessing" and someone happy to talk about that part of this.
Not even Marina is expressing any joy or support for Bristol.
Something is very wrong.
I also think that Levi really feels sorry for Bristol. He knew Bristol as a teenager, when her parents were never around and Bristol was a lost girl. He saw what it was like in the Palin household when the kids had to fend for themselves even as Sarah bragged about what a great mom she was. Who knows what other secrets and lies and parental bad behavior Levi was privy to during the time he was dating Bristol.

Tripp will someday be grateful that he had one parent who refused to play out the custody fight in public. If Levi takes the high road in private, too, that's even better for Tripp.
DeleteBesides, the best way Levi can let Tripp know that Bristol's behavior isn't okay isn't by what he says -- I hope he doesn't tell his son, "Your mom is doing a lousy job" -- but by what he does. Modeling a committed, loving relationship with Sunny, a relationship that has survived difficult times because both people involved are dedicated to making it work, will give his son a standard of what healthy adult behavior looks like. And then Tripp can and will draw his own conclusions about his mom.

Levi has been a good guy all through the years. He was a kid when he got mixed up with Bristol and he handled it all the best that he could at the time. He found Sunny, they have built a good life. When the media comes calling, he doesn't run, he expresses love for Tripp and concern for Bristol. There's nothing to criticize him for.

He has transformed into a mature respected young family man for his family and community, he works, pays his taxes, provides for his kids in a stable environment, and he and Sunny show more integrity in their little finger than poor Bristol in her whole being.
ReplyDeleteNot to be hard on Bristol here. She's been through a ringer all her life. But she and Levi both had two choices in the aftermath of Sarah and Todd's governorship and the 2008 election: to become bitter or better. I believe Bristol chose the first and Levi the second.
And life isn't a competition either, which Bristol and the Palin brand try it out to be. Just because Levi has shaken off the old and lives in the new, it burns the Palins britches so much because they can't stand to see others have peace of mind, and control in their life, and accept the things they can't change. This kind of quietude in their enemies drives them bonkers. The Palins don't like to see others living the right way. Just because they live in constant torment in their own souls and hate and entertain a spirit of divisiveness in their own lives, they need to spread it to others and when others refuse to live by hate, the Palins suffer until they can try to use their power to make these others suffer. This is all about Bristol trying to 'punish' Levi. Her vendetta isn't about him so much as it's about wanting to see the victors suffer. She knows she's not a victor and is trapped in her mind of self-pity, and she chooses to simmer in her own juices rather than stop it, get out of it, and be a 'better' person.
I believe Levi is showing the Palins a true christian example and good role model for Tripp.

And of course there's Dakota, who Bristol seems to suggest is this kid's baby daddy. Not a word for him either. Though something tells me $arah made him sign some sort of nondisclosure agreement when the engagement went south. So his hands might be tied.
Either way, kudos to Levi for taking the high road. I think he's just doing this for Tripp's benefit. The poor kid is suffering so much already being around the Palins.
If he did sign an agreement, it could be voided if they try to make him pay for support. They probably won't and will suck it up to their own support.

No shock to those of us following the Palin saga for years. This is probably her 3rd or 4th child.... She exhibits a repeat behavior.. she has unprotected sex... it is what she does... NOW this makes me go back and take a closer look at babygate and realize something new.... the "Paxton" angle... Maybe, just maybe, BP is Trig's mom after all and Paxton offered them money for Trig's care so that he would stay in the family and be used as the election prop we understood him to be for SP... Trig's cuteness and humanity were secondary for SP & Co.
BTW: I have learned to absolutely IGNORE any and all dates given by the Palins for anyone's birthday - sooo let's forget about April 18 this and December 28 that... those dates are all lies, dross, nonsense....

I submit my list of 8 examples of anti-heterosexual male (referred to here as "HMs") sentiment and activity:
1. The war on rape which has all but taken the fun out of dating on many college campuses and in professional sports.
2. The war on fraternity hazing which has eliminated an important bonding ritual where HMs got to channel their competitive natures and raging hormones into "testing" each other physically and only occasionally killing someone.
3. The war on war which threatens to deprive HMs of their right to build really big machines and fancy technology to blow things up and get medals and awards just like they used to in Eagle Scouts.

5. Constant picking on HMs by the media - and not on gay men or women (except for Hillary Clinton).
6. Same sex marriage which calls to mind men having sex with each other and makes HMs really really uncomfortable.
7. The decline of great television shows like "Combat", "Dukes of Hazard", and "Father Knows Best" and the popularity of anything starring Nathan Lane.
8. The vulnerability of HMs who are admonished not to punch and kick each other while women and gay men get to cry and act like babies and no one ever says anything. It's not fair!!
Seriously, Christians and heterosexual men have been at the top of the food chain in this country until just recently when the sensitivities, beliefs, and concerns of women, gay people, and non-Christians were finally taken into consideration. What now feels like "discrimination" to those who once had everything their own way might be simply a leveling of the playing field and a movement toward an environment where fewer of us have to go along with programs we don't believe in.

Maybe no media has asked him but if they have it would make him look better if he did make or have someone represent him with a statement. Public figures usually follow social protocol for their station in life. I had thought he had ambitions and wanted to move up in life.

Dakota does not care for Tripp like, his father, Levi does. Levi wants to be a man, he loves his family and son. He wants to be a father and a good citizen.
DeleteDakota does not need to love or do anything for the sake of Tripp or a baby. Dakota needs not be in a mess where he could be asked for child support, that is his main loyalty. Tripp and respecting Tripp's mother is not Dakota's obligation. Tripp has nothing to do with Dakota now if that is the way they all want it to be. He probably knows he is not the other baby father. So he doesn't need to do anything for that kid either.
Dakota can do what he wants for as long as he wants. Who knows he may be trying to write something right now to show some support. Who knows? I bet if he is, he will have it out in a few days.
Meanwhile, July 3 will be here soon. Sarah has a $10 bill contest or something to celebrate. Others will be celebrating the day she became The Quitter. Remember at one time she was the governor of a state? She is standing with Dakota on how to handle Bristol's situation and that works for both of them. ReplyDeleteJust my pre tax .02 cents. Levi and his entire family have always had class, they handled themselves with dignity when everyone was dumping on them in the media. He's kept a low profile, grew and matured, learned a lot along the way and it shows. Yeah, he made a few mistakes, like the two swindlers who gave him bad advice early on. He obviously loves Tripp enough to never speak an unkind word about his mother, and he's tried his best to be the best father Bristol would allow him to be, despite everything she wrote and said about him.
