A great day! Add your name if you agree: Affordable health care is a basic human right → http://t.co/5xR3n1XDoc pic.twitter.com/kATncnkfGq
— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) June 25, 2015
However her opponents on the other side of the aisle are not quite as jubilant.(Statements courtesy of HuffPo)
Jeb Bush:
I am disappointed by today’s Supreme Court ruling in the King v. Burwell case. But this decision is not the end of the fight against Obamacare.
This fatally-flawed law imposes job-killing mandates, causes spending in Washington to skyrocket by $1.7 trillion, raises taxes by $1 trillion and drives up health care costs. Instead of fixing our health care system, it made the problems worse.
Aww, Jebbie's got the sads.
And he is by no means alone.
Marco Rubio:
I disagree with the Court’s ruling and believe they have once again erred in trying to correct the mistakes made by President Obama and Congress in forcing Obamacare on the American people."
“Despite the Court’s decision, ObamaCare is still a bad law that is having a negative impact on our country and on millions of Americans. I remain committed to repealing this bad law and replacing it with my consumer-centered plan that puts patients and families back in control of their health care decisions. We need Consumer Care, not ObamaCare.
Rand Paul:
This decision turns both the rule of law and common sense on its head. Obamacare raises taxes, harms patients and doctors, and is the wrong fix for America's health care system.
Rick Perry:
The Obama Administration has ignored the text of the Affordable Care Act time and again, and today’s ruling allows them to continue to disregard the letter of the law. While I disagree with the ruling, it was never up to the Supreme Court to save us from Obamacare. We need leadership in the White House that recognizes the folly of having to pass a bill to know what’s in it. We need leadership that understands a heavy-handed, one-size-fits-all policy does nothing to help health outcomes for Americans.
With individual premiums up more than 50 percent and nearly 5 million people losing their health plans, Americans deserve better than what we’re getting with Obamacare. It’s time we repealed Obamacare and replaced it with truly affordable, patient centered-health care reform, and I look forward to laying out my ideas on this issue.
(That's all bullshit by the way.)
There were also tweeted responses from the clown car:
#ObamaCare ruling is judicial tyranny. http://t.co/Di6WjxOc3y
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) June 25, 2015
Deeply disappointed by #SCOTUS ruling. Fundamental increase of govt control. I'm working to ensure next Pres repeals and replaces #Obamacare
— Dr. Ben Carson (@RealBenCarson) June 25, 2015
Today's Supreme Court ruling is another reminder that if we want to get rid of #Obamacare, we must elect a conservative President #RICK2016
— Rick Santorum (@RickSantorum) June 25, 2015
And what Santorum said should be a lesson to Progressives that they must all turn out to vote in order to ensure that the next Supreme Court Justices selected are not Right Wing lunatics like Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas. Speaking of Scalia here are some not to be missed portions of his dissent on this ruling. (I especially like the "jiggery-pokery" line.)
All in all with this, and Bristol's admission that she is pregnant, it has been a pretty damn good day for your friendly neighborhood blogger.
And for this friendly neighborhood blogger's readers. Thanks Gryph and thanks fellow readers.
ReplyDeleteYes, What a day! The republic's what to repeal and replace Obama Care with.... what? "Die Quicker"???? If they want to be taken seriously, come up with something, anything (except Ayn Rand) and lay it out piece by piece. Or, at the very least, come up with ideas to make it better. They sound like a tribe of whining lunatics. Had to laugh, Bristol HAD to have "Jiggery Poked" before Chief Justice Anonin Scalia used the term. Call it whatever you want, Justice, Scotus Care, scrotum care, we don't care. It's The Affordable Care Act" named "Obamacare" by the republics. He just used it as a badge of honor.
ReplyDeleteAnita, I remember seeing somewhere on the net that the Rethugs want to privatize healthcare.
DeleteThey want to privatize the country. There is,a,terrifying article at Politucus.
DeleteYes Gryphen it is a great day! It's Christmas, your birthday, and the last day of school all rolled into one!
ReplyDeleteIt's Gryph's birthday?
DeleteThen by all means:

The Republican clown car are idiots and could care less about Americans - especially the poor! They make me sick to my stomach with their commentary!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Supreme Court! Another win for President Obama! He's having a beautiful week!
As to Bristol - she is a product of her mother and father! So what else would we expect? I also think she has a mental deficiency much the same as her mother.
She also inherited her mother's wonky eyes - crossed eyes - and it's something she shouldn't continually advertise or take the eternal selfies!
It speaks again as to her mental capabilities. The photo isn't cute and she needs to grow up! That's something kids do at Tripp's age.
To hell with the damn Repukes and with Scalia, Thomas, et al. Such a shame those idiots will never know what it is like to go without health insurance and have preexisting conditions. We have to elect the Democratic nominee or end up with more freaks like Scalia on the court.
ReplyDeleteThis is how it COULD have been:
ReplyDeleteThe Story You'd Be Reading Today If The Supreme Court Had Gutted Obamacare

And if tomorrow they rule that gay marriage is protected by the constitution, well all hell's gonna break loose. LOL!
Cynical Assault on Obamacare
ReplyDeletehttp://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/doom-for-a-cynical-assault-on-obamacare
Here's some truth. Bristol could never post another innocent picture to IG on her phone again and there would still be some immoral, stalking blogger waiting to make every detail they hear a media announcement.
ReplyDeleteIt is no one's place to announce a pregnancy, birth or anything else that is private but the MOTHER/person who the news is about.
Bristol is true to being prolife. She would've disclosed this. There's nothing shameful and she knows that. She isn't promiscuous or shed have gotten pregnant in the last 6 years.
She wrote that being pregnant and having this baby will be a huge disappointment to her family and friends. Who wants to go through life being called a disappointment? Poor Tripp and Poor Baby.
DeleteIt is no one's place to announce a pregnancy, birth or anything else that is private but the MOTHER/person who the news is about.
DeleteDear Troll: Did you know you can make social media accounts private? Then only your friends and family see your big "news". As long as the accounts are public, they're ripe for public ridicule.
True thing Troll. Bristol would have spoken candidly, just liker mom does. And her dad too...anyone could call todd and ask "Todd have you been hanging it out with prostitutes? because they all live vibrantly and candidly, also. Not everyday is a brawl in there.
DeleteHow do you presume to know how many times she has been pregnant, Alicia? You have never even met her.
DeleteAs TheresaAK said when she (gasp) showed up on c4p, there's nothing wrong with being pregnant. Happens all the time.
DeleteWhat is WRONG is when you profess yourself to be a person that you're not for money and fame. All of us knew it, with this whole family. I dont even care whose baby it is.
I WILL call attention to President Obama. Perfect? No. Do I agree with everything he has done? No. But he does stand up for the rights of Americans of all color and identity. His children are also well educated, lovely girls that will go far and do even more when he leaves office.
There's the difference. Have at him.
LoveconqueredUS? Is that you? Why would you believe she doesn't use BC when she gleefully lies about celibacy? Plenty ofnpromiscuous but smart and not hypocritical women don't get pregnant. You gotta let it go.
DeleteDon't start that crap with me, 9:27 PM. I had a child out of wedlock at 26 in an uber Christian family. I call her out on every damn thing she does and I have the right to, because it's bullshit. That whole family is bullshit. Not sorry that their lies caught up with them. Had them pegged from the start.
DeleteRofl!!!!!!!!
Delete@6:33 PM Are you saying that Bristol was not pregnant in the Palin Family photo of November 14, 2007? Are you saying that Bristol was not nursing at the 2008 RNC? Are you saying that Bristol was not pregnant in that video clip of Mark Ballas comforting her big pregnant ass during rehearsal at DWTS? Are you saying that Bristol was not pregnant on the Samaritan's Purse trip after DWTS? Are you saying that Bristol was not pregnant during the Disneyland trip with Joey Junker and Tripp? Take your Random, Stupid Ass back over to c4p where you belong, troll/Alicia.
DeleteCongratulations to my friendly neighborhood blogger, Gryphen!! Don't forget about applesauce too! Rounds of popcorn for all!
ReplyDeleteIf we should be so lucky as to ever have a Democratic House, Senate and President again this country might have Medicare for all or single payer. Companies may even be asking for that. Listen to what Bernie Sanders has to say about that. Whoever the Democratic nominee is, please vote for her or him. I think it would be cool to have Bernie as President and Hillary Vice and then in 2020 Hillary as Pres to keep it going. I'm quite conflicted because I always wanted Hillary but I like what Bernie is saying and with the TPP being almost a done deal we need someone to work for the middle class and keep Wall Street at bay.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved that picture of POTUS and POTUS. Along with pictures of Michelle and the Bidens, it gives me confidence in the team at the top.
ReplyDeleteO/T Junker's current girlfriend?

DeleteLooks like Joey just "celebrated" his birthday.
DeleteBirthday: June 23, 1982
Why are you stalking random people
Delete9:472 PM Why are you stalking IM? Why did Bristol and Sarah try to trick Dakota Meyer into marrying a pregnant Bristol Palin? Dakota nixed that wedding. He was not going to be Junker's baby's Daddy.
DeleteHe isn't random asshole. He IS the baby's father.
DeleteGet a job Alicia, and take your meds.
Blah Blah Blah Republicants.
ReplyDeleteVote every last one out.
Gryphen, you are a treasure and we love you.
ReplyDeleteYes you are and yes we do!
DeleteThank you, Gryph!
DeleteI hope that amidst all of the celebrations currently go on here that a few folks will stop for a minute to think of the nine folks aboard the plane that has crashed, as well as those people's loved ones.
ReplyDeleteYes, and please add my neighbor and his family and loved ones. He didn't die in a plane, never made the news, but he died after contracting BOOP Pneumonia
Deletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronchiolitis_obliterans_organizing_pneumonia,
He was 41 years old, left behind a wife battling postpartum depression, a six week old and four year old twins.
RIP Jerome P.
Then there is this:

I don't give a shit if Bristol is pregnant again or not. She should've done the world a favor by aborting Tripp and hopefully she'll consider aborting this one. The world does not need any more Palins.
ReplyDeleteShe stays true to herself and doesn't choose abortion. She loves babies
DeleteTotally disagree. Pro-choice here. What I personally hate is that she wants as much attention as Kim Kardashian. So, you're having a baby...women do it every day. Don't apologize to God for pity, you did this willfully.
DeleteIn others news, the Black Man is still in the White House and raising his daughters to be stellar human beings along with MOOshell and their grandmother. Got a problem with that, troll?
Anon @9:52...the world does not need any more Palins. It has nothing to do with President Obama nor our lovely FLOTUS, whose name is NOT Moochelle! The Palins & Obamas could not be more different-one family is Alaskan trash & the other is class and dignity personified. So, fuck off!
DeleteAnon @9:52...the world does not need any more Palins. It has nothing to do with President Obama nor our lovely FLOTUS, whose name is NOT Moochelle! The Palins & Obamas could not be more different-one family is Alaskan trash & the other is class and dignity personified. So, fuck off!
Delete@9:41 PM She loves giving away babies. She is borderline retarded.
DeleteJust answering using troll words.
DeleteNo offense taken. A sorry day for them.
I will consider myself fucked off.
So kind of you to post twice, LOL
Loving babies is not the same as being a responsible parent. You are an idiot.
DeleteShe is responsible. She was engaged. She's raised her son well, as he has friends and he is a good kid who's always been happy since day 1
DeleteGood kids don't swear at their mothers and aunts. For money. Good kids don't have to be bribed to do things. Good mothers don't post nearly naked photos of their young kids, not do they sleep with them at age six.
DeleteAlicia from Florida, Bristol is a lot of things but responsible isn't one of them.
DeleteAlicia just can't admit that Bristol Palin is a chronic sex admirer and a baby making machine. Too bad that Dakota Meyer was almost trapped into marrying a woman who was already pregnant with Joey Junker's baby. Didn't Sarah Heath do the same with Curt Menard Jr.'s baby by marrying Todd Palin?
DeletePoro Choice female, no one twisted her arm, She's a grown woman, and she chose life. It's not her pregnancies, it's her ghostwriter and her own choice to stand firmly on the side of Abstinence, while "playing the role of single, long suffering, why me, God on her side, hypocrite.
DeleteAnything, and I mean anything one "shares" on Social Media is fair game. If she chose to announce it this way, it just points to her own need for attention.
She's not the first twenty something to find herself pregnant, but don't bash others for their choice while "answering to a higher authority" doesn't pertain to her own stupidity, but a woman who gets an abortion is persona non grata.
Barstool is not borderline retarded, she is full on 100% retardado!!!
ReplyDeleteBristol is definitely retrasado mental. All Palins are.
DeleteThe world will never be a fair place until the Levis are called sluts or the Bristols aren't.
ReplyDeleteLevi technically has 2 kids born outside marriage.
No, no he doesn't.
DeleteLevi had his first child out of marriage as a teenager. His second child was with the woman he then married. Neither Levi nor Bristol should be called sluts, but Bristol is a fucking hypocrite.
DeleteClose your legs, Bristol. Find a fool to marry before getting pregnant. Don't substitute a MOH winner for the real father of your fetus(Junker). Leave Levi and his family alone, they are not preaching abstinence and born again virgin. DAVID LETTERMAN was right!!!
DeleteIs it just me, or does President Obama look ten years younger in recent days?
ReplyDeleteI am virtually certain of two things. First, Bristol is now pregnant having had sex just once and it was an accident, so she's not to blame there. Secondly, she let the guy put it in but made him promise not to move. BBWwaaaaahhhhhh!
ReplyDeleteTake a look at the 3 judges that voted no. Replace them somehow someway because these three belong to zit united. They were placed there years ago by those that think a wee bit CRAZY, . Why do ALL americans not have healthcare, paid leave, vacation, sick and bereavement from the taxes dollars we pay? ALL of us pay taxes one way or another depending on your life and situation. We want healthcare and education. Socialize the basics. Tax the extreme luxury. Fix tax rate. Fund Heavy on technology, genetic research, infrastructure, education. Make your voice be heard people!!. Sway society to the good side of Living Life Fully for all. .
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that the Three Negatives were all appointed by Republicans. True to their beastly nature.
DeleteBeaglemom
A healthy citizenry makes a healthy country and when people feel relieved because they know they have affordable medical care for unexpected diagnosis or injury, or if those with pre-existing conditions can now live stress-free knowing they have follow-up care and treatments, it boosts a society's attitudes and economy.
ReplyDeleteI believe in God's deliverance. When people pray and seek help from above, because they can't get it with their elected officials, a higher power answers their prayers. If conservatives believe in the Judea-Christian God they so eagerly preach down others to, they sure missed the boat of blessings in disguise. God gives those who need what they need through the kindness and sincerity and determination of one President against all odds.
If Republicans have a beef about the ACA going forward, they need to take it up to one who answers prayer.
First of all J.K.Rowling would never approve of Scalia's use of a Harry Potter book phrase unless, of course, he was describing his own sick reasoning on this matter. How can judges, who for most of, if not all of, their adult lives, have had the best medical coverage possible deny to their fellow citizens? That's something that I simply cannot fathom.
