Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton released eight years of tax returns Friday, as well as a complete listing of the millions she and her husband have received for paid speeches over the years.
Clinton’s release of her returns from 2007-2014 bring to 38 the number of years of publicly released tax returns by the Clintons over the course of four presidential campaigns, topping former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s previous record of 33 years set last month.
Since 2007, the Clintons have paid $43,885,310 in federal taxes, with an effective tax rate of 35.7 percent in 2014—roughly the same as Bush’s average of 36 percent.
The Clintons reported devoting more than 10 percent of their income to charity, outpacing Bush’s reported 3.1 percent average from 2007-2013.
Earlier this year, Clinton filed her personal financial disclosure revealing she and her husband earned more than $30 million in paid speeches since January 2014.
Wow! Over 43 million in taxes!
And yet the Clintons still give 10% to charity.
Kind of makes old Jebbie look like a stingy asshole doesn't it?
Anybody want to lay odds as to whether or not "The Donald" is willing to reveal this much about HIS taxes? Yeah, I didn't think so.
I absolutely love how Hillary Clinton is operating her campaign for POTUS. She's got the Republicans beat coming and going!!! And, you can bet Jeb Bush and The Donald will not release the financial information as have the Clintons.
ReplyDeleteHillary is bringing on an entirely new game when it comes to campaigning! Eager to cast my vote for her!
Hillary has a great team advising her. She is ahead of the attacks, ignoring the ridiculous, and answering questions before they are asked. She is a wrecking crew this time, and good for her!! The GOP needs to be smashed into oblivion before they can do any more damage. And we have to elect more liberals to get the agenda passed. It is our country; our time!
ReplyDeleteThey clearly learned a lot from the last campaign and are putting their lessons to good use.
DeleteI also remember reading somewhere that some of Obama's campaign team have been hired to work on hers as well. Nothing like recruiting from a winning team!
You people are like children.
DeleteThanks for the complement. Children are a wonderful thing to be compared to. They have an unquenchable curiosity about the world around them, aren't afraid to ask if they don't comprehend something, and their minds are like sponges.
DeleteWell, you may be the rare exception, but that's not our fault.
I wanna see Trumps! His comb must be a dependent!
ReplyDeleteThe beast on his head is the dependent, the comb and hairspray are a write-off expense.
DeleteMildred
Wow, the Clinton's sure have come a long way since that time they were broke after leaving the White House!
ReplyDeleteYes, and they did it by working hard. People are willing to PAY to attend their speeches, because they are highly intelligent. Dubya is also raking in the $$$ for speeches, but from whom? I would not attend a speech by him if they paid me. Oh, and his speeches are closed to reporters. The Clintons are open to everyone.
Delete3:20 you can detach your lips from the Clinton Anus machine now lol.
Delete"they did it by working hard"
Ahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa.......... good one.
Wait I missed your last bit:
Delete"The Clintons are open to everyone."
Aaahahahahahahahahahaaahaahahahahahaa!!
Yes they have. Most locations looking for a speaker would rather have an ex -president or ex-sec. of state VS your local Alaskan Knocked up abstinence speaker.
DeleteThe Clintons are RESPECTED worldwide unlike - well - name ANY republican. ANY ONE. They are welcomed anywhere, unlike Dubya, Cheney and some of their cabinet members, who are advised not to leave the country for fear of being arrested for war crimes. How proud are you of those clowns? Also, too, I have NEVER seen Hillary looking as though she needs a shower, and a change into CLEAN clothes. PayMe NEVER looks fresh, and her clothes look dirty. Chelsea Clinton is smart enough to use birth control, unlike the PayMe whores.

Geo Bush has always been a coward, his speeches were closed to reporters when he was in office. Except maybe his hand picked reporters who ask him pre-agreed on questions.

"Kind of makes old Jebbie look like a stingy asshole..."
ReplyDeleteGryphen, sometimes you make me laugh right out loud.
Poor Sarah's Arizona frig!
ReplyDeleteShe'll be ripping her wigs apart upon hearing what the Clinton's have made in speeches!
I wonder how much the Palins pay in taxes. . . or if they actually have any income.
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
I am sure they have some kind of money laundering going with all their LLC's.
DeleteThey also should be paying taxes on all the gifts(guns, purses etc) they receive, but I bet they "forget" when it comes tax time.
Hillary Clinton looks 1000% better than Sarah Palin these days despite being older.
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
Absolutely! She has dignity and poise, knows how to dress appropriately for her age, and has never embarrassed the country the way Sarah Palin has on so many occasions.
DeleteShe's a credit to her gender, Palin, on the other hand, has demeaned the status of all women with her winking and flirting.
And when Jeb! does give to charity it isn't a real charity. He and his mother both gave 'charitable' donations to his brother Neil's bogus education company.
DeleteThe Bush family needs to be kept far away from the White House. It's just war war war and more war with those people.
After Katrina, Barbara Bush made a donation to the cause, stipulating most of it had to go to Neal's educational software!! Keep it in the family. They are a stingy group, typical repugs.
DeleteJoe Biden Said to Be Taking New Look at Presidential Run
ReplyDeleteVice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his associates have begun to actively explore a possible presidential campaign, an entry that would upend the Democratic field and deliver a direct threat to Hillary Rodham Clinton, say several people who have spoken to Mr. Biden or his closest advisers.
Mr. Biden’s advisers have started to reach out to Democratic leaders and donors who have not yet committed to Mrs. Clinton or who have grown concerned about what they see as her increasingly visible vulnerabilities as a candidate.
The conversations, often fielded by Mr. Biden’s chief of staff, Steve Ricchetti, have taken place in hushed phone calls and over quiet lunches. In most cases they have grown out of an outpouring of sympathy for the vice president since the death of his 46-year-old son, Beau, in May.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/02/us/politics/joe-biden-white-house-2016-presidential-campaign.html
Joe Biden is also talking to friends, family and donors about jumping in. The 72-year-old vice president has been having meetings at his Washington residence to explore the idea of taking on Hillary in Iowa and New Hampshire.
He gets along with Hillary and has always been respectful of the Democratic Party’s desire to make more history by putting the first woman in the Oval Office.
But going through the crucible of the loss of his oldest son, Beau, to brain cancer made the vice president consider the quest again.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/02/opinion/sunday/maureen-dowd-joe-biden-in-2016-what-would-beau-do.html
OMG, yes, let Biden run! He would without a doubt continue the Obama legacy and perhaps be shrewd enough to ask Sanders to be his VP nod. This would be a deal breaker for the GOP.
DeleteI would love for some good candidate to challenge Hillary.
DeleteGO JOE!
President Obama: 16 named to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom
ReplyDelete(including Bill Clinton)
http://www.examiner.com/list/president-obama-16-named-to-receive-the-presidential-medal-of-freedom
Wow. Some of us are permanently tethered to Hillary. I've been very disappointed in her campaign so far. The private emails (couldn't she learn from Palin?), the botched release of the emails, concealing or deleting certain emails, herding the press with ropes to march behind her in a parade. Why can't she or her supposedly talented people see why that is a bad move? I despise her cat and mouse game with the press, few number of interviews and still a kind of smug attitude.
ReplyDeleteThe R's don't give a damn about Hillary's taxes, nor does the voting public. It's only we progressives who see unnecessary revelations as important. I think it's a clear attempt to distract from the ongoing problem of the emails and the fact that the criticism is infinite, because she can't now resurrect emails that have been erased. They'll aways say "it was her decision what to erase and why should we trust her."
I'll vote for her if that's what it comes to, but in the meantime:
GO BERNIE!
Her LOGO sucks .
DeleteNice take on it, physicsmom, and I wholeheartedly agree.
DeleteI've never been a Hillary supporter and I'm not going to start now. Obama was a breath of fresh air during a primary where the powers that be were trying to shove Hillary down our throats, and now they are again. I agree with you guys, I'm a Bernie supporter and Hillary is not on my radar; I'll vote Green if Hills is the primary candidate. No more legacy families in the whitehouse....we need change; Obama began it and another candidate aside from Hillary will keep it rolling. A vote for Hills is just like voting in another Bush.
Delete"like voting in another Bush"?? Surely you jest. Name ANY Bush with the intelligence of a Clinton, any of them all of them!!
Delete6:21 are you insane? Like voting in another Bush? No way, no how!
DeleteHillary Clinton Just Destroyed Jeb Bush’s Entire Presidential Campaign In 41 Seconds
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicususa.com/2015/07/31/hillary-clinton-destroyed-jeb-bushs-entire-presidential-campaign-41-seconds.html
A Quinnipiac Poll reveals a fatal weakness for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. Donald Trump garners very little support from women voters. Without significant support from female voters, Trump has almost no hope of building the winning coalition needed to put him in the White House.
ReplyDeleteThe Quinnipiac Poll found that Trump is viewed favorably by just 20 percent of women voters, compared to a whopping 64 percent who have an unfavorable opinion of Trump. Furthermore, in a head to head match-up with Hillary Clinton, the gender gap is truly staggering.
http://www.politicususa.com/2015/07/30/women-voters-impressed-donald-trump-1-5-view-favorably.html
I can't say I understand it but hey, I guess Bill and Hill figure once you have enough money you start to pay your fair share and good for them.
ReplyDeleteI like how she's called the GOP candidates on the rug by name and pointed out their lies, ironically using their own terminology while doing it. They have released another batch of emails along with their income statement. What I admire is exactly what you've pointed out. Despite making millions, they've paid a huge chunk of taxes and given thousands to charity.
ReplyDeleteJeb Exclamation Point volunteered almost as much, but I doubt the others, Trump especially, will be able to do the same thing.
I saw that Joe Biden is seriously considering running for office and will announce it toward the end of the summer. It will me interesting to see the entire clowncar trying to figure out how to attack Vice President Biden's record and qualifications. So far, the Democratic candidates have run pretty respectable campaigns, I haven't seen infighting nor attack ads yet, and I hope it doesn't come to that. They're mostly talking issues and their visions for the voters.
Too bad the same can't be said of the other side.
