Lindsey Graham endorses Jeb Bush for President. Gee, how completely unsurprising.

Why does this endorsement look more like a wake?
Courtesy of NBC News:

South Carolina senator and onetime GOP presidential candidate Lindsey Graham endorsed Jeb Bush Friday, backing the former Florida governor despite flagging poll numbers nationwide and in key primary states. With his endorsement came explanations as to why he didn't support other candidates, including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, whom he says is not ready.

At a news conference in South Carolina Friday, Graham, who focused his short-lived presidential bid on national security, said he liked what he heard from Bush at the debate the previous night.

"Last night I heard from Jeb Bush the right answer," Graham said with Bush at his side. "He demonstrated somebody in my view who is ready on day one to be commander-in-chief."

There are a lot of unpredictable things happening in this election cycle, but Graham endorsing Bush is not one of them.

And because there is so much that is unpredictable there is still a chance that Jeb! will end up with this nomination.

Right now the Republican party is planning for a contested convention, which seems designed to stop Donald Trump. And since we know that everybody hates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio probably has too much pigment for the top job, that could mean that despite his disastrous campaign and his poor poll numbers that Jeb! ends up leading the ticket.

Now I have no intention of betting on this because only a fool would try to call this outcome one way or the other. But it IS well within the realm of possibilities.

Repubs are mean-spirited, nasty, people, who lie all the time. They tell one lie after another about the President. All of them were lying up there, all of them. Heaven help us if anyone one of them makes it to the Oval Office.

You are right Ted, sir. We don't need Jeb Bush because of the very frightening thought that his brother's advisors are guiding his campaign! Jeb said early on that he was ''his own man,' then went right out and hired W.'s confidants. Unbelievable!

Well, this deep bench of candidates is found wanting in a big way. Jeb isn't ready, that's for sure.

However, Chris Christie really showed how shameful a character he is and not presidential with his 'kick Obama out of the White House' comment. What disrespect for the Office of the President, and what lack of civility he showed. The rest are just actors. Jeb is every neo-con's choice.

Never know, Jeb could be the candidate; I can see Darth.....er, Dick, behind the wings pulling the strings for puppet Jeb.

Oh, oh! Lindsey Graham doesn't have a U.S. flag pin on his lapel. What is he, some kind of socialist, communist, marxist, sympathizer? Jeb! had better back away from this endorsement before the write-wing nuts notice this.

A brokered convention? Isn't that the Earthquake group's wet dream? To have the convention go down in flames and their beloved leader rise from the ashes like a regal Phoenix?
OMG, Sandra Bailey and Mary Cole are probably ordering mobile billboards as we speak! Let's all rush over to palinquake's site and order us some t shirts and campaign buttons, so we can find each other on the convention floor! Or we can all meet at Denny's and shovel down a few plates of Grand Slams, first...!

Normally there are folks in this type photo that everyone has some knowledge. Do better 'known' Republicans not want to be associated w/Bush?

But when will Jeb? get that highly sought, very coveted endorsement from Todd Palin? Remember in 2012, when Newt Gingrich announced to a room of maybe 7, that he had something fantastic to share: he had just gotten Todd Palin's endorsement! Oh hell yeah! It was hilarious! Nobody gave a rats ass. Yeah, Jebya, get that coveted Todd Palin endorsement!

  16. Yes, Jeb! is not having a good time. While he is, I'm sure, thrilled with the Graham endorsement, he's really pissed that this running for president thing has been far, far harder than SOMEONE told him it would be. "Piece of cake, Jebbie! Republicans got no one as qualified and sensible as you! Only you can take on Hillary and win!". And ... he can not get any traction with the actual people. What a shocker. Last campaign he ran (I mean, competitive one) was 1998. Jeb! is so hopelessly out of touch and he knows it. He is very uncomfortable. I don't think he really wants to be president (If he did, he would have run in 2008 and/or 2012, right?). Trying to hand it to him in a brokered convention will spell disaster; the party will freak beyond freakish freaking. And I'd have to say, I would not blame them.

What's with everyone calling Mr.Graham "Miss Lindsay"?

Why do you consider implying someone is gay an insult?

Some of you posting on here are really hypocritical asshats.

Heidi, I wrote the innuendos about Lindsey.
I truly have no issue with anyone's sexual orientation or persuasion. I admit that I don't get it, but if my list of what I don't get about others lifestyle choices, I would die at my keyboard.
Misty was able to capture the sentiment far better than I could. But, truly I have no issue with those who are gay or lesbian, just with those who embrace a political affiliation that does not embrace them.
If I have offended you, please accept my apology.

Speaking of being hypocritical, you've done Mr. Graham the discourtesy of spelling his name incorrectly. Clearly you are more interested in bashing your fellow commenters than in showing proper respect for the senator.

You should back up your complaint by showing you know what "hypocritical" means and then citing an example.
