Bill Clinton compares Bernie Sanders campaign to Tea Party. Ooh, that's a little low.

Courtesy of Real Clear Politics:

BILL CLINTON: It's not altogether mysterious that there are a lot of people that say, well, the Republican party rewarded the Tea Party. Just tell people what they want to hear, move them to the right, and we'll be rewarded, except they didn't get anything done.

Then that's going on now in our party. If you don't deal with the fact that we are too politically polarized and we keep rewarding people who tell us things we know they can't do because it pushes our hot button, we can't go forward together.

You know I love me some bill Clinton.

And I am a Hillary supporter. More or less.

However it might be a good idea to think about muzzling the Big Dog. At least during the primaries.

I'm just not sure that he is helping.

Okay I lied, I KNOW he is not helping.

I'll side with the Clintons. Too much is at stake now to mess around with naive idealism, launched by those who aren't really Democrats. I used to bristle at the Trump-Sanders comparisons, but no longer. The Supreme Court is at stake. The last shred of democracy is at stake. It's time to get serious. Bernie should help us hold the Senate; he took 30 years too long to launch his great revolution.

Are the caucuses just white people? Are there Latino, AA, ...in polls? Same as when Romney ran, high polls for him. I really don't know.

Well, look at the two states that have just held caucuses - Iowa and New Hampshire. Not bastions of much of anything, except white voters. As far as I'm concerned, the whole purpose of holding an early caucus is to bring attention to the state. Otherwise, no one pays much attention to either one of them unless there's a weather calamity.

      Beaglemom -
Don't forget that NH is also next door to Vermont, Sanders' home state. There are a lot of similarities, politically, between NH and VT, so it was to be expected that Sanders would win that state.

In the meantime, he hasn't been doing himself a lot of favors with many of the statements he's made in the past couple of weeks. His campaign apparatus is certainly not the well-oiled machine that Clinton has, and that may end up hurting him more and more as this battle continues. She learned a lot during the 2008 campaign and is clearly putting that knowledge to work this time around.

  3. It might indeed be time for Bill to go sit on the porch for a breather. I hate to see democrats(or people running under the banner) get ugly about other democrats.

Sometimes Bill is just a bit too much. He seems to lose it in South Carolina.

    1. Sounds like Billary are bringing out the trash talk like they did in 2014 primary season just about how when they saw Obama's popularity. It does them no favors or advantage: suspect people have decided which camp they are in and that's that.

The interviewer looked confused. "So the point I guess...." but video ends. What IS the point except bringing out an obviously failing, alas, Bill. No wild applause at his "point" from audience.

Funny how you didn't bother to mention how Chris Hayes was forced to apologize for framing Bill Clinton, for editing what he said to make it look bad.

No, you didn't mention that because it's too easy to ride Bill Clinton's back 24/7 doing Sarah Fucking Lazyass Palin's work for her.

You also haven't mentioned the dirty shit being reported from Nevada. Why is that?

I suspect that many of Bernie Sanders' supporters are like the Ralph Nader groupies of 2000 and 2004. In some ways they are just as ignorant of political realities as the GOP "teabaggers" but they are generally a lot younger, they spell better and they are more articulate. This is the same crowd of "progressives" that has complained that President Obama did not give the country universal single payor healthcare since 2009, ignoring (or not understanding) the battle that took place in Congress to get any health care reform passed. What kind of lead in that battle did Bernie Sanders take at the time?

Please, enough already with the Shakesville links. That site is run by an abusive, rude, gaslighting narcissist masquerading as a "safe-space" promoting feminist. She is devoted to electing Hillary Clinton while constantly smearing Bernie Sanders and minimizing his stellar record in Congress.
