Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is resigning as vice chair of the DNC in order to endorse Bernie Sanders for President.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Democratic National Committee vice-chair Tulsi Gabbard resigned from her post on Sunday to endorse Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders.

“I think it’s most important for us, as we look at our choices as to who our next commander in chief will be, is to recognize the necessity to have a commander in chief who has foresight, who exercises good judgment,” Gabbard, a U.S. representative for Hawaii, said on MSNBC show “Meet the Press”.

I have to day that this is a really gutsy move on Gabbard's side as she is a real up and comer in the Democratic party, and I think she is really putting her reputation on the line with a move like this.

Especially since it appears the Democrats are getting ready to close ranks behind Hillary.

Personally I have always liked Rep. Gabbard and found her to be a no nonsense politician with strong ethics.

I guess that's why Sanders appeals to her.

Good for her. Everyone is free to endorse (and vote for) whomever they want. I'm a Clinton supporter and I'm glad all Democrats can express their preferences like this.

Except as DNC vice-chair she knew she was unable to formally endorse anyone. Gabbard should have remained neutral or not accepted the position to begin with.

Mika appears ready to replace Andrea Mitchell-Greenspan.

Liberals will support whichever candidate wins the nomination because they know if they don't they are handing the country over to Trump (or Cruz or Rubio).

Liberals talk about how Obama had/has a mandate because he was elected by the majority of the people. Whomever gets the majority of votes in the primary should get the same support.

I don't think Trump can win a general election.

Trump's negatives with blacks, Hispanics, women, gays, and Asians are in the toilet. He's really despised by most millenials. Every Sanders supporter I know would rather have Hillary than Drumpf.

The dirty laundry of his past includes horribly nasty and demeaning interviews with Howard Stern, outright lies about David Duke and the KKK, and we haven't even seen his tax returns yet.

Drumpf hasn't been attacked yet like he will be if he wins the nomination.

As much as I don't like much of HIllary's history of hawkish votes she would be a much better President than a foul mouthed , idiotic, narcissistic, race baiting pig like DrumpF

For an interesting look at some of the atrociously disrespectful trash that DrumpF has said on camera, check out Buzzfeed's posts of the Stern show.

His strong ethics must have been on vacation when he ignored the fact that Vermont nuclear waste was going to be dumped near Sierra Blanca, a small Texas town made up of mostly of poor Latinos. And when a contingency of residents traveled to Vermont to protest, Sanders basically told them "tough shit," and dismissed them. (I wish Paul Wellstone was still alive)

I don't think he focuses too much on overall income equality while not addressing women and minority issues (which go beyond income equality). I know he's good on those issues, but he doesn't talk about them enough. It's not sufficient to say that redistributing wealth will take care of women and minority inequality because it's much more complicated.

    Two thoughts

I've always voted, but never bothered with primaries. Until this year. I'm all over the primary and voting for Hillary. Why? Not because she's perfect, but because she's the most solid candidate out there. I'm that excited about Hillary as a candidate to adjust an insanely busy work schedule to go vote in the primary! I want to vote for her twice! (I love Bernie's vision, and respect those that are voting for him, I simply have greater confidence in Hillary.)

As for Trump, she will trounce him in debates. Not only does she actually know what she's talking about, but Trump has a single debate technique: bullying. He will not fair well bullying a woman. And I believe he will melt down if a woman has the audacity to argue with him.

I'd bet money he walks off the debate stage or cancels a debate at some point.

I would say it's interesting that Bristol is still friends with all her and J's mutuals, but there's no reason she wouldn't be.

It's just good there's no real drama with Dakota. Bristol is relieved her baby's father wants to be a parent. She was uncertain her pregnancy. And it's interesting his family still likes her posts.

Ok, done for awhile/forever and I feel we should all be done stalking and inventing drama. Be happy Bristol and Levi forgave each other so quickly and he's seen Tripp for years now. They're lucky is wasn't a nasty case. Levi is not blameless. Can't rewrite his past actions. or erase them.
