Patton Oswald has some strong opinions about Bernie Sanders supporters who claim they will not vote for Hillary Clinton in the general: "You're a f**king child."

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Oswalt has been a supporter of Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, but made it clear in the interview that he’s not “Bernie or bust.”

“I will vote for whoever the Democrats nominate against either of those two psychopaths,” he said. “I think they’re both equally dangerous and backward-facing for this country.”

Asked what he would say to a Bernie supporter who would rather not vote than cast a ballot for Hillary Clinton in the November general election, Oswalt replied, “Well, then you’re a fucking child.”

Well there you go, I could not have said it better myself.

We have these idiots here as well. You see them in the comments section, constantly threatening to take their vote and go home if their candidate does not win the nomination.

First off if that is the case do not refer to yourself as a Democrat. Because you are not one.

Also do not refer to yourself as a patriot, because that is now in question as well.

You vote for the candidate who will do the best job for, and the least damage to, the country.

End of story.

Does anybody really think I was inspired by Mike Dukakis in 1988? Or John Kerry in 2004?

Or for that matter Al Gore in 2000?

I wasn't. But I KNEW that the people running against them were going to pass laws that I found toxic, nominate Supreme Court Justices that would halt progress in this country, and possibly start a war or screw up the economy in way that it would take us years from which to recover.

The same is true this time around. I have nothing against Hillary Clinton per se, but she really does nothing that excites me about voting for her.

However I recognize that she is the best possible choice right now, for a whole lot of reasons that I have laid out on this blog in the past several months.

Every day adults are confronted with tough choices. And as adults we make the one that we hope is best for ourselves, our families, and in this case, our country.

P.S. Literally a couple of hours after I wrote this yesterday I learned that Patton Oswald's wife died.

I just want to say how sorry I am to hear that and that I am sending good thoughts his way.

Oh, and that is completely right about those Bernie Sanders supporters!

The fact that the first female president is the most capable for the job this election should be reason enough to be excited to vote for Hillary Clinton. She will not disappoint.

But I agree with Gryph about the "Bernie or Busters" who post here. Their discourse here has been hateful, at least to me; I've read terrible things they've written on Twitter to others, too.

Intimidation is not the way to campaign. If you don't want Trump to get the nuclear codes, it's time to get serious about the general election, now that it's clear HRC has won the Democratic nomination.

Wasn't it just last week that Gryph had a post where he was "just done with Bernie". Ironic that the owner of this blog wouldn't piss in Bernies mouth if he was on fire, yet insists that others bend over and vote for Hillary. The fact is, not voting IS a vote. No matter how you try and spin it, if one can't bear to vote for the lesser of two evils (which is still an evil) then that means something.

If you don't think not voting is not a vote, well then just imagine what would happen if they had an election and NOBODY voted. Now THAT would send a strong message.

Hillary has essentially been an EPIC fail at everything she has done, including losing elections. Didn't she have to have the Gubmint bail her out of debt after she lost to Obama? She can't even handle her own campaign finances without going into debt and GOD FORBID the Clintons should use their millions (aquired from Wall Street) to get her out of it. The bitch snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and then used taxpayer money to pay cover her debts!

    Fu_k Hillary Clinton.

She was appointed Sec. of State and now has 12 full time FBI agents investigating her actions. Chelsea was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, many have accomplished much more starting with less. Bernie or Busters better remember the 2000 election, when Ralph Nader's supporters REFUSED to vote for Al Gore, and the 1% margin of them not voting for him was enough to throw the country into chaos. The end result in Florida was that just a handful of votes (for Nader) made the difference in Gore not clinching that state. AND WE GOT GEORGE W FOR EIGHT YEARS. Hundreds of thousands of war dead ensued, trillions of wasted dollars.
Bernie voters should ask themselves whether that little tantrum in 2000 was worth it. No? THEN VOTE FOR HILLARY, you selfish toddlers.

Sanders’ staffers won’t comment on the exact size of the list, but his campaign has said it has 2.2 million donors, and the New York-based firm eDataSource estimates there are 5.2 million email addresses on it. The very fact that Sanders’ online fundraising prowess has become a focal point means that the question of what to do with the list is all the more complex.

Sen. Sanders’ tone was completely different at the Reading rally. Sanders has returned to discussing the issues that the corporate media completely ignore. Sanders talked with passion and conviction about income inequality and laid out how the economy must work for everyone, not just the people on top.

What made the Sanders campaign so great was his focus on the issues, and belief that the American people can come together and make the government work for the people. Sen. Sanders talked about Flint, Michigan and said, “This is the United States of America. We should have clean drinking water.” Sanders framed his difference with on fracking as a disagreement. What was missing was his previous language that painted Clinton as owned by the fossil fuel industry.

Sanders left in his lines about Sec. of State Clinton’s speeches to Wall Street, but the bite was missing from the zinger.

The speech was similar, but the tone was different. Bernie Sanders isn’t going after Hillary Clinton anymore. Sen. Sanders is pointing out his differences with Sec. of State Clinton in a gentle way. The anger towards Clinton was gone from his speech. Sen. Sanders was focused on the message that made his campaign great, and the result was one of his best speeches in weeks.

11:33 - Bernie is over. Everyone knows it but his donors.

Has anyone figured out that the Bernie Bros might be a combination of young, immature supporters and a bigger bunch of GOP trolls? What better way to confuse Democratic voters that to gin up a fight between the two Dem candidates? I suspect that half or more of the remarks on social media are the work of troublemakers in the Rovian trradition.

Good luck winning without the children and the independents. LOL. The only things worse than Hillary are Bill and her supporters are making it so easy not to vote for her.

Patton Oswald (whoever he is) said that Bernie Supporters who don't vote for Hillary "You're a f**king child."

Those children. Many of whom are not democrats and can vote for whoever they want two. One person one vote, the candidate of your choice.

11:09 - it's "whomever they want to." "One person, one vote" is not applicable to the primaries, by the way, and never has been. It's applicable to the General Elections. Wake up. Are you still in high school or something? I hope so. And if so, yes, you are still a child.

Exactly 10:29. Hillary is the worst.

It is going to be a real hangover headache for them when she is made a fool of again.

  28. The first thing we need to get rid of is the electoral college. We have the technology to allow a straight vote of the people.

Next, both sides need to clean up this manipulative, rigged delegate/superdelegate shit. If you're not going to let the people decide then let the leadership fight it out over who gets their nod and then just announce the anointed and go straight to the elections.

I am sick of this puppet show.

So, you have no idea what a superdelegate is or how the DNC works, or how it has benefited you and Bernie.

It's only a puppet show to someone who's too lazy to stop worshiping Savior Bernie and actually participate in the system.

That's not what's happening in this primary. Hillary Clinton is getting a lot more votes than Bernie Sanders. This isn't an anointment, it's an election.
