Initially, witnesses told investigators the boy was jumping on the bed and and caused a gun on the bed to accidentally discharge.
Officials say subsequent interviews revealed George Coty Wayman pointed the gun at the boy and told him if he didn’t stop jumping on the bed he would shoot him, and he fired the gun and struck the boy in the back of the head.
They say evidence in the bedroom of the trailer corroborates the witness’s account.
You know if they had stuck to their story about a gun laying on the bed, there is every possibility that this murderer would have gotten off relatively lightly.
After all this is Texas, where children die from accidental shootings almost every day it seems.
Kind of makes you wonder just how many of those were truly accidental as well.
An eighteen year old STEP father?!?
ReplyDeleteAlrighty then.
Sunny Johnston became a stepmother at 19 as well as giving birth to her first child at that age. So if you don't like it too bad. Now she's got two children plus her stepson Tripp so ha ha. Jokes on you.
DeleteIn FLA the shooter could claim protection under the "Stand your ground" law. Thanks, Jeb.

That was the first tragedy.
R.I.P. little guy.
Another horrific victory for the second amendment
ReplyDeleteI don't think castration is too harsh of a punishment for this crime. That boy is too stupid and mean to be allowed to reproduce.
ReplyDeleteOnce again it is time for the three stand-by excuses:
ReplyDeleteIt was an accident
It was Gods will
The family has suffered enough already.. that is their punishment.
Case closed.

ReplyDeleteNRA DID!
Who gives their kid a middle name that is shared by the world's cheapest perfume company?
ReplyDeleteApparently the parents of the guy with the gun who stopped the kid from jumping on the bed and possibly falling off and hurting himself. That's who.
DeleteSorry you lost your life. Ironic this is on while the NRA is having a party and endorsing Timid Trump, who has a no gun policy at Mar a Lago and Trump Towers, except for his sons who have "Many many guns" (Those are big words!) And whining Hillary will come and take them away.
ReplyDeleteRIP, whoever said "hell is for children" was so right. We'll never know what this child could have accomplished.
These "on purpose" "Accident" excuses have to stop, we need stronger gun laws. And let me toss this out there, people should need a license to reproduce, their houses inspected for safety. We adopted a frigging dog and they sent people out to make sure no access to chemicals, extension chords weren't frayed, etc. before they'd release the animal, AND we had to agree to at least 3 inspections without notice. Where are our priorities?
