The link on the tweet no longer goes to anything, but before somebody tried to do a little clean up, it went to this picture here of what are supposed to be Trump supporters."@Don_Vito_08: Thank You Mr. Trump for Standing up for Our Country! #VoteTrump2016 JOIN ME ON THE #TrumpTrain🚂 https://t.co/zgopGvSEen"— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 4, 2016
Look how happy they are to be supporting Donald Trump. Now how can he be a racist with that kind of support?
Wait for it.....
Yeah now that link goes to this online news story about a black family reunion in the Midwest.Seriously shameful: Trump's retweeted photo of "supporters" was lifted from @WCPO https://t.co/xXH8RZS8WT https://t.co/Vun9QDp9NZ— Mark Czerniec (@MarkCzerniec) June 4, 2016
Oops.
According to Buzzfeed the family in that picture are certainly NOT supporters of Donald Trump, and do not appreciate their picture being used to create a false narrative.
And of course this all follows an episode where Donald Trump called a black supporter "My African American."
In the words of my daughter, "Epic fail!"
Epic fail but also, please consider - in this world where things go viral on the internet, Donald Trump has just put this innocent family in the public eye. Donald Trump has decided to co-opt this family's image (kinda like owning a person?????) for his own purpose, and made them vulnerable to whatever uncontrolled hate-fest may be in store for them. A family, and their innocent children! It is not important what they believe or don't believe; even an attempt to clarify the record ("We haven't supported any candidate") could be held against them and subject them to hatred and potential violence.
ReplyDeleteThis is yet another reason why Donald Trump is completely unfit to get anywhere near the Oval Office.
They should bring a lawsuit against trump
Delete10:34 -
DeleteThey would have to go to the end of a VERY long line.
Not used to push back, eh Donald?
ReplyDeleteSo who is Don_Vito_08? Another alias like John Miller and John Barron? Sad!
ReplyDeleteAlso, "his" African American has said he is NOT a Trump supporter either.
ReplyDeleteI'm Black, and we know Trump is a racist, we know he is a white supremacist. Trust me, he will not be getting the Black vote.
DeleteI will suggest to all Latinos, Asians, and Muslims, do not vote for him either.
5:17: you forgot to include the women and the poor, too!
DeleteI honestly believe, the only 'real' votes he has are from the KKK and White Supremacists. He does not even have the rich guys' vote!
This is SO pitiful. The guy is dishonest to the core.
ReplyDeleteIf only any of this could penetrate the thick bubbles encasing his supporters' minds to prevent reality from reaching them.
ReplyDelete"...they never showed the crowds...." The networks, in their deal with Trump, were not allowed to pan their cameras around to the crowd, but had to keep the cameras always on Trump.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it Donald Trump would say, in his earlier speeches that the media would never show how many people he was drawing to his speeches - by putting the cameras on the crowd?
DeleteHe'd taunt them constantly for not doing so....so, disagree w/your statement, 5:01 AM!
That has to be a myth, that's not the way news organizations work. As 2:34 says, Trump always railed against the cameramen for NOT showing the crowd size - never mind the fact that the it was the job of the camera operators to take directions from their supervisors, not from the guy on the podium.
DeleteTypical Repub behavior, fraud and manipulation.
ReplyDeleteToo bad that family cannot sue him for lying on them, misrepresenting them.
why not?
DeleteGreat new video on HRC Twitter -
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/status/739790041497501696
So funny no one has to make up anything about Trump-all you need to do is use his own words and actions against him.
Will be interesting to see how Republicans get rid of him before election.
B.
LOL--how are they supposed to get rid of the only candidate they have left??? Who would take that spot? Any self-respecting goofball who had humiliated himself the way Trumpf has for the past year would have gracefully dropped out a long time ago. Are the Rethuglicans going to tap one of the Koch Bros???
DeleteUnless Donny has a heart attack, it ain't gonna happen.
They should sue Trump. It's the only thing he understands.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. He used their picture w/o their consent.
DeleteTurns out that 'his' African American - the one he so proudly pointed out to the crowd at one of his California ralleys ALSO is not a supporter, just some GOPer that happened to pass by there.
Just add it to the ~3,500 he's already involved in -- he'll never notice, or, he'll bribe them, or threaten them to shut up about it. Hope it's the latter. More grounds for the lawsuit.
DeleteThey really should. It's was Trump himself would do.
DeleteYou can be racist AND have support from "the blacks" etc. Romney wasn't planning on doing much for the poor hapless hillbillies who voted for him.
ReplyDeleteThey should sue for defamation.
ReplyDeleteIt got 'my' attention when The Donald said "MY African-American" as though they were his and he was entitled to them.
ReplyDeleteThe guy is unbelievable and does not qualify for being POTUS! He's going to lose!
Watched Morning Joe this morning. The bromance is over LOL

scratch may be the only one left who will accept the VP slot
DeleteI find it hard to believe that ANY Republican would want to go on the Trump ticket. Trump will lose the race to Clinton and the VP candidate will have ruined his/her political career!
DeleteThe only person I think that might be idiot enough to run w/Trump is Sarah Palin! We all know her political career fell by the wayside a long time ago! She'd do it for money and publicity!

And, I'm sure all the crap Trump pushed about President Obama (birth issue mainly!) makes our wonderful leader more than eager to get out there - support Hillary and play w/Trump in the sandbox!

The GOP’s Giant New Headache: Donald Trump Brags About Making Money With Dictators
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicususa.com/2016/06/05/gops-giant-headache-donald-trump-brags-making-money-dictators.html
Donald Trump is a candidate without a campaign – and it’s becoming a serious problem.
ReplyDeleteRepublicans working to elect Trump describe a bare-bones effort debilitated by infighting, a lack of staff to carry out basic functions, minimal coordination with allies and a message that’s prisoner to Trump’s momentary whims.
“Bottom line, you can hire all the top people in the world, but to what end? Trump does what he wants,” a source close to the campaign said.
In reporting on Trump’s operation, NBC News talked to three Trump aides and two sources working closely alongside the campaign, all of whom requested anonymity in order speak freely.
Veteran operatives are shocked by the campaign’s failure to fill key roles. There is no communications team to deal with the hundreds of media outlets covering the race, no rapid response director to quickly rebut attacks and launch new ones, and a limited cast of surrogates who lack a cohesive message.

Trump will likely keep insulting Hillary. He will likely keep raising issues of ethnicity, race and gender. He will lash out at opponents and shrug off specific plans. Hillary, having found her voice, will pound on the Commander-In-Chief issue, and the economy. Her own unpopularity will recede. Undecideds will break toward Hillary. Republicans will stay home in droves. Trump will win the Old Confederacy and a few Rocky Mountain states, but not by a lot. Hillary will win comfortably elsewhere. And the Senate and the House? Gone.
ReplyDeleteThis inevitability of this outcome is dawning on Republicans everywhere. What you are smelling is primal fear. They can see it coming, an inevitable tidal wave sweeping them from power. The Senate: Gone. The House: Gone.
It’s going to happen. But unlike most Greek tragedies, where the hero destroys himself but everyone else survives, he’s dragging everyone with him. Trump is about to destroy the Republican Party in his own mad dash to oblivion.

You know they should have called this bastard's lying when he said he saw muslims cheering on the 9/11 bombings. It was like watching a three year old lying and everyone just shrugged it off. Donald only know lies. He's never read 2 corinthians and even the christians didn't call him on it. I've never seen a candidate hold up the bible like he did as if were something he swore by. And people ate that up. What a magician this candidate has become. Wonder what other tricks he has up his sleeve?
ReplyDeleteHe's a liar, a racist, a bigot, a con man.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone really think he wouldn't stoop to plagiarism and copyright violation?
The man doesn't pay his taxes and is a serial litigator.
and trump's so-called african american has come out and said that while he is a republican he is not a trump supporter. he's a politician and citizen who was at the rally and had also been at one for bernie. he just went to hear. period. and he was holding a trump for vets sign so as to block the sun from his eyes. that is what the man himself has said.
ReplyDeleteOne of our neighbors who happens to be African American, thought he'd do much better as Al Jolson in blackface than his "My African American", white privilege and the term implies ownership. The man's a disgrace to his race, no make that the human race.
