The UK knew - it was that time. And now is that time in the USA.
The Brexit referendum is akin to our own Declaration of Independence. (That is not just like comparing apples to oranges, that is comparing apples to bowling balls.) May that refreshed spirit of sovereignty spread over the pond to America's shores! (Wait, since when is America not a sovereign nation?)
Congratulations, smart Brits. Good on you for ignoring all the fear mongering from special interest globalists who tend to aim for that apocalyptic One World Government that dissolves a nation's self-determination and sovereignty... the EU being a One World Government mini-me. (Apocalyptic One World Government? Well somebody has been spending time over at World Net Daily and Infowars now haven't they?)
America can learn an encouraging lesson from this.
It is time to dissolve political bands that connect us to agendas not in our best interest. May UN shackles be next on the chopping block.

It is not surprising that Palin is all giddy and damp panties over this Brexit thing, after all it is driven by the same xenophobia and white outrage that is behind the Donald Trump campaign.
Isolationism, religious intolerance, fear mongering, in many ways Brexit is a look into the crystal ball predicting what could happen in this country if we allow Donald Trump to win the White House.
And it is yet another reminder of why it is more important than ever for Democrats to turn out in historic numbers to keep that from ever happening.

The #REGREXIT hashtag began trending on Twitter on Saturday morning, just as a petition calling for the country to hold a second referendum on its membership in the European Union passed 2 million signatures.
Tweeters vented their anger on a variety of themes. Some of those who voted “leave” said they now felt betrayed and wish they could turn back time and opt to remain. Others called out those same “leave” voters for choosing to exit the EU without having done the proper research:

Two Million Sign Petition Demanding Another Referendum
ReplyDeleteA petition asking the U.K. government to hold another European Union referendum has garnered more than 2 million signatures in just 24 hours. The official results from Thursday's vote gave the "leave" campaign a narrow victory, with 52 percent of the vote. The voter turnout rate was 72 percent, and the petitioners want to append a rule stating that turnout must exceed 75 percent if the winner received less than 60 percent. While the possibility of another referendum is a longshot, the issue must now be debated in the British Parliament becuase the petition eclipsed 100,000 signatures.

ReplyDeleteSomeone in Fox's grahics dept is apparently as ignorant as Palin, and Satuday Fox was running a graphic that said "UK Votes to Leave UN." Palin is so feckkin' ignorant she didn't realize th gaphic was wrong.
