Yeah, I would certainly consider that a sacrifice.
However it pales in comparison to the one endured by the Khan family.
Let's face it Cheeto Jesus has no suffered in any real way, so he cannot understand or appreciate, the suffering of others.
Donald Trump has never experienced any deprivation in his entire life. Is it any wonder he doesn't understand the meaning of the word "sacrifice"?
ReplyDeleteHis attacks on the Khan Family will be his undoing. Veterans and Gold Star families are the one thing that both parties and both sides of the aisle agree on.
He was already on thin ice by dissing John McCain as a "loser" for being a POW.
I think he'd stepped over the line by attacking the Khan Family, especially the mother.
Samantha Bee squished him like a bug.
Democrats and Republicans have spoken out about Trump because of this one vile twitterwar he's doubling down on. I think this is his major mistake. The RNC wasn't the success he was hoping for. This is the final nail in the coffin.
This is the one issue that will get Republicans to cross the aisle and vote for Hillary. Hillary respects our servicemen and their families. She can't be faulted on that account.
Whereas Donald was almost a draft dodger with his trumped up deferment for "bone spurs".
This is his "where is your decency" moment. And just like it took out McCarthy, this will take out Donald Trump.
I think Hillary will win with one of the biggest numbers in history.
His little twitter tantrum is going to turn a lot of those toss up states blue.
I think Hillary will win with one of the biggest numbers in history.

Pence had the audacity to complain the media is not giving poor Patti Smith the same air time.
The point of Smith's speech was to slander Hillary, not criticize and the Democrats are not smearing Mrs. Smith, calling her a terrorist and worse.
Yesterday at a rally Pence said Trump cares about the military more than any leader is has ever known.
DeleteRe: Benghazi embassy deaths of four Americans and the State Department
DeletePlease note, Patti Smith is not considered 'immediate family' as Sean Smith's mother. Her only child, the dead son, was married and was still with his living wife. The wife, Heather Smith (and their two children) are immediate family. The mother, Patti Smith is understandably heart-broken, her son and only child is dead.
But, the contact with the State Department authority is with the wife, Heather Smith, not with the mother, Patti Smith. The wife is satisfied with the authorities as has publicly stated that she appreciates their thoughtfulness.
Additional information desired by Patti Smith can only come from her daughter-in-law Heather. If the son had not been married, then the mother would be immediate family.
https://bonnierussell.wordpress.com/2016/07/19/would-sean-smith-be-proud-of-his-mother-patricia-smith/
IMO, it is shameful that Fox and GOP would exploit this poor and traumatized with grief mother of Sean Smith for political purposes. It is most cruel for the loved-ones of the four dead American public service workers in diplomatic service in Benghazi, Libya. The four lives were sacrificed in service to America.

ReplyDeleteMilbank: The facts behind Donald Trump’s many falsehoods
ReplyDelete.... What is clear is that Trump will freely make statements that are untrue, will change his story and pretend he did not say what he did say, then claim he doesn’t remember, even though he previously has bragged that he has one of the world’s greatest memories.
Milbank quotes the ghostwriter of The Art of the Deal on how little connection to the truth Trump has. Milbank himself notes:
In March, Politico analyzed a week’s worth of Trump’s words and found that he averaged one misstatement every five minutes.
.... In each case, Trump surely could have known that a simple Internet search would prove him a liar. This suggests that he may not think he’s lying — and that he sees truth not as an absolute but as the last thing to come out of his mouth.
And that, my friends, may be even scarier than someone who is actively lying. It is absolutely illustrative of how solipsistic Donald Trump is, even beyond the normal definition of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/8/1/1555551/-Milbank-The-facts-behind-Donald-Trump-s-many-falsehoods
In my personal life divorcing a pathological personality, when I asserted his multiple and conflicting lies on the same topic he told people I had "a thought disorder, I sat around making things up". My point is when people bring to light the multiple lies pathological personalities simply lie and smear anyone even when there is audio and video.

Candidly, that's what you do if you're really 'Never Trump.' This is what I was getting at - or rather what I think Obama was getting at - in my write up on President Obama's speech last week at the DNC. The country's sense of itself is built on a string of mythic national moments. The McCarthy Era, Watergate. If we're lucky and Trump is defeated, I believe people will quickly come to look back on it as a McCarthy-era-like near miss. People will be asking, which side were you on? What did you do? Delete32 out of 40 says yes.
There is every reason to believe, based on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s own statements, that the campaign aid rolling in from Russia is an investment to assure Vladimir Putin that America will allow Russia unrestricted access to rebuild the dreaded former Soviet Union. There is a world of noise about Donald Trump’s embrace of Vladimir Putin, particularly his obvious eagerness to help Russia annex NATO members, including a nation aspiring to NATO membership, Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteIt has been curious, and a mystery really, that none of the Republicans in Congress clamoring for the Obama Administration to engage Russia with militarily aid to assist in the defense of Ukraine a couple of years ago, and Georgia for that matter, have not condemned Trump’s cozy Russian relationship. It is not a mystery any longer.
A damning article in the Guardian revealed that not only is Donald Trump in bed with Russia, “a key figure at the Republican national convention has strong business ties with Ukraine,” and that the official RNC party platform astonishingly “removed references to arming Ukraine in its fight against pro-Russia rebels;” rebels who are and have been receiving material support from the Vladimir Putin.

Donald Trump’s Confrontation With Muslim Soldier’s Parents Emerges as Unexpected Flash Point
Delete...And Mr. Trump’s usual political tool kit has appeared to fail him. He earned no reprieve with his complaints that Mr. Khan had been unfair to him; on Sunday morning, he claimed on Twitter that Mr. Khan had “viciously attacked” him. Mr. Trump and his advisers tried repeatedly to change the subject to Islamic terrorism, to no avail.
Instead, Mr. Trump appeared to be caught on Sunday in one of the biggest crises of his campaign, rivaling the uproar in June after he suggested a federal judge, Gonzalo P. Curiel, was biased because of his Mexican heritage. By going after a military family and trafficking in religious stereotypes, Mr. Trump once again breached multiple norms of American politics, redoubling pressure on his fellow Republicans to choose between defending his remarks or breaking publicly with their nominee.
Mr. Trump also risked reopening controversies related to religious tolerance and military service: His treatment of the Khans has brought on a new wave of criticism of his proposal to ban Muslim immigration, and of his mockery of Senator John McCain’s time as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

ReplyDeleteIt is official, we did it. Like Sarah Palin, the Orange Man will be calling it quits at his news conference today at 3 PM EDT at the Trump Towers
It is today that my beautiful wife Melania, my children and myself concede the 2016 presidential race to Democratic Party Presidential Nominee Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
I urge all Americans who supported us to join me in not just congratulating her, but offering our next president our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together, to find the necessary compromises, to bridge our differences, and help restore our prosperity, defend our security in a dangerous world, and leave our children and grandchildren a stronger, better country than we inherited.
I’ve always believed that America offers opportunities to all who have the industry and will to seize it. Secretary Clinton believes that, too. But we both recognize that though we have come a long way from the old injustices that once stained our nation’s reputation and denied some Americans the full blessings of the American dream.
I therefore will be conceding my campaign as of todays date at 3 PM EDT.
I am sorry to end the race as I know it would have been a close one, and I thank my family, my campaign staff, the multitude of volunteers and the American people for your support during my time as the 2016 Republican Party presidential nominee which I have found enjoyable and fulfilling.
Yours sincerely,
