Courtesy of The Hill:
A new CNN/ORC poll released Monday gives Hillary Clinton a 9-point lead over Donald Trump, suggesting the Democratic presidential nominee won a significant bump from last week’s Democratic National Convention.
Clinton is ahead by a margin of 52 percent to 43 percent in a head-to-head match-up, a 7-point bump from CNN/ORC’s last poll.
When the Libertarian Party’s Gary Johnson and the Green Party’s Jill Stein are added in, Clinton leads Trump, the GOP nominee, 45 percent to 37 percent.
There is even more bad news for Trump:
A Gallup poll released on Monday provided some ominous signs for Donald Trump.
The poll found that 51% of the 1,000 adults surveyed said that they were less likely to vote for Trump following the Republican National Convention.
Only 36% said that they were more likely to vote for the New York businessman after he was officially named the GOP nominee.
Monday's poll was the first instance, since Gallup began tracking Republican and Democratic conventions in 1984, that voters were less likely to vote for the party nominee in the immediate aftermath of his or her convention.
Which indicates that the more voters see of Donald Trump the less likely they are to vote for him.
That does not exactly bode well for him concerning the upcoming debates against Hillary.
Which is the likely explanation for why he seems to be trying to get out of them.
Of course none of this can be Trump's fault so in response to this bad news he has started firing staff.
Jesus, I knew this was going to be a slaughter but I guess I didn't realize how bloody it was going to get.
IVANKA PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP
ReplyDeleteCNN:
Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama offered one of his sharpest denunciations of Donald Trump to date Tuesday, declaring the Republican nominee entirely unfit to serve as president and lambasting Republicans for sticking by their nominee.
The strong rebuke in the White House East Room came after Trump's criticism of the family of a slain Muslim US soldier, along with comments that displayed apparent confusion related to the Russian incursion into Ukraine.
"The Republican nominee is unfit to serve as president," Obama said at a White House news conference with the Prime Minister of Singapore. "He keeps on proving it."
Obama himself described his feelings as unprecedented, recalling disagreements with previous GOP presidential nominees Sen. John McCain and Mitt Romney -- but never an outright sense they were unfit to serve

Crying babies unnerve him? Hmnnn. Wait until the upcoming debates.
DeleteDrump's next move is to insist the debates take place at halftime between swing state NFL teams.
Bet he eats a live chicken with a flaming sword when he can't reply to Hillary!
No Mexicans, Muslims, protesters,or babies allowed. Or they will be beaten.
wow. and he looked like an ass the other day when holding two babies for a photo and he kissed one. he looked so completely uncomfortable.
DeleteWhat a contrast to our current President and Democratic candidate.
DeleteTrump throws a crying baby out of the room after humiliating the mother. Obama takes a crying baby in his arms and calms her right down.
Hillary and Bill show utter delight on their faces while cuddling their grandchildren. Trump says his wives were welcome to have babies but that he had no intention of doing anything to care for them.
"I mean, I won’t do anything to take care of them. I’ll supply funds and she’ll take care of the kids."
I wouldn't vote for him in 100 years but kicking out a crying baby is the only time I've approved of his behavior. Parents always think their kids are soooo gosh darn lovable when they're not. The parent should have left without being asked.
DeleteHe is really off the rails now. Doesn't he know that candidates are supposed to kiss babies? What a contrast to our current baby whisperer POTUS.
DeleteI have to wonder if Donald thinks this current offensive action will somehow cancel out his twitter war with the Khans and make the voters forget. Because they only seem to remember his latest offense, not the series of offenses, each one worse than the previous one.
What next? Kicking dogs? Setting kittens on fire?
That's our purple heart recipient Donald Trump. He was cowering with military deferments, so when he says shut up when I'm speaking to an infant, the infant better behave. Hey I was viciously attacked....."

DeleteIf Donald Trump wins, we'll know the voting machines are rigged. Hillary will need a 10% lead everywhere to beat him. That's the cushion.
Don't mention Bush or Cheyney, they had nothing to do with starting wars and terrorism. Bush didn't care where Osama Bin Laden was, it took a REAL smart POTUS to take him out.

Trump’s Vulgar Admission: Avoiding STDs Was “My Personal Vietnam” With “Few Uninfected” Women
ReplyDeleteTranscript:
STERN: Now getting back to dating, and when you got to say to a woman, you gotta go to my personal doctor and I'm gonna have you checked out, is that a tough thing to say to a woman?
TRUMP: It's amazing, I can't even believe it. I've been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. It's like Vietnam, sort of.
STERN: Hey it's your personal Vietnam isn't it?
TRUMP: It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier!
STERN: A lot of guys who went through Vietnam came out unscathed. A lot of guys going through the 80's having sex with different women came out with AIDS and all kinds of things.
TRUMP: This is better than Vietnam, but it's uh... it's more fun.
STERN: A little better, but every v****a is a landmine, haven't we both said that in private?
TRUMP: [intense laughter] I think it is a potential landmine. There's some real danger there.
STERN: When you go to a bar, do you ever go with a fleet of doctors and have them check all the women, and then party with the uninfected?
TRUMP: [laughter] The few! You mean the few uninfected!
...
TRUMP: You have to have a roving doctor, his office has to be in your briefcase. He has to be your best friend. He has to go with you at all times. He has to do onsite tests. [laughter]

Well, first, I don't believe that happened. I think a Trump stooge scoured some pawn shops or ebay and bought one for Trump.
DeleteSecond, I think Trump secretly parades around in private wearing that and other paraphernalia of power. Wouldn't be surprised if he had himself a scrambled egg covered military hat, a pseudo military uniform or even a crown. After all, we all know petty dictators with delusions of godhood always wear a pseudo military uniform or have themselves crowned.
Chickenshit Trump. He won't release his taxes. He blamed everyone else for his Family Freakshow Hatefest, aka RNC. He has blamed the Democrats for rigging two scheduled debates, and he has already started whining how the election is rigged, in case he loses. Trumpclown never takes responsibility. Narcissist never do. Pitiful little masn.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2016/08/02/trump_s_rigged_comments_are_the_most_dangerous_thing_he_s_said_yet.html
DeleteAnd when Trump loses, the Republicans will use it as proof of voter fraud and ramp up disenfranchisement even more.
DeleteNo, I don't think they'll believe the election was rigged. They'll know Trump lost all on his own. But they'll still use it as an excuse because it is the only way they can survive as a party.
I expect the polls will bounce around BUT my feeling is that Clinton is >= +5 points on dumpsterfire from here on out. The caveat is if something bad happens of course. The 538.com graph of "How the odds have changed," especially the post-convention part, is just AMAZING! Can the country save itself from destruction? It just might. It. Just. Might.
ReplyDeleteYes, we can!
DeleteThat doesn't matter.
DeleteIt's the electoral MAP that matters.
Well, yesterday I saw Sean Smith's unstable mother (Hillary lied to me, I want answers even though my son's wife is immediate family) on CNN and this morning there was a father of another person (Cook) who died in Benghazi and blames Hillary, and this morning Trump's son, Eric, was on TV explaining that his father was attacked by the Khans and had nothing to apologize for, plus the Khans are being accused of ties to extremists, so it looks like things are ratcheting up and the Khans are not going to be able to quietly step back like they had hoped to. It looks like Trump really wants a fight using the gold star families. It should hurt him, but in doing so he also keeps people thinking about Benghazi. I so wish that Sean Smith's widow would come forward and make a statement to show that not every family member of those who died at Benghazi blame her and want Trump in the White House.
ReplyDeleteKhan is the turning point. And our President sees it! Look at what he said today about Trump.
DeleteIt really is troubling that we have now given Mercenaries (guns for hire) the same respect as active duty soldiers. Two of the four people killed were mercs.

DeleteSmith was one of four Americans killed in the Benghazi attack. He was posthumously awarded the U.S. Department of State's Thomas Jefferson Star for Foreign Service on May 3, 2013.[9] On the day of his death, Smith typed a message to the director of his online gaming corporation that read, "Assuming we don't die tonight. We saw one of our 'police' that guard the compound taking pictures."[5]
HE WAS PLAYING A ONLINE VIDEO GAME in REAL TIME.

NEVER a mention of how many embassies were invaded and lives lost in both W's and Raygun's administrations. That's what pisses me off!
DeleteThe people who support The Donald that I have talked to do not seem to be very informed about him or about how things work in government. There seems to be a lot of them and they seriously make me worry as a nation have we gone over the cliff.
ReplyDeleteA lot of them are Russian robots on social media. Not even kidding! Russian bots for Trump.
DeleteAnd the hits keep coming. Stories about Donald having five draft deferments to his being in the bag for Putin to his dismal business record.
ReplyDeleteDonald of course, thinks that all the stories that are not favorable are unfair. And why are they not running stories about Hillary. Hillary has had more negative stories run about her than just about anyone. The trouble for Donald is those stories are in yesterday's newspaper as Hillary has been getting hammered for the last 25 years. There really isn't much to write about Hillary that has not been written.
This is not the primary; it is the general election. Trump better go and find some big boy paints to put on. Right now, he sounds like a whiny child.
"A whiny little bitch."
DeleteFACT. "“The wind kills ALL your birds,” Trump said. “ALL your birds, killed. You know, the environmentalists never talk about that.”"A study cited by the Audubon Society estimates that as many as 328,000 birds are killed each year by wind turbines.
ReplyDeleteother studies have claimed that between 365 and 988 Million birds die every year from crashing into windows. Other studies claim that pet cats slaughter literally Billions of birds per year.
How many more in the Wild world Die every year?
But it sounds so much scarier if you say, 'the wind kills ALL your birds. All of them. Someone told me, I was talking to a bird watchers who sees this every day and it's SO sad. And the Democrats are all for killing birds and babies, and they are out to get me too. They re jealous, just so jealous of my success in business and my beautiful kids who love me, they tell me that all the time, such great love from my kids. I tell you, I have the best personality ever. the most money. The hottest wife. And I know how the world works. But the birds..we have to save the birds. Bring back the coal miners." Or something,
DeleteCats kill way more birds than wind generation. Plus cats are all over and take out a wider variety of birds.
DeleteA few get taken out by planes too, but not as much as cats.
Yea, and he also said that if Ivanka weren't his daughter he would be so dating her. How do you like them apples?

ReplyDeleteTrump regarding a crying baby at his Ashburn, Virginia, rally:
ReplyDelete"Don’t worry about that baby. I love babies," Trump said after hearing the baby crying during an aside about the trade imbalance. "Don’t worry about it. I love babies. I hear that baby crying, I like it. What a baby. What a beautiful baby. Don’t worry, don’t worry. The mom’s running around like—don’t worry about it, you know. It’s young and beautiful and healthy and that’s what we want.”
Trump then returned to his non-baby-related remarks, only to hear the baby make more noise.
“They have ripped us to shreds, ripped us absolutely to shreds," Trump said of China, before turning back to the woman with the child.
“Actually, I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here," the Republican nominee said to laughter and applause. "That’s all right. Don’t worry. I, I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking. That’s OK. People don’t understand. That’s OK."

Don't get complacent! Make sure your elderly family members, elderly friends and elderly neighbors are registered and have a photo ID. Do it now! With any luck Don the Con will continue to be the unpatriotic asshole he is, say even worse, and lose even more voters.
Trumpelthinskin covers up his previous faux pas with one even bigger. But I think it will be hard for him to come up with some bigger and more offensive to take the public's mind off of his vile attacks on the Khan Family. Plus in trying to defend himself, he has opened the door to scrutiny of his own record. Is draft status and deferments. And exactly how successful he is, how many he has employed, who he has and hasn't paid and those pesky tax records.
Wait three weeks. If anything Hillary's numbers will improve, Despicable Drumpf's will drop and that's pretty much how it will remain for the remainder of the campaigns.

ReplyDeleteWe saw the horrible effects of what narcissistic psychopaths do to a nation, by way of Palin. Trump is a conman, his affinity for Vladmir Putin is just his way of gaining more business opportunities in Russia, which will be protected by the surrounding powers of Putin's. Otherwise, to run a business in Russia that's not protected from the reach of the Russian mafia will result to so much loss. That is the Russian way.
This is why Trump is willing to sell America, for his selfish aggrandisement. It's always been about the money for Trump. Just like he's lied to gullible Americans and railed against China, while he's always done business with them. And he's always privately done everything he's blamed our government officials of doing with China.
"This man is a pathological liar, he doesn't know the difference between truth and lies ... in a pattern that is straight out of a psychology text book, he accuses everyone of lying, Whatever lie he's telling, at that minute he believes it ... the man is utterly amoral," - Senator Ted Cruz.
