You know the problem with lying after a report is declassified, is that people can check the report and see that you are lying.Gross negligence by the Democratic National Committee allowed hacking to take place. The Republican National Committee had strong defense!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 7, 2017
For instance:
Russia collected on some Republican-affiliated targets but did not conduct a comparable disclosure campaign.
It's not that Russia could not hack the Republicans, they DID hack the Republicans.
It's just that, unlike the data they stole from the Democrats, they did not leak any of that information because they wanted the Republicans, and their puppet, to win in 2016.
Also false. See my post from yesterday.Intelligence stated very strongly there was absolutely no evidence that hacking affected the election results. Voting machines not touched!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 7, 2017
No it is because they used that information to help a totally unqualified candidate, who they could manipulate, "win" the presidency.Only reason the hacking of the poorly defended DNC is discussed is that the loss by the Dems was so big that they are totally embarrassed!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 7, 2017
Well it looks like it's time for Trump to attempt to sweep this all under the rug, and tell us all to move on again.
Having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. Only "stupid" people, or fools, would think that it is bad! We.....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 7, 2017
have enough problems around the world without yet another one. When I am President, Russia will respect us far more than they do now and....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 7, 2017
To be clear this is our new commander-in-chief telling us to ignore the fact that the Russians stole information from the government and political organizations in order to manipulate the outcome of our election, so that we can all be friends again.both countries will, perhaps, work together to solve some of the many great and pressing problems and issues of the WORLD!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 7, 2017
Just for a moment, try to imagine how Doanld Trump would be reacting if this whole thing were switched around and Russia had hacked HIS friends and political party in order to steal the election for Hillary.
Well that is how all of us should continue to react to what actually happened.
Not so fast, Commie Donny!
ReplyDeleteThe whole world will be watching you when you fall. Bigly.
And you can take that to the bank...whichever bank will have you.
We will continue to fight.
Bank? The First National Bank of Moscow, Paul Manafort CFO. Trump has to pay to play or the oligarchs will foreclose on his Russian loans. The election was rigged and Don the Con had better be careful or he will be caught in Putin's snare.
DeleteDon the Con is unable to be careful. He is already caught in Putin's snare. The question is: Are the rest of us caught also?
DeleteInsofar as we do not read, or read NE and its ilk, we are.
Insofar as we get involved NOW, somehow, follow Bernie or Elizabeth -- not sure yet -- we might be able to come to our senses as a country. Not that clear at present.
Yes, the whole world will watch Trump have his "bigly" crash but he's going to take the rest of us down too. The promise of this incoming administration is inspiring states like Michigan, totally controlled by the GOP. Right now the state is considering eliminating the income tax. Our governor should look at how well (NOT) Kansas is doing. Republicans really do not care about debts and deficits; they only talk about them. What they really want to do is undermine what remains of the social "safety nets" nationally and state by state. Give them a couple of years and they will have gutted the country completely. And who will profit most from that? Someone like Putin, of course.
DeleteBeaglemom
Beagle mom, you are totally wrong. Republicans do care about debts and deficits and will continue to d so for thirteen more days. After all deficits are only important when a Democrat is President.
DeleteWhat I want to know is what the Russians are doing with the goodies they've got on the GOP. Think of this grip as by the short hairs.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why Donny the puppet has to be so nice to Putin for one. They got the goods on him. It's their insurance.
DeleteI have no doubt that their attack on the United States was two-fold:
Delete1. hacking and leaking information from the Democrats and planting false news stories to sway the election
2. hacking information from the Republicans, and Trump specifically, to use as blackmail to control the White House after the election was won
The Republicans in Congress are likely terrified of the dirt the Russians might have collected on Trump that they will not hesitate to use. We've already learned about enough scummy things he's done that would have sunk another candidate. Can you just imagine what other horrific scandals he's been involved in that we DON'T know about?

I believe it goes past financial dealings and into criminal dealings. Putin could probably release enough information to Americans to put Trump in prison.

He truly is one unhinged character that will never be a success as potus!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a man whine and cry like he does! It's way past time that someone in his group shut him up as he looks worse and worse to all of us (and the world) as each day passes! It's already apparent he is not going to be able to take the pressure of the job!
And, he should NEVER be allowed to take the oath of office for potus! He's proven to us already that he is going to be a disaster in the role!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if they sneak Hillary in to take the oath at the last minute.

Oh, and the blustering bully act? Mussolini did it a long time ago and much better than you; check the history books to see what it got him.
World domination is Putin's game and ambition. Trump is his puppet. Putin will gain strength in a short amount of time now that Trump is pres.

I'm pasting in part of what I read on Yahoo just now. I really like how Robert Reich sums things up. I do get that the Clintons are in between a rock and a hard place, but there has been and will continue to be this issue of "normalizing" Trump if people, as they see it, always take the high road.
ReplyDeleteThere are times, like now, when wanting to show that the country comes first doesn't really help. Trump's atrocities are that bad. If he has committed crimes--and we know he has--then to my mind no one should be doing a thing to legitimize him. And if you believe he has assaulted women, then how the hell do you let that freak touch you, shake your hand or embrace you in public let alone private? We know damn well Trump will want PR with The Bushes and Clintons and Obamas so as to, in his mind, cement that he is "one of them." He'll never be one of them.
Well, the ex-presidents/spouses are going. But they should make it clear to Trump's people that no way in hell should he dare touch them, especially the wives.
As always, I am wishing for Lardass' heart attack.
Check out Reich's words:
"It's really hard to look at this inauguration the same way that we have looked at all others," says Bendat, author of the inaugural history book, "Democracy's Big Day." Many performers "don't see Donald Trump as the type of person that they want to identify with because of the way that he campaigned for more than a year."
Robert Reich, a former Bill Clinton administration official, thinks politicians should feel the same way. After the Clintons said they would attend the inauguration, Reich tweeted that "by attending Trump's inauguration, they're normalizing it - as if Trump were just another president."
"The underlying issue here isn't the normal and noble desire to overcome partisanship and promote a peaceful transition of power," Reich added in an email. "It's that Donald Trump became president by lying, demeaning women, denigrating racial and ethnic minorities, denying intelligence reports of foreign intervention in our election, excusing violence against opponents, and undermining the freedom and independence of the press."
At the very least, they should dodge all attempts at a photo op if the Trumps attempt it. Let him be shunned as the pariah he is.
DeleteAnyone know if Melania is going to grace the spectacle with her presence? Or will Barron have a convenient cold?
I was just reading the comments after a good article by Kathleen Parker that asked: if Obama's a Muslim, does that make Trump a Russian spy? I cracked up when I read one comment referring to fat Trump on the golf course as BLOTUS. Ha.
ReplyDeleteLook at the time stamps -- what is he doing for the eight or thirteen minutes between one tweet and its follow-up? Buttering his toast and scarfing down a couple of sausages -- then taking time to wipe the grease off his hands before rushing back to his twitter account?
ReplyDeleteDamn that he takes a cholesterol med and an aspirin every day. That's how he operates. He thinks that if he does that, then he can eat all the fatty junk he wants. He is asking for a heart attack, and I sure hope he gets what he's asking for. His med needs to give up a losing battle. Let him croak. Melania should have replaced it with a placebo a long time ago.
DeleteMultiple Trump hotels were hacked twice last year, once in December 2015 and again in April, guests credit card numbers were exposed by the hack, yet he has the audacity to disparage the DNC regarding their hack? He never fails to amuse, that's for sure.

I don't which affliction or both is more terrifying.
I do know the whole scenario is universally terrifying. We have to fight back against the entire cyber war the Russians have been waging for years worldwide.
We start with the school board and county comishes...get it, people?
The sleep deprivation alone will cause the mental health issues.
DeleteUnfortunately, in his case, I don't think 8 hours a night will cure him.
Wouldn’t you hate to be in his head at 3 p.m? It must be terrifying.

Let's keep asking what Russia has on Trump. Financial dealings (illegal ones)? Caught with hookers? Male hookers? There has to be something. And something Really Big. There is no other reason that Trump is sucking so hard on Putin's dick. How long can he keep this up...
ReplyDeleteI have read in more than one place that he was "compromised" during a trip to Russia, most likely when the Miss Universe pageant was held there. Shitbag Jr. has said many times that they have a lot of business with Russia, and the tax returns probably tell a lurid tale of just how many foreign governments he's beholden to.
DeleteI still chuckle knowing that 48% of voting Americans voted a Reality TV Star to be President of the United States. That is a special kind of stupid, we as a nation will never be able to live this down. Shame on America
ReplyDeleteKeith Olbermann has a video series on YouTube about Fat Donald. Huff Post has one on their site today. It's supposed to be addressed to Fat Donald voters, and he states several times, in a calm, quiet voice that there's something wrong with him. He's not right. He's not well. And he's not.
