The sports brand Reebok is mocking President Trump’s compliments of French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife that were made during Trump's visit to France last week.
The sports apparel company posted a graphic to their Twitter account on Friday.
In a chart, labeled “when is it appropriate to say, ‘You’re in such good shape…beautiful’” several scenarios are listed, including “Are you a world leader greeting the spouse of a head of state?” and “Are you in an elevator with a woman." In response, the company advises: “No.”
“Did you just find a forgotten action figure from your youth, unscathed after decades, in your parents’ basement?” is the only scenario on the chart that is labeled as appropriate for Trump’s quote.
Of course the ad is in response to this interaction between Trump and First Lady Brigitte Macron.
Mocked on television, mocked in the news, and now even mocked in advertisements.
I guess this is what the Trumpsters call "winning?"
Donald Trump causes a lot of controversy.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
He must have really been holding back grabbing her by the p[$$y.
ReplyDeleteTrump. Even Reebok is laughing at him for treating the elegant First Lady of France like a ... well ... like a big beautiful piece of Mar-a-Lago chocolate cake!
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to reading that a country is preparing for a visit from trump by setting explicit protocols that he will keep his tiny, sticky paws to himself and his greetings will be limited to "Hello." Any deviations will result in his immediate escort out of fondling/grabbing range of any females who are present. If the female in question is the head of state, she may make an executive decision to just directly knee him in the groin. Her choice. Out of respect for a visiting head of state, the band will of course continue to play The Star-Spangled Banner during the embarrassing (for the US) spectacle.
ReplyDeleteHandshakes will be limited to hands only (no shoulder grabbing) and will last for no more than 5 seconds. Any deviations will result in the hand shakee laughing right in his face and asking what the hell is wrong with him and to let the fuck go of his/her hand. The band will strike up the theme from Benny Hill.
Did I see pictures of him saluting the French Army marching in the parade? Is this appropriate? I swear, the man has the common sense of a dead worm after a rainstorm.
DeleteNo. It is not appropriate for the U.S. president to salute the French Army.
DeleteI had heard there were going to be U.S. troops also taking part in the parade. I seem to recall they were practicing drills with the French prior to the event, so it is possible he was saluting U.S. troops.
But given what we know of the Doofus in Chief, I'm not holding my breath.
I thought the videos of trump in France were quite disturbing. The stupidity of the bizarrely lengthy handshake with Macron was nothing more than trump desperately trying to prove in front of cameras that he was in charge and that he controlled Macron. It didn't make him look strong and in charge of course. It made him look like a petty and rude asshole who didn't have a clue about how to behave in public.
ReplyDeleteAs far as his treatment of Macron's wife, he was just a disgusting pig. He made it clear that physical contact between them would end when *he* decided to end it and not until then. Again with the power and control trip. And his leering and inappropriate comments were just disgusting. Apparently it just never occurred to him that she had professional accomplishments that it would be reasonable to mention.
I really want to see people greet him with their hands in their pockets and laugh at him. "Shake hands with you? Are you nuts? You don't know how. We need to see that you can behave outside a wrestling ring." As for females, whether heads of state or the spouses of one? I would like to see them just not allow physical contact. No handshaking. No arm around the waist, ass-patting, etc. All controlled not by trump and his compulsive power and control ego trip, but by a superbly trained and expert bodyguard.
I agree, Nefer. i wouldn't shake his hand and I'd avoid having to be with either Trump or the third wife. And the whole implication of the rude remark about how good the French First Lady looked was about that she looked good for a woman of her age (significantly older than her husband).
DeleteImagine if Trump's introduced to Queen Elizabeth and tries either his questionable handshake or the smart*** remark about "looking good" . . . .
Beaglemom
Trump is definitely what we women consider a creep.
DeleteHow pathetic to need to "win" even during a customary handshake.
He's not a creep. He's a DIRTY OLD MAN.
Delete(Well, he's also a creep but he is a DOM first.)
And so the out of shape wacko old ugly man puts this Beautiful Royal First Lady on notice that he is the famous perv of the usa and noticed her body.
ReplyDeleteThis woman surely is up to date on don john trump and his nasty dirty statements around the world.
She should have fired back with yes and I noticed your lying fat ass too bonswah.
It is terrible to subject her to that liar.
On Sarah's FB page, they are gushing about 'our beautiful accomplished First Lady who "loves kids and they love her" after her visit to that school. The kids I saw were staring at her, not smiling. And they are SO impressed that she can speak a little Italian and German. Um, she'Slovakian-they learn those languages in primary school. But to the Palinites, she is 'worldly' and 'smart' and 'so beautiful.' My God, she's a porn model third wife, and they applaud her? I bet they are 'good Christians' too. Stunning.
DeleteThe third wife's only accomplishment is having been photographed without clothes or with very little clothing on and always with a pouty face. As for speaking multiple languages, she grew up in Europe so she learned in school (from elementary school on) to make herself understood in several languages. (I'm sure that Russian was one of her languages but no one mentions that.) If her English, after all these years in her NYC bunker, is an example of her linguistic skills, I'd not mention them so much. In consideration, kindness and interest in other people, the third wife's no match for Michelle Obama; even Laura Bush was much more gracious than the third wife.
DeleteBeaglemom
Saw an old magazine in the doctor's office this week. Sad, miserable Melania on the cover as 'The Reluctant First Lady'. Can you imagine the embarrassment she experienced with this fat oaf before he reached international status?
Delete5:36 AM, she's Slovenian, not Slovakian.
DeleteYou know, it seems that ReTHUGS never get it until they, themselves (and in rare displays of their stunted empathy, their close family) experience the verbal or physical assault.
ReplyDeleteSo... here we go, Donald, you're in crappy physical shape, you look like a bloated pear... ugly.
Poor lady. Did you notice when the American perverted President Trump was mentally grabbing a handful of the French president's wife's bush, she grabbed Melania's arm and tried to hide behind Melania's body seeking shelter and safety?
ReplyDeleteYes, it was so obvious. Tough place for Melania to be--physically defending another woman from her POS husband who is POTUS. I don't like porn model, gold-digger Melania at all--she chose to marry this offensive nut-case, but admit I felt a bit of sympathy for her.
DeleteFrance and Germany are now the leaders of the free world and I'm OK with that. Kudos to Canada also.
It's obvious donnie didn't receive adequate and effective home training. As a child, before even going to school, I was taught not to make personal comments about others, how to converse politely with others, and how to shake hands when greeting others (always look them in the eye and give a firm, QUICK shake). Someone failed to teach this uncivilized, ogling, grotesque pervert the rudiments of social interaction. He has no idea how ignorant, how childish, how STUPID he looks! Since he apparently is unable to learn proper decorum, I agree with other comments that world leaders and their spouses should simply not shake his hand.
ReplyDeleteI used to teach sixth grade.
DeleteI actually taught my class to shake hands. I lined them up and for a week when they entered the classroom we shook hands and I critiqued them. "Too short" "Too long" "Too Strong" "Too weak". By the end of the week they had all perfected the exact right amount of pressure "up/down let go".
I told them this was a life skill, like being on time, getting your work done on time and being able to speak confidently one one one and in front of an audience. I said that the handshake was one of the most valuable job interview skills they could learn.
I know some of them paid attention. I met a former student at Home Depot years later who told me. He had started in the stock room and was now assistant manager.
Melania is a disgrace to the women of the world. Why didn't Melania slap the shit out her husband for offending that woman in front of Melania. After slapping the shit out of her husband, she should have taken Uber to the airport and flown on a commercial jet to Washington D.C. and abducted her son The Barron and fled to a undisclosed location.
ReplyDeletePlease, please, please keep our National Embarrassment away from Queen Elizabeth. Though I would find it amusing to see a Palace guard take him out.
ReplyDeleteThat trip is canceled. I doubt the invitation will be repeated.
DeleteThe Queen is very gracious but I'll bet even she draws the line at Donald Judas Trump.
If President Obama did that, would Sarah Palin just stand by with no comments like she is doing now after President Trump embarrassed America?
ReplyDeleteIs it just me? The wife of the French First Lady seems to fall in the category of women should be seen and not heard? She looks like she is fragile with no self worth, or confidence in her own worth or abilities. She is quiet with no self-respect. If she had any self-esteem she would have confronted President Trump and put him in his place.
ReplyDeleteIt's called "decorum." Man oh man, can people make whit up in their heads!
DeleteHonestly 7:14, your comments about France's first lady are far more accurate when applied to Melania Trump, FLOTUS.
DeleteRarely seen (since she's hiding in Trump Tower away from DJT) and not heard (because of her broken English).
Fragile (so very thin due to Donald wanting her to lose the baby fat acquired by her bargain to have baby Barron).
No self worth (since she has obviously over done the plastic surgery).
Quiet--well Melania has been in the U.S. for decades and she still speaks broken English.
If Malania had any self-confidence or speaking ability she wouldn't have to plagiarize speeches from Michelle Obama.
Let me correct your last sentence. If MELANIA had any self-esteem she would have confronted HER HUSBAND President Trump and put him in his place.
IMO Melania should have divorced his ass years ago, but probably couldn't take the chance on losing her son. You know DJT would call her early (porn) life into question make her out an unfit mother.
No self worth (since she has obviously over done the plastic surgery).
DeleteI would argue, based on what I've seen publicly, the lack of self esteem is because of spousal abuse.
And I bet you are correct, she fears losing her son.
If she confronts him, she risks losing Barron and being physically assaulted by an angry bully who is twicer her size and prides himself on his vidictiveness.
I think Melania is gambling on outliving the orange douche. Unfortunately for her, once he dies she'll find out he was in a mountain of debt and there is no fortune to inherit. She and Barron will be lucky if Fredo and Adolf don't cut her out completely.
Delete7:14 AM, it's just you. She was a HS lit teacher. President Macron was one of her pupils. Don't sell her short.
DeleteAnybody on this blog pay attention to current events?
BREAKING NEWS 1 HOUR AGO
ReplyDeletePresident Trump wants to take his "I Want To Be Loved Tour" from the states he won during the Presidential Election to across the pond.
CNBC NEWS:
Trump reportedly asked May to 'fix' a warm welcome for his UK state visit
• "When I know I'm going to get a better reception, I'll come and not before," Trump told May in a private conversation.
•A transcript of the chat, seen by senior diplomats and leaked to the newspaper, revealed that he was concerned about negative press coverage in the U.K.
President Donald Trump reportedly urged U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May to ensure he gets a warm welcome in Britain for his state visit—warning that he would not visit the country until he had been given guarantees, a British newspaper reported on Sunday....
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/16/trump-reportedly-asked-may-to-fix-a-warm-welcome-for-his-uk-state-visit.html
What is this shit?
DeleteTo (fill in the leader's name) of (fill in country's name), If you want me to visit your country then I demand assurances that no protesters will be in my vicinity and that I will receive the same reception as I did in Poland.
-President of the United States of America
Fuck you. Take your fat ass to Mar-A-Lago where you are guaranteed you will be loved.
DeleteThis is old news. That trip is already on permanent hold.
DeleteYou'd think given his reception in Hamburg he'd know better than to think May could arrange a reception of happy peasants like Poland did.
May will be out soon. She has bigger fish to fry than Donald Judas Trump. Like trying to create a government after her disastrous election loss. She'll be out at the next election and whoever is in is not going to repeat that ill-advised, undeserved invitation.
I was wondering how long it would take for little donnie to put is foot in his mouth regarding Marcon’s wife.
ReplyDeleteHe never fails to deliver idiotic remarks. I am just surprised he didn’t mention her age, the age difference between the two and the “scandal” of their romance.
"The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the time,
ReplyDeletebut to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment."
Trump proves yet again that no amount of money 'buys' sophistication.
