Well this should certainly help put those charges that Trump is a racist Nazi sympathizer to rest.NEWS: President Trump pardons former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio, per @WhiteHouse statement. pic.twitter.com/Ro2IQhWfns— PBS NewsHour (@NewsHour) August 26, 2017
Update: So Arpaio earlier this week called into Info Wars to thank Alex Jones for helping to convince Donald Trump to pardon him.
To be clear, this is the Commander-in-Chief giving a middle finger to the Constitution by pardoning a man who defied a judge's order, after he was convinced to do so by a renowned conspiracy theorist.
Trump's America is a terrifying place indeed.

Sad Gorka Resigns
ReplyDeletehttp://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/sad-gorka-resigns
In a blunt resignation letter, the national security and counterterrorism expert expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Trump administration. “[G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House,” Gorka wrote. “As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the People’s House.”

“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” Trump wrote in July 26 tweet. “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.”
Trump’s initial announcement was greeted with criticism from Democrats and Republicans, many of whom said it was discriminatory toward transgender people willing to volunteer to serve their country.
“Any American who meets current medical and readiness standards should be allowed to continue serving,” said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in a statement issued after Trump’s Twitter announcement of the ban. “There is no reason to force service members who are able to fight, train and deploy to leave the military — regardless of their gender identity.”
i shall miss John McCain. a republican with a level head. sure, he's had his moments, but he has made it good and clear that he does not like trump and is not afraid to stand up to him. with a brain tumour, yet.

WTF???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteYeah I think it's a pattern
DeleteRumors are, when Obama came to Alaska, he did some legal dirty deeds. Signed paperwork that acts as a stall tactic. That will bite them all in the ass soon enough. Don't STEAL!
And don't lie about it.
No one likes a thief. Shrug
By pardoning Arpaio Trump just told the nation Arpaio was guilty, and Arpaio, by accepting the pardon admitted as much.
ReplyDeleteVery good legal point.
DeleteOh yeah. I see.
DeleteThe tiny fingered one child.
I wonder, if Arpaio now can be charged on the state level. Since he has admitted guilt, and has been pardoned by Tiny Hands, he still can be put away by the state...
DeleteOtherwise, he better watch his back, because there are now a multitude of people who have nothing to lose anymore, and for whom three square meals with some striped clothes would be an improvement!
He was convicted in July of criminal contempt, I'd say that makes him look pretty darn guilty.
Deletehe made his prisoners camp outside in 100 degree heat, fed them garbage, and pocked money meant to treat his prisoners with a decent diet and safe conditions. too bad he'll never suffer like that. (the lunch meat was GREEN). i don't believe in coddling criminals but a decent standard should be up held.

Shortly after the “good luck” incident, Trump’s staff appeared to try to clean up the mess by posting this tweet on his official Twitter account: “Just arrived at Camp David where I am closely watching the path and doings of Hurricane Harvey, as it strengthens to a Category 3. BE SAFE!” But the staff got its wires crossed one way or the other, because just nine minutes later, his account posted a highly similar yet less-refined tweet that appeared to have been written by Trump himself: “Just arrived at Camp David, where I am monitoring the path and doings of Hurricane Harvey (as it strengthens to a Class 3). 125 MPH winds!”
ReplyDeleteRemarkably, twenty-five minutes later, neither tweet has been deleted. That leave his Twitter account looking like this:

But....where are we going to deliver our dog poop?
DeleteO/T - Fuckin' coward trump tells people in harm's way of the impending hurricane "good luck" whilst he goes golfing AGAIN!! He probably meant "good luck" in getting FEMA disaster relief and funding for all of the post-storm damage! He has not even appointed directors for FEMA or DHS! Will this be his "good job Brownie" moment??
ReplyDeleteThere will be tremendous damage after this storm passes, meaning that a lot of building materials, particularly lumber and plywood will be needed for re-building. As soon as domestic supplies run out, more needs to be imported to meet demand. However, since the stupid fat fuck imposed a 24% tariff on Canadian lumber, it will drive up costs substantially!
If he fails to deliver much needed aid in a reasonable time frame (remember Dubya's fuck-ups post-Katrina), his "base" may turn against him. Then again, if they need more lumber, we could place another 24% levy to send a message. Or, he can consider dropping the tariff, which I highly doubt. Either way, he is too fuckin' stupid to think logically!

DeleteHe designated Texas a disaster area before the storm ever touched land.

Didn't want his weekend interrupted I guess.
This pardon is a test run to see the reaction of people and test the water for those caught up in the Mueller investigation.
ReplyDeleteYet one more test of loyalty -- he's like a child acting out to test his parents. I think he wants to be punished, knows he is wrong and disdains everyone who just lets him get away with another shameful act.
DeleteHow will he know what the reaction is?
DeleteHis twice a day propaganda writer has resigned.
“This is the crime that Trump is suggesting he might pardon: willful defiance of a federal judge’s lawful order to enforce the Constitution,” explained Prof. Noah Feldman. “Such a pardon would reflect outright contempt for the judiciary, which convicted Arpaio for his resistance to its authority. Trump has questioned judges’ motives and decisions, but this would be a further, more radical step in his attack on the independent constitutional authority of Article III judges.”
ReplyDelete“An Arpaio pardon would express presidential contempt for the Constitution,” Prof. Feldman continued. “From this analysis it follows directly that pardoning Arpaio would be a wrongful act under the Constitution.”
http://www.rawstory.com/2017/08/remedy-is-impeachment-harvard-law-prof-on-trump-pardoning-joe-arpaio/
"a wrongful act" -- Trump is giving the Constitution the middle finger -- WTF you gonna do about it, do about me, he is saying... well, America? Fucking do something!
DeleteWhy is anybody surprised? This is DJT's shtick. As the pressure from Mueller increases, he will do anything to deflect attention while "dog-whistling" his base. Remember $arah?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Mueller won't be denied and the GOP is now face to face with their crazy. They own it. Now, watch them try to redeem themselves. I'm afraid the ride is just beginning for them. Greed makes them blind.

This appears to be a tit for tat. Don is really bringing the country together. Never have we witnessed such a great example of leadership and character. An example for our young boys and men. America getting raped by a con artist and liar in broad daylight. Even a nasty dirty liar can cheat and steal a usa presidential election.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately he didn't really "steal" the election, we've let it happen slowly over the last 3 decades as the GOP gerrymandered the shit out of each and every state they could.
DeleteWe watched it happen, the media covered it, we bitched about it, and now we sit, liberals and progressives, winning the popular vote yet unable to secure the election, and it's only going to get worse unless the courts see reason and reverse some of these obvious gerrymandering decisions or if we manage to elect strong progressive leaders that will undo the damage.
Until then, welcome to reality. Don't forget to vote in your local and state elections. This is where the damage is done.
He's doing these outrageous things, promising the wall, banning transgenders and pardoning Arpaio to appeal to his ever-shrinking base, all while alienating even more normal Americans.
ReplyDeleteAppealing only to his base is a surefire way to ensure that he is never re-elected, so hey, you go Donald, you keep that base happy because really, 4 years is going to be plenty of you and your associates.
He wont last four years unless the Republican Party is willing to become the champions of the alt right hate filled base.

ReplyDeleteEx-Clinton aide reveals how the Arpaio pardon is Trump’s way of ‘sending a signal’ to Mueller’s targets — and it’s jaw-dropping
ReplyDelete...“On the Arpaio thing, yes, he has a soft spot for white nationalist, we all knew that,” Begala continued. “And yes he wants to flaunt the rule of law and he’s an autocrat wannabe. I think there’s another game here he’s playing. He wants to send a signal to the targets of the Mueller investigation that ‘if you hold tight and don’t roll on me, I’ll pardon you.’ Because Mueller is going after Trump associates first.”
Begala’s comment took Maher by surprise and the two agreed that “all roads lead to Russia with this guy.”
“It’s the Rosetta Stone of his poor mangled brain is always thinking about Russia,” Begala joked.
Maher said that it makes perfect sense, because Trump did what he always does. “He owed Russia money and he didn’t want to pay them so he gave them America.”

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/gorka-security-clearance-revoke_us_59a0eb66e4b06d67e337bcdb?section=us_politics
"The conservative web site The Federalist reported on Friday that Gorka resigned with a scathing letter accusing “forces” in the White House of working against Trump’s agenda. However, a White House official told Yahoo News that Gorka did not leave of his own accord.
“Sebastian Gorka did not resign, but I can confirm he no longer works at the White House,” the official said.
According to the Washington Examiner’s Sarah Westwood, Gorka said it was “disappointing” that the White House said he was fired, because “I resigned.”
A source with knowledge of the situation said Gorka did indeed resign—but only after being informed on Friday by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly that his security clearance had been revoked, which would have made it impossible for him to continue in his White House job. Gorka was on vacation at the time and due to return on Monday. Instead, after hearing from Kelly, he submitted his resignation."
Bwa ha ha ha ha!

I wonder why his security clearance was revoked, there must have been a reason.
