Courtesy of NBC News:
North Korea's foreign minister said Monday that President Donald Trump has "declared war" on his country and that Kim Jong Un's regime would consider shooting down American bombers.
"Since the U.S. declared war on our country, we will have every right to make countermeasures, including the right to shoot down the U.S. bombers even when they are not yet inside the airspace border of our country," Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told reporters in New York.
"Last weekend, Trump claimed that our leadership wouldn't be around much longer and he declared a war on our country," he added. "Even the fact that this comes from someone who is currently holding the seat of the U.S. presidency is clearly a declaration of war."
Jesus Christ!
You know I totally agree that North Korea is a bad actor and deserves to be dealt with harshly.
But there are a lot of far more effective ways to do that then to force them into a corner where they feel they have no choice but to use military force to prove they are not intimidated.
This Kim Jong Un is clearly extremely insecure about his hold on his country and his actual power in the world.
That is something that could be used against him by an real leader with a strategic mind.
Unfortunately for us we also have a leader who is extremely insecure about his hold on his country and his actual power in the world.
And that does not bode well for a peaceful resolution to this situation.
P.S. Later Trump operatives came out to say they are NOT declaring war on North Korea, but the problem is that North Korea is listening to what Donald Trump says, not his operatives.
Another time his 'members' have to come out and counter the orange guys statements! Aren't they getting tired of it? Republicans, impeach his sorry bloviated ass! America needs to be rid of this - - - - (you pick the name - I can't print mine!).
ReplyDeleteTrump and Kim Jung Un have much more in common with one another than they would ever admit. Though Kim Jong Un probably has much bigger hands.
ReplyDeleteI would be staying away from windows.
DeleteNot gonna end well for one of these blowhards.
Bigger hands and better odd hair style. Jung Un is the winner.

ReplyDelete"Federal law makes it a crime for the President to wrongfully influence a private entity’s employment decisions, such as calling for a reporter to be fired for speaking out for partisan political reasons. In fact, the President is expressly included in the ethics law Congress set forth to prevent Presidents from using the “bully pulpit” in a fascist manner to direct the efforts of private businesses."
Delete"Today’s criminal ethics complaint against Trump is punishable by fines, and up to 15 years in prison if the President is ultimately charged, tried and convicted of the crime.
The relevant part of the federal law 18 USC 227 (a)2 reads:
Whoever, being a covered government person, with the intent to influence, solely on the basis of partisan political affiliation, an employment decision or employment practice of any private entity influences, or offers or threatens to influence, the official act of another, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than 15 years, or both, and may be disqualified from holding any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.
In this section, the term “covered government person” means the President, Vice President,"

There is nothing in the complaint (from the "Democratic Coalition Against Trump" lolol) that alludes to any statements from Trump as being 'racist'. Why would you input that lie?
Delete8:17, they're quoting the complaint. But his comments were racist.
Delete6:09- quote the racist comment Donald Trump made- Don't believe I have heard it.
DeleteTrump’s Tough Talk Is Failing As 53% Of Americans Fear He’s Leading U.S. Toward Nuclear War
ReplyDeleteTrump's tough talk is fooling no one, especially not the North Koreans, and Americans are feeling less safe as a result.
The reckless and unstable commander-in-chief has done just the opposite, using a speech to the United Nations to say he will “totally destroy” North Korea and again refer to Kim Jong-un as “rocket man.”
On Monday, the North Koreans said Trump’s remarks in that speech amounted to a “declaration of war” on their country, and they will shoot down U.S. bombers, even if they’re not in North Korea’s airspace.

I sure would like past living presidents to come out against him as a unified front. Why they do not is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. It might even make the difference between war and peace.
DeleteI think everyone is waiting for Meuller to present such a case that it cant be disputed or denied by either party. And then Republicans will feign disbelief like they are shocked by it all when in reality the majority want him gone and know exactly what he is. Business men with real power are now against him, like the NFL owners. Trump thinks he is a King and has more power than them. He is a want to be Dictator and is abusing the office of the Presidency by getting involved in matters he has no business in and it will cost him. The fool thinks he is untouchable because he keeps pushing the envelope and getting away with it. Just wait.
DeleteCan't they take his phone away, tell him to take a nap with his blanky and if he stays off twitter he gets two scoops of ice cream and gets another ride in air force one to go play golf.
ReplyDeleteWe have an immature idiot that needs a babysitter 24 7 . His idiot base which is the minority loves his "tough talk" .Every damn month is worse than the last, hell, every damn week is worse! Why are the Republicans putting up with it? It only hurts them now and in the future. Trump is like a cancer spreading without treatment.Meanwhile, back in non reality Trump is focusing on the NFL instead of Puerto Rico and citizens hurting. THIS crap is his priority so apparrently, A. He has too much time on his hands.
B. His priorities are screwed up.
C. He is an total fool who lives in a universe known only to him because he is his universe.
D. All of the above.
ALL insane mentally delusional dictators must be removed. We cannot allow trump or kim to continue this foolish nonsense. It must stop now. ALL dictators must be removed.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is a great day for Impeachment hearings to begin. Or even better amendment 25 enforced. Better yet immediate criminal charges filed.
ReplyDeleteI was only twelve years old at the time, so my personal memories of the Korean Armistice Agreement are somewhat fuzzy, but fortunately my first hit from Google got me:
ReplyDeletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_Armistice_Agreement
which says in part:
The armistice was signed on July 27, 1953, and was designed to "insure a complete cessation of hostilities and of all acts of armed force in Korea until a final peaceful settlement is achieved." No "final peaceful settlement" has been achieved.
In other words, the war which began June 25, 1950 is not over, just in abeyance. It seems to me that Kim is not really up on his own country's history.
In this article, http://www.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/05/24/armstrong.north.korea/index.html, dated May 26, 2010 10:19 a.m. EDT, Charles Armstrong wrote, Special to CNN, "The Korean War never ended".
The Korean War began 60 years ago on June 25, 1950, and it still hasn't ended. Fighting on the Korean Peninsula may have stopped with a cease-fire in July 1953, but North and South Korea have remained in a tense state of armed truce ever since, with open warfare just a hair-trigger away.
The sinking of the South Korean navy vessel Cheonan on March 26 [2010] -- which an international investigation team concluded last week to be the result of a North Korean torpedo attack -- shows how volatile the situation remains between North and South.
There is a real danger of the current [2010] war of words escalating into a shooting war, which would be a catastrophe for Korea and the surrounding region. But if all sides, including the United States, pull back from the brink, this tragedy may also present an opportunity to defuse tensions with North Korea and resume talks that have been on hold for the last two years.
One of the pee pond scum posted this contact to diss the NFL players - I say we show the boys some love with thank you letters: https://www.nflpa.com/players/contact
ReplyDeleteKim Jong Un picked a reasonable sounding operative. Can't say that about all of Trumps picks for operatives and advisors.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is confused with Trump, do you listen to his operatives or do you listen to Trump? They X each other out. Best to consider the worst case scenario as the final word.
The United States of America has declared war on North Korea.
Trump doesn't need to consult with Generals or go to Congress, he'll get his way one way or another. North Korea just wants everyone to remember who declared war. It is on. Now North Korea can fight back.
Can we air drop Trump on North Korea?
ReplyDeleteSlipstream, that would be just plain cruel!
DeleteFirst, the impact of such an incredible mass would be YUGE, potentially destroying the lower half of the country in one attack.
Second, the US could be charged with war crimes for using such a bloviated mass as an attack. The exposure to such a mass of hot air could rob the country of breathable air, which could be considered a gas attack.
Third, if we were to drop such a thing into the waters off the coast, the tsunami created would destroy whole towns for several miles inland.
Not nice.

ReplyDeleteHey, Gryph! $arah's lawyers have reopened her NYT suit again for reconsideration! hahahaha
ReplyDeleteI thought they couldn't reopen It? POOR DENSE Sarah. Dumb dann broad.
DeleteWhen Trump was elected I said he would start WWIII and it would be a nuclear war.
ReplyDeleteNorth Korea just happened to catch his attention.
He will nuke someone simply because as president he can. Remember he asked three times, why if we have nukes we don't use them.
If you or I said the leader of our country won't be around much longer, what do you think would happen? You can expect a visit from the Secret Service and they would determine how much of a threat you are.
ReplyDeleteWhy in the world would the president of our country say that about another leader. Yes with their mentality, they perceive that to be a threat.
"The White House has since issued a statement denying that Trump's tweet amounted to a declaration of war."

Black lawmaker kneels on House floor in solidarity with athletes
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) kneeled on the House floor Monday night to show solidarity with NFL players defying President Trump to protest police brutality.
Jackson Lee, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, blasted Trump for attacking NFL players who kneel during the national anthem at games to draw attention to the treatment of African Americans by law enforcement.
Then she took a knee herself.
