Kim Jong-un says that North Korea will shut down its nuclear weapons program if America promises not to invade.

Did that missile just crash into the ocean again?
Courtesy of the NYT:

North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, told President Moon Jae-in of South Korea when they met that he would abandon his nuclear weapons if the United States would agree to formally end the Korean War and promise that it would not invade his country, a South Korean government spokesman said Sunday.

In a faith-building gesture ahead of a summit meeting with President Trump, Mr. Kim also said he would invite experts and journalists from South Korea and the United States to watch the shutdown next month of his country’s only known underground nuclear test site.

The comments by Mr. Kim were made on Friday when the leaders of the two Koreas met at Panmunjom, a village on their shared border, the spokesman, Yoon Young-chan, said on Sunday, providing additional details of the meeting.

“I know the Americans are inherently disposed against us, but when they talk with us, they will see that I am not the kind of person who would shoot nuclear weapons to the south, over the Pacific or at the United States,” Mr. Kim told Mr. Moon, according to Mr. Yoon’s account of the meeting.

I'm sorry didn't he just fire missiles over Japan?

That's a little southish.

Besides the only reason that Jong-un is promising that he will not fire weapons at the United States is because his fucking missiles will not reach the United States.

And his promise to abandon his nuclear weapons program is most likely due to the fact that his testing site collapsed, and NOT because Trump scared him.

However the leader of North Korea has picked up on something that his former wives learned early on. If you shower Trump with praise ("Oh Donald it's the biggest I have ever seen.") he will give you whatever the fuck you want.

Essentially Kim Jong-un is playing Trump like a bloated orange tinted fiddle.

So about that meeting between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un.

Apparently the stupid hair club is negotiating a nuclear disarmament.
Courtesy of CNN:

President Donald Trump's stunning decision to meet Kim Jong Un sets up the prospect of the most mind-boggling diplomatic summit in modern history.

Trump, a reality star turned convention busting President, has dubbed Kim "Little Rocket Man" and threatened to rain fire and fury over North Korea, raising fears of a devastating war across the world's last Cold War frontier.

Kim, a portly 30-something whose state media recently blasted Trump as a "lunatic mean old trickster and human reject" presides over a prison state, purges his foes and has vowed to obliterate the US in a nuclear cloud.

The meeting, announced by a South Korean delegation at the White House on Thursday night, would, if it goes ahead, mark an unmatched moment of history in the 70-year standoff between the US and the isolated state.

In the short term, a meeting could defuse the spiraling tensions between the US and North Korea that have raised fears the two nations are on an accelerating slide to a clash that could kill millions on the Korean peninsula.

Now if I had not been observing Doanld Trump carefully these last two years, and only knew him from his reality show and appearances on the Howard Stern Show, I would not think he had a chance of pulling this off.

But having paid close attention since well before he announced his intention to run for president, I KNOW he cannot pull this off.

Kim Jong Un is a man who has murdered members of his own family, and engaged in literally every human rights violation known to man, including starvation, torture, and slavery.

Donald Trump is an arrogant man child, with no diplomatic experience, and a penchant for impulsivity.

North Korea has entered into talks before about doing away with their nuclear program and they stalled almost immediately.

I agree with all of the pundits that this is a positive step, and far better than that whole threat of nuclear annihilation that Trump was trumpeting previously.

However only the dimmest Trump supporters will actually have faith that this will end the potential threat from North Korea.

Pentagon considering a possible nuclear response to the next cyber attack. WTF?

Courtesy of HuffPo:

The Pentagon is reportedly pushing a new retaliation tactic should the U.S. ever be hit by a devastating cyberattack: America could nuke the culprit.

The New York Times reported Tuesday that a pre-decisional draft of the Defense Department’s 2018 Nuclear Posture Review, which details U.S. nuclear strategy, includes “large cyberattacks” as an example of a non-nuclear strike on American lives and infrastructure that could be countered with nuclear weapons.

“Three current and former senior government officials said large cyberattacks against the United States and its interests would be included in the kinds of foreign aggression that could justify a nuclear response,” the Times wrote of the new strategy. The officials stressed, however, that “other, more conventional options for retaliation” could also be used in response to a cyberattack.

The Nuclear Posture Review, or NPR, was commissioned last year by President Donald Trump and is currently being reviewed by the White House. It will need the president’s approval before it’s made final.

No, no, no, no, no!!!

As much as I want there to be a more robust response to the next cyber attack you cannot kill potentially millions of innocent people becasue their government is hacking our email accounts.

Nuclear weapons are the final deterrent, NOT the opening salvo in response to an attack.

Especially a non-lethal cyber attack.

Besides who believes that Putin's puppet would actually allow this response to a Russian attack, which is the most likely?

And while the Pentagon is apparently losing its collective mind, the Trump Administration has still done virtually nothing to defend us against the next online attack from our enemies.

Trump Administration wants to loosen constraints on nuclear weapons to make them easier to use in response to an attack. I'm sorry, what?

Courtesy of The Guardian:

The Trump administration plans to loosen constraints on the use of nuclear weapons and develop a new low-yield nuclear warhead for US Trident missiles, according to a former official who has seen the most recent draft of a policy review.

Jon Wolfsthal, who was special assistant to Barack Obama on arms control and nonproliferation, said the new nuclear posture review prepared by the Pentagon, envisages a modified version of the Trident D5 submarine-launched missiles with only part of its normal warhead, with the intention of deterring Russia from using tactical warheads in a conflict in Eastern Europe.

The new nuclear policy is significantly more hawkish that the posture adopted by the Obama administration, which sought to reduce the role of nuclear weapons in US defence.

Arms control advocates have voiced alarm at the new proposal to make smaller, more “usable” nuclear weapons, arguing it makes a nuclear war more likely, especially in view of what they see as Donald Trump’s volatility and readiness to brandish the US arsenal in showdowns with the nation’s adversaries.

The NPR also expands the circumstances in which the US might use its nuclear arsenal, to include a response to a non-nuclear attack that caused mass casualties, or was aimed at critical infrastructure or nuclear command and control sites.

Okay this is not about Russia, Putin knows that his puppet would never use these against the homeland, this is about North Korea.

Trump had been itching to use nuclear weapons against Kim Jong Un almost since the day he took office, and now he is looking for a way to do that and not blow up South Korea as well.

This lunatic needs to be stopped, and stopped now!

The US Navy is training for a possible air war over Korea because that is apparently where we are now.

Courtesy of the Daily Beast:

The U.S. Navy has deployed special, radar-hunting warplanes to South Korea to train for a possible air war against North Korea.

The five EA-18G Growlers have joined more than 200 American and South Korean planes and tens of thousands of military personnel for a five-day annual war game known as Vigilant Ace.

The two-person crews of the twin-engine EA-18Gs are responsible for arguably the most dangerous mission in all of aerial warfare. Officially called “suppression of enemy air defenses,” the mission involves clearing a path through sophisticated air defenses so that other planes can safely strike their targets.

The EA-18Gs carry sensors for detecting radars’ emissions, jammers for interfering with the sensors’ functions, and radar-homing missiles to destroy them. But to take out enemy air defenses, the Growler crews have to get close—and that puts them directly in harm’s way. In North Korea, the crews would face a growing arsenal of radars and surface-to-air missiles based on deadly Russian and Chinese designs.

The Boeing-made Growlers arrived during the first week of December at Osan air base, around 50 miles from the border with North Korea. The EA-18Gs, from squadron VAQ-134 based in Washington State, were in the middle of a six-month training rotation with two squadrons of U.S. Air Force F-16s flying from an air base in Japan.

I think it is safe to say that the North Koreans have made more progress with their nuclear weapons program in the first year of the Trump presidency than they did in the last three administrations combined.

Nothing like having a thin skinned megalomaniac in office poking at another thin skinned megalomaniac to really speed up the production of weaponry, don't you think?

You know I keep thinking of all of those idiots who voted fro Jill Stein because they had been convinced, possibly by the Russians, that Hillary Clinton was going to take this country into another war.

Perhaps THEY should be the first ones drafted and sent to die in this one.

North Korea warns that nuclear war could "break out at any moment."

Courtesy of Bloomberg:

North Korea warned that a nuclear war “may break out any moment” as the U.S. and South Korea began one of the largest joint naval drills off both the east and west coasts of the peninsula.

Kim In Ryong, North Korea’s deputy ambassador to the United Nations, said on Monday that his nation had become a “full-fledged nuclear power which possesses the delivery means of various ranges” and warned that “the entire U.S. mainland is within our firing range.” He also called North Korea “a responsible nuclear state.”

“As long as one does not take part in the U.S. military actions against the DPRK, we have no intention to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against any other country,” Kim said, referring to his country’s formal name.

The comments are similar to other warnings North Korea has made over the past few months as tensions have increased with President Donald Trump’s administration. Kim Jong Un’s regime has repeatedly said it needs the capability to strike the U.S. with a nuclear weapon in order to deter an American attack.

So now there are two megalomaniacs with itchy fingers just waiting for a reason to start World War III.

And our only hope is that cooler heads will intervene before either of them decides that their manhood is being questioned and slaughters thousands, if not millions of people, to prove that their dick is the biggest.

So today was the day Donald Trump decided to stop pretending he's not a fascist. Update!

(In Trump's world being compared to CNN is the worst possible insult imaginable.)
WTF? Did this orange tinted turd just threaten to have the FCC look into repealing NBC's license because they told a truth that he did not want told?

Oh, you KNOW it's the truth when the pussy grabber gets this bent out of shape.

Here is how the New York Times reported on this story:

He repeated his complaint later in the day when reporters arrived to cover his meeting with the Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau. “It is frankly disgusting the press is able to write whatever it wants to write,” Mr. Trump said.

The comments immediately drew criticism that the president was using his office to undermine First Amendment guarantees of free speech and free press. And, in fact, the networks themselves — and their news departments — do not hold federal licenses, though individual affiliates do.

“Broadcast licenses are a public trust,” said Tom Wheeler, who until January was chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, appointed by President Barack Obama. “They’re not a political toy, which is what he’s trying to do here.”

In suggesting that a broadcast network’s license be targeted because of its coverage, Mr. Trump once again evoked the Watergate era when President Richard M. Nixon told advisers to make it difficult for The Washington Post to renew the F.C.C. license for a Florida television station it owned. A businessman with ties to Mr. Nixon filed paperwork to challenge The Post’s ownership of the station. The Justice Department under Mr. Nixon also filed antitrust charges against the three major television networks.

I think the Times compared Trump to Nixon because they did not want to just come out and make the Hitler comparison that most of us are already making in our heads.

However I don't have a problem making the comparison because it is indeed the correct comparison.

Trump LOVES dictators and wants to be one in the worst way.

The only thing stopping him is the media that he despises to much, and the 65% of the country that think he is a fucking lunatic.

Update: Doubling down.
I wonder if Donald Trump has ever said a stupid thing that he did not decide to make stupider?

Donald Trump wanted to increase America's nuclear arsenal tenfold.

Why can't I blow stuff up? I'm the president.
Courtesy of NBC News:

President Donald Trump said he wanted what amounted to a nearly tenfold increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal during a gathering this past summer of the nation’s highest ranking national security leaders, according to three officials who were in the room.

Trump’s comments, the officials said, came in response to a briefing slide he was shown that charted the steady reduction of U.S. nuclear weapons since the late 1960s. Trump indicated he wanted a bigger stockpile, not the bottom position on that downward-sloping curve.

According to the officials present, Trump’s advisers, among them the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, were surprised. Officials briefly explained the legal and practical impediments to a nuclear buildup and how the current military posture is stronger than it was at the height of the build-up. In interviews, they told NBC News that no such expansion is planned.

The July 20 meeting was described as a lengthy and sometimes tense review of worldwide U.S. forces and operations. It was soon after the meeting broke up that officials who remained behind heard Tillerson say that Trump is a “moron.”

H-o-l-y shit!

You combine this knowledge with the knowledge that Trump is itching to attack North Korea, and you have the stuff of absolute nightmares.

This is why you do not elect a crazy person to be president of the United States.

The people who helped elect Donald Trump should be considered traitors to their country and treated as such.

Ignorance can no longer be used as an excuse.

They KNEW who he was, and they cast a vote to put him in the most powerful position on the planet anyhow.

Did Donald Trump just tweet his intention of going to war with North Korea?

I'm sorry but if you have stopped negotiating with North Korea then what is left besides a military response?

People are counting on General Mattis to be the stop gap that keeps Trump from impulsively attacking North Korea, but a recent Newsweek article suggests that Mattis may not actually have the power to do that.

Courtesy of Newsweek:

"POTUS doesn't need to call the SecDef at all to do this,” says Stephen Schwartz, editor and co-author of Atomic Audit: The Costs and Consequences of U.S. Nuclear Weapons Since 1940. “Although he’d presumably be included on the conference call if this weren't a middle-of-the-night, spur-of-the-moment thing.” And as nuclear weapons historian Alex Wellerstein discovered in a 2015 U.S. Air Force document last spring, the president can bypass the secretary of defense altogether and “direct the use of nuclear weapons through…the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to the combatant commanders and, ultimately, to the forces in the field exercising direct control of the weapons."

I am a lover of horror movies, and have watched literally hundreds, but NOTHING has frightened me as much as having this man in the White House.

I used to stay up night's worrying about what Bush and Cheney, might unleash on the world, but at least they appeared to be sane.

There is no telling where this lunatic might take us.

North Korean Foreign Minister says Trump has declared war on his country. Well gee, that's helpful.

Courtesy of NBC News:

North Korea's foreign minister said Monday that President Donald Trump has "declared war" on his country and that Kim Jong Un's regime would consider shooting down American bombers.

"Since the U.S. declared war on our country, we will have every right to make countermeasures, including the right to shoot down the U.S. bombers even when they are not yet inside the airspace border of our country," Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told reporters in New York.

"Last weekend, Trump claimed that our leadership wouldn't be around much longer and he declared a war on our country," he added. "Even the fact that this comes from someone who is currently holding the seat of the U.S. presidency is clearly a declaration of war."

Jesus Christ!

You know I totally agree that North Korea is a bad actor and deserves to be dealt with harshly.

But there are a lot of far more effective ways to do that then to force them into a corner where they feel they have no choice but to use military force to prove they are not intimidated.

This Kim Jong Un is clearly extremely insecure about his hold on his country and his actual power in the world.

That is something that could be used against him by an real leader with a strategic mind.

Unfortunately for us we also have a leader who is extremely insecure about his hold on his country and his actual power in the world.

And that does not bode well for a peaceful resolution to this situation.

P.S. Later Trump operatives came out to say they are NOT declaring war on North Korea, but the problem is that North Korea is listening to what Donald Trump says, not his operatives.

US Intelligence agents say that North Korea has developed ability to put miniaturized nuclear warhead in missile. Update!

Courtesy of WaPo:

North Korea has successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit inside its missiles, crossing a key threshold on the path to becoming a full-fledged nuclear power, U.S. intelligence officials have concluded in a confidential assessment.

The new analysis completed last month by the Defense Intelligence Agency comes on the heels of another intelligence assessment that sharply raises the official estimate for the total number of bombs in the communist country’s atomic arsenal. The U.S. calculated last month that up to 60 nuclear weapons are now controlled by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Some independent experts believe the number of bombs is much smaller.

The findings are likely to deepen concerns about an evolving North Korean military threat that appears to be advancing far more rapidly than many experts had predicted. U.S. officials last month concluded that Pyongyang is also outpacing expectations in its effort to build an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of striking cities on the American mainland.

Well that certainly escalated quickly.

It should be noted that experts are saying that North Korea still has a few bugs to work out and that they are not yet ready to start firing missiles at Hawaii or anything, but this does demonstrate a huge step in that direction.

One of the talking heads on cable news also pointed out that the work on this capability rapidly sped up in direct response to the Trump presidency, which might have something to do with the threats he has tweeted at North Korea since winning the White House.

Before that happened, experts were confidentially saying that this type of progress was five to seven years away, and now we are learning that the future is already here.

And what is fearless leader tweeting about while the world burns?

Worst presidency in history, bar none.

Update: Well it appears that Trump has finally responded to this news about North Korea.

Courtesy of NBC News:

"North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States," the president warned, responding to a question during a brief press availability at his Bedminster Golf Club, where he's spent the last several days. "They will be met with fire, fury and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before."

Okay WTF does that mean?

"Fire, fury" and "power the likes of which this world has never seen before?"

Is he literally threatening a nuclear attack?

Because that really sounds like a nuclear attack.

Sunday, April 02, 2017

Is Donald Trump threatening to start a war with North Korea? Because that is kind of what this sounds like.

Courtesy of the Financial Times:

Donald Trump has warned that the US will take unilateral action to eliminate the nuclear threat from North Korea unless China increases pressure on the regime in Pyongyang.

In an interview with the Financial Times, the US president said he would discuss the growing threat from Kim Jong Un’s nuclear programme with Xi Jinping when he hosts the Chinese president at his Florida resort this week, in their first meeting.

“China has great influence over North Korea. And China will either decide to help us with North Korea, or they won’t,” Mr Trump said in the Oval Office. “If they do, that will be very good for China, and if they don’t, it won’t be good for anyone.”

But he made clear that he would deal with North Korea with or without China’s help. Asked if he would consider a “grand bargain” — where China pressures Pyongyang in exchange for a guarantee that the US would later remove troops from the Korean peninsula — Mr Trump said: “Well if China is not going to solve North Korea, we will. That is all I am telling you.”

"It won't be good for anyone." Yes, I would agree that if Trump does anything "unilaterally" about North Korea it most definitely will not be good for anyone.

Hey look I get the frustration at North Korea and that human buttplug leading their country.

I do not think there are too many people in this world that could hide their joy at seeing the whole place go up in a giant mushroom cloud.

However threatening to "eliminate the threat" on our own in a country essentially dangling from China's nutsack is like a drunk guy in biker bar yelling that wearing leather makes you a pussy.

We are all kinds of bad ass strolling into sand covered third world countries without indoor plumbing acting like John Wayne on steroids, but China is definitely not that kind of place.

Here is how one expert tried to excuse Trump's shit talking:

“What President Trump is trying to do here is to press the Chinese hard by warning them what comes next if they don’t help or join with the US to deal with this problem,” said Dennis Wilder, a former CIA China analyst who later served as the top White House Asia aide to George W Bush.

So in other words Trump is trying to intimidate a country with over a billion people and the world's largest military force into stepping up before he does something crazy.

I know a guy who expressed admiration for Donald Trump because he "Did not talk like a politician, and just said whatever was on his mind." Yeah, well in times like this you can understand why you might prefer somebody who has an internal filter and knows what the word "diplomacy" means.

Donald Trump just fired the guys who maintain our nuclear arsenal. Wait, what?

Courtesy of Gizmodo:

The NNSA is the $12 billion-a-year agency that “maintains and enhances the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile.” It’s unclear when the two officials will be replaced.

Traditionally, all political appointees of an outgoing presidential administration turn in resignation letters effective on noon of inauguration day, January 20. But appointees in key positions—like the people who make sure our nukes work—are often asked to stay on in their roles until a replacement can be found and confirmed by the Senate, helping ensure a smooth transition and allowing our government to continue functioning. In fact, for the entirety of Obama’s first term and into part of his second, the NNSA Administrator remained a Bush appointee.

Trump, however, appears determined to immediately push out everyone who was appointed by Obama, regardless of whether or not he has anyone in line for the job. Or, as our source put it: “It’s a shocking disregard for process and continuity of government.”

Just in case you are not sure if this is a really big deal or not:

The source later added, “I’m more and more coming around to the idea that we’re so very very fucked.”

Yeah, what he said.

Gee I am trying to think of which leader of a foreign government might be overjoyed at Donald Trump undermining our nuclear capabilities.

Wait, don't tell me, I've almost got it.

Oops, lost it.

Maybe YOU can think of who it might be.

Donald Trump doubles down on his nuclear weapon tweet from yesterday, "Let it be an arms race, we will outmatch them at every pass, and outlast them all."

Well I said "holy shit" yesterday so I guess I should choose different wording today.

Holy fuck!

How can this idiot NOT know that nobody outlasts anybody in an arms race, they both just end up with a huge arsenal of incredibly dangerous weaponry that neither has any intention of ever using.

Donald Trump is literally like those ammosexuals who buy an arsenal of weaponry because it makes them feel like a tough guy, while in reality they are afraid to walk to the store at night for fear of being mugged.

It was one thing when this son-of-a-bitch was building towers with his name on them to compensate for his inadequacies, but now he is introducing the idea of sending the country hurtling toward a nuclear conflagration simply to impress the boys in the locker room.

Forget about rebuilding infrastructure or creating jobs America, Donald Trump has to prove to the world that his penis is not microscopic.

Thursday, December 22, 2016

Holy Shit!

You know I wanted to come up with a more creative title but...holy shit!

We have enough nuclear weapons to destroy this planet many times over, and this idiot wants us to make more?

To be clear EVERY President as far back as Jimmy Carter (And yes that includes Ronald Reagan) have been working to reduce the number of nuclear weapons in the world.

And then here comes Orange Hitler to suggest that what the world needs is MORE nuclear weapons not less.

Like I said, holy shit!

Monday, December 05, 2016

I know this is just a comic, but seriously this is a good idea.

The rational side of me thinks "No way would Donald Trump actually start a nuclear war."

But then the irrational side of me remembers that it was the side that was right in thinking he would be elected, and that makes the rational side of me wet its pants just a little.

Wednesday, August 03, 2016

Donald Trump kept asking foreign policy expert "if we have them, why can't we use them" concerning nuclear weapons.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

According to Scarborough, a foreign policy expert who briefed Trump told him that the Republican nominee repeatedly asked him about our country’s reluctance to use nuclear weapons.

“Three times he asked about the use of nuclear weapons,” Scarborough said. “Three times he asked, at one point, ‘If we have them, why can’t we use them?’ That’s one of the reasons he doesn’t have foreign policy experts around.”

Scarborough then asked his guest, former CIA and National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden, about whether there were any ways to stop Trump from ordering a nuclear strike if he were elected president.

“The system is designed for speed and decisiveness,” Hayden replied. “It’s not designed to debate the decision.” If hearing that does not make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up you might want to check your pulse.

In other, possible less troubling, Trump news:
That was followed up by this:
In a New York Post article some inside of his campaign are taking notice of his mental state:

“I did not think he’d be great in a general election, and thought there’d be episodes of paranoia/irrationality, but this is surprising for me,” one Trump operative told The Post.

“Trump is getting nuttier and nuttier,” the person added.

Good, so it appears that the Trump campaign is coming apart at the seams. That should keep him away from the nuclear codes.

There is also a devastating new article from Newsweek, that strips away a lot of Trump's mythology.

Ouch!

In fact in response to the possibility that Trump might simply take his ball and go home, the Republicans are scrambling to find a replacement for him on the ballot.

So all in all it appears that finally everybody is noticing what should have been obvious from the start, Donald Trump should NEVER be allowed any where near the Oval Office.

I am not sure why the Republicans could not figure that out before nominating him, but better late than never I guess.

Thursday, June 30, 2016

This anti-Trump campaign ad might very well make you crap your pants.

That is legitimately terrifying.

Made more so by the fact that these are things that he actually said.

This is why I am all in for Clinton/Warren in 2016.

Conservative columnist George Will has left the Republican party in response to Donald Trump's nomination. I imagine he will certainly not be the last to do so.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Longtime conservative columnist George Will says he has left the Republican Party because of Donald Trump.

“This is not my party,” he said during a Friday speech to the Federalist Society, according to the conservative-leaning outlet PJ Media.

Will said he has switched his Maryland voter registration to "unaffiliated."

When asked in an interview later what message he had for GOP voters, Will suggested they resign themselves to not winning the presidency in November.

“Make sure he loses. Grit their teeth for four years and win the White House,” he said.

Actually since Donald Trump is essentially Sarah Palin with even phonier hair we should not be surprised with George Will's decision.

After all back in 2011 he had this to say about a Palin run at the White House:

“The threshold question, not usually asked, but it’s in everyone’s mind in a presidential election. ‘Should we give this person nuclear weapons?’ And the answer [in Palin’s case], answers itself.”

Impossible to believe he does not feel exactly the same way about Donald Trump having access to the nuclear codes.

Which, by the way, is exactly how all of us should feel.

The guy attempting to challenge Debbie Wasserman Schultz in Florida, is attacking her over the Obama administration's nuclear deal with Iran. Wait, what?

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

Much of Canova’s campaign literature emphasizes his opposition to the nuclear agreement with Iran, a position shared by many in the district’s large and active Jewish population. Wasserman Schultz backed the deal.

“She’s Jewish; I’m not. But I’ve had a Jewish stepdad for 40 years, and I was a volunteer on a kibbutz. . . . And she voted for the Iran agreement,” he said. “Either she got duped by [Obama deputy national security adviser] Ben Rhodes or she was in on it.”

So to be clear this Canova guy is attempting to attract the Jewish vote by using Right Wing talking points to attack DWS over a deal that she probably had virtually nothing to do with.

Is he not aware that the Iran deal is very popular among Democrats? Or that they get very defensive when somebody attacks their President in order to earn political points?

Cause they do.

But hey, Bernie Sanders supports him right? So I guess he has that going for him.

Wait, does this mean that Sanders is also against the Iran deal?

I think some intrepid reporter needs to ask him that very question.
