Trumpy Bears?
Yes they do at first appear to be some kind of parody.
But then again, maybe not.
If they are a parody, they are brilliant. I mean a bear, the symbol of Russia, and Donald Trump combined?
However if they are on the level, and actually a serious product, well that is simply disturbing.
Oh and by the way, in case you were wondering, yes they are indeed made in China.

This Simpsons' take on Trump's first 100 days should not be missed.
Courtesy of Raw Story:
The skit begins in the White House with Trump in bed surrounded by numerous books including The Little Book of Big Bombs and Killing a Good Thing—authored by ousted Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly.
Trump runs down his “many accomplishments” in the last 100 days. “Lowered my golf handicap, my Twitter following increased by 700 and, finally, we can finally shoot hibernating bears—my boys will love that,” he says.
In the press room of the White House, meanwhile, the job of trying to manage Trump’s media image has become too much for Sean Spicer—himself the subject of much ridicule and criticism for his remarks. Spicer is seen hanging by his neck and holding a sign that reads, “I quit.”
Fellow Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway stumbles upon the grim scene and quickly runs away, saying: “I am not replacing him.” Probably a wise decision.
The spoof also lampoons first daughter, Ivanka Trump, who is appointed to the Supreme Court, replacing Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Personally I think we should all get in as many good laughs as possible before we completely lose the ability to recognize humor.
Though admittedly that is already becoming difficult as the actual Trump presidency feels like one long episode of the Simpsons.
And a poorly written one at that.

SNL brilliantly calls out Ivanka Trump for providing cover for her father in a parody perfume ad called "Complicit."
Courtesy of CNN:
This sketch truly makes a point that many in the mainstream media won't, namely that Ivanka is complicit in her father's use of racism, sexism and bigotry to win and extend his stay in the White House.
"SNL" cleverly utilized a parody of a commercial for a high-end designer fragrance to make this point. It opens with Ivanka, played by host Scarlett Johansson, entering a room of people dressed in tuxedos and ball gowns, as a voiceover says, "Every man knows her name. Every woman knows her face."
The partygoers all stop and look as the voiceover continues, "When she walks into a room, all eyes are on her. She's Ivanka."
The commercial continues with glamour shots of Ivanka and then comes the first comedic bulls eye: "She's beautiful. She's powerful. She's ... complicit." We then hear, "She's a woman who knows what she wants. And knows what she's doing. Complicit."
I thought SNL was really good this weekend with some real laugh out loud skits (If you have not seen it yet I highly recommend Zoo Pornographer.) however when I saw this I knew it was going to be the one that everybody talked about this week.
We typically consider family to be off limits, but with the Trump's that is virtually impossible since they are all...well...complicit.

Last night SNL brilliantly trolled the Republicans over Donald Trump.
There was no Alec Baldwin or Melissa McCarthy last night, but that certainly did not stop SNL from creating some devastating political commentary.
I also really liked this bit with Kate McKinnon portraying Jeff Sessions as Forrest Gump.
For those who did not see "The Help" and are at a loss as to what the "special ingredient" is in Minny's pie just click here to find out.

MAD magazine accepts the challenge to parody a walking talking parody called Donald Trump.
Courtesy of HuffPo:
There’s a reason MAD Magazine has been around since the 1950s: the humor publication always finds a unique angle to address the craziness happening in the world.
MAD’s latest issue hits newsstands on Feb. 21 (Feb.10 in digital form) to continue that tradition of satirical excellence.
I think magazines like Mad and programs like SNL, The Daily Show, and Full Frontal provide the valuable service of reminding people that there is nothing normal about the Trump presidency.
The real danger is for the American people to accept all of this as the new normal because that would ensure that it would continue even past the Trump administration's expiration date.

Alec Baldwin returns to SNL this weekend and promises it will be a "big deal."
Courtesy of Vulture:
What nuggets of comedic gold will Alec Baldwin’s hosting stint on Saturday Night Live bring us this weekend? Who knows? Maybe he doesn’t even know. (Nah. Of course he does. And maybe Melissa McCarthy and Rosie O’Donnell know, too?) But as he puts it ever so dramatically in the cinematic teaser for the episode: “The pull of fate is undeniable.” Strap on your seat belts, everybody. We have a feeling this is going to be … yuge.
Like I said before currently SNL is "must see TV" in my home so I am certainly going to be watching this Saturday.
And since this bit from Melissa McCarthy last weekend almost cost Sean Spicer his job, it is now going to be entertaining to see what SNL does next to rattle Trump's cage.
Personally I would LOVE to see an appearance by Rosie O'Donnell as Stephen Bannon, but we shall see.
Yes, we shall see.

SNL enjoying highest ratings in 22 years.
Courtesy of Yahoo News:
If President Donald Trump tweets about Saturday Night Live‘s terrible ratings, consider it the fakest of news: In reality, the NBC sketch-comedy series is having its most-viewed season in 22 years.
The most recent SNL, in which Melissa McCarthy lampooned White House press secretary Sean Spicer, nabbed a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49, according to TVLine’s sister site, Variety. As such, the late-night laugher ranked behind only CBS’ The Big Bang Theory as the highest rated program in the demo. These numbers are in line with SNL‘s overall Season 42 viewership — its best since Season 20 — which is up 19 percent in the demo and 22 percent in total viewers over last year.
SNL‘s recent success is likely to irk the ratings-conscious Trump, who used part of his speaking time at February’s National Prayer Breakfast to malign Arnold Schwarzenegger’s stewardship of Celebrity Apprentice, which Trump used to host (and on which he is still credited as an executive producer).
Oh yeah, this is going to piss Cheeto Hitler off big time.
Which is why it's such awesome news.
I have to admit that this is the first time since Tina Fey was mocking our favorite dimwitted Mat-Su moron that I have so actively looked forward to Saturday nights.

SNL cold open brings Alec Baldwin back to play Donald Trump, much to Donald Trump's frustration. Update!
You know this is about how I imagine that things are going behind the scenes, except for Kellyanne's guilt that is.
I think that lunatic is thrilled with what she helped to accomplish.
And you know it was a good segment because it got panned by one specific critic.
A president who tweets at people who irritate or disagree with him, what a brave new world this is.
Update: It looks like Alec Baldwin responded.

If he wants equal time all he has to do is get his new adviser to fire up the old Breitbart propaganda machine and have it start blowing wind up his skirt.I watched parts of @nbcsnl Saturday Night Live last night. It is a totally one-sided, biased show - nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 20, 2016

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
Mocking religion? Always a good thing in my book.
Starting another new religion? NEVER a good thing.
I mean sure right now everybody understands that it's a parody and probably attend the services with their tongue firmly implanted in their cheek, but fifty to a hundred years down the line this could be the next tax exempt place of worship fighting to get their creation story taught in middle school science classes.
You know I bet those early Christians thought it was all for shits and giggles too.
But then the next thing you know you have some guy building a tax funded amusement park in Kentucky paying homage to a children's story about a giant boat.
Slippery slope my friends.

Somebody at the Huffington Post threw together a tweet of what a group of Donald Trump's military advisers might look like, and it is the most unsettling photo of the day.

First official Pastafarian wedding to take place in New Zealand.
Courtesy of RadioNZ:
Toby Ricketts and Marianna Young will be married by the leader of the New Zealand Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and attendees - bride and groom included - will be in full pirate regalia.
Pastafarians believe in an airborne noodle god, wear colanders on their heads and practice a gentle form of piracy.
The couple are recent converts to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and the bride-to-be Ms Young said a conventional marriage and all the traditions that went along with it did not appeal.
"So this offered an opportunity to do something different that fitted for us."
The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster started as a parody to protest the teaching of creationism in Kansas public schools.
And now look at how it has evolved.
And to be honest, is it really any more ridiculous than any of the other religions that it was created to mock?

SNL skewered Hillary Clinton over her losses to Bernie Sanders last night.
You know I seem to remember a certain conservative Trump supporter bitching about the negative way that SNL portrays conservatives.
I will assume that she simply missed all of the Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and Hillary Clinton parodies of the nineties. Or the Obama parodies that have been a staple for the last eight years now.
And you can count on Kate McKinnon to have many more opportunities to put on her Hillary Clinton wig in the months to come, not to mention her job security if Clinton wins the White House.

A must see Mormon missionary parody of Adele's song "Hello."
I thought after all of this talk of politics it might be nice to watch something that is humorous, very creative, and mot terribly political.
I have to say that the lead singer on this has a great voice.
Kind of reminds me of the "Book of Mormon" on Broadway.

Crazy Donald Trump supporter parodied on SNL upset that they made her look crazy.
As it turned out Hughes seemingly good humored response to the SNL bit was only a facade.
Courtesy of The Blaze:
After her appearance on CNN, Hughes spoke candidly with The Blaze about how she was portrayed.
“You’ve never known ‘SNL’ to parody any conservative in a positive way — either male or female,” she said, adding, “I don’t get paid to be positive about Mr. Trump. I’ve never been paid by him.”
“I’m a little shaken after this,” she said of the “SNL” skit. “I had no idea this was coming.”
Since the episode aired, Hughes shared that “tears have been shed” and friends have reached out to ask how she is doing.
“Those who know me know that I’m actually a very insecure person. I read every tweet,” she said.
Yes isn't it a shame when somebody recognizes your lunacy and puts it on TV for all the world to see?
Let's not forget that this is the same woman who describes herself as a, "gun-fearing, gun-toting, baby-loving, traditional marriage believing, SUV I don’t care about my carbon imprint driving, border securing, Benghazi truth seeking...lame stream media smacking, sip my sweet tea from a Big Gulp drinking, RINO hunting, target of IRS auditing, ‘one nation under God’ pledging mom."
I'm not a psychiatrist, but that does come off as a LITTLE unhinged.
So with all that in mind, exactly why does CNN allow her to participate in supposedly serious panel discussions about politics?

The best Donald Trump parody song you will hear today. So good in fact that some of Trump's supporters don't realize it's a parody.
Courtesy of Phoenix New Times:
Arizona's Public Integrity Alliance, a conservative nonprofit group largely made up of East Valley Republicans, has helped topple former state Attorney General Tom Horne, targeted the slimy political maneuverings of former state Senate President Russell Pearce and his bumbling brother Lester, and put pressure on ex-Arizona Corporation Commission Chair Susan Bitter Smith to resign, which she since has done.
Now, disgusted by the rise of foul-mouthed demagogue Donald Trump, the PIA, which some wags snark also stands for "Pain in the Ass," is taking aim at The Donald and his dumb-as-dirt, ditto-head supporters, lampooning the latter in an awesome new music video for the spoof song, "Make America Great Again."
The video features Phoenix comedian Brian Nissen's reprising his running, redneck character "Dwain," a mullet-headed simpleton who loves corndogs, Karate, pickup trucks, sittin' out in the yard on a beat-up couch, and, of course, Trump, because he's not afraid to say the things that ordinary idiots like Dwain think and want their leaders to regurgitate.
Though the president of Public Integrity Alliance, Tyler Montague, expects a lot of people to respond favorably to the parody there is one group that he is surprised is also doing so:
Montague claims the video is aimed at intelligent, well-informed voters. But he admits that some of Trump's supporters are so dumb they don't know they are being dissed.
"I've noticed that some of the Trump fans loved it," he explains of the video. "They're like, `Yeah, this is everything Trump is about, this is dead on.' We're like, `You're kidding us, right?'"
Seriously folks you just can't make this stuff up.
