Okay I might even buy an issue with this cover.

I have not bought a Time Magazine in many, many years.

But if they had the guts to publish this one I would not only buy it but frame it, and hang it where everybody could see it in my house.

Focus in the presidential photos in the background.

Somebody has some serious photoshop skills.

I think if these paintings were to actually come to life we would find Trump's lifeless corpse in a White House bedroom with a ring of ancient paint flakes around his neck.

Note to Jeb Bush. Don't stand in front of a green screen.

I have no idea what Jeb! was doing when this picture was taken, but I do know what happened afterward.

The internet had itself a little fun.

Okay so the internet had a LOT of fun.

To be fair these geniuses could have done this even without the green screen.

But let's face it, by standing if front of one Jeb! was just asking for it.

Hey maybe one of these guys can photoshop some charisma or an actual personality onto Bush. That might actually help.

You want to see groveling? Here watch the editor of RedState, Erick Erickson, grovel at Sarah Palin's feet.

So this post by Erick Erickson is really all about this photo on the right, and his reasons for not taking it down from his site sooner back in 2013.

Trust me you are going to want to have your barf bags ready.

Courtesy of RedState:

But the picture was a scam and it was inappropriate and I should have acted immediately. So I’ve been kicking myself to figure out why I did not act sooner. (Really? Kicking yourself?)

Unfortunately, going back into my calendar, I know why I was slow to respond. I was in the hospital on July 1, 2013, with my wife. I had to rush her to the emergency room that day and was out of pocket that day and the next, though even while attending to my wife made sure to mount a defense of Governor Palin.1 I was the only paid employee at RedState at the time and one of the only Palin supporters on the front page of RedState by 2013. The contributors were telling me the picture was real, I was in the hospital, and I went with trusting the guys I’m surrounded with every day and who I’d empowered to decide these things while I was tied up.

I am sorry the Palin family has held on to this for so long. (Oh they hang on to EVERYTHING, believe me.)

I certainly meant no offense and tried to respond as quickly as I could to it, but was limited at the time due to my own family circumstances. I certainly do not fault them. They have come under attacks from all sides and I can only imagine they must have, then and now, had concerns about who were fully with them and who are just using them and who hate them. (I think I'm in that last category.)

I mounted Operation Leper after the 2008 defeat to drive from politics those from the McCain campaign who engaged in character assassination on Sarah Palin. A few years ago, Nichole Wallace credited me with turning her into an author because of Operation Leper.

I have not always agreed with Governor Palin, but have always tried to defend her and her family, including when the creepy author moved next door and the CNN anchor found an assault on Bristol Palin to be comedy and including the day after that questionable post went up when I was trying to get Christy back on her feet. (So a long time Palin ass kisser huh?)

I really am sorry that they did not know the reason it took so long to respond and I am really am sorry that hurt feelings have lingered on for more than two years. I understand, given what the Palin family has gone through, and am sorry there are those who want to continue to drag them through the mud. I have certainly never wanted that for them. They are good people. (Hah!) I wish I had known about this before now so I could have told them why it took so long.

Hang on I have to sit with my head between my knees for a bit to fight the nausea.

Well it looks like even though Palin has virtually no supporters left, and has now become an international joke, she was still able to turn Erick Erickson into her little bitch.

I mean seriously how does this tragic little man even look at himself in the mirror without being disgusted with himself?

Well I imagine that over at the Palin compound Sarah is on the phone with Nancy French exchanging war whoops and celebrating the fact that they can still emasculate a sad little excuse for a man if they put their minds to it.

Personally I never had any respect for Erick Erickson in the first place. But now?

Now I'm ashamed that we even share the same gender.

Redstate takes offense at Bristol Palin's attack on them, since they have often been ardent Palin defenders. I guess they assumed that a Palin would be grateful?

So the other day, as we know, Nancy French donned her Bristol Palin wig and snap on chin to go after Erick Erickson, owner of Redstate, for disinviting "The Donald" to his conservative gathering over the remarks he made about Fox's Megyn Kelly.

This upset the folks over at Redstate, who believe that they have been more than fair with the Palins over the years:

Over the years at RedState, the rotating cast of 15 or 20 front pagers who have come and gone have written and said dozens (or maybe hundreds) of articles about Palin. Back in the aftermath of McCain’s defeat we, as a unified front, promised to deep six the candidacy of any Republican candidate who hired the McCain operatives who were engaging in a smear campaign against Palin.

Over the years, as Palin’s fortunes have waxed and waned, various RedState authors have taken various stances about various things that Palin has done – some positive and some negative. However, RedState has taken a unified stand against the personal smearing of Palin and her family, and has stood strongly against the tabloidization of their private lives and the attacks against the Palin children (including Bristol, in particular).

That having been said, bylines are fairly simple things to understand, and Erick’s position with respect to the Palins has been one of almost unrelenting positiveness. And over the years Erick has taken no small amount of grief from his cohorts in the media and the blogosphere for sticking up for the Palins even when many other people (including myself) had given up on them politically.

The article then goes on to point out that Bristol/Nancy/Sarah also accused Erick Erickson of purposefully posting that photoshopped picture of Palin up at the top:

Erickson’s RedState once used a demeaning fake photo (wearing a revealing shirt with Santa Claus) of my Mom for an attack article on her. Erickson refused to take it down even after he was made aware that it was photoshopped.

The Redstate article points out that they did initially post the photo thinking it was real, and then took it down after being alerted to the fact that it was fake.  (Just to brag a little, we here at IM knew it was fake all along.)

You know I find it really humorous that the folks at Redstate would get all upset with Bristol over this attack from Bristol's blog. After all it was written by Nancy French, paid for with SarahPAC dollars, and Bristol probably does not even know it exists.

If Redstate wants to get their panties in a twist over being mistreated by a Palin, then it is Sarah Palin who deserves their anger.

However it should also be noted that Palin did not just go after Redstate in this chicken shit, hide behind her daughter's ghostwriter manner, she also went after Fox News.

You know the people who paid her over a million dollars and allowed her spout her incoherent gibberish on their airwaves as if it had some value to the political discourse.

The lesson that Redstate, Fox News, and everybody else really, need to learn is that Sarah Palin does not like or trust anybody. And if she is reaching out to give you a hug now, that is only so she can feel around your back for the best place to stick a knife later.

Time magazine cover featuring inventor of the Oculus Rift gets roundly mocked.

So this Time magazine cover is representing an article within its pages discussing virtual reality and more specifically the Oculus Rift.

Now if you have not heard of virtual reality or the Oculus Rift, you can thank me now, because I have been suppressing an almost overwhelming urge to talk about nothing else.

In fact I have talked so much about with family and friends, that most of them are hesitant to engage me in conversation anymore.

'The next best thing since the internet," I say.

"It's going to revolutionize everything we do," I predict.

"Going to meetings in person will someday seem as primitive as sending a telegram," I say as family members attempt to sidle out of the room without being seen.

So yes I am very interested in what is to come. And I will leave it at that, because most of you did not come here to listen to me rant about how boring today is and how awesome tomorrow will be.

Anyhow as you can see that cover is rather.....different. And because it is so, it received quite a lot of internet mocking.

However I stumbled across one photoshopped picture that seemed somewhat prescient to me.

Poopy time will never be the same.

I'm very excited.

Rethugs attempt to use photoshopped picture on Twitter to mock Hillary. Fail to realize that most people on Twitter are smarter than they are.

OMGERD that is SO funny! And so revealing about Hillary's so-called bus tour.

So unfortunate that it's also so fake.

It's also kind of indicative of the middle school level of attacks that the Right Wing has been launching against Hillary since even before she announced.

Getting kinda pathetic out here.

"Look you can ridicule Sarah Palin all you want, but don't you dare photoshop her!" Signed, The Palin-bots.

Loves freedom, riding scooters, and Sarah Palin.
So, like many others, Redstate decided to point out how ridiculous it is for Sarah Palin to call for the formation of a third party.

In 2008, to me, Sarah Palin was the “hope” and “change” the GOP could have used. Palin seemed to be more the ‘maverick’ than McCain ever was or could hope to be.

However, shortly after her convention speech, the McCain campaign took over, the Left attacked, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Now, after four years of being the quasi-professional bomb-throwing GOP outsider, Palin is tossing the idea out there that she’s open to supporting a third party.

While the idea is somewhat appealing to those who would rather flee than fight to save America, it is, ultimately, a fool-hearty idea.

In fact, starting a third party, would result in about as much success as Ralph Nader’s (or Ross Perot’s, for that matter) bid for the White House.

Now not only does the author essentially call Palin a "bomb thrower" and coward a who was prepared to flee rather than fight, but he also went on to categorize Palin's suggestions with those espoused by Unions and Socialists.

I know right?

So as you can imagine this made the Palin-bots take up their pitchforks and torches and prepare to drive the "Redstaters" away from their princess. But not so much for the reasons mentioned above.

You see they did a far worse thing than drag Klondike Kardashian's name through the mud, they dared to photoshop her picture.

The horror!

Now all of us here already know that picture is fake because it shows cleavage, and Palin only has fake breatesesses attached to a Victoria's Secret bra, and cannot show actual cleavage.

See?

But the "vibrantly living" folks over at the Sea O'Pee were indignant!

Considering the attire and position of the person who owns the body that they Photoshopped Governor Palin’s head on to, it’s obvious that this was posted to demean her.

The bastards!

They were SO insulted and riled up that they demanded that Redstate editor Erik Erickson admit what he had done. And take it down.

He seemed unimpressed.

Oh now he done did it!

In response to Erickson's refusal to admit that it was photoshopped, and his dismissal of their anger, they started digging up pictures to prove their point and even brought in their blogger attack dogs to say mean things about his sexuality.

Hmm, now who does that sound like?

All in all it made for one of the fumiest incidents of tantrum throwing and hair pulling that I have ever seen.

Ahh, good times.

Personally I think that Redstate was just too lazy to look for a good picture of Palin with Santa for their article.

Here's one.

Hell there's even one of her with Rudolph. Can't say THAT'S photoshopped.

And as for cleavage pictures, well where do we start?

I'm sure that the folks over at the Sea O'Pee will start protesting THESE photoshop images of Palin too. You know just as soon as they have both hands free to type.

If you get my drift.

Rachel Maddow runs through the most recent President Obama conspiracy theories.

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Here is the transcript courtesy of Politicususa:

The president faked the unemployment rate, he made it up. also the president is bulldozing President Reagan’s childhood home…Sounds terrible, to say that President Obama is personally going to bulldoze something related to Reagan, even if he isn’t? And do you remember Ring Gate? At World Net Daily where Rick Santorum works now. President Obama’s supposed wedding ring is really a secret I am a Muslim ring. “The ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years has the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith.” Did I say the ring means he is Muslim? No, I meant gay. It secretly proves he’s gay. It is a wedding ring, but it is a gay wedding ring, you can see why it would be confused. It is about the whole other theory that thinks he is gay, so the world thinks he is gay-married.

Over at Breitbart, they have been upset about this picture of the president throwing a football. In that corner of the right-wing media, President Obama was not actually throwing a football in this photo. You see, you can tell because he is looking slightly up there. That is just unexplainable. why would you do such a thing? Clearly it is doctored? there is no way in football, you always look to the down or to the side unless you’re a secretly gay-married Muslim, bulldozing Reagan.

Now this is the latest one, according to the right, this is not really the picture of the president shooting a gun. Yes, when the New Republic asked the president if he ever shot a gun, he said yes, he was skeet-shooting at Camp David. The White House supported the claim by tweeting out this picture of the president shooting skeet, and that’s when the cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs right wing fired up the conspiracy machine. According to them, this is not really the picture of the president shooting a gun, you see they can tell because the president is shooting with the gun sort of too flat. It is too straight. See, now, he is too straight. then there is the errant smoke where it shouldn’t be. Also his stance, bad form, can’t be real. Also a little pot belly. no, I’m not kidding, that was actually part of the argument against the veracity of the picture, you can see his tummy, where you actually had a jelly donut. where he wears a Muslim ring and a gay ring and doesn’t really play football, he just looks like he is, where him having a little poochy belly means that the vast left wing conspiracy is photoshopping for political capital on gun control. You know how they do.

You know whenever I see a new Obama conspiracy their I always think to myself, "You know it is just proof that they have absolutely NOTHING they can legitimately use against this President."

And that makes me smile.

Ahh! Well this is a MUCH more accurate representation of Todd Palin!

Well you have to admit that this captures his essence far better than the original.

Right?

Denver ABC News affiliate learns the perils of pulling images off of the internet.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

An ABC News affiliate in Denver says that while attempting to report on the resignation of former CIA Director David Petraeus, the station mistakenly aired a photoshopped version of his mistress’ book with the raunchy title “All Up In My Snatch.”

KMGH-TV producer Deb Stanley told Raw Story that the wrong book cover had been “mistakenly picked up off the Internet” and aired during their 5 p.m. broadcast on Monday. Instead of displaying the actual book cover of Paula Broadwell’s Petraeus biography, “All In,” KMGH-TV aired the parody cover, “All Up In My Snatch.”

Oooh, now that is an unfortunate mistake to broadcast into people's homes.

That reminds of me of the problems that I have run into as a blogger assuming that an image or link is what it claims to be, and then later having to go back and fix or remove it. Of course MY excuse is that I work alone, along with my real job, and often do not have a lot of time to spare for research.

Having said that the photoshop is so obvious that you would have thought that SOMEBODY working at the news station would have picked up on it before broadcast. But nope.

I can tell you that it certainly did not escape the notice of some of the viewers, such as this gentleman.

" “Not sure at all where you got your picture of Broadwell’s book for your 5pm news cast,” one viewer wrote. “I AM sure the title is NOT ‘ALL up IN my snatch’ ‘the education of General David Patraeus’ as you showed. I believe it is simply titled “All In”. Clever photoshopping by someone – - not so clever use of sources for a news cast!”

You just know that somewhere out there is a guy with a photoshop program who is simply doubled over with laughter right now, and who has probably spent much the day emailing his friends about his sudden notoriety.

Romney campaign uses poor photoshop skills in attempt to inflate crowd size.

The image above is from Romney's campaign stop in Nevada last Tuesday as it appears on the campaign's tumblr account. Take a good hard look, does anything about that image strike you as a little...off?

Here perhaps this might help.

No, your eyes are not deceiving you, clearly SOMEBODY on the campaign (With very poorly developed photoshop skills by the way) tried to increase the size of the crowd by manipulating the image.

Can you say EPIC FAIL?

My new favorite Sarah Palin picture! Update!

Okay this picture really cannot be improved on in my opinion.

And how many of you have wished that she actually had one of these surgically implanted that you could just reach up and zip closed every time she started speaking?

I know her family certainly has.

Update: I am somewhat fascinated with the response to this image that it is misogynistic.

Since this is a person who most of us would agree has caused a great deal of harm to our country through her verbal attacks on the President and the framing of complicated issues with emotional language (ie "death panels"), what is it about a visual representation of wanting her to keep her mouth closed that is considered inappropriate, or even a sexist attack?

And would that same sensitivity have been expressed if this had been a picture of Sean Hannity, or Rush Limbaugh, or Bill O'Reilly?

I'm just curious.

Update 2: Still sexist?

Best Rick Santorum picture EVER!

Yes I admit it is disturbing.

Yes I admit it is rude.

Yes I admit it is almost pornographic.

But then again, isn't the Frothy Mixture himself all of those things as well?

Personally I have never seen a more accurate representation of the man.

She's Ba-a-a-ck!

Courtesy of Love & Knishes
You know if in fact any religion could rid us of the presence of Sarah Palin through some exorcism, or consecration ceremony, or even animal sacrifice, I think I might consider joining.

I'm just saying.

Perhaps I was too quick to label yesterday's photo of Sarah Palin running as photoshopped.

Yesterday I posted a picture found on Gretawire of the Grizzled Mama running, that to be honest seemed very odd, which then led to many of us making the assumption that it was photoshopped.

Here let me show you the picture in question.

Now as the day unfolded numerous people rushed over here to correct my assertion that the photo appeared to have been manipulated. Other bloggers even wrote about how I had put my credibility in jeopardy by even suggesting that Sarah Palin had NOT run this race. And a few people whose opinion I respect said that they were not certain the picture was photoshopped either.

But you know sometimes I can be a real stubborn son-of-a-bitch so I was still pretty darn convinced that something hinky was going on here. But then I saw this picture:

Oh my god, what can I say?

Clearly this photo, which I am guessing was taken seconds after the first photo, shows Sarah "I am too a runner dammit!" Palin/Heath running so quickly that, not only do her feet not touch the ground, but she has just passed herself in the race. ("Laws of time and space do not apply to me, I am Sarah Palin bitchez!")

What can I say? Photos don't lie.

So let me take a moment to apologize.

First to Sarah Palin for assuming that just because she appeared virtually catatonic on Friday in Iowa, that she could NOT get herself healthy enough to place second in a half marathon, despite NOBODY in Wasilla ever seeing her running around town, nor on a treadmill at any of the gyms. Or that she would wait around for at least an hour after the race to have her picture taken with a Palin-bot (Who just happens to blog) to prove her participation.

And let me apologize to my visitors for automatically assuming that a woman who faked a pregnancy, substituted one baby for another, and whose daughter appeared on nationally televised dance contest while pregnant (Which she covered up for by claiming she was just more fit than the other contestants.), would EVER fake a marathon race.

I mean seriously, WHAT about this person would convince me to never take what she does at face value, and to always remain skeptical until I have proven to myself, without a shadow of a doubt, that we are NOT all being manipulated by somebody famous for her manipulative nature?

What was I thinking?

Sunday, September 04, 2011

Is the picture of Sarah Palin running in Iowa the worst job of photoshop EVER? Update!

"I'm hovering above the grass because I don't want to stain my shoes."
(H/T to Gretawire.)

This is such an amateurish job that I CANNOT believe that Van Susteren thought anybody would take it seriously.

So we all make noise about Palin looking sickly and possibly drugged yesterday and the day before, and then THIS picture suddenly shows up?

Didn't I have this effect on her once before when she was in Hawaii? Why yes I did!

Can somebody please ask Joe McGinniss if he is SURE that Sarah Palin does not read the blogs? Cause it kind of looks like she does!

I'm just saying.

Update:  Another picture and eyewitness account suddenly appears to prove that we bloggers are "just makin stuff up."

Okay gang, what do we think?

Today's "Things that once seen, cannot be unseen" brought to you by our friend Azure Ghost.

Oooh that's just not okay!

But hey, it is perfect for today's caption contest.

Fire up your imaginations folks, this should be a cake walk for most of you!

(P.S. I am leaving for the Alaska State Fair in about an hour, but I should still be able to okay comments with my handy dandy I-Phone. Hmm I wonder if I will run into anybody "interesting" at the fair?)
