Now about Oprah Winfrey's Golden Globe speech...
If you are someplace where you cannot watch the video, USA Today has the full transcript here. (However it should be noted that Oprah's delivery is half the magic.)
There is now talk about an Oprah Winfrey presidential run in 2020.
I am certainly not ready to jump on that bandwagon, but I have to say that if my two choices were Tangerine Hitler, and one of the most beloved figures in America, that would not be a hard choice to make at all.
Oprah Winfrey is more compassionate, more intelligent, and simply more competent than Donald Trump has ever been in his entire life.

Former President Jimmy Carter says that America is no longer a democracy. Is now an oligarchy.
Former president Jimmy Carter says he would not be able to run for president today because the U.S. political system has warped into an 'oligarchy' which requires huge financial wealth.
In a new interview, the 91-year-old said the need for massive financial backing excluded candidates and warned against the 'damaged' ethical standards of American politics.
During an interview with Oprah for her upcoming episode of SuperSoul Sunday, he was asked if could become president today.
He replied: 'Absolutely not. There's no way now for you to get a Democratic or Republican nomination without being able to raise $200 or $300million or more.
'I would not be inclined to do that, and I would not be capable of doing it.'
'We've become now an oligarchy instead of a democracy, and I think that's been the worst damage to the basic moral and ethical standards to the American political system that I've ever seen in my life.'
Well...I think that pretty much sums it up.

Oprah dumps Oz.
The Dr. Oz media empire just took a blow from the woman who helped make him famous: Oprah Winfrey. According to New York Daily News, "'The Daily Dose With Dr. Oz,' a 'radio minute' produced by Oprah's Harpo Productions, will end May 29."
Even more interesting: Oz's spot, which aired on 150 stations, may be replaced with "A Better Life With Dr. Sanjay Gupta" — the CNN chief medical correspondent.
While there has been no explanation for the switch, the news comes just over a week after Oz faced heavy criticism for featuring questionable science on The Dr. Oz Show. The public scorn has caused some to question whether Oz — who was a medical expert on Oprah's show starting in 2004 — is now tarnishing Oprah's legacy.
In particular, a group of doctors and professors from across the country signed a letter addressed to Columbia's dean of medicine — where Oz has a faculty position — calling the medical school's affiliation with the TV star "unacceptable."
Oh well he's done now. Once Oprah throws you to the curb, your ass is over.
You know personally I am going to give a great deal of the credit to John Oliver.
Because without his incredibly insightful reports about Dr. Oz I am not sure that Oprah would have felt enough pressure to essentially admit that she is a quack magnet. (Yes I'm looking at you Dr. Phil.)

Once again President Obama and Hillary Clinton top the list of most admired.
Americans continue to name Hillary Clinton as the woman living anywhere in the world whom they admire most, and name Barack Obama as the man they admire most. Clinton has held the top women's spot in each of the last 13 years and 17 of the last 18, with that streak interrupted only by first lady Laura Bush in 2001 after the 9/11 terror attacks. Obama has been most admired man in each of the last seven years, beginning with 2008, the year he was elected president.
Okay well I have a few problems with this list.
While I have no bone to pick with who they picked as the top in both the female and male category the fact that Sarah Palin, George W. Bush, and Ben Carson are included calls in to question the intelligence of those being polled.
Though I do find it somewhat satisfying that Hillary, Oprah Winfrey, Malala Yousafzai are the top three on the women's side and that Obama, the Pope, and Bill Clinton are on the top for men.

Oprah Winfrey refuses to accept that long distance swimmer Diana Nyad is an Atheist because she experiences "awe." WTF?
In a conversation with Nyad on the Oprah Winfrey Network’s Super Soul Sunday, Winfrey seemed baffled that the 64-year-old swimmer could be an atheist and “a person who is deeply in awe.”
“I can stand at the beach’s edge with the most devout Christian, Jew, Buddhist, go on down the line, and weep with the beauty of this universe and be moved by all of humanity — all the billions of people who have lived before us, who have loved and hurt,” Nyad, who recently completed a swim from Cuba to Florida explained. “So to me, my definition of God is humanity and is the love of humanity.”
“Well, I don’t call you an atheist then,” Winfrey replied. “I think if you believe in the awe and the wonder and the mystery that that is what God is. That is what God is. It’s not a bearded guy in the sky.”
“It’s not bearded but I guess there is inference with God that there is presence, there is a — either a creator or an overseer,” Nyad pointed out. “I don’t criticize anybody. Because you know what? The definition of life is, we will never know.”
She added that she saw no contradiction in being an atheist and being a spiritual person.
“I think you can be an atheist who doesn’t believe in an overarching being who created all of this and sees over it,” Nyad said. “But there’s spirituality because we human beings, and we animals, and maybe even we plants, but certainly the ocean and the moon and the stars, we all live with something that is cherished and we feel the treasure of it.”
Winfrey agreed: “Well, I believe that and feel that so deeply. It’s why every time I enter my yard or leave, I say, ‘Hello trees!’”
This may seem a minor thing but it REALLY irritates me.
And the reason why is because it is an example of this constant subliminal prejudice that people of faith have for those of us who are unwilling to suspend out disbelief long enough to accept the existence of ANY deity.
Now I consider Oprah Winfrey to be a relatively reasonable and intelligent woman, however there is not doubt that she sees the world from a very narrow perspective, and is unable to recognize that somebody who does not believe in God can feel awe, or amazement, or joy.
The reason I named this blog "The Immoral Minority" is because THAT was the label given to me by the Religious Right, and then I set out to prove that not only was that assumption incorrect, but also that many of those Fundamentalists who lay claim to a superior morality are anything but moral.
I think I have had some great success in that endeavor.
However the other important thing I wish to convey is that those of us who are non-deists are just as moral, or immoral, as those who hide behind the veil of Christianity.
I want to establish that a religious label is no indicator of the type of person who wears it. And further I want to point out that those who constantly tout their religiosity should be the FIRST to fall under suspicion.
"For no man is less moral than he who wears it like a badge upon his chest and consistently draws it to the attention of all who cross his path."
Let me state for the record that I was overcome with awe the day my daughter first entered this world, that I have often been caught watching clouds lazy drift across a pale blue sky, and that there have been sunsets and sunrises that literally took my breath away.
I have lived, and loved, and sacrificed for others, just like all of those humans, both religious and nonreligious, who came before me. And I have done all of that as a proud, ethical, and deeply moral Atheist.

If you were not turned off to organized religion in this country before, this should pretty much send you over the edge.
If I were a member of any of their churches the next time they passed around the collection plate I would put in an IOU saying "Once you start spending our money on something besides making yourself feel like God's personal pimp I might start giving you some of the money I use to feed my children."

Lance Armstrong finally comes clean and admits to years of doping. Do we now live in a world without heroes? Update!
This man lied repeatedly to his fans, and to the cycling officials who confronted him, and even went so far as to trash the reputation and try to destroy the careers of fellow cyclists who dared to tell the truth about him.
I have no compassion left for the man.
You know when I was young I had a brief career as a powerlifter.
I had started lifting weights as a freshman in high school and took to it immediately. By the end of that first semester I had doubled the amount of weight I could lift and was hooked. I became a gym rat and have trained with any number of powerlifters and bodybuilders up here.
I enjoyed it and when I found out there were actual competitions held that awarded trophies and prize money, I was all in.
My first couple of times out were very successful and I even set a new record or two for my weight class, which was 165 in those days. In fact I was actually only competing against myself, trying to improve my best lift and gain more muscle just to see how strong and big I could get.
But then at around 24 years old things began to change.
There was another competitive powerlifter in the gym that my buddy and I frequented that was also in my weight class. When he first started lifting there he was not nearly as strong as I was and I paid little attention to him. But after awhile, and not a very long while, he began to make significant gains.
I remember that in one month his bench press had improved forty pounds. At our level of competition that was unheard of. A beginner might see similar gains, but not somebody who had been lifting for a number of years.
I had already had some experience with bodybuilders using steroids and knew that they were becoming more an more prevalent. One day in the locker room I overheard this guy talking to another member and going on and on about the human growth hormones he was on and the other chemical help his doctor was helping him with.
I had worked all year to improve my lift by fifteen pounds and this guy was poised to make all of that effort meaningless. That really pissed me off.
My friend said that if I really wanted to stay competitive I would have to use the same substances this guy, and now others, were using.
But I couldn't. To me taking a substance to enhance my abilities was cheating, period! In my mind there was no way to win if I could not win without taking shortcuts, and it was certainly not worth risking my health for the sake of a tin trophy and a fistful of cash.
So I just walked away. I continue to lift to this very day, but I have never even contemplated competing again.
Now I know that Lance Armstrong made significantly more money through HIS sport than I could ever have hoped to make through mine, but at the end of the day look who he has to see staring back at him from the mirror.
I don't have a shelf full of trophies (Well I do have a few.) but in exchange I get to look in the mirror and like the guy staring back at me, and I get to talk to kids about ethical and moral behavior without feeling like a hypocritical douchebag.
The choice to take the easy path to victory, or to put winning above everything else, is an indication of your character. If you are the type who cares little for how you win, than in my mind you simply do not deserve to win. And you certainly do not deserve to be admired by impressionable young people for your accomplishments.
In a world where it seems heroes are few and far between, this is yet another example of somebody who accepted glory and accolades that he KNEW he simply did not deserve. Personally I think he should be forced to return the money paid to him by his sponsors, hand back his prize money, and dedicate the rest of his life to lecturing young people on WHY cheaters never win, and winners never cheat.
Update: Full interview here.

David Letterman confesses to Oprah that he only apologized to Sarah Palin so that he could continue to make fun of her.
WINFREY NARRATION: After Sarah Palin attended a New York Yankees game with her 14-year-old daughter Willow, David cracked a sex joke about a baseball player and the young girl. Letterman says he thought Sarah Palin was with her oldest daughter, Bristol, who made headlines when she became pregnant at age 17.
WINFREY TO LETTERMAN: Why did you apologize?
LETTERMAN: I’ll tell you why I apologized. I felt like Sarah Palin was somebody I wanted to continue to be able to make fun of and I felt like if I don’t apologize, if I don’t sincerely express my regret, I will not be able to go forward making fun of her. And truly, I felt bad for the 14-year-old. You know, that was just like, oh nice going, you got the wrong daughter. That was just dumb, stupid joke that fell into dumb luck and got worse.
You know Sarah Palin, and the Right Wing noise machine. blew this WAY out of proportion when it happened to continue the meme that Sarah Palin was being unfairly attacked by the Left.
I always believed that pretty much everybody knew that he meant Bristol, simply because SHE was the one who had a child out of wedlock. It would only have been a funny joke if it was Bristol, and by the way it was pretty funny.
I remember yelling "NO" at the screen when i heard Letterman apologize because I KNEW that it fed into their victimization mythology and that it would set a bad precedent for others who wanted to make jokes about the family or expose the truth about who they really were.
As it turned out I kind of think that Letterman's apology emboldened them enough that they felt confident in threatening Alaska blogger Shannyn Moore with a lawsuit a month later, and then of course also came after me.
However in the interest of wanting to continue making fun of Sarah Palin one can hardly blame Letterman for doing what he felt he had to in order to get back to the jokes.
P.S. By the way at the end of this video Oprah asks Letterman if he ever felt bad about hurting someone's feelings with a joke, he replies that he has and that he has even called to apologize after ward a number of times.
I think we can say with some confidence that he NEVER called Sarah Palin. Because if he had it would have been broadcast ALL OVER Fox News.

Gallup finds Hillary Clinton is the most admired woman in the world and Sarah Palin is the fifth most admired person in the world. Wait, what?
A new Gallup poll again hands the secretary of state the title of the “most admired woman” in the world, with 21 percent selecting her. First lady Michelle Obama comes in a distant second at 5 percent, followed by Oprah Winfrey at 4 percent.
Okay well all of that makes sense, I even kind of understand Condi Rice at the number four spot, but Palin at five? WTF?
And how in the HELL does she beat out the extraordinarily brave Malala Yousafzai? That is ridiculous!
So what is she so admired for?
Her political presence? There isn't one.
Her intelligence? Seriously?
Her reality show career? Hah!
Her parenting? Double Hah!
Seriously I simply do NOT get it.
I went to the actual Gallup site to see if it was the way the question was asked. This is what they said:
The open-ended nature of the question produces the names of people with high top-of-mind name identification, most often hailing from the world of government and politics; the list also includes individuals who have become famous serving humanitarian causes and others whose fame comes from the business and entertainment worlds.
Okay so essentially it is based on name recognition.
These are the names of people that the individuals asked knew off of the top of their heads. And sadly Palin was mentioned quite a lot this last year. Sure mostly it was to mock her, or use her as a comparison for how badly the Paul Ryan pick was, but you not THAT bad.
I would LOVE to have heard a follow up question asking the respondents WHY they chose who they chose. I think for those who chose Palin wall you would hear is the sound of crickets.
If it makes you feel any better look who shows up as3rd, 4th, and 5th on the mens side of the poll.
Oh yeah. Mitt Romney as the third most admired man, and George W. Bush as the fifth, certainly puts the whole thing into perspective.
Guess which polling group is now the LEAST admired? Yeah, that's right Gallup.

Forbes Magazine chooses the 100 MOST powerful women. Hmm, is somebody missing?
Angela Merkel, Forbes magazine's choice as the number one most powerful woman.
Hillary Clinton, Forbes magazines' choice as the SECOND most powerful woman.
Michelle Obama, Forbes magazine's choice as the seventh most powerful woman.
However as I was going down the list, I could not help but notice that there was somebody, who you MIGHT expect to have a place on this list, missing.
I racked my brain but for the life of me I could not figure out who it was.
I mean it was right on the tip of my tongue but I just could not seem to figure out who was not represented on this list.
Ooooh, that's right. Well isn't THAT interesting?
The 2008 VP nominee, queen of the Teabaggers, shill for Fox News, reality show mainstay, Sarah Palin is NOT represented anywhere in the list of the top 100 most powerful women in the world?
Awesome.
You know all I have ever wanted was to help make this imbecile irrelevant. Mission accomplished.
Now if I can only help do the same for the entire Republican party.
P.S. Do you know what might be the unkindest cut of all for the Grizzled Mama?
That the woman who she undoubtedly sees as her personal Fox News interviewer/facilitator/gopher was named the 94th most powerful woman in the world.
I am SO looking forward to their next interview together.

President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton top list as most admired man and woman.
Courtesy of Gallup:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama continue to be named by Americans as the Most Admired Woman and Most Admired Man living today in any part of the world. Clinton has been the Most Admired Woman each of the last 10 years, and Obama has been the Most Admired Man four years in a row. Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin, and Condoleezza Rice round out the top five Most Admired women, while the top five Most Admired men also include George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Billy Graham, and Warren Buffett.
I am not at all pleased to see that George W. Bush is number two on the list of most admired men, though I do take some solace in the disparity of number between the President and him. I can't imagine how Trump and Gingrich made the list.
I am also displeased to see Palin at number four on the most admired women's list, though to be fair it is most likely the result of the Palin-bots attempting to skew the results by voting over and over again. (Think Bristol's completely undeserved ranking on DWTS.)
Which, if true, only makes this news even better.
One change in the list of Most Admired women is seen in Palin's fall from second place each of the last three years to fourth place this year.
It does my heart good to realize that even if they do cheat, there are not enough Palin-bots to effectively hijack a poll anymore.

Oprah remains muzzled and provides Sarah free reign to spew her lies and propaganda into American living rooms.
Here is what I found posted on Oprah.com. (I have not seen the show yet.)
After the 2008 presidential race, Sarah criticized some of the ways she and the campaign were portrayed in the media. Now on the other side of the desk, Sarah wants to get back to basics. "When I studied journalism, we learned all about the who, what, when, where and why of reporting. Just stating the facts," she says. "I'll engage in that, kind of ratcheting back down to the simplicity of what journalism should be about: just the basics and letting the people decide what their opinion will be."
After the announcement, media outlets questioned whether Sarah would abandon any future presidential bids—or use the role to gear up for campaigns to come.
"I'm not closing any door that maybe I find open in the future. And, thankfully, the Fox Network has allowed me to keep that door open," she says. "Maybe [politics] is in my future, but in the meantime [I] just really look forward to being a part of the news cycle again."
Oh I have no doubt she will remain part of the news cycle. I think less a part of the reporting side to the cycle and more part of the "Oh my did you hear what scandal is happening around Sarah and her family now?" side of the news cycle.
Now 19, Bristol is the proud mom of 1-year-old Tripp. Though she loves being a mom, she admits it's not easy to care for a child and work at the same time. "The lack of sleep definitely surprised me," she says. "A typical day starts at 4, 4:30."
Being a mom, Bristol says, makes her respect her own mother more. In a recent interview, she spoke about crying as she tried to rock her screaming baby to sleep. "I have this big supportive family and stuff, but I just felt so alone," she says. "[It] felt just like a breaking point where reality sunk in that, yeah, I have a kid. This is my life. This is my full-time job now."
Jesus this is such a blatant play for sympathy from Oprah's audience that I almost threw up in my mouth reading it.
I have never been an Oprah fan, but after this debacle I have lost what little respect I had for the woman. Sarah and Bristol should NEVER have been allowed to come on and serve this steaming pile of moose shit.
And by the way Sarah, Dana Carvey called and he would like his wig, his wardrobe, and his act back if you don't mind.
(You can read the rest of this article at Oprah.com by clicking the title. )
Not much, but here is the first video I can find posted of this interview.
Obviously Sarah is too insecure to go to Oprah's studio again.
I DO like Oprah's question here, especially since it shows that Bristol did not really think out her ridiculous, Sarah provided, statement about not having sex before marriage. Not to be too much of a guy here, but I can say from personal experience that if you are a single mother looking for a man, and you tell the guys you date "no sex before we are married", you will remain unmarried for a VERY LONG TIME.
I also like Oprah's response, "Alright, good luck to ya!"
Yeah no kidding.

Oprah and Palin, round two.
So has Oprah decided to REALLY interview Sarah Palin this time? Or is she going to let Sarah hide behind her children again, and shift the focus to Bristol?
And if she DOES focus on Bristol will she at least ask some probing questions? Like "Why do you need an LLC, and what is it for?" Perhaps she can ask for more details about this job Bristol supposedly has at a doctor's office. And if she is working at all of these jobs, and also attending college, then WHO pray tell is really watching her child? And who is paying for his child care? Bristol? Sarah?
And if there are times that she is working and cannot care for Tripp then why does she not save her money and just allow Levi to take him? Doesn't her child deserve time with his father?
If you click the title you can visit Oprah.com and pose these questions, or choose some of your own. I have no idea if it will help or not but I think it is important for Oprah to know that she is in a position to FINALLY get these women to answer some substantive questions.
Sarah is using her access to these media outlets to paint a VERY deceptive picture of how her family functions and who is taking care of these children. This is not the reality of what is going on behind the scenes, I can assure you of that.
Levi and his family filmed a segment for ET last Saturday, but I am still unable to find out when it will air. If anybody hears anything please let me know.

Keith does a very good job of calling Sarah out on her lies as well. There seem to be enough lies to keep almost ALL of the MSM, cable news shows, and bloggers busy for days to come.Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy
Now Rachel presents Nicolle Wallace's rebuttal of the lies Sarah Palin told about her. This is VERY powerful and reveals just how petty and deceptive Palin is willing to be.

Round up of impressions concerning Palin's Oprah interview.
Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy
Oooh that smarts!
Let's follow that up with Andrew Sullivan's liveblogging of the event.
Then we cut to the hilarious liveblogging of Wonkette.
And finally let's follow that up with a certain young man's opinion of being called a dead-beat porn star dad.
Oh Levi did NOT like that! Okay Levi you know what you have to do. No more Mr. Nice guy!
I apologize to everybody for the lack of liveblogging over at Mudflats. We tried our best but simply could NOT gain access.
Sarah Palin's Oprah show outtakes.
Why did Sarah write the book? Because Sarah LOVES writing! And this book was not too darn hard (Having a ghostwriter do most of the work will definitely simplify the process don'tcha know.)
You know what sucked about the 2008 election? Embarrassing her self in the interviews? No. Losing the election? No. Getting her e-mail hacked? DING DING! You my friend are a winner!
How did Sarah break the news of her VP selection to the family? The Oprah Show version. Of course Shannyn Moore points out that there were other versions in the past.
Sarah just loves her some Joe Lieberman! And he gave her the bestest advice ever!
Okay gang I am headed over to Shannyn's for the great Oprah Winfrey/Sarah Palin liveblogapalooza (Is that a word?). Anyhow if you want to know what we have to say just head on over to Mudflats. I will see you there!
Sarah Palin "prays" for Levi Johnston. So you know if Levi gets hit by lightning in the next couple of days who to blame.
According ot Politico:
Palin was asked about Johnston during an interview with television host Oprah Winfrey that aired Monday.
Referencing Johnston’s photo shoot with Playgirl magazine, Palin said “some of the things that he is doing is kind of heartbreaking.”
“I call that porn,” Palin said of the magazine shoot.
Okay taking off your clothes for a tasteful photoshoot is NOT porn. Famous models do it all of the time and nobody insults their character over it. Now filming yourself masturbating and then sending it to your lover? THAT is porn!
Palin said that she continued “to hope for the best, and pray for Levi,” but criticized the 19-year-old father for not spending enough time around his child.“He hasn’t seen the baby much while he has been on his media tours,” Palin said.
Levi has tried over and over again to see Tripp and he has been told no, or not now, or we don't trust you. Levi is trying to make money right now to prove he is a good father and can provide for his son in case he has to take this to court. If the Palin family had just allowed little Tripp to see his dad, than Sarah would have NOTHING to criticize Levi for.
This whole thing is Sarah's doing, and then she acts all innocent and supportive. Excuse me, but that is bullshit!
Palin also said that Johnston’s many claims about her family are untrue, starting with his insistence that he lived with them for a time around the birth of his child with Bristol, Palin’s oldest daughter.
“The whole premise of Levi ever having lived with Bristol is false,” she said.
Yeah she needs her followers to believe that because when Levi drops the bombshells in his book she wants him to be ignored by the Palin-bots. "Nothing to see her, just move along. The boy just crazy, he never saw any of that. Please believe me!" Well you know what lady? The boy was there, and you goddamn well know it!
Levi is going to write that book Sarah, bank on it! And even if for some reason he couldn't, your dirty laundry is headed for the national clothesline for the WHOLE WORLD to see regardless. And it will be delivered in a way that even the simple minded buffoons that follow you will be able to understand it.

Snippet of Sarah Palin interview on Oprah. Oh god the laugh! It is so eeevill!
Top seven signs that somebody is lying. How many can YOU spot?
1. No eye contact. Generally, if someone is lying they will not look you in the eye, at least during a certain part of the conversation. Normally, people make eye contact for at least half of a conversation, so anything less than this could be suspicious. One caveat: there are some people who will take great pains to make eye contact with you even if they're lying, simply to make you think they're not.
2. Change in voice. A change in the pitch of a person's tone, or a lot of stammering (umm, ah), or throat clearing could indicate a lie.
3. Unusual body language. If a person taps their foot a lot, fidgets with their hands, raises their shoulders, turns away from you or brings their hand to their face (to touch their chin or nose, etc.) -- in other words, if they act nervous or uncomfortable -- it could mean they're telling a lie. Also watch out for blushing (or becoming pale) and increased blinking.
4. Something sounds fishy. Making statements that contradict each other, are inconsistent or don't sound quite right are usually part of a lie.
5. Overly defensive. Sometimes when a person is lying they will become extremely defensive, refusing to answer any questions and even accusing you of lying. This may mean they have something to hide.
6. Changes subject easily. If someone is lying and you change the subject, chances are high that they'll go right along with it. A person telling the truth, however, will likely ask why you changed the subject and want to go back to it.
7. Humor or sarcasm. A guilty person will often try to change the subject using humor or sarcasm.
Okay not to belabor the point, but the laugh that issues forth after Oprah asks about Levi coming over for Thanksgiving is downright maniacal! The first thought that came to me was "bone chilling". And then her verbal response afterward just makes her seem even more bat-shit crazy.
Not only do I think Levi should not accept an invitation to dinner, I think he should stay the hell out of Wasilla on Thanksgiving! I mean holy crap!
The Huffington Post has some excerpts from the book for your perusal as well.
Here is one excerpt that is getting a lot of attention:
And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about one-tenth of the $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod.
She said when she asked the McCain campaign if it would help her financially, she was told McCain's camp would have paid all the bills if he'd won; since he lost, the vetting legal bills were her responsibility.I just heard on Hardball that the McCain campaign is calling this allegation "completely untrue" and "outrageous". (You can see that Hardball segment here.)
Are they suggesting that Sarah Palin is a liar?
You know I am guessing there will be a lot of that in the near future.
Update: Here is the quote from the McCain staffer. (Thanks Mona!)
"That is one hundred percent untrue," said the McCain official, who would only speak on the condition of anonymity in deference to McCain. "All those bills are from her personal attorney Thomas Van Flein, mostly relating to the Troopergate investigation and other ethics investigations. It is not legal to pay for those investigations out of general election funds, even if the campaign was so inclined."
Oh snap! Even Meg Stapletongue will not back her up on this one.
"The book remains embargoed," Stapleton said in an e-mail to CNN. "The Governor will appear on Oprah first to discuss the book's contents.”
Uh oh! When even your most faithful pet attack poodle will not back you up there is a good chance you are telling a lie that the facts will not support.
