Did a Trump bodyguard once call an attorney and say "If You Keep Fucking With Mr. Trump We Know Where You Live?" Probably.

When Donald Trump’s casino business went bankrupt in 2009, a lawyer whose clients stood to lose more than a billion dollars told police and the FBI that he got a menacing phone call from a man with a thick New York accent who threatened his family. 

“My name is Carmine. I don’t know why you’re fucking with Mr. Trump but if you keep fucking with Mr. Trump, we know where you live and we’re going to your house for your wife and kids,” the caller said, according to the account that the attorney, Kristopher Hansen, gave to the Holmdel police department in New Jersey. Hansen speculated that the caller was Trump’s bodyguard. 

According to FBI case notes, the phone call to Hansen was made at 2:05 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2009, from a New York City telephone booth located across the street from the Ed Sullivan Theater, where Trump was a guest that day on The Late Show With David Letterman. Three former employees of the show told BuzzFeed News that guests were asked to arrive in advance of the 4:30 taping, though accounts differ on just how far in advance.

The incident, which has never before been made public, came at a time when Trump’s signature mix of celebrity glamor and ruthless business tactics was on stark display. The implosion of his flagship casino company, Trump Entertainment Resorts, left many investors and contractors empty-handed. But Trump walked away from the wreckage, gilding his public image and largely denying responsibility. “I wasn’t involved at all in management,” Trump told Letterman. Trump had been chairman of the board until five days earlier, and his daughter Ivanka had also been on the board.

After receiving the phone call Mr. Hansen was so shaken that he notified both the police and the FBI.

Of course there is no definitive proof that the phone call was delivered by a Trump bodyguard, or associate.

But I think we all suspect that is most likely the case.

Remember that incident with the Rolling Stones promoter back in 1989? 

“One of two things is going to happen,” Cohl told Trump. “You’re going to leave the building and, at 6:40, The Rolling Stones are going to speak on CBS News, or you’re not going to leave the building and I’m going to go on and do an interview to explain to the world why the pay-per-view was canceled” 

Then, while literally telling Donald Trump “You’re fired,” Cohl noticed Trump’s “three shtarkers he’s with, in trench coats, two of them are putting on gloves and the other one is putting on brass knuckles.” 

Cohl signaled his head of security, who “got 40 of the crew with tire irons and hockey sticks and screwdrivers,” effectively sending off Trump and his goons.

As you see, there's a pattern.

Now do you understand by Trump feels such an affinity for thugs like Vladimir Putin and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte?

Rolling Stone: What do you make of the Trump phenomenon? 

Bruce Springsteen: Well, you know, the republic is under siege by a moron, basically. The whole thing is tragic. Without overstating it, it's a tragedy for our democracy. When you start talking about elections being rigged, you're pushing people beyond democratic governance. And it's a very, very dangerous thing to do. Once you let those genies out of the bottle, they don't go back in so easy, if they go back in at all. The ideas he's moving to the mainstream are all very dangerous ideas – white nationalism and the alt-right movement. The outrageous things that he's done – not immediately disavowing David Duke? These are things that are obviously beyond the pale for any previous political candidate. It would sink your candidacy immediately.

The interviewer noted that while Springsteen clearly dislikes Trump that he has not exactly come out strongly in favor of Hillary either. Springsteen answered that partially by suggesting that he does not think he has been approached by her campaign, but then he answered a follow up question with a little more certainty.

Rolling Stone: Is there a lack of enthusiasm for Hillary on your own part? 

Springsteen: No. I like Hillary. I think she would be a very, very good president.

You know that right now super Springsteen fan Chris Christie is thinking "Oh God, I've made such a terrible mistake."

Yes I know that the opinions of celebrities are not supposed to matter, but I also know that they most certainly do.

Canadian concert producer Michael Cohl tells the story of how he fired Donald Trump and kicked him out of his own building.

So Michael Cohl was working on a pay-per-view deal for the Rolling Stones Steel Wheels tour, which was the biggest rock and roll tour in history back in 1989.

During the negotiations Cohl had trouble finding somebody to partner with on the pay-per-view part of the deal, so he settled on Donald Trump.

The only problem was that the Rolling Stones hated Donald Trump and refused to have their name associated with him.

Cohl then got Trump to promise to stay in the background and not show up at any venues and made the deal.

Unfortunately Trump decides that he wants to attend the Atlantic City show, and starts to get a little pushy about it.

After Keith Richards essentially threatens to stab Trump is Cohl cannot get him out of the building this is the exchange that Cohl has with the Donald, courtesy of Pollstar:

 I said, “Donald. You lied. You broke your promise. One of two things is going to happen. You’re going to leave the building and, at 6:40, The Rolling Stones are going to speak on CBS News, or you’re not going to leave the building and I’m going to go on and do an interview to explain to the world why the pay-per-view was canceled. I know it’s your building and…” – and in my head I’m going, this is so crazy, right? I’m trying to throw Donald Trump out of his own building. 

But, anyway, the bottom line is I look at Donald and said, “You and Marla (Maples) have to go. You’re fired.” He looks at me and goes berserk. 

“You don’t know anything! Your guys suck! I promote Mike Tyson! I promote heavyweight fights!” And I notice the three shtarkers he’s with, in trench coats, two of them are putting on gloves and the other one is putting on brass knuckles. I go on the walkie-talkie and I call for Jim Callahan, who was head of our security, and I go, “Jim, I think I’m in a bit of trouble.” And he says, “Just turn around.” 

I turn around. He’s got 40 of the crew with tire irons and hockey sticks and screwdrivers. 

“And now, are you gonna go, Donald?” 

And off he went. 

And that was the night I fired Donald Trump.

So to be clear here Trump reneged on his part of a sensitive deal and when confronted about it threatened to have his thugs physically abuse a man who called him on it.

This was almost thirty years ago, but I think this is likely the kind of response we can expect if Trump loses the nomination.

He will indeed encourage rioting in the streets, and will undoubtedly do everything in his power to sabotage the campaign of the GOP candidate who does get the nomination.

He is a thug, and if he does not get his way he will react like a thug.
