Gene Simmons has done the impossible and been banned for life from Fox News for being an abusive pig. Update!

This was Simmons on Fox and Friends right before he decided to stab his career as a conservative cable news guest right through the heart.

 Courtesy of the Daily Beast:

Things seemed to be going well enough when Simmons jumped up from the Fox & Friends couch to help meteorologist Janice Dean do her weather report—a delighted Dean later posted video on her Twitter feed—and then sat on a panel with Bartiromo, who asked his views on the Harvey Weinstein sexual-misconduct scandal.

“The lunatics have taken over the insane asylum when respected business entities such as yourself ask guys that like to stick their tongues out,” Simmons answered, “what I think of Harvey Weinstein.”

“Okay, I’m a powerful and attractive man, and what I’m about to say is deadly serious,” he continued. “Men are jackasses. From the time we’re young we have testosterone. I’m not validating it or defending it.”

Maybe not, but within minutes he was demonstrating it. According to a knowledgeable Fox News source, Simmons showed up on the 14th floor to do a book-plugging interview with FoxNews.com’s entertainment section, but instead barged in on a staff meeting uninvited.

“Hey chicks, sue me!” he shouted, and then pulled open his red velvet shirt to reveal his chest and belly, according to the source. Then he starting telling Michael Jackson pedophilia jokes, and then bopped two employees on the head with his book, making derisive comments about their comparative intelligence according to the sound their heads made when struck.

“It was pretty severe,” the source said.

Simmons' behavior was reported up the chain to human resources and it was decided that he would be banned from Fox News for life, and that his prerecorded interview would NOT be shown.

Wow!

So now the former home of Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly is banning physically abusive chauvinistic pigs from the building.

Look out Sean Hannity!

Update: Guess who had to weigh in as well.

And remember this is after she suggested that Al Franken should lost his job just yesterday.

"Hypocrisy, calling on line one."

Mrs Duggar, the human baby factory that popped out 19 children, reveals the secret to a happy marriage is to never say no to sex.

Courtesy of Slate:

The advice comes from the best possible source, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. The reason they are good role models is because despite having 19 kids, the “romance is still strong.” In fact, they are “like a newlywed couple every day,” says Jim Bob. The No. 1 secret? “Say yes to sex, even when you’re tired.” Apparently a friend once gave Michelle advice she will never forget: “In your marriage there will be times you're going to be very exhausted. Your hubby comes home after a hard day's work, you get the baby to bed, and he is going to be looking forward to that time with you. ... Anyone can fix him lunch, but only one person can meet that physical need of love that he has, and you always need to be available when he calls.” But don’t worry. This isn’t creepy or anything, because, “it's not all sexytime at the Duggars. They abstain when Michelle has her period, and also after childbirth: 80 days before sex if it's a girl, 40 days after a boy.”

Wow! What a revelation to married folks everywhere.

If you always give in to the needs and desires of your spouse, regardless of how you feel, then they will always be happy.  And if you are like Mrs Duggar, a person whose identity is completely secondary to that of her husband, that means by definition that the maria will be happy.

Just so long as you don't want any autonomy of your own, or desire to be more than your husband's maid, live in cook, or sex slave.

These people have nineteen children. That is not a marriage that is a puppy mill for human beings.

This woman is not happy, she is simply too exhausted to attempt to analyze her emotions.

Perhaps I am not the best person to share my opinion, since I am twice divorced, but I could never be in a relationship with a woman who simply caved to my whims simply to keep me happy, or hid her emotions from me for fear of upsetting me.

That is how a whipped dog acts toward its abusive master, not how a wife should act toward their loving husbands.

Time to change the name of Bristol Palin's unreality show to "Life's a BAD Tripp!"

I am still having trouble making out exactly what it is that Tripp said, which was then bleeped out by the producers. However I will admit that it really does not sound like he is saying "fuck," but that it could most definitely be the word "faggot."

If so, and I am not at all sure, then that is in fact MUCH worse than if he simply dropped the "F" bomb. People say "fuck" for all kinds of reasons, including simply stubbing their toe.  But the word "faggot" is ONLY used to insult somebody using a gay slur, and he would have to have heard that in the home from one or both of his two caregivers, Willow and Bristol.  Which of course is the kind of language that Willow has a history of using.

This show may finally do what Bristol has claimed she has wanted to do since her days as a spokesperson for Candies, show that being a mother is hard that teenagers are not prepared for the responsibility.

Despite reports that Bristol practically raised her two sisters, neither she NOR Willow show ANY parenting skill whatsoever. They do not set good boundaries, they laugh at everything inappropriate that the child says, and they threaten him with punishments it appears they never carry though with, instead of providing appropriate consequences for his actions which provide him a sense of continuity and safety.

In short, they treat Tripp like one of those Teacup Chihuahuas that rich ladies carry around in their purse everywhere they go.  He is a person, and Bristol continues to treat him like a prop. Which is something I have little doubt she will live to regret after this kid hits his teens and becomes the poster child for dysfunctional parenting.

I have to admit though that it is hard to fault Bristol and Willow too much, from EVERYTHING I have ever heard their mother was constantly self absorbed and only minimally involved in their lives.  And as Joe McGinniss wrote, when Todd was not home these kids essentially were left to fend for themselves.

And if ever we needed proof of those allegations I think this show is providing more and more evidence of how poorly these girls were raised with each and every episode.
