This incident is pulled from a rather in depth GQ article posted the other day about Ben Carson and his political aspirations:
A month later, Carson was invited to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference, where he met Sarah Palin, who greeted him with the bowing "We're not worthy" routine from Wayne's World. (Carson, for his part, thought Palin "looked anorexic.")
Now like I said in the title Carson is fairly out there on most things, such as calling Obamacare "the worst thing since slavery."
However he IS a neurosurgeon and therefore an MD, and if his first impression of Sarah Palin is that she has an eating disorder, I would give that some credence.
Not that we couldn't have determined that diagnosis on our own of course.
To give Carson a little more credit (Not something I imagine I will do very often.), he is also the first potential GOP candidate to call that police shooting in South Carolina an execution.
Gee, that's at least two things he is right about.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

He may be just as wingnutty as the rest of them, but Ben Carson knows a sick person when he sees her.

Bristol Palin's ghostwriter blogs about the dangers of anorexia. Now what could have prompted that concern?
So on Brancy's blog there was a story about a young woman who was rescued from her debilitating eating disorder by a group of concerned fellow gym members:
This group of gym goers — called the “Nashville angels” — took Lauren to the hospital in just the nick of time. The doctors said she would’ve died — perhaps that day — had the strangers not intervened.
Now see that's very sweet. I just can't help wondering by Bristol/Nancy French would post about something that has nothing to do with abortion, Down syndrome, or attacking the President.
You know it seems like I would at least have a hint.
Hang on, it's on the tip of my brain. It'll come to me.

Oh look the Walking Dead is back! Oh wait that's just Sarah Palin.
Okay since so many of you sent me this link I guess we might as well post the picture from the same day as yesterday's post.
By the way over at the link above I found the most stalkerrific Palin Facebook page EVER!
Kind of makes me think this is the kind of page that John Hinkley would have created and dedicated to Jodie Foster if Facebook had been around in the 80's. Pretty scary stuff.
P.S. For those angry that I teased them about the Walking Dead, don't worry it really IS back on February 5th. Until then you will just have to make do with the hideous substitute above.

In response to questions about her dramatic weight loss Sarah Palin claims to be writing a book about fitness. Somebody needs to explain the difference between "fit" and "skeletal" to her.
Courtesy of People:
New photos of Sarah Palin looking very thin have caused a stir online, and now the former Alaska governor and 2008 VP nominee tells PEOPLE she's just fine and is, in fact, working with her family on a new fitness book.
In an email to PEOPLE on Tuesday, Palin – who's known to treat houseguests to a smorgasbord of homemade treats such as moose chili, chocolate cream pies, pecan pies and lemon meringue pies – wrote, "Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!"
Palin, 48, says she will discuss the topics in "our unique and motivating book."
"We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy," she adds.
It is unclear if Palin has a contract for the upcoming book or when the work will be published
Are you fucking serious? There NO contract!
Who in the hell would give this walking cadaver a contract to write a book on healthy eating?
This emaciated look is NOT due to counting calories and exercise!
That is due to either a chronic illness, a debilitating depression, or body dysmorphic disorder. (Anybody see Todd lately?)
According to Steve Schmidt, Palin was living on Atkins bars and diet soda during the 2008 campaign, and Frank Bailey and others have said that Palin often resorts to fasting in order to lose weight.
Those are not techniques that will sell any weight loss books I can promise you that!
Besides did she REALLY say that the whole family was writing this book?
Somehow I cannot imagine that Bristol, who claimed that she gained this much weight while exercising up to eight hours day, and who went to get lipo dissolve injections to help her lose weight during her short lived reality show.
Just another Palin lie. But a damn funny one I have to admit!
